This DIABOLICAL Harem Anime Somehow Got WORSE...Added:
Diabolic Lovers Season 2. What happens when you take a reverse Harm anime about a poor young girl being thrown in the midst of a pack of very thirsty vampires who treat her pretty much like a human juice box to get some of that sweet sweet blood from some very violating places in very violating ways and give that show a sequel pumped even more chalk full of really uncomfortable SA coded blood sucking scenes. more vampire brothers with semi-interesting backstories where they really try to make sympathetic but honestly fail at and actual interesting plot points that end up going right into the abyss in between my ash cheeks. That's right, you get Diabolic Lovers season 2. If you haven't seen my video on the first season of Diabolic Lovers, I'll link it in the description as well as the card on the top right of the video so you can go check it out first. So, Diabolic Lovers is a reverse harm anime based off of a visual novel series of the same name. Diabolic Lovers season 1 was based off of the first game in the series. And now this season is based off of the second game in the series called Diabolic Lovers: More Blood with a comma in between the words more and blood like it's supposed to have any goddamn deeper meaning to this stupid ass blood suckling [ __ ] Okay. Okay. I know it's too early in the video to crash out, but h The abolic lover season 2 aired in the year 2015, and it continues the story of the poor main protagonist, Yui Kumoi, who in season 1 was unknowingly sent to live with a group of vampire brothers who turned her life into a living hell by constantly harassing her and sucking her blood and very violating super essay coded scenes that's technically just sucking her blood, but still very uncomfortable to watch nonetheless. And this [ __ ] happens in basically every episode. UI begins season 2 still trapped and without any consent in the Sakamaki brothers household until a new group of vampire brothers takes Yui as their own in order to complete some kind of mysterious plan for their master. And with even more unknown forces in the background, Yui and the Vampire Brothers are unknowingly dragged into a greater conflict that for some reason centers around Yui's blood.
That sounds a bit more interesting than season 1, right? Well, sorry to disappoint you, but this season sucks way more ass than season 1. Like, season 1 of Diabolic Lovers was already an absolutely horrific and unhinched nightmare in itself, but season 2 is like if you take that nightmare, take out everything that was actually entertaining and then just shove it up your ass because that's literally where the story goes, which is to say nowhere.
If you have a fear of cliffhers, I would click off the video right now because you actually might have a heart attack.
Hello everybody, my name is Leo Hashi and today I watched Diabolic Lovers season 2 so you don't have to. If you enjoyed this video, make sure to leave a like and subscribe to watch me slowly but surely lose my mind. As usual, a huge shout out and thank you to my channel members. If you're interested, feel free to check my memberships out.
The Abolic Lovers Season 2 purely exists to promote the game. And I'm fairly confident in that statement because there is literally no other way to explain or justify the existence of this piece of [ __ ] okay? Because it's not even that the story is good or bad or anything like that. It's just incomplete. It's a complete waste of time for anyone who is not interested in playing Diabolic Lovers More Blood the video game. This season is basically that one friend who goes, "Hey, guess what?" And then as you turn and ask them what what over and over again, they just pretend like they didn't even say that in the first place, like they're pulling some slick [ __ ] And I confess, yeah, okay, I am that one friend who does that to other people sometimes, okay? But now I understand what it's like for this to be done to you. And to any of my friends who happen to be watching this video, I'd like to apologize for my sins.
Anyway, this season spent the entire goddamn runtime teasing some kind of big ass mystery and reveal behind the scenes like how Yui is supposed to be some kind of mysterious figure known as Eve. or how the new brothers are trying to enact the apple of Adam plan or how their master wants Yui's blood. Or how this one other faction that's introduced very last minute to the show also wants Yui's blood and how it's about to become some kind of bloodshed all in the name of getting Yui's blood only for the show to then blueball your ass with no answers to any of the mysteries and actual interesting plot points whatsoever. It's a complete waste of time. Oh, but don't worry, guys. Those really weird scenes of a vampire boy being weird and flirty and overtly touchy with Yui and then sucking your blood while saying and doing some very violating things that feel super yucky. Oh, of course we get those scenes in almost every episode because my friends that is the backbone of the abolic lovers. All of this vampire lore, their family line, the brother's backstories, none of these things matter to the anime. As long as we get the weirdassy blood sucking scenes every single episode. Previous to watching this season, I was uninterested in playing the game. And after finishing this season, I can confidently say that I am now definitively uninterested in playing the game. Season 2 is frustrating because it had the potential to be somehow way more entertaining than season 1. Not only did we get the absolutely unhinged weirdo Sakamaki brothers from season 1 back in the show, but we now have a group of new vampire brothers that want to beef with the Sakamaki brothers, as well as want to take Yui for some mysterious reason. We have the potential for some verbal destruction between the two families like roasting battles or maybe even something interesting actually happening in a story to distract from the awful bloodrinking scenes that they just need to include in every goddamn episode. But instead of getting anything actually entertaining, all we get is a jumbled garbage adaptation of a video game that feels more like a show that adapted the trailer for the video game into an anime rather than adapt the actual game itself. Usually before breaking down a show, I like to talk about what I liked and didn't like about it. But Diabolic Lovers season 2 has pretty much nothing to like and only things that suck. So, let's talk about those. Okay. The characters are absolutely butchered in this season. They introduced an entirely new group of vampire brothers this season, which in itself isn't a bad thing, but it feels like a horrible idea when a season itself only has 12 episodes with a runtime of like around 10 minutes each episode. Like, what are we even trying to do here, guys? I honestly think as characters, the new vampire brothers are actually way more interesting than the Sakamaki brothers featured in season 1. mainly because their backstories and relationship with each other are way more fleshed out and help them feel a bit more human and way more sympathetic than the Sagamaki brothers. Unfortunately, it does not help when the show they're featured in sucks ass. And it also doesn't help when these brothers then turn and also do some really gross and creepy [ __ ] to UI without her consent in like every episode. You know, like watching someone do that kind of thing to someone else makes it really hard to like or sympathize with that perpetuator in my opinion. And in a show with already so many goddamn vampire boys fighting over the spotlight, obviously it's impossible to fit all of them in such a stupidly short runtime. Like the rules of physics probably won't allow that at this point.
Now imagine trying to combine four entirely new characters, an entirely new story line involving Yui and the new boys, as well as trying to incorporate the entire cast of season 1 at the same time. You got a disaster. So, not only are the new characters not given as much time to shine despite being the featured characters of the season, the Sakamaki brothers from season 1 are also absolutely butchered and destroyed as they are now a shell of their former selves. Not to say that they were any actual good characters in season 1, but at the same time, these characters all lack the absolutely unhinched charm that they carried in season 1 and all feel like a one-dimensional caricature that are somehow more unlikable than before.
I thought the vampires were all [ __ ] in season 1, but in season 2, they've only upgraded into even bigger [ __ ] Like, they're such [ __ ] to Yui. They literally treat Yui like absolute [ __ ] I can't. And speaking of Yui, she as a character was also completely butchered in this season. I mean, she's supposed to be a self-insert character because she's the player character in the game.
So, it's expected that she doesn't have any sort of personality of her own. But I swear to God, I feel like the anime decided to adapt the version of the character that decides to choose to stay silent during like basically every choice they can make during a conversation in the game. Just like season 1, Yui becomes a complete victim to these horrible vampire brothers no matter where she goes and continues to face constant harassment from these brothers who desperately thirst over her blood. She still has pretty much zero agency and ability to consent to any of the situations happening to her because she's trapped in this horrible situation where she's only surrounded by these freakazoid vampires who just see her as livestock to feed on 24/7 live stream, but then she acts like everything is completely okay or seems just unaffected and is totally fine being in the same room as these [ __ ] who constantly make her life into a living hell. Like, what is this writing? I feel like there ain't no way UI is walking out of this series without literal life-changing trauma. But I don't know, man. But at the end of the day, the problem with Yui and the rest of the characters, as well as this entire season in general, is that it just sucks ass when you cram a 100 different things into a space that can only fit like 0.1 of those things.
Okay, anyways, that's enough ranting from me. Let's now go through and break down season 2 of Diabolic Lovers and why it sucks ass. First, let's quickly recap some important stuff from season 1. This show stars Yui Kumori, a 17-year-old girl who was mysteriously sent to live with a group of vampires known as the Sakamaki brothers, who basically all see Yui and humans in general as livestock to suck blood from and nothing more. The brothers from oldest to youngest are Shu, the orange-haired eldest brother who always wears earbuds to show that he doesn't give a [ __ ] guys. Deji, the glass, is wearing second brother who cares about manners and etiquette and doesn't take no [ __ ] from anyone.
Ayato, the red-haired third brother with a narcissistic streak who basically wants to take Yui only for himself.
Kanto, the purple-haired, insane ass fourth brother who always carries a teddy bear named Teddy and is only either chill or extremely angry and annoying as hell. Leto, the fedora wearing fifth brother who is basically just a creepy little [ __ ] who basically essays Yui multiple times throughout the series. Oh, also for people who don't know or remember, he calls Yui Chan the entire time. And don't worry, this wonderful nickname doesn't go away in the second season. And finally, Subaru, the pink-haired youngest brother who has a short temper, but also seems to like and care for Yui's somewhat, I think.
Anyway, season 1 ended with Yui getting entangled in the Sakamaki brothers family affairs, as her heart was literally replaced with one of their mother's hearts in an attempt to revive her using Yui's body. But this attempt was thwarted by Yui herself, who made a valiant sacrifice to save everyone else from getting hurt. However, the Sakamaki brothers then managed to revive Yui and she wakes up and she says, "I'm thirsty." Wo! Has Yui become a vampire?
Well, this question is never directly addressed or answered, but it's pretty clear in season 2 that no, I guess UI never became a vampire and was just thirsty for some water or something. Who knows? Who cares? Anyways, now let's set the stage for season 2. The season begins as we're immediately introduced to a pair of mysterious figures who are staring into the night sky as they say some [ __ ] like, "Let the vengeance begin for the future of us founders. Who are these menacing figures? Will we ever find out?" Anyways, Yui Kumori, the main character, is sleeping under a tree when she suddenly hears a voice call her Eve.
Yui asks who's talking to her as she's suddenly in this weird dreamy space with a tree in the middle of it and some kind of weird spinning contraption in the sky. What is this mysterious place? Will we ever find out? Yui suddenly wakes up in the mansion and as soon as she wakes up, the poor girl's nightmare begins as three of the vampire brothers are just sitting at the foot of her bed. They complain about how she makes so much damn noise when she sleeps as Ayat, the red-haired brother, IS LIKE, "YO, BOOBLESS, I'M VERY THIRSTY. Let me drink." And Yui's like, "Wait, this is so sudden." And the other two are also like, "Come on, Ayat. You can't just keep her to yourself." The three keep demanding her blood as Leto says, "Let's all do something fun together, beat Chun." God, ever charming light. But anyway, the three go to bite her neck.
And thankfully, we are spared from an icky bloodrinking scene as it cuts to the brothers riding their limo to night school as Lei, the glasseswearing brother, says, "I can't believe you would do such things this early in the morning." Letha continues to be a gross weird little [ __ ] as he says, "Ichan writhing in agony while we all swarm upon her." Just thinking about it gets me excited. Subaru then calls him a pervert, which I think is literally the first goddamn time anyone in this show has called Leto out for his weird, gross behavior towards Yui. Everyone just argues for a bit until Kanato, the insane fourth brother, tells Yui, "IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT." And Yui's like, "What?
Me?" And I'm also like, "What? Yui?"
Konato in this season continues to be his ever charming self, just like in season 1. And by that, I mean, holy [ __ ] [ __ ] he is such an [ __ ] And I hate his ass. Oh my god. Suddenly, the story becomes somewhat interesting as the car flips over and hits a tree, destroying it. The vampire brothers managed to escape safely. And Aayatal had carried and saved Yui. As they stare at the blazing wreckage, they wonder what just happened. It doesn't seem to be an accident. They then look up to see four other random dudes standing menacingly at top a cliff. One of them moves his mouth as Yui notices that he's calling her Eve. The dudes then disappear. The brothers determine that those mysterious dudes are also vampires based on their smell. However, they don't seem to be pure blood. According to Rai, as he pushes up his glasses harder like a nerd, says, "I see. It's a declaration of war. Sounds fun." Huie finds herself unable to sleep until she suddenly hears Eve again. Someone speaks up from behind her and says, "Found you." It's a blonde dude who says, "Good morning, masochistic kitten." He literally calls her masochistic kitten in Japanese. Like, what what are we doing here? What is this Discord bot shaped like a good-looking anime dude doing in thising show? Like what? I didn't think we could find a nickname as deranged as Beat Chan. But masochistic kitten is honestly on the same level, bro. Like what's next? Nitro ho.
Get it? Cuz nitro like this nitro. Okay.
Anyway, Yui is now surrounded by the four mysterious brothers who tell her not to run. A dude with long orange hair says, "DON'T RUN YOU S." The word he used in Japanese was misuba which literally translates to female pig aka a sao. But this word is used as a derogatory term for women. So obviously we need a character who calls you that because diabolic lovers. The guy in a red beret says you smell just like me.
And smiles. What the hell? You begins to run away as it suddenly flashes to the dream area she was in before. As someone says, "Eternal life fate. A promise exchanged. Eve. The new Eve. What do these mysterious words mean? Will we ever find out? As UI runs towards the mansion, the last brother says, "Eve, I've come for you." The brothers grab her as someone says, "I entrust everything to you." As episode 1 comes to a close. Now, you might think, "Huh, this actually seems way more interesting than season 1. I'm actually a bit curious to see what happens with some of these mysteries. Like, for example, one of these recurring mysteries is this weird dream world that UI finds herself in sometimes throughout the season. We see a tree in the middle of this place that grows and blooms throughout the season. And then around the end of the season, you know, when things get all sad and tragic and whatever, the tree begins to shrivel up and die and things stop moving in the dream world and whatever. This is something that they continuously tease you with throughout the entire season from episode 1 to episode 12. And we literally do not get a single explanation of what the actual this place is, what it represents, if it's real, or if it's important to the story, or if it's some stupid ass symbolism mumbo jumbo garbage [ __ ] There's nothing. There's nothing. And I don't know if you can tell, but this is a recurring thing that happens throughout this entire season. Isn't this wonderful? Anyways, Yui wakes up in a different mansion than before as the guy is like, "You finally woke up, you livestock." Yui asks him who he is and what she's doing there. Two very valid question for someone who just got kidnapped. And this dude gets really mad and punches the wall as he yells, "Quit, YOU'RE SQUEALING, YOU S JESUS CHRIST, MAN. Poor Yui." The brothers then introduce themselves. They are the Mukami brothers. Co is the blonde guy Discord mod who calls her masochistic kitten. Yuma is the orange-haired guy who calls her a sa female pig. Aza is the green-haired dude wearing a red beret. And finally, Ruki is the blackhaired guy who kind of looks generic as hell and is the clear main love interest of the season. The four brothers tell Yui that she'll be living in this mansion from here on out. UI says she can't do that and has to go back to the Sakamaki household. Nuki, the brother with black hair, says, "You were treated like a play thing by the vampires at that mansion. Were you not?"
As Yui is unable to respond. Or I guess they chose the silent dialogue response here or something. I don't know. Nuki says, "What did your mind degrade to the level of livestock while you were being kept as their pet?" Yui says, "They're all vampires, too, so it would be the same if she stayed there." To which the brothers are like, "We don't appreciate being compared to them. We actually have sense." Cool. The blonde Discord mod gets real pissed off suddenly, and he yells, "We really don't care if you're convinced or not." Oh boy, don't piss him off because he'll turn into a werewolf and tear you apart. Ruki says their plan requires Yui or Eve in this case in her blood. Yui is shocked, saying, "Eve is me. How can that be?
There's no way." Yuma, the orange-haired dude, yells, "ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS SHUT UP AND OBEY US." LUKI SAYS, "As the one who possesses the blood of Eve, you can definitely find him. You'll find Adam."
They tell her as long as she is Eve, she will obey their rules and lock her in a bedroom. Literally, this poor girl just cannot catch a break throughout this entire damn show. Meanwhile, back at the Sakamaki mansion, the brothers wonder where Yui is. Kanto says, "I'm so thirsty and then cries like a little [ __ ] and then gets mad. Shu says they should just leave her be and that she'll come back eventually and Deji hopes that Shu is right." All right, now let's shift onto the Mukami brothers and their individual stories for a little bit. The Mukami brothers are a group of four exhumans turned vampires who now live in the same household and all serve a mysterious figure they keep referring to as him. The four all come from very tragic backgrounds and met at some sort of institute that was horribly abusive to them until they were saved by the mysterious figure that they serve to this day. I find these brothers to be actually more interesting than the Sakamaki brothers, at least as characters. Maybe because they used to be human or something, but they have very human-like traits that make him somewhat more likable than any of the Sakamaki brothers who all just act high and mighty like they're gods or some [ __ ] For example, we see the Mukami brothers fighting over dinner and who gets to eat what like an average family dinner sort of thing. They are the complete opposite of the Sakamaki household where the brothers relationships are strained and they do not get along. The Mukami brothers deeply care for each other.
Unfortunately though, they are vampires and diabolic lovers. Though, of course, all of these brothers come with their own set of uncomfortable and icky bloodrinking scenes because that is the backbone of the show. Just like in the first season, we get scenes of the brothers spending time with Yui and then they suddenly pin her to some kind of surface and then as Yui begs them to stop, they begin to drink her blood and then we see some kind of tragic backstory about the character and then the cycle repeats itself. Isn't this just wonderful? First, let's talk about Duki Mukami. Duki is the blackhaired brother who looks generic as [ __ ] He's clearly portrayed as the main love interest figure of the season. And I tried to describe his personality to you, but now that I think about it, I find it impossible to actually describe this dude. It feels like he's mostly just there for the story as a plot device and doesn't have any actual personality traits, except well, he exists and I guess he's handsome and he's good at cooking. So, I guess those are two things I can say about him. I guess I'd say that he's the first vampire to treat Yui like an actual human being in a show, but at the same time, he does treat her like complete [ __ ] too. So he feels just as unlikable as everyone else. UI at first tries to escape the Mukami household until Duki suddenly spawns in front of her and throws her onto the ground. He calls her ill-behaved livestock for trying to run away. As UI gets very upset, Duki is like, "Are you trying to sympathy bait?"
That kind of stuff doesn't work on us vampires. To think that Eve, the one we've been searching for this whole time, turned out to be such a mediocre woman such as yourself. He grabs her and says, "This must be done for our cause."
And bites into her neck and begins to drink her blood. Of course, as per usual, Yui tells him to stop and tries to push him off, but Luki's like, "As long as he wishes it, we will continue to desire your blood." We see a flashback of Rookie's past at some point. He and the other brothers are beaten up and running away from men with guns from the horrific institute that they were staying at. As Rookie is on the ground, the men call him a former aristocrat and accuse him of inciting the incident, branding him as punishment, which is horrible. As Rookie is on the ground, hopeless, a random ass dude spawns in front of him and says some words that we can't hear. as he reaches his hand out to Dookie who takes it. So yeah, a big thing about Dookie is that he really wants to make whatever this master figure is planning come to fruition. He is literally more of a plot device than anything else, which makes him honestly super boring to me.
Anyways, he'll keep coming back up in the story, so just know that he exists, but we can move on to the next brother.
Now, let's talk about Aza Mukami. Aza has green hair and sports a red beret.
She seems to be very low energy and also uh masochistic like really masochistic.
As the other brothers go to night school, UI is forced to stay home and Aza keeps watch of her. He invites Yui to his room because he wants to show her his treasures. These treasures seem to be some highquality knives or something.
Aza then suddenly asks Yui, "Do you love me?" "What?" Aza then asks, "Will you hit me?" Huh? Yui says, "Of course not.
I can't do such a thing." Aasa then says, "That's too bad. I guess you hate me. UI wonders how the he got to such a conclusion as Aza suddenly takes a knife and says, "See this knife? I just sharpened it. I want to see it pierce your skin. I bet it's beautiful. What is going on here?" Yui begs for him to stop. So Aza says, "Then cut me instead." Yui says that she can't, but Aza says it's fine. As Aza continues to harass Yui, she instinctively reacts and ends up cutting Aza's hand with a knife.
Suddenly, we get a flashback to Aza's childhood. He's in the streets being called a worthless stray as he is badly beaten. He tells himself, "When I bleed, everyone is happy." As he apologizes, the kids continue to beat him up until Aza begins to laugh. They ask him what's so funny and Aza just asks them to hit him more with a smile. This freaks out the bullies and they all leave him alone. And as they leave, Aza begs them to please hit him more, to give him a reason to live, proof that he's alive. I mean, holy [ __ ] [ __ ] That is one extremely depressing way to turn someone's masochism into a tragic backstory that explains why they are the way they are. Back to the present, Aza looks at the cut and calls it great. Yui says they have to banish it, but Aza, of course, suddenly pushes Yui onto the wall from behind and says, "No need.
Just give me your blood." Yui says, "No." But Aza drinks the blood anyways.
He's like, "This is Eve's blood, huh?
I'll suck more. Are you happy?" Yui says it hurts. And Aza responds, "The greater the pain, the better, right? I'll make you feel more because you are my precious Eve. Yuma, the orange-haired brother, suddenly spawns into the room and tells him to stop at this point, and Yui falls unconscious. Aza looks at the cut on his hand, saying, "Eve, you really are the same as me. I wonder if I can become Adam. Can I be of use to him?" So, yeah, Aza is quite the character. His backstory is super depressing and very sad, and it honestly feels like the writers are really trying to sympathy bait with these dudes way more than they did in season 1. And honestly, it works almost until again they start pinning Yui to a wall and start doing gross [ __ ] to her and that always ruins everything. Next up, it's Yuma Mukami. Yuma is a dude with orange hair and a short temper. He calls Yui a sa or female pig throughout the entire time and seems to be an aggressive little [ __ ] but is also shown to have a softer side as well. I actually feel like Yuma is one of the only actual interesting characters in this season, as he also seems to have a bigger relevance to a different subplot from season 1, but I'll talk about that more later. While UI takes a bath, Yuma suddenly opens the door while screaming, "YO, YOU SOW." AS YUI understandably screams, Yuma says, "SHUT UP. DON'T YELL IN THE BATHROOM." UUI ASKS WHAT the hell he wants. And Yuma's like, "Obviously, I need something from you." And tries to drag Yui out with him. UI says, "No."
Because she obviously wants to put on clothes first, but Yuma responds, "Nobody's going to get aroused from looking at your body." Which, okay, I have to say, really gross comment, but also at the same time, one of the most diabolical roasts I've heard in a minute. Anyways, Yuma asks Yui to help him pick some veggies from his garden.
Yuma seems to really care about his plants and actually enjoys gardening.
Yui asks why he grows this much food if vampires don't need food to survive. And Yuma responds that it's because he likes to eat food since they were humans before becoming vampires. We see a brief flash to Yuma's past. He used to live in the slums and at some point his friends were all tragically killed and Yuma would have been too if he hadn't met him, the mysterious figure that is now their master. UI asks who he's talking about, but Yuma shuts her up by feeding her a tomato, which UI says, "Oh, it tastes delicious." And wow, it's like, wo, Yuma seems actually kind of wholesome, and it's kind of cute how they're interacting like normaling human beings, except of course this is the abolic lover, so no character is free of their sins. Yuma begins to, of course, suck UI's blood out of her shoulders, and she tries to run away, but he pushes her into the greenhouse wall. She tells him to let go, but he continues to suck on her blood and says, "Delicious, give me more." We then get a flashback to Yuma's childhood again. He's beaten down in the slums in terrible condition. He wonders if he's going to die out here, but someone approaches him and tells him to come with them, reaching his hand out with a smile. Yuma takes his hand as a flashback ends. And honestly, I have no idea who or what this scene is supposed to show, but whatever. Who even cares at this point? In the present, Yuma stares at a cube of sugar as he sits next to an unconscious UI. She wakes up, but struggles to get up. Yuma says, "Fine."
and puts a sugar cube in his mouth and does a little mouthto-mouth transfer of the cube so Yui can have it. He says, "There, eat some of that. I'm sharing something really valuable to me. You better savor it." And pushes the cube into her mouth. Yui touches her lips and says, "It's sweet." I mean, this is so stupid. But also, part of me was like, "If this was an actual romance anime and not the abolic lovers, maybe I would have found this part kind of cute, a little romantic." But unfortunately, again, this is the abolic lovers. I actually think Yuma is somewhat interesting as a character. He had a lot more depth than any of the other brothers, that's for sure. And some of his scenes were at least somewhat wholesome and it wasn't just him harassing Yui the entire time. So, he's a bit better than the other brothers, but that's really not saying much.
Finally, let's talk about Cole Mukami. This little [ __ ] I cannot stand this guy. I actually think he's my least favorite character in all of Diabolic Lovers. At least in this season, for sure, he is my least favorite character. Cole is a blonde dude who can only really be described as this sort of incel/ nice guy type of dude. You know, Discord mod type beat. He's the type to act all charming and cute and nice to get what he wants. But when he doesn't get what he wants, he gets really pissed off and begins to throw a [ __ ] tantrum. He also manages to win the most ridiculous nickname for UI contest over Leto's because he calls her masochistic kitten.
Like this dude just feels slimy. Okay.
Cole at some point brings Yui a bouquet of roses, saying that it's a symbol of friendship. Uui takes it, saying they smell nice and they're beautiful. Co then says, "Oh, you'll show me your gratitude then, right? Do you really think you can get something without giving something in return?" He then hugs her, telling her it's a give and take world. Yui says, "No." and pushes him off and as she apologizes for this, which I don't really see why she has any reason to apologize, but Co then gets really pissed off like he starts throwing a fit.
>> This is the thanks I get for being nice, so you just take a little gift. Who the hell do you think you are? Give me back those roses. You don't need them anymore, right? Since you won't give me anything. He begins to tear apart the roses and then starts to choke Yui. And then says, "I gave you one friendly look and you get all delusional. Please stop pissing me off so much." He then begins to drink her blood and says, "Holy [ __ ] what is this blood? I could get used to this. I won't kill you. Not until I become Adam." Like, "Ew. Who the is this disgusting little [ __ ] He's actually such a gross person or I guess vampire, whatever." like he's the vampire version of I held the door for you. Why won't you have sex with me? Like what a little freak, dude. Later, we find out that Cole works as an idol as he invites Yui into his room to help him change his clothes. As he takes his shirt off, Yui sees some scars on his back and Cole begins to tell her about his past in a very happy tone. We get a flashback to his childhood. He lived in the sewers as a child and had never seen the outside world. And it was his dream to one day go outside. One day he was able to leave but he was taken to a certain institution full of kids with no place to go. This institution turned out to be even worse than the sewers because he was more beautiful than the other children. Co was given nice clothes and fed good food but in return became the prey of aristocrats who used money as power and as a result he suffered subhuman treatment. I mean it's absolutely horrific what this dude's gone through. Like this backstory is extremely tragic, but it unfortunately also still doesn't excuse any of the disgusting behavior he exhibits on UI.
And that's the thing with this season.
You know, they really ramped up the tragic backstories to really try and make me feel sympathetic for these dudes, but at the same time, it's hard to feel sympathy for dudes who just constantly harass this poor young girl, you know? Anyways, Yui asks how Cole can speak so cheerfully about something so painful. Co says that good stuff has happened, too. He obtained brothers because of this experience. He then says, "Hey, masochistic kitten, sleep with me. Let's share a bed." And he grabs her arm and pulls her in.
Suddenly, we see a young coat being told by a man that he can't obtain anything without paying the price. And that's just how the world works. The adults tell him to come here, asking if he wants a better life. Turns out that Co is having a nightmare. As Yui wakes up and hears him screaming, "Stop!" Co still asleep, grabs Ui's arm as he whimpers in fear. So yeah, Co is just I I hate all of it, man. He acts like a little [ __ ] but then they try to make me care about this guy by giving him one of the most messed up and tragic backstories. And it's like, come on, man. What are we doing here? This character sucks because it feels like they're just begging me to care about a character who constantly harasses and violates Yui. Like, I just can't deal with this dichotomy, man. Anyways, that's pretty much the individual brothers and their interactions with Yui. After a certain point, the show starts to focus more on the actual story than the individual characters. So, I'll be dividing up the rest of this video up into shorter arc sections. Next up is a little story arc I like to call the return of the Sakamaki brothers. That's right. We finally get to see our beloved, well, I don't know if that's the word I use, vampire brothers that we got to know in season 1. UI one day goes back to night school along with the Mukami brothers. This is the same night school that UI had gone to before, meaning that the Sakamaki brothers were also going to be there as well. As UI walks towards her class, she walks past Reji, the glasses brother, who says he was wondering where she went off to, but now he understands. UI says, "Sorry, I couldn't keep in touch. The look at me brothers took me." But suddenly, Reji says, "I don't have the slightest interest in where you are." or who you're with. And I'm like, "Ah, I remember why I didn't like these guys."
Leto then sneaks up on her saying, "You're so cold, [ __ ] Chan. You tossed us aside to go and have fun with them."
Katu appears saying, "I'm very displeased." Yui apologizes, and I'm like, "Wait, what? Why are they getting mad at her? It was very clearly not her fault." None of this is really UI's fault at all. Why do they keep blaming her for everything? I don't know if this is clear yet, but the show loves to kind of victim blame a lot. Like UI gets blamed for everything and she apologizes for everything. Sometimes [ __ ] she doesn't even have control over and it drives me insane, man. Anyways, they tell her that Ayat, the red-haired brother, had been looking for her the entire time. Later, Subaru, the pink-haired, youngest brother of the Sakamaki household, pulls Yui up to the rooftop where he throws her onto a fence and asks if it was her own will to live with them. Yui says, "Well, I I um" and then doesn't say anything back. Somebody then gets pissed, saying, "You can't even answer." Co. The blondhaired Discord mod appears and taunts Subadu saying, "Are you bad because your food was taken away?" Oh, I got it. You actually like her, don't you? Co says Subu isn't being honest with himself as his eyes begin to glow red. Co's eyes do this thing where sometimes they glow red for some reason, but basically like every other goddamn mystery in this season, this is never explained or addressed in any way. Co then hugs Yui from behind, telling Suba that if he wants her back, he should just take her back. back. Sub doesn't respond and co says, "Okay, I guess you don't want her.
I'll take her then." Sub suddenly grabs Uie and drinks her blood as she tells him to stop. Sub then says, "This is stupid." and walks off. As Co looks at the bite mark Suba just made on UI's neck. Co says, "I'll disinfect that for you." And then bites into the same spot that Suba just bit into and begins to drink her blood. How is this disinfecting her? This This feels more unsanitary in comparison. Holy mother of Christ. Imagine the disease that could be transferred this way. Co then says, "I'll suck so deeply, you won't even be able to tell this was Subadakun's mark."
Cole continues to drink her blood while making weird moaning noises and then says, "I won't let them have you." This show just never ceases to amaze me with howing stupid it is. Next, we'll move on to the subplot involving the characters of Shu Sakamaki, the eldest brother from season 1, and Yuma Mukami, the orange-haired brother from season 2. As a quick recap, Shu had a friend during his childhood named Edgar that he used to be close with despite him being a vampire. and Edgar being a human.
However, tragically, Edgar had lost his life when his entire village had burned down. Since then, Shu has grown up to be a very uncaring and kind of apathetic dude who doesn't really want anything to do with anyone else. At some point, Yuma bumps into Shu in the hallway, who is just chilling on the stairs with his eyes closed. Yuma says, "You're in no way." Neat. Shu says, "If you want to pass, just pass." And Yuma aggressively walks past. I mean, this is what I mean when this season had so much wasted potential. Imagine the types of arguments these brothers could have with one another. After this, Yuma begins to show interest in Shu as he asks Yui some questions about what kind of guy he is.
Back at school, Yuma catches Yui, who seems to be feeling weak, and he begins to princess carry her. They bump into Shu sleeping in a hallway again, and Yuma tells him to move, but Shu doesn't say anything back. Yuma then kicks the wall next to his head, and Yui says, "Good morning." To which Shu responds, "You switched to that side, have you? A truly immoral woman." Again, we out here blaming Yui for everything, I guess, and just like demeaning her and only her, but whatever. Yuma tells the need to stop blabbing and to move, asking, "Did your brain rot because you barely move?
You think everything in this world was put for you? This is why I hate aristocrats." This causes Shu to open his eyes. And of course, once again, Yuma's like, "Ah, come to think of it, Yui was yours, too. Come here, S." And bites her and drinks her blood again.
Shu sides and walks off, calling all of it a pain in the ass. And Yuma stops as he had only bit UI to make a point, I guess. Anyways, as Shu walks away, we see a flashback to his childhood. He's sitting in the forest and gets recognized as an aristocrat by a random kid who says, "This place isn't for a nobleman." The two kids bond as the other kid, who looks just like Yuma, says, "I'm Edgar." Shu then realizes that Yuma actually might be Edgar from his childhood, but that shouldn't be possible. Deji, the glasses brother, also seems surprised to see that Edgar is alive. However, he was a human before, so how did he become a vampire?
And let me answer this question for you right now. WE NEVER FIND OUT AGAIN.
Eternal blue balling of the abolic lover season 2 continues. They'll bring up something interesting only to then just DESTROY AND OBLITERATE ALL OF YOUR HOPES and dreams of the show actually being interesting in anying way. Speaking of potentially interesting plot points that only end up in a horrible blue balling of the viewers. Let me tell you about the subplot surrounding a mysterious plan called the apple of Adam plan which involves the Mukami brothers trying to go through something called the awakening by drinking copious amounts of Yui or Eve's blood and whoever awakens would become a figure known as Adam. The mysterious plan was apparently something the Mukami brothers were trying to accomplish for him, the mysterious master type figure that the brothers served. Well, you might be wondering about things like, well, what is this plan? What is the awakening? What happens to someone who becomes Adam? Who are the Mcoming brothers actually working for? And what does he want to do? And don't worry guys, just like everything else we've talked about so far, none of these questions are answered or touched upon in any satisfying way, as we're left to wonder, why the [ __ ] do they just LOVE WASTING YOUR GODDAMN TIME? I LOVE THIS SHOW.
THROUGHOUT the season, there are many scenes where the Mukami brothers ask each other if they've seen any sign of the awakening, but no one's seeing it.
And at some point, this begins to affect Rookie greatly as he is very loyal to his master and wants to make the plan come true no matter what he has to do.
It gets to the point where he becomes so bothered by something that he begins to act standoffish even around his own brothers, something they've never seen in the many years they've known him.
Yuki had begun to question if they are truly capable of becoming Adam and becomes desperate to make the plan come to fruition, even aggressively shoving Gooey into a smaller room and telling her that she'll be staying in this small room for a while. And then he locks her up. Uki says they were too lenient on her. And this is how livestock should be treated and they have to demand even more of her blood in order to finally awaken as Adam. After a week of literally leaving this poor girl locked up, even the other brothers wonder how much longer they're going to keep her like that. Ruki, however, just walks away without saying anything. Will Yui ever be able to escape the prison cell she's been thrown into? Well, good news everyone. I guess good news. I don't know. The next section is a little arc I like to call the rescue of UI, but rescue in quotation marks because UI is really being rescued only to be then taken to another just as horrible, if not even worse, location to have just as horrible things done to her. UI suddenly sees Ayato in her small chamber WHO SAYS, "I FINALLY found you, booiss. It's time to go home." Yui tells him to wait and Ayato says, "What? Did these dudes tame you? YOU ARE MINE. YOU ARE MY PREY." And grabs UI and escape with her.
And it turns out that Duki was also there and allowed Yui to be taken away.
The other brothers question Duki why he didn't do anything to stop them, but he says nothing. Meanwhile, Ayat once again pushes Yui onto a tree and demands her blood. Yui at this point has been weakened from being locked up and constantly getting her blood sucked. And Ayato even notices some bruised marks left on her by their bite. Ayoto demands to know how much blood she let them take. And it's like, guys, are we still really just blaming Yui for this? Like, how much blood did you let them take?
Yui doesn't EVEN HAVE THE POWER IN those situations. This is such annoying writing, man. God. Anyway, Ayata continues to bite into her neck and drink her blood, saying he'll keep carving it on her body so she doesn't forget that she belongs to only him.
Yada yada yada. Yui wakes up in the Sakamaki mansion as Leto says, "Welcome home, [ __ ] Chan." See, this wasn't really a rescue because Yui is just being thrown into this disgusting den of horny vampires. Leto says, "I missed you while you were gone." and thinking about what they've been doing to you over there turns me on. And then he takes her sheets off, which Yui immediately tells him to please stop. But Leto's like, "Resist me more, Buchanan, and starts to feel her leg up and [ __ ] and bites into her thigh, drinks her blood, like, what are we what are we doing here, guys?"
Anyways, Deji cuts Leto's creep activity short as he summons Yui into the living room. He asks her if she can tell him what she knows about the other group of brothers. Yui doesn't know how to respond or I don't even know anymore.
She just stays silent and Deji says, "You're just as useless as ever." UI then says she's not sure why, but they keep calling her Eve. And Deji asks if they mention anything about Adam. As Yui confirms this, Deji wonders what those exhumans might be planning and asks if UI knows anything else. Once again, Yui decides to stay completely silent for some reason. I just I don't understand.
And Deji barges her with some insults.
Wow, you really are useless. What have you been doing there all this time? I don't know, Deji. She was being [ __ ] victimized by a bunch of freakazoid vampires. That's what she's been doing there the entire time. Like how was any of this on Yui? Deji. I just Anyway, Deji then says, "Did you do nothing but let them suck your blood whenever they wanted?" How foolish. Like again, UI didn't let them do it. Oh. Oh my god.
I'm going to lose my mind. Yui says they needed her blood for some kind of plan for him. And Deji finally seems to understand what's going on. Suddenly, all of the brothers begin to spawn in, all taunting and blaming Yui for leaving them for the other dudes like they've been doing to her all godamn season.
Deji had gathered everyone, which is something that only happens on rare occasions. Deja says they can't be careless now because they don't have much time until the next lunar eclipse.
Apparently, this is a special lunar eclipse that occurs simultaneously in both the human and demon worlds. Yeah, lore expansion out of nowhere. During this time, their vampire powers will decrease tremendously. They just hope that nothing bad happens. Then Dwey talks to Deji that night to ask exactly what the hell is going on with all this stuff. But as usual, Deji says she doesn't need to know about that. This is something that also keeps happening too.
Not just in this season, but both seasons. They'll tease some interesting lore or something actually interesting and then go, "Oh, but you don't need to know about that." to Yui and then eternally blue us from learning about anything. It's like the writers are just telling us to go [ __ ] ourselves. Beiji also says that the Mukami brothers probably won't be able to carry out their plan anyways and of course suddenly pushes Yui onto the table, calls her a fool, but her blood is special and bites into her arm and drinks her blood. yada yada yada same [ __ ] all over again. Anyways, now we start entering the end game like diabolic lovers version of Avengers Endgame. All of the plot points begin to converge together as we get some really interesting crossovers that definitely won't blueball you like everything else in this goddamn show. this arc and also the final arc of the season, which I like to call the founders attack. We see a bunch of angry-l lookinging wolves with a red aura approaching the mansions and preparing for some kind of attack.
Luki seems very downtrodden about something as sad music plays. The other Mukami brothers discuss what they should do until suddenly the wolves break into their mansion to attack them. Oh.
Meanwhile, back at the Sakamaki household, UI is just thinking about something when Kanto walks in looking angry as usual. UI asks him what's wrong and Konto begins to whine and moan and [ __ ] about how Yui is a traitor. She belongs to him. Why does she go with them? yada yada yada. Same old [ __ ] He obviously then begins to suck her blood forcefully yet again. And Aza walks into the mansion looking very disheveled. He calls out for Yui and tells her that Duki is in trouble. Yui asks what's wrong, but Kato tries to block her off and he finally snaps saying, "I guess you'll betray me, huh?
I'll destroy you and Aza if he won't be with me and I can just kill you."
>> Kath begins to choke Yui. actually trying to kill her. Aza suddenly grabs Teddy, Kanto's beloved bestie, and throws it into the fireplace, which causes Kanto to absolutely lose his mind and break down as HE SCREAMS FOR TEDDY AS AZASA TAKES YUI with him. I mean, I'm not going to lie. Hi, Kanato deserve that. Okay, like Azasa kind of coming in clutch here. Someone's going to teach this little [ __ ] a goddamn lesson. Oh my god. Like, what do you mean? Why did you choose them? You traitor. Like, what do you what do you mean? Like, she had no choice. I UI arrives at the Mukami household and sees Dukie injured in bed.
Apparently, Duki had covered for Aza during the wolf attack, and none of them have any idea why this would suddenly happen. The brothers confide in Yui that Duki has been feeling pressure because of the Apple of Adam plan, and how there were no signs of the awakening. Duki had always wanted the plan over everything else, which is why he cares so much, maybe too much about this. The brothers also say that despite life's hardships though, they were able to live and be happy as brothers thanks to Duki. I mean, at least these brothers actually seem to give a about each other, unlike another family of vampire freaks that we know. Later, Ruki awakens as UI is next to him. As UI tries to console him, Ruki tells her to leave him alone. Uui says that if he's so bothered by his issues, he should at least talk to his brothers about it. But Ruki says that it doesn't matter and nothing will change no matter what. Yuki had realized that no matter how much of Yui's blood they sucked, none of them are able to become Adam because they are nonp vampires. Only pure blood vampires are given the right to be Adam. Again, I have no idea what the [ __ ] Adam is supposed to be in this situation. Is it a buffed up Chadl looking vampire? Is Adam given the gift of having the largest vampire [ __ ] in history? We'll never ever know. Anyways, Duki says there's no way he could tell his brothers that they were trying to achieve something impossible from the start. UI says that it's possible the brothers figured this out already and are also aware of how Duki's been struggling with this. She also mentions how they said that Luki always puts them first. Hearing these words of encouragement, cheers Luki up, who says, "He'll think I've been cheered up by livestock." And Yui smiles. And of course, as per usual, Ruki grabs Ui's shoulder, stares into her eyes, and tells her, "I don't understand you. Is it because you're Eve? Stay that way.
You're my Eve and mine alone. Stay with me. Stay with me." And bites into her neck and begins to drink her blood. And this is supposed to be romantic because romantic happy music is playing during the scene. Like, what? The wolves are running through the forest as someone talks about how the lunar eclipse will help the founders reach their peak power. And the first thing they'll do is to claim that woman's blood. Vengeance has begun for the future of the founders or whatever. And you might be wondering, who the hell are these random ass dudes that decided to show up in the show last minute? Well, these guys are known as the founders. Who exactly are the founders? Well, you silly. Don't you realize by now that asking questions will never [ __ ] matter in this season because they will never ever tell you anything ever. The Sakamaki mansion also gets attacked by the wolves, which the brothers managed to survive. Deji and Shu determined that this attack was done by the last two survivors of the founders. So, I guess the founders were basically exterminated back in a day or some [ __ ] I don't really know. Who cares? Anyways, the brothers determined that their target must be Yui or more specifically her blood. Ayatul, despite having the disadvantage of losing his strength during the lunar eclipse, while the founders will be gaining all of their strength, seems very determined to get Yui back. Duki seems to be doing better now. As UI walks into the room, suddenly Ayat spawns in behind her, telling the two about the attack on the Sakamaki household. As they determine that the target is Yui, she says that she doesn't want to cause any more trouble than she has. And if she's the one they're after, she doesn't want to involve any of the brothers. Like, come on. You cannot be serious. How is any of this Yui's fault? None of this is her fault. Yet, for some reason, the entire show and she herself treats it like it actually is. And she feels worried about the brothers. The brothers who literally make her life into a living hell. I just I'm sorry. I just think all of this sucks. Ayat and Luki both ask what she can even do by herself, which honestly is a valid question at this point. And because vampire powers decreased during the eclipse, the vampires decide that they're going to have to work together to protect Yui or Eve from the founders.
As Aayato agrees, Duki then looks at Yui and asks if that is fine with her. And Yui actually being treated like a normal human being seems shocked that Duki is even asking her permission or consent to do something. And to be honest, even I was shocked about this because I thought consent just didn't exist in this goddamn universe. But I guess it does.
Anyways, Yui agrees to this. And then of course I had those like, "Oh, you belong to me." And then bites into her neck and starts drinking her blood. And then Dukie says, "You took the words right out of my mouth." Then grabs her from the other side. Says, "You're my one and only E." And starts to drink her blood from the other side. And she be getting vampire double teamed. Dukie says, "Feel only my fangs on your skin." And Aayoto says, "I won't let anyone else have you." And Yui just gets absolutely no say or free will. Dukie later tells Yui that she reminds him of a younger himself. freedom taken away, imprisoned, or perpetually suffering. But that won't work. He believes that someone can only become Adam when Eve has true will and choice, which was why Ruki asked Yui what she wanted to do before. So basically, UI gets her powers or whatever when she gets actual consent or she has to actually give consent to the other person in order for that person to become Adam. Has this entire thing just been a metaphor for aing consensual relationship? Anyways, all of the brothers are suddenly standing around her, smiling as they all declare wanting to be chosen as Adam by Eve. Epic music begins to play. The lunar eclipse begins. The moon turns bright red. The founders get ready for their attack. And then the show just ends. Yeah, the show ends just like that. Like that. How is this not a complete waste of my goddamn time? This [ __ ] sucks ass. Yabolic Lovers season 2 was a complete waste of time with an incomplete story, half-assed characters, and just weird essay coded [ __ ] that's somehow all supposed to be romantic in this sadistic backwards way. Somehow this season was way worse than season 1. Season 1 was at least entertaining and had a lot to talk about, whereas season 2, this season was just ass. Complete ass. It's just such an incomplete piece of [ __ ] that it really feels like it doesn't even warrant any serious analysis or anything like that. It just sucks. Anyways, that's it for me today, though. I hope you guys enjoyed this video and if you watched this point, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. Make sure to leave a like and don't forget to subscribe for more anime and anime related content. And as usual, a big thank you to my channel members and I will see you in the next video that I decide to make. Peace out.
