It worked though | Wordle #1800 (May 24, 2026)Added:
Hello, let's do Wordle for Sunday, May 24th. Yesterday we spun the wheel, it said to start with mocha.
All right, just to see.
I believe this is Wordle 1800. I don't know if they're going to do something special or not.
But uh we just play normally. S, T, R, L, N are all still available. We have to use the C cuz we're in hard mode.
Um I wouldn't mind like ending in an E.
Like do like a C R word ending in E.
That doesn't introduce E and R at the same time, but with a C present and not at the middle, I think we're not in any danger of E R, so.
Um what would we want to do here? I can't do crone, which would have been great.
Or crate.
Can I use an L or this doesn't feel like I can use a common letter here. We have I and we have U.
I mean crime is even gone. We don't have the M. We've solved crime. Uh crape. I could do crape, but not uh double E is good to check if you know that there's already an E, but not knowing if there's an E, I don't really want to do double E.
Um so let's just not do C R then. Let's do something else, maybe C L.
Um I still want to end in E if I can, but maybe there's something else to do.
Like is clint a word?
Clint. I don't think so.
There's clerk.
Honestly, of all the things I thought of, clerk is is not bad considering limitations. There's probably some amazing word that I'll think of, but clerk is what I'm going with.
Ooh, E is in the middle. That's interesting. C is not first.
And I I tested the K, so it's not E C K.
So I think I eliminated some good stuff.
Um I almost want to do like an ECT, but elect is the only word I can think of that does that.
Elect, erect, both which are not possible.
Um where's the C go?
>> [cough] >> Where does the C go?
Are we doing like an ECE word?
Or an ECY word?
I mean, it could be something like geese. Oh no, that's SCE. Hmm, is there an ECE? I Qu- quests.
I don't know. Maybe maybe there is an ECY I haven't thought of.
Why why Is spect a word?
Like spectacle or or I might try it just to see what's going on here. Okay, it does accept it at least. It's probably not on the answer list, though, but who knows.
Um so the C does go there. There's no T, there's no P, no S. Okay.
Um ECY is still an option. ECE is still an option.
I just don't know how those would work.
Oh, you know what does ECE is deuce.
Wait, no, that's EUCE.
Okay.
Never mind. I thought I saw it. Uh is there an IECE?
Like peace.
Give me a piece of pizza, but there's no P anymore. Niece.
Like your brother or sister's daughter.
There it is. Why was that so hard to think of? I don't know.
All right. Well, I wonder what it thinks of spect.
That's mostly a clerk inspect. I want to know what it thinks of my guesses. I mean, I got it in four. That's it's a four. Nothing really to write home about, but at least I didn't lose.
Uh interesting one, though. Like the I don't think many words do this.
Let's look at um Sorry, what are we looking at? Let's spin the wheel, the members wheel, and see what we're going to start with tomorrow.
It will be duets. Suggested by drifting shade.
That's um that's not bad. It won't be the answer cuz uh it's plural, but it's the letters are like half good, half bad. It's kind of interesting. Or half mid. They're not None of them are bad.
All right.
Um let's do some analysis. I am very curious today, especially about my own self.
All right. So, the answer was niece, and we started with mocha.
All right. There were 100 words left. It suggests cruet. Of course, I should have thought of cruet. I did clerk. It's got price, crept, crest, cuter, trice, truce, cutie, slice, and crepe. So, crepe would have been better according to the bot than clerk.
Um I wonder how bad clerk was. 2.640.
Uh clerk was 2.750.
I mean, it's it's down there, but honestly, not a huge difference. Um so, we have five words left. Eject, niece, piece, scene, and sent.
So, most of them, other than eject, just get you the answer afterwards. It's a It's kind of interesting.
How does that work? So, not eject, but niece obviously gets peace. That would be mostly green.
Um between scene and sent, we're worried about the T at the end or the E at the end.
So, niece ending in E tells you whether it's E or T at the end. And then eject is just the one without without what?
Um Oh, eject has the green C there instead of the yellow C.
Right. Okay.
Peace does the same thing.
And then C in verse sent again it's the the ending E versus the ending T and then also the location of the C that that determines it. Okay, and I went spect.
Which probably wasn't great.
But the word was almost certainly niece, so it was the only thing left. Very interesting.
Felt like it was the only thing, but I wanted to be sure.
Uh cruet.
So after cruet there's 11 words left.
We're going to go pence.
And from there it's only niece.
Um if we did peace obviously it's only niece after that.
If we do spice which is equal, we might end up with wins niece. So it's probably going to get a four. There's this one edge case where it ends up with a five if it gets very unlucky.
All right. Um let's look at tales.
So with just the E we go drone.
Then from here there's 12 answers left.
We're going to go hence, hinge, or niece niche.
And then so we we're getting niece in four almost certainly I think.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
We get niece in Sorry, that's a Sorry, it's um yeah, it's a four. Yeah.
Everyone's getting fours today. All right, steel.
E in the middle it crepe crepe keeps coming up.
And after crepe it's only niece, so maybe I should have gone crepe instead of clerk.
I just I couldn't justify double E. Um all right. Adieu.
Most common starting word among players.
With the I and the E we go relit. Yeah, I get the R, get the L, get the T. You need You need the common letters.
Um and then after that we go since.
And then niece. So it's a four.
All right, audio.
After audio with the I we go pieced.
And then the I and the E placed. We're going to try NG with binge.
And that gets us to niece or niece. So, it's a four or five.
Uh stare, another common starting word.
I maybe popularized by Stair Cloud Pinkie, I'm not sure. It's also just like something you'd think of if you want common letters.
Um boule, with this uh E we go boule.
And then that's all gray, so we're going to go chime.
And then finally we might get niece in four, but more likely we're getting niece in five with the uh three answers left. Just go for one of them.
All right. Trace tries to get in two, probably not today. Although with the CE with only 17 words left is niece niece is not tied for first place. We can't say it gets lucky. We got to go spice.
And then we can say it gets lucky with me. No, it still doesn't get lucky.
Wow, okay. So, it ends up with a four.
Even if we say it got super lucky, it still ends up with a four.
Um clasp.
Cuz the whole point of trace is um if you want a starting word that gives you the highest chance if you're lucky to uh get it in two, then trace is the one. But, it's it's such a small edge over most other words.
Anyway, with the yellow C we're going trice.
And then we're down to these three. So, it depends on we might get a three, might get a four, more likely four.
All right, let's go back and check the official bot and see what people are doing.
All right, I'm going to save this image so I can analyze in regular mode.
Niece.
All right.
And did I beat the bot?
88 skill, all right. It probably didn't like spect very much.
It also didn't like Clark very much. All right, what did people do? Crest. Ooh.
I like that one. I like crest a lot. Uh crisp, stick, cling, trice. Some people thought of trice. Crust.
Cl- I'm not the only one who did clerk.
Clint, slice, and price.
They would have gone price.
Specter gave an 83. Was guaranteed to eliminate every word but one, but despite being a valid guess, it isn't a likely solution. So, I didn't like that.
But, it did it did guarantee a win, which is which is fun. All right.
But, so would have uh one of the answers. That's why it's not a high score.
All right. Clasp, trice, mints, niece.
It goes with the trice route. All right.
Point two started with niece. 2.7, 26.5, 74.9, 96.2 on turn five, greater than 99. Yeah. It's not like trappy that you're going to lose on. It's just hard to think of. So, it might take a little longer.
Um upload the screenshot.
And on hard mode.
What are people starting with?
Similar things. Crast, crisp, cling, pluck, stick. Pluck is interesting.
Clerk, I'm not the only one who did clerk.
Who So, it looks like cling had the best average solve steps to solve.
Um clerk did pretty well today, but not There's a few ahead of it. Click is ahead of it. Tro- trice is ahead of it.
Interesting.
All right.
Um again, didn't like spect because it's not an answer.
Slate, groin, wince, niece. All right.
Does a filler.
Point four for niece.
2.8, 22.4, 64.6, 91.2, 98.3. Wow. I was expecting 99. People losing on niche.
Nieve, wince, mints. Okay.
Cool. Well, how did you do?
