[00:00:06]We are checking out some lingering showers here on live Doppler 2 HD radar.

[00:00:11]Just a few lighter showers throughout Clark County, Champagne County, back into Miami and Montgomery counties. And we'll keep rain chances going for the next couple of hours, but beyond 7:00 a.m. it does look like we get back to dry conditions for the rest of the day.

[00:00:27]We had that cold front come through.

[00:00:28]It's just sort of stalled across the region with waves of low pressure traveling along it. And that brought in some steady rain overnight, but all of the steady rain has shifted off to the east now and we're starting to see drier conditions, just lighter showers rolling through. Uh clouds still in place, of course. Those will break a little bit through mid-morning. And then we will see the clouds tend to fill back in during the afternoon. Decent soaking rain now for the month we are at 1.04 and we had about an inch of that fall yesterday. We are above normal now for our monthly total. A decent surplus on our seasonal precipitation. Still a slight deficit for the year, but not terrible at just over 6/10. Right now it is wet in downtown Dayton from that overnight and early morning rain.

[00:01:13]Temperatures are chilly. We've dropped down to 44. It's also breezy, a north-northeast wind at 12 mph.

[00:01:19]It's making it feel more like the upper 30s with the wind chill. So if you're trying to get out for a walk, pretty much at any point today is looking okay.

[00:01:28]Uh early, still the slight chance of a sprinkle or light shower, but really we're expecting some breaks in the clouds to occur by mid to late morning.

[00:01:35]50° at 10:00. Lunchtime temperature 54 with clouds developing again. And right around 58 for a high at 4:00 today. So definitely a cool feeling afternoon and the breeze looks to stay up. Tonight into tomorrow morning we may have some spots hit those upper 30s. Bellefontaine 38, 39 Wapakoneta, Sidney, Urbana. Could be some isolated areas of frost up this way. Elsewhere we're looking at lows right around 40°. Here's a look at Future Track showing the rain moving away from us as we head into the afternoon. Initial breaks in the clouds, but then the clouds will fill back in heading through lunchtime. And it still looks mostly cloudy for the drive home at 5:00. Overnight partial clearing occurs and tomorrow we'll see sun mixing with the clouds. It does look dry through lunchtime tomorrow and even later in the day dry conditions are expected. But tomorrow night and into Friday rain chances will be coming back up again.

[00:02:30]Here's a look at your forecast for today. We'll have a high of 58°. It'll be mostly cloudy and cooler with a breeze coming in from the northwest between 10 and 15.

[00:02:38]Partial clearing tonight with a chilly low near 40 in town. Some of those northern counties hit the upper 30s. And then tomorrow is a partly sunny cool day with a high of 58°.

[00:02:50]And we'll stay dry tomorrow for the daylight hours, but heading into Friday we start to see rain chances. May see something light in the morning, but a better chance will arrive late day. Rain is likely Friday night, but Saturday looks dry and really nice with a high of 72. Mother's Day will feature a pretty decent chance for some scattered showers and thunderstorms.
