Sikkema offers a sharp analysis of the trade-off between draft capital and veteran impact, though the scenario leans more toward theoretical optimization than realistic market dynamics. It is a sophisticated look at roster construction that highlights the tension between immediate needs and long-term asset management.

NEW TOP 10 MOCK DRAFT (Dexter Lawrence Trade)Added:
You going to trade up for love?
>> Minnesota.
>> Oh, >> is this something that might interest you?
>> Yes.
>> How about 49 and 97?
>> That's too much.
>> For Jeremiah Love, who gives a crap about pick 97? You pick 82.
>> I would do like 82 and 97.
>> Oh, no. The Bengals cannot accept that.
>> They should just take him.
>> Take him.
>> All right, fine. Take 49. I don't care.
Don't listen to him. He can't get 97 as well.
>> You almost snuck You almost snuck 97 in there. Give him 196. Give a 100 picks later and 97. You know, while we're here, LET'S JUST PUT 97 back on the table. Why don't we put 97 back on the table?
>> My picks back and the returner. What's yelling about? Just >> that would be me and the worm. I'd mute the Browns GM and be like, "What is yelling at?" Oh, he's yelling about.
What's going on everybody? Welcome to the opening bell of a very spontaneous special and emergency episode of the NFL Stock Exchange Show. I'm Trevor Sikma.
No Connor Rogers for this one because I mean we just had to get right to it. And Connor, like we said for the Friday episode, he's handling early fatherhood there this weekend. But folks, Dexter Lawrence just got traded straight up for the number 10 overall pick. So, you know that we had to get to it for some new mock drafts. Here on this show, we're going to go through a new top 10. We're going to kind of go through some things that we learned outside of the Bengals and the Giants, but mainly focusing on a new top 10 involving the Giants and the Bengals. We're going to go through a couple of Giants three round mock drafts as well because I'm very curious myself to go through the game plan of okay, what might the best draft look like for the Giants now that they have two selections in the top 10. And then we're going to go through some three rounds for the Bengals as well because even though they don't have number 10, we go, okay, essentially they're using that number 10 overall pick on Dexter Lawrence. So, how does that affect their other drafts as well? Man, right off the bat, I'm floored that this happened. I I I am floored that the Bengals and now Dexter Lawrence is the perfect player for their defensive line. They really needed a guy like Dexter Lawrence who has been one of the best pass rushers from a nose tackle perspective. Uh he's a great run defender as well. I know he didn't have the best year last year, but man, when this guy is at his best, he is one of the best defensive tackles in the NFL. No question about it. He affects both phases of the game in the pass game and the run game. He's a three- down lineman type of a player. He can do so many different things for you. He is what the Bengals need, but man, number 10 overall, I did not think that he was going to get anything close to number 10 overall when it came to value. Now, if you want to tell yourself that Dexter Lawrence is worth the number 10 overall pick, that I can understand. And I think the Bengals deciding that they would rather trade number 10 straight up because when Adam Shaper tweeted out that this was happening and I saw that the number 10 overall pick was involved, I went, "Okay, okay, okay.
It's number 10 and then they're getting something back, right?" Like they're getting a day two pick from the Giants.
They're getting something back here.
It's Dexter Lawrence for 10 straight up, which is kind of bonkers when you think about the fact that the whole reason why we're here is because Dexter Lawrence wants to be paid like one of the highest, if not the highest defensive tackle in the NFL. So, the Bengals, which are a team that doesn't always want to open up the checkbook to pay good players, they're not only trading number 10 high draft value, they're also using capital on this player as well. I just I did not see the Bengals as the organization to do this. Even though now that you get to put Dexter Lawrence on that depth chart, it looks pretty good.
But how we got here, I think there's definitely a conversation as to whether or not they overpaid. Now, I think a good part of that conversation goes into the fact that the Bengals probably did a lot of research on who was potentially going to be there at number 10, and they might not have been happy. I mean, we've talked to you guys before about how there's going to be a lot of teams in the NFL this year that might not have 15, might not have 12. Maybe they don't even have 10 first round picks in this class. Now, I think if you don't have 10, that's being a little harsh, even for it being a down year. But the Bengals clearly were not going to be happy with who was going to be left available for them realistically at number 10, which I think is very interesting given the fact that I think you could do a lot of mock drafts out there with Ruben Bane potentially lasting to number 10 overall. We're going to run through a brand new top 10 mockdraft here in a second, but I think all of this is very, very interesting.
And I think there's a reason why earlier in the draft calendar, Peter Woods, Caleb Banks, these guys were potential picks at number 10 overall for the Bengals cuz we've recognized that this is such a need for them. And we've then since talked about how both of those guys and the rest of the defensive class as a whole not really worth a top 10 overall pick this year. I I said on the uh most recent blue chip committee episode that's actually going to come out on Monday that I think there's a world where zero defensive tackles end up going in the first round of this draft. I don't know if that's most likely, but again, that's the kind of conversation that we're having here. So, from the Bengals side of things, they get a player that they desperately need that truly enhances everything else they have going on on the defensive line.
Shear Stewart, Chris Jenkins Jr., Jonathan Allen who they brought in. Boy Maf who they brought in. Miles Murphy as well. The Dexter Lawrence edition raises the potential of all of those players.
But man, it was a pretty penny to go and get him with not only number 10 overall, but also now having to give him a new contract. Of course, pending the physical, uh, which we do have to say given the fact that the Max Crosby trade fell through uh, just a month ago. On the Giant side of things, man, this is extremely exciting, especially for the fact that, let's face it, I know that Joe Shane is still there, so it's not an entirely new regime, but John Arbaugh, I think, is calling a lot of the shots and what's going on now. It's a collaborative thing, but for all intents and purposes, it's a new regime with the Giants. And you're in a situation now where you have two top 10 overall picks.
And you know, specifically, there are a couple of players that we're going to get to here within this top 10 that I want to go over. So, incredible move by the Giants for getting a pick as high as number 10 overall. I mean, the Giants had so little leverage here outside of the fact that they had a good player.
You're talking about a good player who all of the news that has come out of New York over the last couple of days, a week has been these two sides are done.
They're not even close. Lawrence is going to hold out if he has to. Like this there Dexter Lawrence, it's really sounded like they didn't say these in plain English, but like really sounded like he was never going to play for the New York Giants again. And when you have that sort of leverage against you, even when you have a really good player, man, it can be tough to get a good value for what you think the player is worth overall for how talented they are. But salute to the Giants for being able to wait it out a little bit here and get that number 10 overall pick from the Cincinnati Bengals. Um, I think the Bengals, there's a world where you could look at it that this as an overpay, but again, this is the type of player that they needed, and you're not getting a Dexter Lawrence type of a player anywhere in this draft, including at number 10 overall. But man, major move by the Giants to really set up an interesting top 10. So, let's dig into it. I mean, I mean, let's get into a brand new top 10 that we have here. We won't just go right down to where the Giants are picking at five and 10. I want to go through a brand new top 10 here. Before we do that, I know a lot of people are going to be watching NFL show for the first time cuz we're going live with some breaking news. Subscribe to the show. We're trying to get 75K subs by the time we get through the draft and we would love for you guys to hang out with us and be a part of the addicts. We do things like this where we can do spontaneous mock drafts all the time. We got the final big board coming up on Monday. We got the final mock draft, the full first round that's going on. We'll have all the recaps. Everything that you're going to need to cover this entire NFL draft, we got for you here.
So, if you're not subscribed, we would love for you to be subscribed to the show. Let's get into it, though. Top 10.
New top 10. Obviously, at number one overall, this isn't this isn't changing here. Fernando Mendoza at number one overall. That's that's no different. So, we don't have to spend any time really on that one.
I continue to think that it's going to be Arville Ree. I continue to think that it's going to be Arville Ree here at number two. I know a lot of insiders are saying David Bailey, David Bailey, I'm I'm just I'm not convinced. Let's go with our Bill Reese here at number two.
Now, I will say about the Arizona Cardinals, there is a lot of smoke right now with them trading down. And the team that I specifically hear a lot, or at least have over the last 24 hours, has been the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs trading up to number three overall.
I don't want I don't know if I want to I I don't know if I want to do this here because I don't I don't know exactly what it looks like. I think I want to explore a Cardinals trade and maybe spend some more significant time on this if these rumors start to get a little bit stronger. But it sure sounds like the Kansas City Chiefs are getting aggressive and we have talked a lot about Arizona wanting to be a team to trade down. With them not trading down though, let's go with an offensive lineman. I think the whole reason why they want to trade down is because they want to add an offensive lineman. They just don't want to have to at number three. Let's go with Francis Mauinoa here at number three. He's been the most common mock draft pick for them.
Although, like I said, I maybe we'll do this tomorrow. Maybe we'll do this a little bit later in the week, but we can explore what a more aggressive Cardinals tradeown looks like. Tom Pelisero said that the ceiling for Sunny Styles starts at number four.
I'm gonna still have Jeremiah Love go at number four here because I want to set up what is the conversation at number three for the New York Giants.
So, Pelisero talked about Oh. Oh, I I was like, what is the chef cooking here? What is what I was like, what what is the chef getting into here?
because I forgot that we were doing this so quick after the news that we have to get Dexter Lawrence actually over so we could get the Giants picking at number 10. So that's what the chef was doing there. So Tom Pelisero said that the Giants have been talking about Sunny Styles, Caleb DS, and then the conversation between Jordan Tyson and Carnell Tate. That seems to be the conversations that have been happening behind closed doors with the New York Giants at number five overall. I will also mention that Mike Gerafolo said that Joe Shane himself traveled to Jordan Tyson's private workout that he had for NFL teams, individual workout, private workout, whatever word you want to use to describe that there. And they went to dinner the night before.
Little wine and dine in there, little free steak. You know how we feel about that. You know, taking these prospects out to dinner, you the top 30 visits.
It's free steak, folks. We always support free steak. Free steak meal.
Free steak dinner. Sounds like that's what Jordan Tyson got.
Hopefully, it was some good steak because, you know, you want to fuel the workout the next day. But that all that to say, Joe Shane showing a lot of interest in Jordan Tyson.
I'm gonna say no to no to Tyson here at five.
And I'm gonna say Caleb DS here at number five. I'm going to go with Caleb DS here for the Giants. Now, we're going to do a couple of different three round mock drafts here for the New York Giants after this show, but I'll say that DS goes number five to the Giants because I feel in my heart that's sort of where we're at right now.
Cleveland at number six. Let's have Carnell Tate go off the board at number six.
Let's have probably Sony David Bailey still here. Yeah, let's have David Bailey go at seven because it just feels like he's going to go higher than where I have him ranked on my board. So, I feel like that's fair. Um, let's go Ruben Bane at eight.
Now, who are the Chiefs trying to trade up for at three, man?
They want David Bailey. They want Arville Ree.
Maybe they don't think Caleb DS will get to him.
You guys are saying Bane I I I I think Bane's a perfect fit for what CS Mag Spagnola wants to do. Maybe it is for Ruben Bane, but do they but but do they think they have to move up to three for Bane?
Because when all the David B when all the Ruben Bane news was kind of coming out about his his um past reckless driving incidents, it felt like a lot of like insider people were like, "No, no, no. This isn't going to affect uh Bane's status or his draft stock." And which still feels like, you know, late top 10, maybe just outside of the top 10. So, I think that Bane's a fit. I agree with everybody in the chat, but I would be surprised if they think they have to go to three. I think the way that this shakes out is if they believe that David Bailey is going to go number two overall. I could absolutely see a world where the Chiefs go, "Please let us go get Arville Ree."
because the strength that he plays with as well is very much something that I think Steve Spagnolo would love as defensive coordinator. So, I think that it would be Reese. Some people are saying Jeremiah Love as well. I cannot imagine the Kansas City Chiefs draft Jeremiah Love at all now that they have Kenneth Walker, but um certainly not going to trade up for him. I I could not see that.
So, now we're now we've got the Chiefs on at nine.
I don't think they draft Styles, would they?
I haven't thought of this for them.
They got Drew Tranquil and they got Nick Bolton.
I don't know if they would draft Styles because I think Tyson's on the board as well.
Let's go Jordan Tyson here. I'm going to go Jordan Tyson here. And then with Sony Styles also being available at number 10, I'm I'm going to go Sony Styles here for the New York Giants.
Yeah, somebody said this is the worst case scenario for KC. I don't know if it's the worst case scenario because you still have Mansor Delane and you still have Jordan Tyson on the board. So, I don't think it's worst case scenario. I think the Chiefs are in a really good spot. I do.
I think that they're going to have some good options at number nine, which is also sort of why I was a little bit shocked that they that that the word is that they're as aggressive as it seems like they are to maybe move up for number three. But I I got to think that they're locked into Arville Ree. They're not just going to trade up to number three for anybody. But if the the second that the Jets pick David Bailey, if they pick David Bailey, then I think that they're going to try to already have a deal done with the Cardinals to say, "Boom, get it through. Make it happen.
Get us on the clock. We're taking Arville Ree." So there we go. That is that is an updated top 10 that we have here post Dexter Lawrence trade. We've got uh Fernando Mendoza at number one.
Arville Ree. I have Arville Reese going number two. Francis Maui Noah to the Cardinals at three which if they trade down to nine, that's sort of the player that I think they're going to target at nine if this Chiefs trade manifests itself. Jeremiah Love at number four to the Titans. Caleb DS for the first pick for the New York Giants at number five.
Carnell Tate to the Cleveland Browns at six. David Bailey going to the Washington Commanders at seven. Ruben Bane to the Saints at eight. Jordan Tyson going to the Kansas City Chiefs at nine, which it feels like he is becoming um minus money to be a top 10 overall pick now. And then the Giants second first round pick that they have there in the top 10 because they traded Dexter Lawrence away, Sony Styles. So, it's two elite defensive players there. Anthony is in the chat saying Coleman thinks it's Vega Yawan at number 10. I think it could potentially be it's you know what I think that's a very good segue. I think that's a great segue into let's get into some what does it look like here for the New York Giants. Let's restart this. Let's just pick the New York Giants here. Let's do a three round mock for them. So, apologies Tyler because you're going to have to trade Dexter Lawrence every time we restart one of these. So, before before you hit start, well, I guess it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter cuz we're going to five anyways. Let's trade Dexter Lawrence. Let's run a couple of different scenarios here where we're looking at what the Giants could possibly do now that they have pick five and pick 10.
So, let's see who went who went first.
Can you scroll up a little bit? Okay.
Fernando Mendoza, Sony Styles, Carl Tate, Arbell Reese.
What? The Rams.
Ram the Rams straight up to three to get Carell Tate. Incredible.
This is kind of entertainment that you ask for here doing these mock drafts.
So, I just had a mock draft scenario where the Giants took Caleb DS at five and then Sony Styles at number 10. With Sony Styles off the board, I can't replicate that. But let's go with Caleb DS again and then see what's available at number 10.
So Jordan Tyson is here. So let's do this one because Tom Pelisero talked about how the Giants and he was talking about this before the Dexter Lawrence trade before they got an extra top 10 pick. Tom Pelisero from NFL Network or is he or is he with ESPN now? Which one do I say? NFL Network ESPN? I can't keep up. Anyways, he said the conversation with the Giants is heavily around Caleb DS, Sunonny Styles, and then Tate or Tyson. And that was again when they only had number five overall. So let's give them two of those players here. Let's give them Caleb DS. Let's give them Jordan Tyson. And let's see what the rest of this mockdraft could possibly look like.
So now they're picking at 37.
And when I'm I'm looking at the Giants depth chart, they did sign TED Edmonds. So I don't think it's like, hey, they're going to draft a linebacker no matter what. You know, CJ Allen's off the board here. I think we'd have the chance to draft Jacob Rodriguez. Maybe you could think of that. But instead, I look at offensive line and Chase Bantis is available here.
But Peter in the chat and and Simon in the chat also saying of course they need a defensive tackle now. And I think that Christian Miller is a perfect player for them to take. Now, can I see can I see the um command center? What other pick do they have?
Where is it in this draft?
Um where was it?
I cannot remember which which button it is. Oh, is it is it the little button that's above where edge is on the far right side, Tyler?
No, that's not it.
Hold on. I could I could just look this up.
Wonderful podcasting. I know folks, this is why you tune in. Okay, they they do not Okay. Yeah, they don't they don't have a third round pick. They only have pick 105. So, this is the last pick that we actually have for them.
Man, I wish they had a third round pick.
You know what? We're going to explore a scenario where they potentially have a third round pick. Uh, give me Christian Miller here because they do need a defensive tackle and I'd get really worried about this team which currently has on their depth chart without Dexter Lawrence, Sam Roberts, Roy Robertson Harris, uh, Darius Alexander and Elijah Chapman.
They also have Marlon Tui below too as well. That's their def defensive interior right now without Dexter Lawrence.
I think this is an excellent hall here.
I think that you you got differencem making players everywhere. Now, Drew in the chat obviously is pointing out no offensive line. That is true. So, let's do another mock draft. Let's do another one here. I want to I want to explore a couple of different scenarios. So, we had in I'm I'm going to write this down because I want to remember the halls that we have here.
So, we went downs, Tyson, and then Miller. That was our first haul that we had there. Now, we're going to do another one. So, Tyler, while you're setting this up and you're doing the Dexter Lawrence trade to get in for number 10, I see a lot of people have joined since the last time we said this, but if you're new, because we're covering some breaking news here, we would love for you to be subscribed to the show. Come join the addicts.
Subscribe to NFL Stock Exchange. We do stuff like this all the time. On Monday, we're re revealing our full big boards.

So, if you're not subscribed, we would love for you to be subscribed to uh to make sure that you could hang out with us every single time that we go live and we get to do videos like this with you guys.
All right, so we got the trade in.
So, this time Oh, okay. See, this is why we do this, folks. This is why we do this. Sunonny Styles and Caleb Downs off the board.
Do you take Tater Tyson here at five?
That's what I'm leaning.
People are saying trade down. I I I will do a trade down scenario. I don't I don't want to quite do one yet.
I either either Tate or Tyson here.
Let's go Tyson. Let's let's still go Tyson because I do think that Tyson's got some steam to be the first wide receiver drafted. And I think that if if the health checks out for Jordan Tyson, I think that the teams in which he does check that box, they will have him wide receiver one in this class. So, Jordan Tyson there. And then at number 10, let's go O line. So Francis Malinoa is still on the board. Vega Yawan is still on the board.
Very tempting.
Who is chat? It's between one of those two players, Francis Mauinoa and Vega Yane.
The pros and cons. I think guard is the more immediate need for the New York Giants. Veggie already plays guard.
There's no projection that has to that has to happen there. I think he's excellent in the downhill run game that it feels like the Giants want to run.
He's great in pass protection as well.
Maui Noah can play guard. I think he's got the body type to be able to play guard, but he's played right tackle for the Miami Hurricanes over the last three years. So, there is that flex out to tackle for winerma who only signed a two-year deal. Although, I think it's a good deal and I think that, you know, it's good that you have him this year.
Man, I think the chat is very very split here on both of these guys.
I'm gonna go with Vega Yane. Let's go with I'm gonna go Vega Yane here because there's not that projection. You get a guard that you feel great about and I think that that really really really boosts that interior. Now again, I think Maui Noah could play guard. So anybody in the chat who's saying veha, okay, you could just sub him in right here. And now at 37, Christian Miller is still here.
It's It's tempting to not go that direction again, right guys? I mean, CJ Allen is also here. So again, if you if you think linebacker next to Tmaine Edmonds and that true Mike is a major need, you could you could take CJ Allen.
But I just I think Miller's still the better pick.
Although, can I see defensive? Can you just click defensive line?
Because I think there's a world where, you know, you could get Chris Mlen, you know, you could get Ray Sean Benny, like you can get Tim Keenan potentially, right? I mean, like on day three, somebody's saying they have no corners left. I I hope you don't mean the Giants. I mean, the Giants have a Adbo, they have Drew Phillips, they have Deontay Banks, they signed Greg Newsome.
I think it I was hope I'm hoping that person means like whoever was on the board.
I I'm not saying that like corner is not a need for the Giants.
Are they going to play enough zone for Chris Johnson? I think that's the question. I think D'Angelo Pawns wouldn't be terrible here either.
Is Jacob Rodriguez still available at linebacker?
CCJ Allen.
Uh JRod is there.
So, I think the Christian Miller makes sense here, but let's let's be a little bit different. Let's go Jacob Rodriguez.
Let's get the linebacker. And again, we're just we're kind of seeing how this looks for the Giants.
So that's it. Tyson goes five. Um, we had Yane go 10 and then J-Rod. All right. So, let's do one more here for the Giants.
Let's do one more. And And I'm going to trade back from 10. I'm going to trade back from 10 because I'm going to try to get a third round pick out of it because I would love to stagger it to have two first round picks. They don't have to be top 10 picks, but you got two first round picks. You have that 37 pick, and then let's get a pick in the third round as well. Let's see what we get.
We'll run some Bengals mocks after this, but I think the Giants, of course, is is the the big one with them having uh two top 10 picks now.
Okay, so in this mock, David Bailey is gone, Sony Styles is gone, Arville Reese is gone, Fernando Mendoza is gone. I think this is very realistic.
I still want Caleb DS at five. I think we should still do Caleb Downs at five here. And then let's trade down from 10. So, let's hit the trade button. Let's see what we got here. Okay, so Houston gets 10, Indie gets 10, New Orleans gets 10.
Obviously, um the Giants get 42. Oh, wow. Oh, that's a These are far jumps. Obviously, India doesn't have a first round pick. New Orleans already spent their first round pick. Is there anything that we could cook up here with somebody trading up?
Like, who's on the board? Can I see Can I see who's on the board really quick, Tyler?
So, we got Maui Noah, we've got Spano, Jordan Tyson still on the board.
Who could trade?
Who could trade something?
Pittsburgh's interesting because Pittsburgh has three third round picks.
Okay, let's do this. Let's trade with Pittsburgh because Pittsburgh then has the opportunity to draft I believe uh either Yawwan or Francis Malinoa who's on the board or Spencer Fono even. So let's go 10 421 and does 76 get us there.
This is fair value.
Let's do it. Let's do this trade. I could see I could see this being the case. this the Steelers have three third round picks. So, I think there's a world where they could go up and get get a player that they want. They drafted him Kai Lemon, but I think they could move up for an offensive lineman, whatever it is. So, the Giants, they traded back. We got that extra third round pick. We're sitting here at 21. So, he took Caleb DS at five.
Let's see.
I mean, you could take wide receiver if you wanted to here.
Man, you could take Proctor and he could play guard for you. He gives you the tackle guard flexibility I think that Maui Noah does. Now, I like Maui Noah more at tackle and I like Kaden Proctor as more of a guard.
Somebody's saying Kaden McDonald.
No, Peter Woods. This is too early for me for Peter Woods. I'm I'm realistically thinking about Omar Cooper Jr.
like Casey Conpsion.
Oh, did Conpion already picked?
WHOA, JETS. COME ON. COME ON. 16.
Trying to do a mock draft over here.
Um, I might go Omar Cooper Jr.
Yeah, let's do it. Let's do it. Let's go. Let's let's go Omar Cooper Jr. here because then at 37 I could take Chase Pantis is here. Folks, folks, folks, we go Chase Bantis and then we go defensive tackle.
Yeah, give me Chase Bantes, who I think is a I think Chase Bantes is a borderline first round guard anyways.
And now we traded down to 76. So we got 76. Now tell me who's left at defensive tackle.
YOU LOVE WHEN A PLAN COMES TOGETHER.
YOU LOVE WHEN A PLAN COMES TOGETHER, BABY.
Big Citrus, get on the goddamn team.
Sorry, I'm hyped.
Okay. So, trading down here.
So, trading down, we went downs, Cooper Jr., Bantis, and Big Citrus.
Okay, folks.
So, he said, "Halt. I have to get bullied by Sam Cosby." Hey, hey, hey.
We'll take the big citrus slander. Not here. Not around these parts.
Um, okay. So, the three options that we had for these three Giants three round mock drafts that we did. The first one I would I would actually Tyler, can we do a poll? Can we can we set up a poll here? I'll read off the I'll read off the results. Like the first one is uh Caleb DS, Jordan Tyson, and then Christian Miller. Then we didn't have any other picks in the top 100. The second option was Jordan Tyson, Vega Aane, Jacob Rodriguez.
And then the third one was a tradeback and we went Caleb DS, Omar Cooper Jr., Chase Basantis, and Big Citrus. Very curious. You guys like Hall one, two, or three the most for the New York Giants?
Let us know. Love to hear from the people.
>> All right. The chef has uh gotten in my ear and said, "Houston, we have started the poll in the YouTube."
Oh, I actually have to pull up the YouTube to see the results of it. I need to pull that one up. We got We got 2500 people watching this bad boy. You guys are awesome. We might have to do more of this spontaneous stuff more often. Uh oh. Okay, I have to I have to vote.
Okay, so again, hall one, hall two, and hall three. Hall number one, Caleb DS, Jordan Tyson, Christian Miller. Hall number two, Jordan Tyson, Veggie Gowane, Jacob Rodriguez. Hall number three, Trey Down, and it was Caleb DS, Omar Cooper Jr., Chase Bantis, and Big Citrus.
I don't know which one I like the best.
I think I actually like the first one the best. Not that I want to, you know, manipulate anybody's. It's just Wow, people are saying Hall three is their favorite. Got Hall three at 52%. Hall number one at 33 and then hall two at 16%.
By the way, if you're sitting around, why don't you smash like on that video?
If you've already voted and we're just, you know, kind of waiting to see what the rest of the results are, you haven't smashed like on the video, we would love for you to. We'd appreciate you. All right, I'm going wait till we got uh what, 300 votes and I'll see what it is, man. Hall one. Catch you back up.
All right, 300 votes in. Hall number three, we got 48%. Hall number one at 36%, then hall number two at 16. There we go, folks. Those are three different looks at what a three round mock draft could look like for the New York Giants now that they have the number five and the number 10 overall selection after the Dexter Lawrence trade. Let's do some Bengals mock drafts. Throw through a couple of Bengals mock drafts that we have here. I know it's not as exciting, but we love Bengals fans around here. So, I want to help them out. And again, like, okay, now that we got Dexter Lawrence, now that we allocated that top 10 pick to the defensive line, that defensive tackle spot, what is the rest of a mock draft like? What could that look like?
What could a three- round hall look like? Because the Bengals, let's see, what are the other selections that they have? They have Oh, so they have 41 and then they have 72. So, they got their own second and third round picks. So, it's just going to be two picks here.
Let's see what we got.
Oh, we're waiting a while.
I forgot. I forgot. We got We got to wait a while here before we get to 41 for the Bengals.
Um, man, what what are their biggest needs now?
They address defensive tackle.
Let's see. Switch up the depth chart here.
Linebacker still a big need. No question about it. They got the opportunity to draft Jacob Rodriguez. I think uh I think we might go that direction here in this first rendition of this mock draft. It could go safety, but I think that's more of a spot where, you know, at 10, if Caleb DS was there, that was more of a you can't pass the talent more than a hey, they really need a safety. I think Turner and Hill can play outside corner for you. So, I don't think that that's too big of a need. Maybe a nickel corner, but you're probably not thinking about that until you get to 72.
You could potentially go interior offensive line, but I don't know if they would.
Tight end. I think I think tight end somebody said in the somebody said in the the chat that their their DBs are garbage. I don't think they're garbage, especially just signing Brian Cook. I think Jordan Battle's okay as a strong safety. I think Dax Hill and DJ Turner have talent as outside corners.
Okay, let's see who's available for us at 41 here.
Ah, D'Angelo Pawns, that's a good one.
Chase Bantis, that's a good one.
Emanuel Pregnon is still here as well.
And JRod is there. Yeah, boy.
Oh, boy. I think uh we might be taking Jacob Rodriguez here, folks.
Yeah, let's go Jacob Rodriguez here for this first one. We're going to do a couple of of of Bengals mock trades, but I think we at least have to do one where Jacob Rodriguez is a selection for them here at number 41. And then you kind of see how the board's going to play to you at 71.
I think there's I think there could be some interior offensive line options for them here at 71. Maybe I'm wrong though.
Maybe I don't I don't see any that are sitting there. Or 72, excuse me.
Man, I like Jaylen Farmer.
I like Tay Zoo as well. I wonder if Tay Zun's range starts about here. Like Zoo, I think, could play center and guard for you. I I think I think he's closer to this type of range than where the Bengals would be picking next, which is 110. Like I I don't think Trezone I don't think he gets to to 110.
And I wonder if his versatility maybe makes him the best.
Let's see corner. Can I see corner?
Nobody that you'd really play in the slot here. Can I see safety?
Oh, interesting. Okay. Um, Genesis Smith is there.
Zaki Wheatley is there. No, like these guys are true safeties. are not the nickel types.
I think I might go tun honestly.
Oh, Kilgore is I think I think Kilgore could make sense unless he got drafted already. Man, how far down is he?
Ah, Trading Stukes would be so perfect for this team. I was really hoping that Keonte Scott or Traden Stuks would be there for him. I like the I like the slot upgrade.
Kilgore is there. Do you have to pick him there? I'm not so sure.
72 I think is early for him. Kamari Ramsay is actually interesting, but I didn't like how he played in the slot. I like him much more as a as a safety as like a true safety. I wouldn't pick wide receiver. All right. Can we scroll down a little bit just from best player available? Somebody in the chat says Keonte Scott. Yeah, Kante Scott went already sadly.
Skyler Bell kind of interesting if wide receiver is is on your radar.
Maybe I would go with I don't I kind of want safety to be my like 110 pick.
Oscar Delp I guess could be Yeah. Can I see tight end? Actually, it is Delp. Del's the next one that's on here.
I wonder if this is more Roush range than it is Oscar Delp range.
I think corner is the best value that they have right now. I just I didn't think outside corner was that big of an issue for them.
Maybe that's just a better Maybe that's just a better value though. Let's go to corner. Yeah, let's let's do corner because I think I' I'd rather take like Julian Neil here with the athleticism.
David Ignosen if you you sort of like believe in in him not being a penalty machine like he was two years ago. He was better this past year. But yeah, let's go Julian Neil. Let's go Julian here. Let's go outside corner. I I think they can move so many in the chat say this as well. I think they can move um Dax Hill back into the slot if they wanted to. So that does make the best cornerback room in my opinion. So, okay. So, we went Jacob Rodriguez uh at number 41 and then we went Julian Neil. So, that's a one-two combination.
Then obviously you have Dexter Lawrence.
You're adding Dexter Lawrence there as well. So, an alldefensive draft there for the Cincinnati Bengals. Let's do another one. Let's do two more.
By the way, if you guys are watching this and you're not subscribed to the show, we would love for you to be on the journey, the pilgrimage, the campaign to 75,000 subscribers by the time the draft is over. We would love for you to just be part of the addicts. We do a lot of fun shows like this, a lot more. You know, we do full round mock drafts, player rankings, the final big board episodes coming out on Monday. We got the final mock drafts coming out on Wednesday.
It's great stuff, man. Make sure you're subscribed. If you're not, just check just check. Yeah, just check. Just check for me. Check and see if you are. And if you're not, why don't you smash that button? Come hang out with us more.
All right. So, here at 41, you don't need Zion Young. You don't need Christian Miller.
Malai Lawrence is interesting. Funny enough, I I think Malachi Lawrence's um comp in in my scouting sheets was Boy Maf. And they already have Boy Maf.
He could go Jake Gold. AJ Halls is here, folks.
It's Guji.
Somebody's saying the Ponds will take over a corner job before week one. Wow.
We might have to draft uh D'Angelo Ponds in the the last mock that we're doing here. So, okay. I I went safety that time. And now I kind of want to look at tight end.
See, I probably do Sam Rous here. But what's can I see linebacker?
We just go to the Yeah. Yeah. The the Okay, so Kyle Lewis is there.
This is the tough part. If you don't go linebacker at 41, then you're really not drafting one that you can realistically say is going to start for you.
Okay, let's go Sam Rous. Yeah, let's go.
Let's go. Let's go Sam Rous here.
So, in this one we went AJ Holly and Sam Rous. And the last one we went Jacob Rodriguez and who did we pick?
It was Rodriguez and it was a corner. Julian Neil. It was Julian Neil. It was Julian. Pier, don't yell at me. I know. I have the memory of a goldfish. You guys already know this.
All right, last one. Let's do one more and let's go corner. Let's go outside corner at uh at 41 instead and and and see what we have beyond that.
I see Nate Nate's saying this in the chat. He's saying it's linebacker second round. So, I'm I'm doing this to be different. Like I'm trying to explore the different scenarios because I think you are right. Like I think you got to go linebacker at 41 or things start to get kind of bleak for you. And I think that we're seeing that. So we've already done a mock where we have linebacker at 41. So we have that under our belt.
Let's go D'Angelo Ponds here, the corner from Indiana. So we just go, okay, that's our corner. And then who would we take at 72 now?
And there's just there's there's just not a there's just not a good linebacker. Can we scroll a little bit just slowly? I mean, Elijah Serat is there. Kon Crawford is there. Malachi Fields is there. Genesis Smith, Ted Hurst, Mike Washington, Jan Barnum, Skyler Bell. I kind of don't hate Skyler Bell just for the third receiver. But are you drafting that now that you don't you have less picks to go off of? Probably not.
Yeah, I just there's just not a lot of good linebacker options.
Oscar Delp maybe if you believe that Oscar Del's a tight end one for you, but I he wasn't even tight end one at Georgia. I can understand thinking that he's going to be a better pro than a college player, but that's tough for me.
I don't I don't know if I can I don't know if I can sign off on that.
Let me look at um I'm looking at their 2027 pending free agents really quickly.
So Ted Carris is a free agent. Daltton Risner will be a free agent as well. Um Dylan Fairchild obviously won't. He's on a rookie contract. But actually, okay, just just give me give me Tzoon here. I'll just take Trayon if he's available. He's got to be available, right?
God, I would I would have loved Traden Stukes, but he just never gets there at 72, which he's not going to get there in real life. So, kind of tough there.
Yeah, let's go Trey Zone. Trey Zun, I saw somebody in the chat also saying Brian Parker. I think that could potentially be an option. I think Zun's just a really, really good versatile offensive lineman. I think he started center in the NFL. I think he start at guard and especially with Ted Carris and Daltton Risner free agents next year.
You know, you're hoping that Dylan Fairchild gets even better, but you're sort of like getting ahead of that offensive line need. So, this is tough obviously because you don't have a linebacker, but you maybe could pick a linebacker that you feel good about at 110, but I think this was a really good exercise for the Bengals to say, "Okay, we've got Dexter Lawrence in hand." 41 feels like if it's not linebacker, you're going into next season with Barrett Carter and uh Demetrius Stein as your starting linebackers again. Unless there's a veteran linebacker who's out there who you might be able to sign who you feel better about. But I think that that's the best way to do it is you're going linebacker at 41. And then I like tight end at 72. I like that option. I like the Trezone option as well. Maybe if there's a corner if you think the corner is a bigger need there. But um some somebody said like Daltton Riser was good for us. No, no, no. I understand that he's just a free agent coming up. So, I'm not trying to say like Daltton Ryzen was bad. The offensive line wasn't as bad as it's been in in years past for the Bengals, but you're just trying to think of like, hey, are we getting ahead of needs? Is the board falling the right way for us?
So, there we go. All right. We explored a lot of different things here on this show. Uh, I appreciate everybody uh logging on for this emergency episode that we had here. I see that we've got 20 super chats, so I'm going to get to those in the after the episode portion, which I'll get to in a second. But like I said, if you're not subscribed to the program, we would love for you to be come hang out with us every single time that we go live. We have fun on all these episodes. So, we gave you guys a top 10. We gave you a couple of different scenarios for the Giants. And we gave you a couple of different scenarios for the Bengals. Now that Dexter Lawrence is officially asterisk pending the physical that's upcoming, a member of the Cincinnati Bengals. Stick around if you're watching live. I'll read the super chats afterwards, but if you're not, see you guys. Thanks so much for tuning in.
