The Power of God Isn’t What You Think

[00:00:00]People say the power of God means signs, wonders, or emotional experiences. But is that really what the Bible says? For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. That's in 1 Corinthians 4:20.

[00:00:13]So, what is that power? The Bible already defined it. The Bible defines itself. For the preaching of the cross unto us which are saved, it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18. The power of God is the God gospel that actually saves. Paul says this, "And my speech and my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the spirit and of power, that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God." 1 Corinthians 2:4-5.

[00:00:49]It's not about impressive speech. It's not about emotional moments. It's about the truth being made real, so your faith isn't built on men, but on God. And what did Paul preach? "But we preach Christ crucified." That's 1 Corinthians 1:23.
