So, Meta is being sued again. Earlier this month, Santa Clara County and California sued Meta for allegedly profiting off of ads promoting scams, which violates California's false advertising laws. This all stems from a leaked document that Meta knowingly allowed scam ads on their platform and even protected them from being blocked so as to not lose too much money. The lawsuit alleges that Meta made $7 billion from these fraudulent ads. We'll be keeping an eye on this.
