This video presents a detailed legal analysis of a 2023 incident where a college student was arrested after officers attempted to seize her phone during an arson investigation. The content creator conducts a 'rabbit hole' investigation, examining court records, news reports, and legal proceedings to provide context beyond the body cam footage. The analysis reveals that the student was charged with two counts of aggravated battery of a law enforcement officer, filed a federal lawsuit alleging excessive force, and her case remains ongoing with hearings scheduled. The video emphasizes the importance of understanding legal procedures, evidence seizure protocols, and the complexities of civil rights litigation, while also discussing media bias in reporting police incidents.

Hello everybody.
Billy is right here helping out. He's uh He's being very loving.
And of course there's Ava and Earl's over there sitting next to the cat tree.
Oh, nope, here he comes. Here he comes.
Yes, there you go, baby.
How y'all doing tonight?
It has been a dreary gloomy uh lazy day here at the paw firm.
I got a few things accomplished. Um I uh I went to try to go to sleep last night.
Hey, Billy, you do not swat my dog.
Don't you swat my dog.
Um I laid down 4:00 a.m. And uh had like the worst Charlie horses of my life in the back of my thighs.
And Snitch, the sweet little man that he is, crawled up like right next to me and he just laid down like like I'm here, mama.
You're okay.
And I laid there like 10 minutes trying to, you know, get my legs to stop.
And then I got up and of course couldn't go back to sleep until like 7:00 this morning.
Yeah, yeah. So, here I am.
OH, NO.
Mine is Mine was literally like from my butt to the back of my knees. Like that whole section of leg it it just it Charlie horsed and I couldn't do anything to relieve it.
And I know um what is it? My blood pressure medicine, I think it is, causes that. And I have been on so many cuz I'm I'm allergic to channel blockers. Like throat swells, tongue swells, that kind of allergic.
Uh yeah, so I can't take those at all.
So they have to keep putting me on these other ones. Yeah. Yeah. I resorted to that. I killed like four bottles in 10 minutes.
I was guzzling it.
I was like, "Oh my gosh."
You chasing Earl now, snitch?
Well, he's a brave boy.
Brave or stupid, I don't know which.
Hello, Salty Buddha. It's not even stupid o'clock for you.
That's when I usually go live for Buddha.
Hello, Jerry Matthew Boyd.
Hello, Nina Laura.
Hello, Joey Baker Donuts. It's so good to see you.
Hello, Wire Mother.
I think I confused some people, like possibly Mortimer Duke, because I uh I last night's video never went live this morning. I don't know why. So, when I posted the live stream, I made that one public as well. And I debated waiting until morning for it, and then I was like, "No, I'm going to put it out now."
And then Mortimer Duke sent me a sad face and said, "No live tonight." Like I'm like, "In 10 minutes, get your butt in there.
Hello Eileen and Carlene.
Hello Dark Zoo Me.
I did not eat my Wheaties.
I didn't. I had yogurt.
Hello Purple Kitty.
Yay.
That's a first and it's odd because I didn't post until 30 minutes before.
Oh. Oh, an hour after.
Oh. Oh, like it's done in the past. I got it. I misread it. That's what I get.
Going through so quickly.
Oh. Yes, thank you Jerry. I hope you guys all enjoyed the movie in Discord.
Jerry's the king of movieland.
Oh, yes. Oh, yes. Oh, no, no, it wasn't stupid cats. It was dumbass cats. Yeah.
Yeah, somebody stumbled across the wrong channel and they found themselves in my comment section asking why my videos what's up with all the dumbass cats and I'm like this entire channel is run by five dumbass cats, a dog, and their humble human.
They own me.
And they are not shy about it.
What? What?
You go and do something about it. You do something about it. I dare you.
I dare you, mister. Mister.
Yeah, that's what I thought. You ain't going to do nothing.
You ain't going to do nothing.
I know I I'm going to I'm going to have to I'm going to have to.
Hi Earl, welcome back.
Meow.
Meow.
You get nothing now? Okay. I heard you a second ago.
All right, let me text Marty.
See, he probably thought I wasn't going live and just decided to take a nap in this chair.
And tonight's going to be a good one. We haven't done one of these in a while, guys. The rabbit hole.
So, I watched a video and the channel that put it out, they did a great job covering the body cam video, right?
Hey Alyssa Bennett, welcome.
So, Uncovered did Oh, it's all right. I understand.
You know I love you.
So, Uncovered, they're the channel that did the original video that I watched, right?
The video left me with more questions than answers.
And so, I went on a deep dive.
That's that's what I spent my morning. There he is. Hello, Mortimer Duke. You're going to be happy you came.
Uh yeah, so we're going to watch the body cam video. I'm going to do a little bit of context explaining because I know you guys are so much like me and you're going to have questions, too.
So, there's a reason the thumbnail featured fire.
This young woman goes to a university.
Her roommates called because this woman broke into a locked room and allegedly started a fire in the house.
The investigating officer called her and asked her to come to the police department to discuss it.
The woman comes to the police department and they they decide at some point to confiscate her phone.
And that is what led to this encounter.
And Eileen I already know. I can already see every comment from Eileen.
Cuz it's all over a phone and we know how much she hates them.
Or how much she hates the emotional detachment that people have to them. And you're going to see that on full display.
Hello, Spider-Man.
Hello, Charlie. Welcome, my brother. I'm so happy you're here.
Oh man, the the paw firm is just going nuts. They're running around like crazy.
Earl's got the zoomies.
Zoom zoom zoom zoom.
As in it's loading?
Oh, no.
What?
I don't I Is anybody else experiencing buffering issues?
I'm going to find out before I start.
I mean, not that I can change anything about it.
Okay.
All right. Eileen, please reboot.
Uh because it doesn't appear to be a stream problem. Everyone else is doing good.
All right.
So, do the video, sweetie.
I can already I can already see your comments to the video because I know how much you hate people with their phones.
All right. We're going to get started on this because after the video, we've got some deep diving to do and I've got some explaining to do.
All right.
Let me mute me.
On February 9th, officers attempted to confiscate a college student's phone as part of an active investigation, but when confronted in the lobby, she completely melts down. Right. Are you who you phone list? So, we're going to have to seize your phone, so go ahead and hang up.
>> Seize my phone for what? Go ahead Go ahead and hang up. Why? Go ahead and hang up. They want to seize my phone, but I'm not under arrest or anything.
You're not under arrest, but your phone's going to be seized. I'm not. No.
We're going to You're going to hang up the phone.
I'm not.
They can seize my phone, but I'm not in custody or >> so listen so So listen You you listen for a second. So, the fire is going to be under investigation.
That's fine. Okay, and we're We're to seize your phone. Why? Because we are.
Cuz the fire's under investigation.
>> I need to know why my >> So, you can hand me the phone or I can take the phone. But I need to know why my phone's getting They're not telling me a reason why my phone's I just I just did. But you said it's under investigation, which I know. So, so listen to me. The fire That's her phone?
So, the fire's going to be under investigation and your phone's going to be seized. It should The amazing thing is, ma'am, an investigation is a reason.
So, immediately, she has already broken the law by refusing to comply.
That we're going to just start there.
And also, they don't need a search warrant to seize the phone because officers are allowed to seize property if there is a chance that by not taking the property, the evidence could be destroyed.
So, they don't have to get a search warrant before they can take it from her. They can just take it.
She don't understand that.
Yes, everyone's phone's being seized.
Oh, no, because you never you never told me that my phone would be seized when I got here. She didn't tell me that.
>> Okay, and when I And when I got here, the detective wasn't here. We're waiting for the detective. So, the detective's going to seize your phone.
>> one told me anything. You told me that you were about to take me home.
>> Okay. So, I'm not going to sit here and argue with you. So, you can hang up You can hang up with your the phone and I can take you home. Yep. So, No, they're not taking my phone and letting me leave. I don't know what I'm going to It's 3:00 a.m. It's 4:00 a.m. I can't go without my phone. Well, how is she going to go? Right. Where am I going to go without my phone? If I do the interview >> That's That's up to you.
Well, if I do the interview You can go do the You can go do the interview, but your phone's going to currently be seized. Can I talk to him first? Can he come down here cuz Nope. We're We're not going to do that. So, you can hang up the phone or I'm going to take the phone. That's how this is going to work.
Oh, absolutely not. So, She said hang up the phone or they're going to take the phone cuz at this point I'll be a threat. That's not a threat. I've asked you several times and you're just going to go back and forth with me.
>> reason as to why my phone is being taken.
>> so the fire is going to be under investigation by the fire department.
So, stop stop Don't interrupt me.
So, don't interrupt me. The fire is going to be under investigation.
>> tell me not to [ __ ] interrupt you and I'll bring this cop. So, the phone is going to be seized so in a second I want to take it.
>> you. I'm for a reason. I'm not rebutting. I'M ASKING YOU A REASON.
>> you would like to talk to the detective, you can. Why is my phone being seized?
>> If you would like to talk to the detective that is seizing it, you can.
Do you wish to talk to him? Yeah, but >> Do you want to give the interview?
No, I wanted to ask him why my phone is being seized cuz she said she could take me home but without my phone. That doesn't make sense. It It sounds like they're So, are you going to talk to the detective? No, I need I need everyone to come and tell me why my phone is being seized cuz no one told me this until right now. So, Cuz it seemed like >> So, the question It seemed like he's being petty cuz he wouldn't So, So, the question So, the question is are you going to talk to the detective?
>> matter of fact, are you recording this?
Are you going to talk to the detective and provide an interview? Yes or no? Is that with or without the phone? Without the phone. The phone is being seized.
Are you talking to the detective or no?
I don't know. That my That's not my question. I need an answer to that before I give So, the question is are you going to provide an interview? No.
No? Okay. Go ahead and hand me the phone. I have to know if my phone is being seized.
>> no anything. Hand me the phone.
Do not kick. Do not kick.
Okay, put your legs out.
Stop. Relax. Relax.
Relax.
Relax. We just want your phone. That's it.
>> We just want your phone. They're trying to give me no protection.

YOU ALL HAVE NO RIGHT. I CAME DOWN HERE WILLINGLY BECAUSE YOU'RE A BLACK WOMAN.
ALL RIGHT, GET UP. OKAY.
>> Hold on. I WANT YOU TO THINK ABOUT HOW YOU'RE HURTING ANOTHER BLACK WOMAN.
OKAY. WHERE YOU GOING to Relax. Relax.
Relax.
You just put me in handcuffs and I came down here willingly. Came down here willingly. Hold on, let me tie them up.
I came down here willingly. Get off of me. Say down. Relax. Say down.
>> GET ME UP THE [ __ ] RELAX. STAY DOWN.
>> WHY AM I ON THE FLOOR? ALL RIGHT, TAYLOR. OKAY, we're going to roll this way. Ready? Why are you putting me on the floor? We're going to get you up.

>> You are forcing me to.
>> I'm asking you if you're going to provide a statement. I can't force you to talk. I can't force you to talk.
>> YOU'RE TAKING MY ITEMS. I'm seizing this for now, yes. What does that mean?
>> to provide a statement?
>> Detective, I need to talk to her. I need an attorney present.
>> You can Okay. I need a lawyer.
>> You can take her to jail. All right.
Take me Where's your property? Whatever charges you guys have.
>> You have resisting and aggravated battery of a police officer.
>> OH MY GOD. OKAY, I'LL DO THE INTERVIEW.
>> You still have the charges.
I didn't aggravate you. You assaulted me.
>> Okay, so relax. You assaulted ME. I'M 18 YEARS OLD and you assaulted me.
Of course I'M AGGRAVATED. I I WASN'T I wasn't resisting arrest. YOU DIDN'T SAY THAT I WAS UNDER ARREST.
Is this the back of your earring? Are you arrest Are you putting something on my record? You're being arrested. I asked you So, listen. I asked you to provide your phone and you refused, okay? When you refused >> But you didn't give me a reason.
>> No, no. I said your phone was being seized.
You never gave me the reason.
>> me.
Don't interrupt me. I said your phone was being seized.
>> I asked you the reason. I TRUSTED YOU.
THAT'S WHY I came >> You didn't hand me your phone, okay?
Then we took your phone. I came here willingly.
You're going to jail. I kicked you off because you all were manhandling me. I couldn't move. I was scared.
>> don't really kick police officers, BUT >> I WAS SCARED. HELLO, YOU WOULD DO THE SAME THING.
>> Cuffs are supposed to be double locked.
If they weren't double locked, then >> They weren't. Go ahead and double lock them. Double lock them? I can't move.
Are you guys serious right now? How are you going to do this to me? I'm like Bro, I just got out of high SCHOOL AND YOU ALL ARE SCARING ME.
>> WANT me to transport her? Do you mind?
Or cuz you're busy? What are you talking about? I'm just doing paperwork.
>> I'm not busy. I'm I'm I'm Yes. You do?
Yes.
>> Okay, it's not going to affect any charges they have on you.
>> Okay, then just What is happening right now? I came down here cuz I THOUGHT I WAS DOING an interview. WHY AM I IN CUFFS?
>> I WOULD LIKE TO STILL interview you.
That's not >> But why AM I IN CUFFS? I'M SCARED. WHY ARE YOU ALL TOUCHING ME?
WHY IS MY STUFF being seized? YOU TOLD ME I WAS COMING HERE FOR AN INTERVIEW. I CAME HERE UNDER FALSE PRETENSES. THAT IS A CASE ITSELF.
>> DO YOU WANT TO GO BACK AND TALK or not?
There will be three cases filed in the morning. I promise you.
>> Yes or no? Do you want to go >> Let's go. Let's go to the cage, the jail, wherever we're going. I need to make a call. I get one call. I know that much.
Okay.
I get one call. I know that much. How are you two people doing?
Do you want to go with him? You have something or no? Well, I I'm just >> Do you have any charges for this? No.
No.
Resisting aggravated battery. I I resisted because you gave me no reason.
YOU CANNOT SEARCH ME OR TAKE MY HAND WITH GIVING ME NO REASON. SO, THAT YOU HAVE a case for.
And it wasn't aggravated assault. IT'S CALLED DEFENDING MYSELF WHEN I feel that I'm in harm's way. And that's the situation that you put me in because I thought I was coming for an interview.
And now I'm in handcuffs without a phone. All right, pat her down. I'll search her right now. Why would you lie to me?
>> I didn't lie to you. You did lie to me.
>> I did not lie to you.
You told me he was here when we got here. You told me I was doing an interview and you would take me home.
Why are you treating me like I'm a criminal? There was a fire at my house.
Correct. And that's what you were here for the interview. YOU SAID >> YES. SO, stop yelling, okay? I'm going to talk to you. You said you were here for an interview.
>> Right. Our detectives coming in from Bloomington. I don't know how long it takes them to get here. I get you.
>> I WASN'T MAD at you. I told you that.
>> that. You said you didn't no longer want to do that interview, right?
>> No, cuz I'm tired. I thought I won't be of much help right now.
>> So, that's why you went to the lobby. I was going to take you home. Right.
>> At that point, the officer wanted your phone to use. You didn't say that. You said he wanted my phone conversation.
You didn't give me that specific reason, ma'am. Cuz you were yelling at me for about 5 minutes. So, I told >> Because you I wasn't understanding and I'm asking you the same question.
I asked you the same question multiple times and you did not answer me. Put your hands in. You didn't answer me one time. Does that not even matter to you when I'm sitting here talking to you?
>> I tried to talk to you and reason with you.
>> You weren't reasoning with me.
>> And you were just yelling.
>> just telling ME AND I'M ASKING you questions like A HUMAN BEING AND YOU'RE SMILING. This is funny to you?
Okay, Taylor.
Step out for me.
I'm going to grab your I'm going to grab it.
The suspect was charged with two counts of aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer. Following the incident, she filed a federal lawsuit against Normal Police alleging excessive force. The case remains ongoing with the next hearing scheduled for August of this year. If you enjoyed this video, leave a like and be sure to subscribe for more body cam footage daily.
All right, guys. Yes, that was the channel Uncovered.
They They They do really good stuff. So, uh that was the start of me deciding, there is more to this story and I must know it cuz what when you watch the video, all you hear is there was a fire. You don't know anything about the context or, you know, what was going on. Here's what I ran into. This This is the difficult thing.
This fire happened in 2023.
And unfortunately, we we're kind of going through a little bit of an issue with the media demonizing our police force and trying to destroy our communities by propping up the perpetrators of crimes and making them seem like the victims.
So, the news reports that I found were all painting her as this innocent college student that was just manhandled and it was excessive force by the normal police officers.
No. We all saw that video and anybody who watches that video and looks at it and goes, "How dare they be so mean to her? She was being such a perfect little angel."
They're out their minds.
Seriously, you can't watch that video and think that she's just this innocent child that needed protection from the mean police officers. No. No, she is a grown young adult.
And I stress the young adult part cuz she still acts like a freaking child and has absolutely zero emotional regulation, which is why these charges or the alleged the accusations against her are incredible.
Do I think that that woman has the emotional regulation not to break into a locked room and set fire over a domestic dispute? Mm. Mm, let me think about this one. Ooh, that's That's a toughy.
That's a toughy.
Uh so, what I did find on this do do do do do Aw.
Kicked me out.
Mm.
I got to I got to pull her case back up.
Um It was Just a moment here.
And Here we go.
So, while I am showing this um I won't be able to see chat. Wait. Oh, wait. Wait, wait, wait, wait.
Mm, I forgot I learned a trick. Hold on.
Let me do that.
Okay.
Oh.
Yep, no. That's the way I want it. All right.
And I put this one here.
I go shrinkity ding ding dink doodles.
There we go.
Now I can I think there's a way that I can make this one stay on top.
Uh isn't there?
No.
Wait.
Get back here. Go back here. Where'd you go?
How do I make a browser page stay on top?
I know, me too, Charlie. But that's not Move it to the top order.
Of what?
Of what?
The real McCoy.
Aw, thank you.
No, I'm not using OBS. I I am not smart enough for OBS. I've had this conversation with people many times. I use StreamYard because I'm a big dummy.
And StreamYard is very simplistic for people like me.
In a firm voice you say stay. No, I'm going to just minimize the other one or not minimize, but I'm going to shrink the other one so that I just I have access to both.
There we go. And now I you know, there.
That That were Whoa, that's not what I wanted to do. Wow, I just learned a new trick there.
Um All right.
Got it.
NOW I GOT IT.
I'LL LEARN IT ANOTHER DAY. I'LL I'LL CHAT GPT IT.
AW.
I really appreciate that, The Real McCoy. Manny offered me help, too, and I'm I told him that it would be um at his own peril.
I I'm I'm really dumb.
I tried to use it before. I have it. I have OBS.
I mean, at the price of StreamYard, golly, I should be using something else, but I'm just not there yet. I I haven't learned it.
I Maybe maybe I will someday. I've watched videos and they're like, "Oh, it's so easy. You can set it up in 5 minutes." And an hour and a half later, I'm like, "SCREW THIS."
STREAMYARD IS JUST PLUG AND PLAY.
AW, THANK YOU.
All right. So, we're going to go to uh and I do appreciate that, The Real McCoy. Uh hit me up on Discord or or something. I I don't know how to contact you otherwise.
Um All right. So, we have Let me see.
Can I zoom this in? I can't see how big it is for you guys.
She said.
Um Zoom.
There we go. All right, so she got aggravated battery of a of a peace officer. It was It was filed.
And so there's two counts of that.
Uh apparently they did not file the obstruction charges or anything else. It was just two counts of aggravated battery of a peace officer.
But there there's no sentencing information available. This was that That's odd.
That's quite unique. Why would they Why would they not have any sentencing information? I asked myself.
Um and here is So, this is one of one of the articles that I found that seemed See what I mean?
Violently seized her phone.
And and oh oh she was going to seek help for the fire. See what I mean about the biased media?
They're painting her out to be the victim.
According to the lawsuit, a fire erupted in Brown's apartment on February 8th in Normal, Illinois, where Brown attends college. Oh, she's one of them educated type.
The student's roommate dialed 911 and the fire department arrived at the unit located near Park Trail Road with the police around 12:42 a.m.
Brown was asked to go with the to the police department for questioning, to which she agreed.
She went willingly.
Upon arrival, the police officers who responded to the call with the fire uh with the fire officials asked Ms. Brown to wait in a squad car that was parked in front of her residence until the officers were ready to speak to her.
I'm just making sure that uh Oh my, I got to Okay. I just wanted to make sure that y'all could see it cuz I the part where I could see me was blocked.
Um Shortly thereafter, an unknown Normal police officer asked Ms. Brown if she'd be willing to go to the police station and answer questions about the fire. She knew what it was about. She's acting like this was some big giant mystery.
You're not under arrest, but the phone's going to be seized. We saw all of this, all right? We saw all of that.
The cause of the fire was determined to have started in a garden-level apartment due to repairs being done in a unit. The fire spread inside the walls and void spaces and extended into the attic before the fire department arrived. That spread quickly.
That did some damage.
Brown hired an attorney, Abby Bakos, and uh Bakos and Myer Law Group, who said the Normal PD officers illegally seized her phone. They did not.
There was a concern that she could destroy evidence. They had to prevent that. Now, could they have explained that to her? Sure.
But they're under no obligation to do so.
All she needs know is there's an investigation and her phone is evidence now. That's it.
And she should hand it over.
Uh so her attorney is stating that these police officers what they did to her was just unfortunate and wrong without having that initial probable cause. They had it. We already knew she wasn't initially under arrest. No, because they were conducting an investigation.
Um of course, her mother said her daughter was traumatized by the experience.
Yes.
I'm sure her roommate was traumatized by the house being set on fire.
So Let me get down to This is just repeating stuff now.
I'm wondering why the treatment I was given was received. I want to take all those emotions and turn it into something I can look back on and say this is what happened to me, but this is what came out of it and that's just something I want to be proud of myself to be able to do.
Guess what guys? She actually did file that federal lawsuit.
She did.
Let me get to that page.
atlantablackstar.com covered this story pretty thoroughly, pretty extensively.
I'm just Now, I'm just waiting for it to load.
She eventually uh in April. Now, fire was in February, remember? In April uh at the following year Aw.
Aw, wait a minute.
Oh, nope. It It It was in Okay.
It was in 2024.
Oh, fire was in January, looks like.
Okay.
So, in April she's finally arrested for the aggravated battery on the law enforcement officers.
This she was released with no bond initially.
And she filed a federal rights lawsuit immediately.
So, almost nothing has been reported the whole reason Brown was at the police department in the first place ever. It goes on to explain the fire.
uh Her roommate stating that it started over a domestic dispute.
After nearly a year of relative silence regarding the case, Brown was charged with two counts of aggravated battery of a police officer on January 17th, 2024.
Okay, so the fire was in 2023.
Charges didn't happen till 2024.
Charges were filed by Tom Brown of the office of the Illinois State's Attorney Appellate Prosecutor.
He was assigned to the case after the McLean County State's Attorney Office recused itself for unknown conflicts of interest.
Could have been for any reason. We don't know why.
But things quickly went from bad to worse for Ms. Brown. The civil rights attorneys who initially filed her civil rights lawsuit both filed motions to withdraw.
That's interesting.
Both her attorneys jumped ship on her.
That could be for one because she has no actual legal case.
Or two, maybe she was just hell to work with.
Maybe there was just personality differences.
So she failed to appear in both hearings. Shocking.
Not taking the court proceedings seriously.
So a bench warrant was issued.
Judge Scott Black granted the request for the bench warrant and issued it.
Prosecutor Brown declined to comment on the case to Agitating Rising.
In Peoria. Oh.
Hi, buddy.
Earl's here.
Uh In Peoria Magistrate Judge Jonathan E.
Holly which pretty sure I've actually seen that judge before.
Granted the motion to withdraw by the attorneys.
Both attorneys stated they did not know Brown's current location. Brown was initially given 14 days to respond with new counsel, otherwise her civil case would be dismissed in federal court.
This was later extended to April 19th, 2024.
Social media posts by Brown indicated that she was in Atlanta attending Paul Mitchell Beauty School.
Two days before her civil case was to be dismissed, a new attorney stepped forward to represent her at her civil trial.
Jonathan Lovey filed a notice of appearance on April 17th, 2024 in a concurrent motion for miscellaneous relief.
Plaintiff Taylor Brown was arrested in Atlanta, where she lived and where she lived at the time of the last court appearance that she missed.
After being arrested, plaintiff waived extradition in late March, but remains jailed while she waits for the normal defendants to come pick her up and bring her back to Illinois.
Because Brown was incarcerated waiting extradition, Lovey said he had to yet to speak with Brown. So, he took this case before he knew what he was getting into.
Lovey had only spoken with Brown's mom.
You know, uh the mom of the traumatized innocent sweet child who did nothing wrong and has perfect emotional balance and regulation and mental health stability.
So, she was returned to McLean County, briefly incarcerated, and then appeared in court. The court granted pretrial release with her only restriction being that she cannot leave the state pending trial.
Her next court date for her criminal case was set for July 3rd, 2024.
The next status conference for her civil case is May 5th, 2024 10:00 a.m.
She's not been charged with arson at this time, and she's innocent until proven guilty.
True.
So, she had previously been a student at Paul Mitchell Beauty School of Normal, Illinois in 2022, though she was not a student at the time of the fire at her residence and her subsequent arrest for battery on police officers.
Her roommate, Ashanti's Davis, claims Brown was suspended from the beauty school and was not enrolled anywhere at the time of the fire.
So, then they did an update.
I love these rabbit holes.
So, her criminal case continued to advance through multiple pretrial hearings.
Lyon requested the court to modify Brown's pretrial release so she could return to Georgia.
Said her client's education had been interrupted due to being arrested and held for several weeks awaiting extradition.
Brown argued against the request.
The prosecutor is also has the last name Brown, no relation.
Said it took nearly 3 months to locate her at great cost to the public.
And when she was indicted back in January, normal police officers attempted to notify her at her last known address in the town of Normal.
However, she no longer lived there. It's not clear why no one reached out to her Chicago police detective mother.
Oh, that's right. Another layer of this onion. Her mother is a Chicago police detective.
To find Ms. Brown's location.
Wow.
You You just You can't write this [ __ ] You can't write this [ __ ] You can't make this up.
After hearing arguments that not appearing at the arraignment was a legitimate accident, Judge McFarland granted the request to modify pretrial release if Ms. Brown was willing to waive extradition, which she did.
Brown's defense attorney filed a motion for specific discovery regarding vindictive prosecution.
The motion asserts that Ms. Brown is being charged because she filed a civil suit against the officers who arrested her. So, a motion for specific discovery regarding vindictive prosecution is essentially a fishing expedition of a motion.
It's I don't know what evidence exists, but whatever you can find, you have to send it to me.
Is essentially what that motion means.
So, uh this goes on and tell it retells the same story again. TLDR catching everybody up.
Um This is Okay, so Despite being arrested for resisting for resisting arrest and battery of police officer, she was later released from jail with no bond and no charges.
Normal police attempted to obtain a search warrant to retroactively legalize their unwarranted seizure of her phone, but the warrant was not approved by McLean County State's Attorney. That's not ac- well, the fact that it was not approved is not accurate.
Um the trying to get a retroactive legalization of their unwarranted seizure, that's BS. We already went over the reasons.
It was later her phone was later returned to her. But even more suspicious, McLean County State's Attorney later recused itself from the from the case citing unknown conflicts of interest. That's not suspicious.
It could have been her mother's a detective. They could have worked cases together or you know, he was the prosecutor for or you know, the State's Attorney. The It could have been regarding any case that he's ever handled that she was even remotely linked to.
He didn't feel comfortable being the voice that tried this case. That's not suspicious at all.
The McLean County State's Attorney and the State Appellate Prosecutor's Office.
Uh The motion for discovery requests all communications between normal police officers, the State's Attorney, and the State Appellate Prosecutor's There's That's There's got to be request for discu- What?
I don't think that you can get communications between um unless they're if That just doesn't sound right.
That doesn't sound right at all.
It requests any internal memorandum regarding issues of liability and all information which might be exculpatory in that it would support a motion to dismiss for prosecutorial vindictiveness. Basically, a please tell on yourself motion.
So [ __ ] stupid.
This is so stupid.
I'm like internally screaming here.
After Ms. Brown filed a civil rights case against Normal Police Department, there was much grandstanding by her lawyers regarding the incident and much debate about the legality of warrantless seizure of her phone.
However, almost nothing has been reported on the whole reason blah blah blah, we went over that.
It's like they copy and pasted a lot of [ __ ] Oh, this is fun.
After her most recent criminal pretrial hearing on September 5th, '24, Agitation Rising attempted to interview Ms. Brown outside the McLean County Law and Justice Center regarding her criminal and civil cases and the allegations made against her by her former roommate. She declined to comment. She is this gem beauty right here.
Pretty young lady.
Ms. Brown.
Ms. Brown, I have a couple questions if I could ask you.
How do you think these criminal charges are going to affect your civil case at all?
Uh your former roommate accused you of setting your house on fire. Do you have any comment?
Did you set your house on fire?
Is there a reason that you broke into your roommate's locked bedroom that night?
Aw, she didn't want to talk.
She had so much to say when they were trying to get her phone.
Her civil case has been permanently stayed awaiting the outcome of her criminal case.
So, her civil case was put on hold.
It could not move forward until her criminal case was decided and we all know the court moves slowly.
Two days before her civil case was about to be be dismissed, her lawyer filed a notice of appearance.
Da da da, next date was supposed to be November 12th.
Uh all right.
Let's see.
This is the McLean County government page regarding Taylor Brown.
Born in 2004, there were like four or four or five Taylor Browns to choose from. This one puts her at the correct age for everything, right?
And this is this is what I found interesting about all of this.
These are These are all of the status hearings, pre-trial motions, everything like that that we see every day, right?
But this one right here, at the end of it all, it didn't go to trial.
Just says vacated.
Here's what I believe happened.
I might be wrong, and there's no way to know if I'm correct.
I believe she got deferred prosecution.
First-time offender, battery on a law enforcement really is not taken seriously in Illinois.
I mean, you may as well spit your gum out on the sidewalk.
It it's not taken seriously.
So, I believe she got deferred prosecution.
And for whatever length of time, she had to be good little girl, and then it was it was vacated.
The only time that this is vacated is if the charges are dismissed or they they've gone through some type of diversion program.
Um Well, no, Eileen, it's not All of this, yes. All of this is because the cop tried to take her phone, yes.
But I mean, really, all of this is because she broke into a locked room, allegedly, and that locked room that she broke into just happened to burst into flames.
It's funny how that happens.
I I'm always putting fires out around here. Random [ __ ] just going up in flames.
Ain't that right, Ava?
Ava, come on.
So, then then we go on to learn about her civil case.
Cuz I'm not done.
I'm not done. I'm not done.
Oh, let's see here.
This This is her civil case.
It's still going. Of course, it got paused. It did get paused.
Parties are Oh, that's that's an entire docket.
Uh, let's see here.
Brown Oh, here we go. Brown v. Unknown normal police officers.
And she filed it in February 2023, but then it got stayed for a long period of time.
This is every every court action and everything that has gone on. I'm going to put I'm going to put the link to this stuff in the description. So, if you guys all want to go back through and and read some of this stuff, but um Let's see here. Text order. This case is set for a rule 16 scheduling conference before Judge Holly.
Uh counselor are to phone in to the conference.
Um And that's just basically lawyer instructions.
So, yeah. The The bottom line of all of this is her Now that her criminal case is over, her civil case is now moving forward in the courts with a next hearing date set.
The status reports are due by August 26th.
in 3 months And so, yes. Mortimer Duke asked earlier, "Does she really think she's going to win when she was fighting with the police?"
Yes.
Because she thinks she's going to win this civil case because the oh-so-violent police officers pinned her to the ground and took her phone from her.
Guys, I This to me is just it's a cut-and-dry case that she has no case.
I'm not a lawyer, but I I have seen I I I I went through and I looked up a lot of the illegal analysis things regarding this case and and the different uh um case notes and stuff and and and I spent a lot of time on this.
Couldn't sleep. MY LEGS HURT.
WHAT WAS WHAT ELSE WAS I GOING TO DO?
I was I was going to I was going to edit that into a body cam video and then and then I started doing the rabbit hole thing and I'm like that's that's too much and and it's so hard to be able to cohesively present all of that in in terms of a body cam video.
So, I just figured it was better off destined for a live stream.
Hi, Earl.
You're psycho.
Meow, meow. You got to go potty or something?
What? Oh, guys, I got to take Ava out.
I don't have anything to play for you guys and I'm I'm afraid if I leave the room Earl's going to stop being crazy and and follow me.
Um I know.
Oh, trust me. I told you I was internal internally screaming.
There's something going on in Washington with Ozempic drug mochi with production in non-sterile room, shipped with outer packs for ice, contaminants floating. Ew.
Dr. Ahmad Nadim, MD.
What?
Considering how much people pay for those drugs, like an acquaintance of mine is on it. I I don't know if he's on that specific He says he's on It's not Ozempic because there's RLGP1 and and then there's like an RLGP2, which has a second component to it. So, it attacks your brain on two different platforms. And that's the one that he's on, and I don't know if that's the same thing. And I don't even know if I'm getting the RLGP thing right. I I might be wrong on that. Don't quote me on that. Uh I've I've not I've not looked into it.
Um but that's the one he's on, and he's losing a significant amount of weight, but he said that one of the things that he is struggling with is he's has to force himself to eat.
Like he had a can of sardines, and he said that was going to be the only thing that he ate all day.
And he just he has absolutely zero desire to eat whatsoever.
And that's why you're seeing so many of the actors and actresses and famous people that have the Ozempic face is what they're calling it.
They're literally starving.
They they are starving themselves to death.
And they get to a point where the drug is supposed to be a maintenance dose.
And these doctors are leaving people on a dose that is that is forcing them not to eat for days.
So, and they pay he well so Now, I don't know if I don't I don't know if it's the same everywhere, but for the one that he's on, he said that he had to get on this program that if you buy it in blocks where you 100% guarantee you're taking this medication for this amount of time, and then he gets it for like $800 per month.
If he doesn't get the script renewed in time or if, you know, if he chooses to go off and then go back on, once he skips that block, then it goes up to 3,600 bucks for a month.
And I'm like, oh, yes, you don't want to you don't want to take that little break or anything.
But, I mean the the Fortunately, the the man has been blessed in his profession, and uh so he um he's able to afford to do something like that.
And yeah, I know I know I know I know I know. All right.
Um I'm going to I'm going to put the paw paw tower on the screen by itself for a minute. I'm going to take Ava out cuz she's a she dancing and tooting. So, I'll be right back, guys.
No.
They We're talking Ozempic and all of its cohorts. All right, I'll be right back.
>> Mhm.
>> Sorry about that, guys.
It's uh yeah.
I was actually surprised to uh to see Hold on.
There we go.
I was surprised to see the lightning out there. Um but as you can tell, it's kind of raining a little bit.
Yeah, we've been really fortunate over the past couple days not to have gotten the big storms everybody's been warning me about.
Appreciate you guys uh watching the cat tower for a bit. Um Ava appreciates it, too, I'm sure.
Oh, hi, baby. Hi.
Yeah, what's up? You want to tell the world how happy you are?
And say, "Thank you for not making me stay out there."
Yeah, it's not thundering yet. And that's that's what always triggers her.
But uh aw.
Who's a good good girl?
You're such a good girl.
I'm so proud of you.
So proud of you.
Oh, Billy, they're not for you, buddy.
They're not for you, but but you have been good boy.
You've been a very good boy.
And Earl's just finishing up with Zoom Zooms.
Here you go, good boy.
Here you go, Earl.
Where's my Snitch? Snitch.
Here you go, baby. Why don't you come get yours over here?
Come here, Snitch.
Good boy.
Here's your good boy.
I love you.
Yeah, Earl, you can have them. They're all yours.
That's okay, they're yours. No, Billy, you had yours. You can't have Earl's.
Oh my goodness, you guys.
Says who?
They walk amongst us.
Just ask Dark Zoomy, he'll tell you.
I have tried the Thunder Vest. Oh, it didn't go well.
Um there's a lot of Velcro on those.
And uh yeah, yeah, it got it got really gross.
And I washed it and it was not wearable again.
So, um yeah, we tried it. We tried Thunder Vest and she hated it. She hated it totally.
They're very picky children around here.
She did have a harness when I first started streaming.
She had a pink harness. She absolutely loved it.
I think it was Nesco brand or something like that.
Yeah.
What Earl said.
Uh but um eventually eventually got ripped to shreds.
And I don't I haven't been able to find one that she approves of since.
Frisco, Frisco brand.
Not Nesquik.
What's up, baby girl?
What's up?
Should we go in the door and show everybody you can dance?
Yeah, I don't even got I know I know you know how to dance. Let's show everybody.
I wish I had a better Oh, you know what I could do?
Excuse me, ma'am. Excuse me.
Excuse me, ma'am.
Here.
Come over here, Eva.
Yeah, show everybody you can dance.
Dance. That's such a good dance. It's such a good dance. Mhm, you can see it's a good girl.
Oh, she's so good.
Hours of entertainment with that one.
All right, baby.
Eyes may hands and little boy with treats all over his face.
I I see those little treat sparkles.
Oh, that's really cool.
That's really cool, Real McCoy.
Yeah, I don't know what to think about UFOs.
Do I am I so smug to think that we're the only life forms? Absolutely not.
Do I think that they have come here? I don't know.
They sure haven't shaken my hand, so I just don't know.
And I don't believe I don't believe media and I don't believe the government.
Not for 2 minutes.
I think everything um Yeah, I I I think there's a lot of incentive for people to make fake videos.
And I think there's a lot of it mental illness that has come from the abductions that have happened, you know, um I think a lot of that is rooted in attention seeking and money grabs. And you don't know who you can trust. So, it it's just one of those things. Until an alien comes and shakes my hand and introduces themselves to me, I'm just I'm just going to say that it's possible, but there's no specific evidence of it.
Penny.
Aw, purple cave.
Yeah.
The ladder might happen first, you know.
I know, Mortimer Duke. That's what I'm talking about. That's what I'm talking about. With the whole mental illness thing.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. I try I try not to discuss political stuff around here just because it is so divisive and people argue so much about it. Um but yes, the the government and the media I I think the government is more transparent now than it's ever been uh in a a of respects, but um I think the overall arching trend of history has has been tell them what we want them to know, whether it's the truth or not.
Most stuff we've seen out there since the 50s was other governments or us.
Yeah, I I yeah, I truly truly believe that.
weirdos in Mount Shasta How many weirdos in Mount Shasta have been anal probed?
No, no, I don't WANT TO KNOW.
OH MY GOODNESS, you guys. You guys are so hilarious.
Um now I'm going to have to work aliens into the Paquiem videos somehow. Turn Eva into an alien.
Actually, maybe that's a role better suited for Mr. Snitch here.
Mr. Snitch, want to be an alien?
No? No, you don't want to fly a UFO?
Hi Eva. Oh my gosh, did I touch a cat?
Yes, did I did I touch a cat without touching Eva?
Lord knows I just committed a cardinal sin.
Oh, you farted, you jerk. You jerk.
You're the one.
I laid down earlier for a nap, okay?
I I woke up to the most wretched smell.
And I'm not I'm not one to immediately blame my animals.
So I thought it was me and I'm like I'm like, "Oh my god, I did that. I need to see a doctor."
No.
A little while later I learned it wasn't me.
It was Snitch.
And now Ava My whole house is going to smell like animal ass.
It's all you guys.
It's not me. It's all you guys.
I know. Why are aliens interested in our booty?
Of all things.
Oh.
All right, guys.
I unfortunately I have to scoop cat boxes now. And tomorrow I get to go get my boobs squished in a giant magnet machine. So fun stuff, right?
Oh. Oh, Penny. Oh.
I So Febreze is good. I've used Febreze a lot around here, but uh this stuff, Poof.
Poof.
This stuff is actually really really good at removing animal odors. It's it's enzymatic, so it it eliminates the animal smells.
And I I am not sponsored by Poof.
But you can get it at Walmart and it really works. Especially on like cat messes.
Um this is another good one for dog messes.
Uh Roxy Rocco and Roxy. This one works for dog messes really well.
It yeah.
So I am I am a veteran of of removing smell from MY HOUSE.
AND WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS, THERE'S A company in town called Steam Away.
And for like 250 bucks, they'll come and do a room.
So Cumin and parsley powder, no more stink.
But what ABOUT THE CATS?
OH, YEAH, TRY THE POOPH. DEFINITELY. It So this is how good Pooph works, right?
So the cat litter boxes just naturally absorb that ammonia smell, right?
Every I don't know, like 4 months-ish.
Um basically every seasonal rotation, I will empty every litter box in the house and I'll wash them. They will still smell like cat pee.
I'll take the Pooph. I'll I'll put I'll put the litter box outside and I'll spray it with the Pooph and like just let it dry in the sun and there's no smell.
There's no residual film. There's no smell. There's nothing.
It It will remove the cat urine odor smell from the litter box plastic linings. So, if that says anything.
Cuz that's a tough smell to get out of plastic.
So, yeah. Yeah, I'm I'm a big, big fan of it.
Um this is my second or third bottle now. So, good stuff. Good stuff.
Tylenol and keep my feet wide as so my shoulders can't. I did something um So, I've got a Sleep Number bed and I've I haven't I haven't found my number yet, right? I've been toggling in the 35 to 55 range this whole time.
I put it up to 100.
I put it up to 100.
And I think I slept better than I've ever slept before on that thing.
I was really shocked cuz I hate firm beds. I do.
I hate firm beds.
But, I hate firm spring beds, I guess.
Because the the Sleep Number that the air pressure, you're still And the other thing is is in the Sleep Number, you lay there and after I don't know, a minute or two, you'll hear the compressor thingy kick on and it'll let out some of the air and you'll you'll slightly sink into the mattress and and it you can actually feel your muscles and all of the tension just peeling away from your body as the air is coming out of the mattress. It is insane.
Um So, I I I wait for that. I get in and I just lie there and I wait for that that sound, the doonk and I and then I can just feel all of the tensions releasing as it decompresses.
And then doonk doonk and it stops.
And you know, after the after the first doonk all of the animals like scatter off the bed like, you know, something's happening. They're they're calming down now with it cuz it's been a while. I've had the bed now for a while.
Um and they're they're finally getting used to it, but I think uh I think I'm going to try 90, but I'm I'm definitely shocked that the higher numbers are more comfortable for me, especially considering my spinal injury.
So, Alyssa Panette, um yeah, it is.
Um but so, they have two different styles really. I mean, they've got they've got essentially two um You can either get it with a topper or you can get it uh where it doesn't have the topper.
So, and and it it's specific specific styles in the mattress. I laid on the one with the topper and I hated it.
Absolutely and I thought I was like, when I walked in there I'm like, yeah, I'm going to get that 12-in mattress on top, you know, no.
They They have you lie in the bed and uh they'll they'll show you your pressure point map on on a screen. You can actually see the red zones of where the pain points are.
And then they'll and they start out at 100 and then you see as the decompression of the mattress is happening, you're seeing those pressure points specifically relieving and you can feel them at the same time as they're as as the pressure's coming off of them.
I had to get a Sleep Number. I did It was to the point I didn't have a choice.
Um with with the spine injury and the constant changing of my needs, every single day is different. And how my spine is pinched off is is different and I can't predict it.
And I I needed a a bed that one day I could be at 100 and one day I could be at 40 for the firmness. But the It It does have an auto adjust feature where if it realizes that you're not that you that you have a lot more pressure points than than you're supposed to, it will automatically adjust.
The other thing that it does it it tracks your heart rate while you're sleeping and alerts you to any abnormalities.
Uh not last night but the night before, I think it was.
I had an asthma attack shortly before bed and I had to use my inhalers.
I woke up to a message that said, "Your heart rate last night was significantly higher than other nights.
You know, don't be overly concerned.
Just, you know, keep an eye on it.
I'm trying to I'm trying to see.
Um, it also gives you a kind of a grading scale. It tells you each night how well you slept.
I am uh I I have not yet reached a a healthy goal of sleep. Uh, I I because I only get a couple of hours at a time and it doesn't know how to react to that.
But, I'm trying to find where it gave me that message.
Um, see it it keeps track of your your bio signals and your circadian rhythm.
Um, if you snore, it can automatically adjust the bed if you have it set for that.
Um, and then it tells you it creates this map of what a healthy day of activities would look like for you based on your circadian rhythm.
Um, uh, apparently I I should my ideal wake up time would be 8:30 to 9:30.
I should work out between 1:30 to 2:30.
I am most alert between 3:30 to 4:30.
I'm not.
But, maybe if I worked out at 1:30 to 2:30, I maybe I would be.
Maybe. Um, and then dinner would be 10:00 to 11:00 p.m. wind down midnight to 2:00 a.m. and the ideal bedtime is 2:00 to 3:00 a.m.
So, um I mean, maybe I I don't know. I'm not sure. I'm not sure I'm ready to adjust my sleep schedule.
They're currently my Well, and and that's the thing. I can't plan my sleep schedule. I sleep when I'm tired.
Um sometimes I have to force myself to just lie there awake, you know, because of the pain and waiting for the pain medicine to kick in.
So, I don't exactly get to choose it.
Did you throw a rock at my window, [ __ ] I'm just assuming it was my neighbor.
Who's out there?
All right, fine. Play hard to get.
I have no idea, Eileen. I All of a sudden I heard a a ding on my frame.
I have no idea what it was.
Oh.
Ah.
I I've never been prescribed that, Rue McCoy.
Um Ouch.
Owie, owie.
How long ago was the pit bull thing?
I'm assuming it was a rock purple kid. I don't know.
Oh, it's a natural herb. I've never heard of it.
Jerry, Jerry, I would NOT BE SURPRISED.
OH MY GOSH, is your girl okay?
That's crazy.
I've got a I've got a scar on my leg that's um I I call it I call it my Sasha tattoo.
Because there was a a husky, a very temperamental husky, purebred, inbred husky.
And it was the beloved prize of my boyfriend's mother.
And no matter how vicious and violent this dog was, she wouldn't get rid of it or anything. It was her baby.
So, one day my boyfriend's mom had a man over at the house and they were locked in another room and Sasha was very on edge about this.
And she went to get my daughter and I jumped in front of her and I have you can still see on the scar from where the bottom teeth were and where the top teeth were and the entire length of the way that until she until it got to the point of where she you know she had just skin in her mouth. So, it's this long mark and then a break and then another mark.
Yeah, and she she Yep, it's that dog's probably still her baby today.
However, her son is not my baby anymore.
Oh, no, Purple Cave. I totally understand. I I I need to go, too, cuz I've I've got that appointment tomorrow.
Oh my gosh, eight stitches on her head.
I am so sorry that you went through that.
Oh my gosh. Yeah, everybody go check it out.
If you want, go ahead and throw the link in the Discord. We'll we'll go in there and take a look at it.
All right, everybody.
You know I hate to go, too, but I I have to. I got kitty boxes. I got a scoop.
I DON'T WANT TO.
OH, JERRY.
T-Rex already her son already sent me a picture with that. Or else T-Rex sent me a picture of her son. He did a a a free mammogram Halloween costume of of his head in this um silver-lined box and then, you know, a a cutout with the place boobs here sign. It was hilarious. It was it was hilarious.
Um So, The Real McCoy, you can't put the link here cuz you're not a mod. It won't show. Sorry.
You'll have to throw it in the Discord.
Um only only links posted by mods. It'll It'll look like it posted, but it really doesn't post. So, I'm I'm sorry. Only only mods have the ability to post links.
So, you'll have to throw it in the Discord. So.
Um can one of the mods do me a big big big big big big big favor and throw the Discord link up for me?
Please please I love you.
It is It's in the description of the channel. It's in the um There's a There's a link tree link and that has that has the Discord and it all everything else for the channel. So. Um but Jerry's getting it. Jerry's getting it.
Jerry's Jerry's the Discord king around here. There you go, Manny. You got it first. Thank you, Manny.
All right, you guys. Thank you guys so much for tonight. Thank you for every night. I am so blessed to have all of you in my life.
