Cryptocurrency buyback programs, while demonstrating company commitment to reducing supply, typically have minimal short-term impact on price and should not be the primary investment thesis; long-term value creation depends more on ecosystem adoption, strategic partnerships, product development, and real-world utility rather than token supply reduction alone.

Zebec Just Bought Back 50 Million ZBCN Tokens – Does It Really Matter? -ZBCN COIN NEWS Today-
Added:Welcome back to ZBCN today, the channel where we cut through the noise and focus on what actually matters.
Over the past several days, much of the discussion surrounding Zebeck Network has centered on various rumors, concerns, and so-called issues that have circulated throughout the community.
However, after taking a closer look at many of these claims, a large portion of them have either been clarified or effectively debunked.
We have already covered those topics in detail. So, there is no need to spend too much time revisiting them today.
Instead, it is worth focusing on the broader picture and examining the areas where the data continues to tell a different story.
One of the most important points discussed recently was trading volume.
While many investors focus purely on raw volume numbers, what truly matters is the relationship between volume and market capitalization.
That ratio provides a much clearer picture of actual market participation and interest.
When viewed through that lens, Zebeck Network has continued to perform exceptionally well.
As discussed previously, Zebeck's volume metrics have outperformed several major cryptocurrencies, including Ethereum, XRP, and ICP. In fact, among all the assets reviewed, only Pepe posted stronger relative volume numbers.
That is a notable achievement considering the size and recognition of the other projects involved.
At the same time, it is important to understand what this actually means.
Meme coins frequently generate enormous trading activity simply because they attract short-term speculation and rapid turnover. High volume alone does not automatically indicate stronger fundamentals, greater utility, or better long-term prospects. It simply reflects a higher level of activity. Therefore, the volume discussion should not be viewed as a concern for Zebeck Network.
If anything, it demonstrates that the asset continues to attract meaningful market participation relative to its size.
Beyond volume, we have also discussed several developments across the ecosystem, including the mobile application tutorial and the ongoing ZBCN buyback program.
The buyback announcement, in particular, generated a significant amount of discussion among community members.
However, from my perspective, this development does not materially alter the overall investment thesis surrounding Zebec Network.
The reason is straightforward.
I never became interested in Zebec because of buybacks or because of its deflationary characteristics.
While deflationary tokenomics can certainly be beneficial, they are not sufficient on their own to drive long-term value creation.
A cryptocurrency can have excellent deflationary mechanics, but if the underlying project lacks utility, adoption, or meaningful demand, those tokenomics will not suddenly make it successful.
Deflation is simply one factor among many. It can support value creation, but it cannot replace strong execution, strategic partnerships, product development, and real-world adoption.
Investors often place too much emphasis on token burns and buybacks while overlooking the factors that ultimately determine whether a project succeeds or fails over the long run.
Recently, Zebec Network announced that its Q2 2026 ZBCN buyback had been completed.
According to the company's statement, more than 50 million ZBCN tokens were repurchased, representing approximately $105,000 worth of tokens during the quarter. The announcement also stated that the recurring buyback program continues to expand throughout the Zebec ecosystem and that all repurchased tokens are locked and will not re-enter circulation.
That final point is particularly important because it directly addresses questions regarding the long-term impact of the program.
The company has publicly stated that these tokens will remain out of circulation.
If circumstances were ever to change, those statements remain publicly documented and available for review.
Transparency matters, and having a public record creates accountability.
Nevertheless, despite the positive response from many community members, others focused on the size of the buyback itself.
Their argument was that $105,000 over 3 months amounts to approximately $35,000 per month, which they considered relatively small.
While that calculation is correct, it is important to evaluate the program within the proper context. First, ZBCN is not [clears throat] required to conduct buybacks at all. Many cryptocurrency projects never implement a recurring buyback mechanism.
Second, when compared to similar initiatives across the industry, a recurring monthly buyback of approximately $35,000 is not insignificant. It represents a continuing effort to gradually reduce circulating supply while reinforcing the ecosystem.
Everything you hear on ZBCN today is for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing in this video should be considered financial advice, investment advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any asset.
At the same time, expectations should remain realistic.
Even if this exact pace continued consistently, investors should not expect dramatic price movements solely because of the buyback program.
If we assume, purely hypothetically, that the average purchase price remains unchanged and the company continues repurchasing tokens at the same rate throughout an entire year, the total amount acquired would still represent less than 200 million ZBCN. Extending that same scenario over a decade would result in approximately 2 billion ZBCN being repurchased.
Relative to the overall supply, that represents roughly 2% of supply over 10 years. This calculation highlights the reality of the situation.
On a year-to-year basis, the impact would likely be difficult to notice.
Even after several years, the influence would remain relatively modest.
However, over a much longer period, the cumulative effect becomes more meaningful. If the same pace were maintained for 20 years, the reduction would approach roughly 4% of supply.
Over 30 years, it could reach approximately 6%.
Therefore, the buyback program does have an effect, but it is an effect that develops gradually over extended periods of time.
It is not designed to create immediate scarcity shocks or dramatic short-term price appreciation. Rather, it functions as a long-term support mechanism operating quietly in the background.
That is why I continue to view the buyback program as only a small component of the overall investment case.
If we imagine Zcash network as a thousand piece puzzle, the buyback program represents only a handful of those pieces.
It contributes to the broader picture, but it is not what ultimately determines whether the project achieves the next level of growth and adoption.
The factors that matter far more are strategic partnerships, ecosystem integrations, product expansion, user adoption, and the ability to establish meaningful relationships throughout the financial technology and digital asset sectors.
Those are the developments capable of generating substantial value over time.
Even broader exchange availability through platforms such as Coinbase or Binance would likely have a more significant impact at this stage than the current scale of buybacks.
For that reason, I view the program as a positive addition rather than a transformational catalyst.
It is not the foundation of the investment thesis.
Instead, it is a supplementary feature that supports the broader ecosystem and demonstrates the company's willingness to return value through supply reduction.
Looking further into the public data, the wallet associated with the buyback program currently shows approximately $136,000 in value along with a series of related transactions.
Community reactions have been mixed as expected. Many investors have welcomed the initiative and view it as a positive step. Others have questioned whether a quarterly buyback of approximately $105,000 is meaningful given that the cryptocurrency itself carries a market capitalization exceeding $200 million.
However, it's important to distinguish between the market capitalization of a token and the valuation of the company behind it.
Those are not the same thing. A cryptocurrency reaching a $200 million market cap does not automatically imply that the underlying business should be evaluated as a company worth that exact amount.
Market capitalization reflects the value of the token supply, whereas company valuation involves an entirely different set of considerations.
As a result, direct comparisons between those figures can often be misleading.
Overall, I remain positive about the existence of the buyback program, but I do not view it as the primary reason to invest in Zcash network.
Anyone whose entire investment thesis depends on buybacks should spend more time examining the broader fundamentals of the project.
The long-term story is much larger than and token repurchase program.
Turning to current market conditions, Bitcoin is trading at approximately $65,500.
Zebec Network currently ranks 126th among 8,117 active cryptocurrencies with a market capitalization of approximately $201 million and daily trading volume of roughly $12 million.
Performance remains mixed across different time frames. Over the last month, ZBCN is down more than 17.5%.
Over the past week, it has declined less than 7%. Over the previous 24 hours, however, the asset has gained nearly 1%.
Looking at network participation, Zebec Network currently has 109,226 holders.
That remains a substantial holder base and continues to represent an important metric when evaluating the project's overall adoption and reach within the broader cryptocurrency market.
