Breathing in those particles is the most common way people catch the infection. That is why haunt virus outbreaks are usually linked to forests, campsites, remote areas, or poorly ventilated buildings. Cruise ships are considered extremely unusual settings for haunt virus outbreaks because they maintain strict sanitation and pest control systems.
