[00:00:00]Today's case, she was working from home on a Zoom call when she got up, tripped over her dog, and broke her wrist. Now she's filing for worker's comp. The company says she wasn't in office, that's not on us. But she says, "I was on the clock doing my job. The location shouldn't matter." So here's the question, can you get worker's comp for tripping over your dog at home? Let's talk about it. Remote workers can qualify for worker's comp, but the injury has to be in the course and scope of employment. So if she was grabbing coffee, maybe not. But if she was getting up to grab a file or adjust her camera, maybe yes. And the fact that the hazard was her dog doesn't necessarily matter. If the job calls for to move, so what do you think?
