BOWFIN Fishing with Plastic Baits in a SWAMP

[00:00:57]I'm doing a little hiking right now. I got my fishing poles, plenty of mosquito spray on. They bad.

[00:01:06]It's been raining. Water's messed up in a lot of places. So with the water messed up, I don't have but a few places that I can target these grrenels and be successful because when I'm looking, we've had trees blow all over and I done seen a lot of pigs pig sign. I mean, I ain't seen no pigs.

[00:01:29]They got them a wall right there, but they've been doing a lot of rooting. But you have to get above a beaver dam to catch these grrenel because they like that water steel to bite good.

[00:01:40]Uh they are in the other water, but I don't know what it is when it was raining like this and that water up and down, falling and rising and muddied up.

[00:01:50]They just don't bite real good. Not for the way I like to fish for them with plastic baits.

[00:01:57]A lot of people ask me, "What's the best bait?" Well, cut bait is by far the best bait. It's just not as fun to me. So, I am headed out here to a hole that I know's got some grenel in it because my birthday is tomorrow. Probably today time you watching this or yesterday, I don't know when I get it ed, but I want to do some ground fishing. And not only did I want to, I'm going to I'm fixing to go hunting. We going to catch one some way or another. So hang with me. I done made it out here to my hole. A lot of it, a lot of this is dried up and bad bad lo. I did see some chant trails on the way into the swamp on the side of the road. On the way out, we're going to stop and pick them and look at them. I got all my stuff put down there and y'all them mosquito spray. Oh lord. I'm going have to put on my hand and rub it. I mean them things are tough today.

[00:03:07]I got a couple of things I need to get while I'm getting good.

[00:03:13]Number one, this I don't think I'm going to need that, but I'm going to need this. So, I got my fish stringer. I'm going to put it in my pocket.

[00:03:33]And I got my grabbers and old t-u special. These is the best ones I have had yet. So, let me get my pole.

[00:03:42]We going to fish with this brand new cast king rod, y'all. I've been wanting to try this thing out on some grrenel.

[00:03:50]We going to do it. Now, I always keep this rod's a little bit long. I like a few baits in my pocket. So, we're gonna start out because if you're in a bind down there, you need to get one out your pocket. I'm gonna start out with my grenel getter.

[00:16:05]I don't understand that breaking. If it had broke down there at my knot, I would have understood that. I would have said, "Well, I tied it wrong or didn't tie it good." No, it broke right up there at the tip of my rod, like my rod cut it or something.

[00:26:06]So we we done fishing with them. I think we'll spray it real good. I got to fix it though. I got Well, y'all, I have fished now for quite a while and not had a bite. So, I think it's safe to assume they really not biting.

[00:26:45]You know, they ain't really want to swallow it. So, we've had a good time.
