Google Can Now Detect AI Images & Deepfakes

[00:00:00]Google can now detect AI images and deep fake videos. It can also trace the exact history of that image. They have launched content credential verification directly into Chrome and search. Now every AI image will have a synth ID which is Google's invisible watermark.

[00:00:19]Google can show that the photo was originally captured on a camera but later modified using Gen AI tools. Now, this is a groundbreaking new layer of infrastructure to counter the deep fake crisis by giving users a way to verify reality instead of just guessing. And in this massive industry shift, major players including OpenAI, Nvidia, and 11 Labs have also officially joined the alliance to adopt Synth ID across their own models.
