La Minute du patrimoine préférée de notre PDG追加:
Moonlit nights, chatty letters, rainy days. I like daydreaming.
I love this colorful little island of Ruby, Emerald, and Sapphire.
I chose Lucy Maud Montgomery, the author of course of the worldwide famous Anne of Green Gables.
Yet often my dark moods come.
I'm possessed body and soul by this depression. The diaries tell you a couple of things about her. One is the struggles that she had to get the book out as a woman in the 19th [music] century. So you have a very contemporary issue at heart there. And the other is that Lucy Maud Montgomery struggled with depression. And out of depression, she not only produced something you know, terrific and worldwide, she she created this place [music] of joy from her own you know, from the middle of her own despair. So now instead of a 19th century [music] story that no one can quite get, now you're into you know, issues of gender, you know, prejudice in a certain time. [music] Now you've got something really contemporary that again speaks to that, you know, everyone can look at and nod and say, "Yeah, I get that." They say women shouldn't write.
Some days I almost give up.
But I cannot contain my imagination.
[music] The minutes remind us or tell us for the first time the people in other areas, they might have dressed differently, they might have spoken differently, they might not have had the same technology.
But at heart, >> [music] >> their soul was there. They worried about the same things, they laughed at things, they worried about love, they worried about the future, they worried about things around, and they expressed that in the way they were. So the minutes are telling stories of individuals, and when we look at that, we say, "Hey, you know, they weren't that far different." So now I really get it. Now I see it.
I gave her my love of nature, >> [music] >> my love of books, and my childhood dreams.
>> will always have things that we should do better and need to do better. Um but the other thing about Canada is that we always in the end we manage to do better. And the beauty of the minutes is, you know, [music] in looking back, it teaches you to look forward as well.
Lucy Maud Montgomery battled depression, [music] rejection, and sexism to become known around the world for Anne of Green Gables and 19 other novels.
