TerraMow V1000 Review: The "Pure Vision" Robot Mower That Actually Works?

[00:00:00]Hi, I'm Mark from easylarmmowing.co.uk and this is the Terrammo V1000 robotic lawn mower. In this video, I'm going to go over all its features and functions.

[00:00:09]I'm going to get it set up and I'm going to test it out and go over the pros and cons. By the end of this video review, you'll know whether this is the right robotic lawn mower for you and your lawn.

[00:00:24]So, before we take a closer look at this robotic mower from Terramo, we need to get it unboxed. Let's do that now. Let's see what comes supplied with this kit as standard before we go out and test this robotic mower out and see how well it performs. Okay, so let's get it unboxed.

[00:00:38]Let's jump in and take a closer look.

[00:00:45]Okay, so I've got my Terramo uh robotic mower unboxed now. So, naturally, you're going to get the mower itself, and I will be telling you all about this robotic mower in the specification. So mower itself, you also get a garage included with this one, which is really fantastic with a really good roof on that. You can see there that that really extends out over the whole of the mower and that's going to keep all of the dirt, anything that's coming down from trees like sap. So my robotic mower that I have in my uh garden at the moment, it's just literally covered in sap. But that garage is going to help protect your robotic mower, which is really nice. So that roof needs to be assembled on here, but I will show you how to do that. And that really is all the assembly that is required. You get your power supply here and you get a really long lead. I will measure that so that you know how long that you you actually have. You get a spare set of blades. You get nine blades provided with this. So this holds three. This has three blades on it on the deck as you can see underneath there. So nine additional blades provided with the screws as well.

[00:01:45]Really nice that they're included. You get your ground screws here for pegging this down onto your grass if that's where you're going to have it. You get your screws here for screwing the lid to the actual charging base itself. And you get your user guide and your quick start guide here as well, which is really nice. There's lots of pictures in there.

[00:02:03]Very, very helpful and going to make this super easy to set up. So, what is missing from here? Well, the first thing you'll notice what is missing first of all is no RTK station. So, this isn't guided by RTK. Is guided by this tri vision camera on the front here. And it's going to be super interesting to see how well this works because it takes away all the complexities of say putting a perimeter wire down. I think those days have gone now, but then you're on to RTK and that kind of thing, satellite signals and putting receivers up on the side of your house. This is eliminates all of that need. It is purely driven on the camera. You can connect to it over 4G and Wi-Fi, but again, that is purely for control, foruling, monitoring the mower. Um, so really should be super simple to set up. But does it work? Does it work as well as uh GPS guided or liar guided robotic mowers? Well, that's what we're going to be testing out here. I do know that for a camerag guided robotic mower, it does mow in straight lines, which is absolutely fantastic because there are other cameraguided robotic mowers out there, but they bounce around your lawn randomly. They detect the side of the lawn or the boundary, they stop, and they bounce off in the other direction. This one is supposed to mow systematically in those straight lines, which is more efficient. Get those nice lawn stripes as well. So, on paper, this looks absolutely fantastic. But what we're going to do today is going to get it assembled. I'm going to set it up, and I'm going to show you how well it works. Okay, so that's essentially what you get supplied in the kit with this robotic mower.

[00:04:00]So, before we go and set this mower up and test it out, I just want to go over the specifications of it just so that you know exactly what you're getting.

[00:04:07]You know, what is the navigation? What what are the run times? What do you need in order for this to work in your back garden or your backyard? Okay, so this is the Terramote. It's the V1000.

[00:04:19]Uh, and that means it's going to cover 1,200 square meters or 13,000 square ft.

[00:04:25]So, really good coverage for a vision only uh, robotic mower. There is a 600, a V600 model of this mower as well, and that covers 600 m, but this particular one, the 1000, covers 1,200 m in terms of its navigation. So, let's get that out of the way first because that is what robotic mowing is all about. And whether or not this is going to work well in your environment really depends down on the navigation. So, there's lots of different navigations available.

[00:04:53]There's liar, there's RTK, which is GPS guided, and there's camera guided. And I'll be honest with you, when I first realized that this was a camera only guided robotic mower, I was very reluctant reluctant to try it out because my experience of robotic mowers that just have a vision AI vision camera hasn't been great. They've been bouncing around your lawn randomly. They don't mow systematically, which isn't efficient, and you're just hoping at some point it's going to cover your entire lawn. The other thing that um with vision only robotic mowers was the fact that they don't go up to the edge.

[00:05:27]They leave about 10 cm minimum around the edge of your lawn. So, there's some trimming to do as well. Uh the other thing with camera only is the fact that they don't really do multiszones very well. They're not able because they don't have that GPS guidance or that liar guidance. They can't go very efficiently from zone to zone or very accurately from zone to zone. So, what I have done with this one is I've taken out the box and I've set it up here. And I must say, I am absolutely gobsmacked with this robotic mower in terms of its navigation. It mowed systematically. It got from my main lawn to this lawn, which I was absolutely shocked. It followed a complete straight line down the path. Uh, and it actually performed better than some of the GPS or RTKG guided robotic mowers that I've tested.

[00:06:12]So, I've decided to go ahead and actually do a review of this one so you know exactly what you're getting. So, when I say camera only, what is the benefit of that? So this is a tri vision uh camera. They call it terra vision.

[00:06:25]And it has three cameras on here which use AI technology technology to guide it around your lawn, guide it from zone to zone. Um and the other thing I thought with this one is oh I'm going it's a camerag guided robotic mode. I'm going to have to have the charging station on my lawn which I absolutely hate because all the grass grows up around the charging station. Um and I wanted to have this away from my lawn. I've tested this away from my lawn and it it works.

[00:06:47]It just finds its way back to the robotic mower. uh back to the ch the robotic mode finds its way back to the charging station. No problem. So, I've now got the charging station off of my lawn and I will show you all of this uh how I set it up and I will share my screen as well. So, the benefit of having a camerag guided robotic mower is you don't need to worry about RTK stations uh putting up on the side of your house, satellite signals. Um, you don't need to worry about 4G or Wi-Fi coverage over your your garden or your backyard because the Net RTK is not being delivered over that service. It's just using its camera to guide it around, which means you can just put this on your lawn, set it up, it will auto map as well. Um, and you're off. You you're ready to go. And it does work really really well. So, camera only is the guidance with this one. And that is its plus. I thought it was going to be a downfall for this one, but it isn't.

[00:07:39]It's a plus for this because it is so so simple to set up. The app is great as well, and I'll show you the app uh and all of the things that you can do in the app as well. So, let me tell you a little bit more about it. So, this is for 0.3 of an acre or 1,200 m. And in terms of its mowing capacity, in terms of its speed, it would do around 100 m squared per hour, which is fantastic.

[00:08:04]So, you can't adjust the speed as far as I know like some of the other robotic mowers, but that is really impressive and that's because of the deck size. So, this has a a 203 mm deck or just over 20 cm, which is an 8 in deck. And I will just show you underneath the deck here so that you can see there's your deck.

[00:08:21]You have three blades. As I mentioned earlier, you do get uh spare blades with it as well. And why I've got the mower upside down, I'll just show you there.

[00:08:28]You have your onoff switch here. You have your key here, your safety key here as well, which you can take out, which disables the mower. And you also have your battery compartment here as well with these screws. So, the battery is not buried deep inside the robotic mower and it needs to go back to the manufacturer to change. You can take these screws off and access the battery in there, which is really, really nice.

[00:08:49]You'll see here that we're two wheel drive. We're not four-wheel drive here, and we have this caster wheel on the front here. Um, and I will tell you a little bit more about that and the the modification I've needed to make on my lawn to accommodate that. So, no four-wheel drive with this one. If you've got lots of steep slopes and uh bad terrain, then you're going to need a four-wheel drive robotic mower. And Terrammo are working on that at the moment. So, in terms of its slope, talking about slopes, this will deal with an 18 degree slope, which is 32.5%.

[00:09:19]So, still very impressive. Uh, and that's down to these wheels here with the grip, the rubber grip. And the build quality of this feels really good. You have this really nice handle here on the back to pick the mower up as you can see there. So, some mowers that you get, you really don't know where to pick them up and the plastics feels very thin and you're worried about damaging the mower.

[00:09:40]With this one, it really has a good build quality to it. I think it's probably one of the best build quality robotic mowers that I've tested. You've got this rubber bumper around the side which is going to take all of the scuffing so none of your plastic is going to get uh scuffed and it just feels really good. Okay, so it may not look the most sexy robotic mower. Um but this one really is growing on me in terms of its look. But it's not just about looks, it's about how well it works as well. Okay, super super quiet.

[00:10:07]I will show you that when it's up and running, how quiet it is. I've told you the cutting width and you'll notice also on here that there is no dial to adjust your cutting height. So if I just turn that round so that you can see. So the cutting height is adjusted via the app.

[00:10:23]Again, fantastic for a camera only robotic mower. So that means you can have your you can configure your lawn uh the height of your lawn and you can have different cutting heights for different zones as well. And that's all adjusted via the app. So, there's no manual adjustment on here for adjusting the height, which is fantastic. You'll also notice that there's a rain sensor on there as well. You can see inside there, you can do some controls from the control panel here, but the app is incredible. I will show you the app and some of the features and some of the even the integrations that Terramo have built into the app. Uh, really, really good. And of course, you have a stop button. So, it has obstacle avoidance through its camera here. So, as you can see, there's three cameras along there.

[00:11:07]There's also an LED light here as well.

[00:11:09]So, yes, this can mow in low light even though it is a camerag guided robotic mower. So, that has an LED light. And then you can see your three cameras there that are used for the navigation and also for the obstacle avoidance.

[00:11:21]Naturally, it has a lift and tilt sensor. Um, I don't think this is a bump sensor. I think this is purely just to protect it. So, I believe all of the uh obstacle avoidance will be done through the camera and via its AI technology.

[00:11:34]Uh, but again, I'm going to be testing that out as well. Okay, so in terms of the cutting heights, it cuts 25 mm to 75 millimeters. So that's a really good range of cutting heights. That's 1 in to 3 in in terms of its cutting height. Um, and I think that's pretty much it. It is IPX6 rated, so you can hose it down naturally, not pressure washing. You can hose it down underneath to get it clean.

[00:11:58]Um, and that's pretty much it in terms of the specifications. So, what I'll do now is I'll show you it set up. I will delete the map that I've already created when I did my initial test and I will show you how to set this up because it does only have um auto mapping. It doesn't have manual mapping, but that doesn't mean you can't control where it maps. And I'm going to show you that um when I set this up now. Okay. So, let's go ahead. Let's get this set up and then I'll test it out and I'll go over the pros and cons. Okay. So, we're ready to get our Terramo set up now. So, as I mentioned earlier, you do get the garage with it, which is absolutely fantastic.

[00:12:33]And it's something you do need to consider uh when purchasing a robotic mower and comparing the prices because most robotic mowers, the garage, the roof of for the garage is an optional extra. You have to pay for that and you think it would be relatively cheap.

[00:12:46]Well, it isn't. Uh so, do be sure to check out if you are going for another brand of robotic mower, just it's going to add at least $200 uh onto the cost of that robotic mower if you're going for the roof. So, why do you need a roof?

[00:12:57]So, let me just show you. So, I've got um my yuka mini here.

[00:13:05]And this yukam mini isn't even under a tree really. And you can see here all of the dirt coming from the trees is got tree sap on it. And it's just a real mess. And I have to keep cleaning cleaning it down, especially with the camera. Um so to have a garage over the top just keeps all of that muck off when the when the mower is charging or it's it's idle. is sitting here idle. So, it's a really good feature that um Terrammo have included the garage with this. Okay, so in terms of where you can put your charging station or your garage for your robot mower. So, the great thing about this Terramo, and I didn't think you could do it with a camera guided robotic mower, you can put this anywhere. You can have this away from your lawn. You could have it around the side of your house. You could even have it under a carport, for example. and that somehow this robotic mower is navigating back. It knows how to get back. So, it's AI camera is reading its environment and it's able to get back to the charging station and it uses this pattern on the back of the charging station to dock successfully and it works brilliantly. So, I've just got it here on the edge of the lawn, but you don't have to have it on the edge of the lawn here like I have. As I say, you can have this away and you can create a channel from your lawn area to your charging station. And that's a really great feature because I don't want to have it on my lawn. The grass grows up around it and it just looks a mess. So that's the first thing. The other thing I mentioned earlier um in the specification is you have this handle on the back and it's brilliant to pick it up. It's absolutely fantastic because you will occasionally need to be picking your robotic mower and you don't want to be damaging it by picking it up from the side. So having that handle on the back is fantastic. So before I put this So what I'll do, I'll get it on charge and then I'm just going to show you what we're going to be doing in this test today to test this robotic mower out. So again, I'm just going to use the handle there. Just wheel it onto the charging station like so. And it just docks in the front there. Okay. And I'm just going to power it's actually just powering itself on. So that's fine. So let me tell you what we're going to be doing in this test. So this is my main lawn here. This is around 450 square m.

[00:15:15]So easily this robotic mower is going to cover this lawn. But during this test, I don't want it to map out my entire lawn because of time. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to create a nogo barrier line across here and I'm going to say to the robotic mower to go out and map my lawn. So, what it will do because there's no manual mapping feature on the Terramo, it is all purely auto mapping and it does a brilliant job because I've already tried it and I'm absolutely blown away and I think you will be as well. So, to stop it mowing my whole lawn, I'm creating a line here, a no-go line along this area. And I'll show you the different settings that different no-go type settings that you can set with this one. Brilliant. So that it just maps this so that we can see how well it cuts to this edge. So, this is the key with robotic mowing is the fact that you don't want a lot of edge trimming. Well, you don't want any edge trimming to do. So, we're going to see how close it goes to this edge. And there are some edge settings again in the map uh in the app, sorry, where you can adjust how much clo how close it goes to the edge as well. Something I've not seen on other robotic mowers. I'm then going to get it to cross this stone here. But because of that front wheel, that caster wheel, it's not going to be able to go over this stone. Hence the reason I was saying if you do need to go over this type of driveway, for example, then you're going to need a four, you're either going to need to make a modification or you're going to need a four-wheel drive version. So, what I'm going to do is I'm going to put a plate here so that the robotic mower can come across this gravel here. I don't want it going up onto the path here because there's a step here. And again, it's not going to be able to cope with that step.

[00:16:51]So, it's going to come across here. is going to come up onto this path and it's going to navigate its way down this path.

[00:16:59]So, some of the other robotic mowers I've tested and these are liar and RTKG guided. They snake down the path. They literally go to the edge, they see it's an edge, they come back, they go over to the other edge, see it's an edge, and they come and they literally snake down the path. I've already tested this one, and honestly, it went straight down the path. I was so impressed. It's then going to come to this lawn here, my small lawn. It's going to come onto this lawn. We'll be creating this as a zone.

[00:17:23]And what I'm going to do is I'm going to let it auto map the whole of this lawn to see how well it does that. The other thing that I've noticed with the robotic mowers I've tested, this area here, this small area here, none of the robotic mowers go in. They leave a huge area of uncut grass around this corner here. So again, I'm going to see how well the Terramo cuts this lawn and how well it goes up to the edge. Uh so that's going to be a really good test. And there is some corner settings as well in the app that you can adjust how far it goes into the corner. So really super excited to try that out. The other thing is I want to see is this is a level edge. So I want the robotic mower not to go along the edge. I want it to go over the edge.

[00:18:05]Is it possible to do that with a Terramo? If it is, that's going to be fantastic because it means there'll be no trimming on this edge whatsoever.

[00:18:12]Then what I'm going to do, which is a big ask for this robotic mower, is for it to come down the pathway here, up this ramp here, is that caster wheel, that front caster wheel, going to be able to deal with this ramp and come up this ramp, cuz there is a step there.

[00:18:27]Because what I want it to do is I want it to come down the side of the house here. Okay. I then want the mower to come from the side of the house across the driveway, across this narrow path here. Will it find its way through this path and out onto the front lawn? Now, I haven't tested that, so I don't know whether it's going to work, but it's something that we will be trying out.

[00:18:48]Okay, so let's now get this set up.

[00:18:50]Let's get the mapping done and I'll show you how well this robotic mower works.

[00:18:54]So, and we'll test it out to see if it can get down the side of the house and out to the front lawn as well, which would be fantastic. So, what I'm going to do, I'm going to share my screen with you to show you what I'm doing. So the first thing I did was I was to add the robotic mower to the app. So download the Terramo app uh create an account, add your robotic mower. I'll show you this on the screen now what's happening.

[00:19:17]Uh and then update the firmware. So this will need a firmware update. So remember this is going to continue to improve in terms of its accuracy and in terms of its functionality as well. So ensure you always keep the app up to date as well as the firmware on the robotic mower. So you can see there on the screen um I just added it to my Wi-Fi and then what I've done is I've updated the firmware and it will do the updates over the air.

[00:19:41]So it would do them over the Wi-Fi. Now you're probably asking, well hold on, you said I didn't need Wi-Fi coverage on my back garden. So I'm now connected to the robotic mower over Bluetooth. And you don't need Wi-Fi. You don't need Wi-Fi for this robotic mower to work.

[00:19:55]You can literally be standing here uh connected to Bluetooth and controlling the robotic mower. But to do those updates, you do need Wi-Fi. You do need to have the robotic mower connected to Wi-Fi. So, just put it in a Wi-Fi area, get it updated, then you can bring it out to this area. So, remember that this also has a 4G SIM in it as well. And you get one year of 4G data with it. So, as soon as you activate it, I haven't activated it because I have Wi-Fi coverage here. I don't need it. But, if you don't have Wi-Fi and you want to do those updates and you don't have it in Wi-Fi range, just activate the 4G and it will do it over the 4G as well.

[00:20:30]You're probably thinking, well, hold on, that's going to cost me in year two then. But it it does it costs a little bit, and it's around $19, $19 or $19.

[00:20:38]It's nothing to have a whole year and one gig of data uh to have this connected to your um to your network essentially to allow you to monitor and control the robotic mower remotely. If you don't have that, the mower will still happily mow your lawn. And that's the advantage of this. You're not worrying about GPS, RTK, anything like that, Wi-Fi, 4G. If you just want to have this, set this up, let it mow, and just leave it. If you don't want that monitoring, you don't want the alerts and you don't want all that integration with the app, then you don't need any of that. So, it really is super simple. I hope that makes sense. So, so what I've done, as you can see on my screen, I've added my robotic mower. I've deleted the map. So, you can see there that I've got no map whatsoever.

[00:21:20]Um, so there is, as I mentioned, no manual mapping feature with this. It's all automatic, and that's what makes it so simple. So, what I'm going to do, so you can see at the bottom there, you have spot mowing. You also have mapping, uh, and you have mowing. So, because I don't have a map, I can't mow anything.

[00:21:35]So, I'm going to click on the mapping button in the middle, the mapping option at the bottom there.

[00:21:41]Okay. So, as you can see there at the bottom, we've got mapping. So, this is how we're going to create our map. And as I mentioned, I don't want to map my entire lawn because we're just doing a demonstration here. And I just want to show you how close it goes to the edge and how you use the mapping feature. So, I'm going to hit the play button there.

[00:21:55]And it's just giving me some guidance here about mowing directions. So it's saying about setting up your preferred mowing directions. So let me show you what that means. So you can see there the charging station at the bottom of the screen with the black box. So this is telling me that where my charging station is is going to be mowing this way. I don't want that. I want it mowing this way. So I see the stripes from the house. So all I need to do is adjust that slider at the bottom to 90°. So from this point here, it's going to mow in this direction, which is fantastic.

[00:22:25]So I'm going to hit the start button.

[00:22:29]So it's it's announcing that it's starting mapping. You can turn the sound off as well with this as well, and I will go through some of the settings.

[00:22:36]I'll pause it and I'll show you just the vast amount of settings you have in the app as well. So what it's doing now is it's coming off its charging station, and it's literally going to start automapping my lawn. Nothing for me to do. So I'm just going to come out of its way. is you can see on the screen there that it's mapping. But what I don't want it to do, I don't want it to go beyond this line here. So, all I'm going to do is I'm just going to let it start creating a little bit of the map. I'm just going to zoom out so you can see what it's doing. So, you can see there it's it's recognizing the grass and it's recognizing the path and it's using its AI technology to build up a map. And you can already see that starting to appear now on the um on the on the app. So, it's it's so so simple, but it's so accurate as well. It's really really unbelievable. And I will show you when I set this out to mow just how close it goes to that edge. And I've never seen that with a camerag guided robotic mower. So, I'm just going to let it draw a little bit more of the map. And then what I'm going to do is show you how you can create no-go zones, how you can create no go barriers as well, because naturally I don't want it to go any further out. But you can see there what it's doing. It's using its camera. It's using its AI to start building up um a map, creating its own map, which is is really fantastic. And it is mowing as well at the same time. So, I can naturally adjust the cutting height there. I can hear it cutting. So, even while it's mapping, it's cutting my lawn. Uh really, really incredible stuff. So, you'll see here it will come down to this end here.

[00:24:07]It will detect that the grass is ending.

[00:24:09]And you'll see on the map there, it will start to build the map. So, I'm just going to zoom in a little bit.

[00:24:23]And there you see it's spotted the end there. It's using that camera to look around. And there on the app, you can see now it's actually starting to draw my map. It's looking around. It's using that AI. Really incredible stuff. So, what I'm going to do here is I'm just going to pause and I'll show you on my screen what I'm doing because what I want to do for this demo is I want to stop it here. I want to stop it coming here. And I thought, well, hold on. I can't manually map. So, I can't do that.

[00:24:51]It's just going to map my entire lawn.

[00:24:52]But you can. And let me show you how you do that. So, I've just hit pause and I'm going to hit the little pen and paper um icon there on the right hand side at the top, which is your edit map. And you can see you have this whole host of uh things that you can create here. And I was just blown away with this. This is camera guided remember. So you can create your no-go zones. You can add a new zone which we will be doing when we create this zone and the other zone. Uh you can edit zones as well. Uh you can do base station settings. So this is really useful if you are going to let me just press that so that you can see. So I have to complete the mappings. I'll show you that after. But if you're going to have your base station somewhere else, completely away from any of the lawns, you use that base station setting to create a channel back to that charging station is absolutely incredible. You got map rotation. Uh you've got grass cutting zones. So, for example, if that camera detects a bare patch of grass, it's going to avoid it.

[00:25:47]It's going to say, "There's no grass there. I don't need to cut it." If the grass grows back, it will cut it. It will go and cut it. It's continuously learning, which is amazing. But let's say you've got an area of grass that you want it to cut, but it's it's deciding that it's not cutting there. Create a grass cutting zone and it will cut that area regardless of whether there's grass there or not. Again, full control, which is so lacking in other camerag guided robotic mowers. Pathway. Pathway is going to be between the two zones.

[00:26:14]Again, I'll show you that later. Uh, smart map textures, map backup, uh, passage only zone. Passage only zone means that if I had lots of plants hanging over my pathway there and this sees those plants and keeps avoiding them and doesn't want to go down the pathway, I can define that path as a passage only zone and it will just literally push on through. Now I believe what we may need to do with the ramp is it may detect that ramp as an obstacle and it may stop. But if I define it as a passage only zone, I'm hoping it will just simply go up the ramp and ignore that. Uh, again, another feature that you don't find on other camera only guided robotic mowers. And I'm super excited to try that out. If I can get this to go out and cut my front lawn, I'll be very, very happy. Okay, so that shows you all of the things that we can create. And naturally, I can rename my map there at the top as well. But what I want to do is I want to create a no-go zone. So, you would think, oh, it's a no-go zone. You draw a square or you go around an obstacle and it wouldn't be a no-go zone. But not with this Terrammo.

[00:27:12]You get rectangle, you get polygon, you get uh ellipse. So, if you had a trampoline, for example, round trampoline, you could literally just draw that around. If I go one more, you've got virtual fence. They've actually included a virtual fence as well. So, I'm going to hit virtual fence. And you can see there on my app, it's drawn a line. So, what I want to do is I want to draw a line a little bit further than where it is. So, I want it to cut a fair amount. Well, actually, let's do it where it is so that we can see. So, what I do, I'm going to zoom in just to show you what I'm doing here.

[00:27:39]So, I'm going to take that virtual fence and I'm going to put it right where the mower is now. Actually, let's give it a little bit more. Let's allow it to map a little bit more. And then what I'm going to do is I'm going to drag that line across. Zoom out a little bit. So, I hope you can see what I'm doing here is I'm just creating a virtual boundary just to say to the robotic mower, don't map any more than over that line. So though this doesn't have ma uh manual mapping, you still have full control. So if my lawn was bordering my neighbor's lawn and there was no fence or boundary between it, I don't need to worry that it's going to go over to my neighbor's lawn and cut that. I just create this virtual fence and job done. Really, really incredible stuff. So I'm going to hit the tick at the top there.

[00:28:25]I'm going to close that. I'm going to go back. I'm going to hit the play button to let it carry on mapping. And you'll see that it won't it will only map now up to this virtual fence and this area here so that we can test the obstacle avoidance. We can test the edge cutting and then we can test the navigation down to the other zone. Okay, so the Terramone now is going along the edge and I just wanted you to see just how close it is going to that edge. It's absolutely incredible that this is camera guided. I haven't changed any of the settings. The setting is on zero uh cm in terms of the edge. And I will show you that in the app. But even without me doing anything, just auto mapping, you can just see how beautifully that is following the edge there. So, what I do want to try is up on the upper lawn where the grass is level. I don't want it going on the stones here because uh I don't want the blades to hit the stones, but where we've got that level edge, I'm going to make the setting for it to go over the edge. So, what I want to see is the robot half over my flat edge there.

[00:29:27]But even here with the auto map, it's absolutely fantastic. I just can't believe that this is a cameraguided robotic mower. Not only is it mowing systematically up and down in straight lines, it's also going very, very close to the edge. And you'll naturally I've created my virtual line there. So, it's now heading back along that virtual boundary. But yeah, so far so good. So, I'm going to let it finish uh finish off in this section, and then I'll show you how to create your second and third zone.

[00:30:07]Okay. So, I'm just going to record my screen again now just so that you can see how we can create our second zone and a pathway between the zone. And I want to just show you how well this navigates uh down this narrow path here.

[00:30:20]So, I have put a bit of plastic there for it to get across the stone. So, I'm hoping it's going to be able to cross that. So, on, as you can see on my screen, you can see the map there. You can see the no-go line that I created to stop it going over that. Once it's done a map, there is an option, and I will show you this later in the app, to say, "Okay, don't map anymore. Just keep what you've got." So, essentially, I could turn that on, delete that line, that no go, no go line, and the mower would continue to mow just that area. It won't expand out. So, you can do that and I will show you that in the app uh a little bit later, but it will carry on learning what's in your lawn. So, if you do put an obstacle in your lawn, it's not going to um it's not going to map that out, for example, but it won't extend the map. So, I hope that makes sense, but I will show you that a little bit later. So, what we want to do now is to create our second lawn. And I'm going to let it automap the whole of that lawn. And what I'm going to do is lower that deck so that you can see it cutting and see how well it cuts as well.

[00:31:17]because this is quite low, this grass, and it's difficult to see that it's it's actually cutting anything. But I've left that one quite long so you can see the kind of cut quality that you do get with this robotic mower. Okay, so I'm into my map again. I'm going to hit the little pen and paper icon in the top right there. And what I want to create now is a new zone. So I'm going to hit the add new zone.

[00:31:38]And it says there add via map editing or via manual control. So what I'm going to hit is I'm going to say manual control.

[00:31:47]So, my screen turns sideways. It gives me a little bit of um it gives me a little bit of help, guidance as we're going along. So, I'm going to hit the skip button there because I I kind of know what I'm doing. I'm going to connect hit the connect to Bluetooth.

[00:31:59]So, I'm now talking to the robotic mower over Bluetooth uh to get that control.

[00:32:04]So, let me just let that connect and then I'll show you what we do. So, what I want to do is I don't want to set that as my start point. I'm just going to set an area in my lawn as my start point. I could use the base station as the start point, but what I'm going to do is I'm going to start remote control. So, I'm going to agree and continue. So, it's just giving me again a little bit of help. And on the screen there, you can see that it's giving you little joystick controls for you to control the robot.

[00:32:28]So, I'm going to reverse it out like so. And then I'm going to set that as my start point. So, I'm going to agree.

[00:32:39]>> Okay. So, this is now going to be my start point. And at some point on the screen, it will tell me now to start navigating to the second zone. Okay. So, what it's doing now is it's locating its position. So, it's turning around, it's having a look, and it's now happy it knows where it start. So, all I need to do now is navigate the robotic mower using the controls down to the second zone, and then hit the bot button at the bottom, which says set end point, and then it will just start auto mapping that lawn. It's that easy. Okay, so let me show you that now. So, what I want to do is want to see first of all, can it go over this uh ramp that I've created.

[00:33:20]And you'll notice on my map that it's actually starting to create a pathway.

[00:33:24]And I'll show you that as I go down the path. So, I'm just going to get it nice in position to cross over.

[00:33:39]And then I'm just going to guide the robotic mower down this path.

[00:33:48]Very, very easy to steer as well. But do stand behind the robotic mower. It just makes it so much easier. So you'll notice on my screen eventually as we go down a little bit, you'll start seeing a line being drawn behind the robotic mower.

[00:34:05]It does say on the screen there that it needs to be less than 60 m. So that looks like that's a limitation between your zones of 60 m, but I'm fine here.

[00:34:18]You can also see on the screen there that is counting up. So I'm 18.3 m and I need to be less than 60 m, but it's it's absolutely fine at the moment. It's counting down. So it's giving me that guidance.

[00:34:30]Okay. Okay. So, then I'm going to turn into my next zone like so. And then on on my app, I'm going to hit set as end point. So, I just set a start point and an end point.

[00:34:47]So, I'm going to hit set end point.

[00:34:51]And what will happen is now the robot will now go and map this lawn. So, I'm not going to create any boundaries on this because it's quite a small lawn.

[00:34:58]I'm just simply going to let it map it out completely. And then, as you can see on the screen, what's just popped up now is the channel between the two zones.

[00:35:06]It's absolutely incredible stuff this.

[00:35:08]But what I really can't wait to show you is how well it navigates. So, when I set this out on a mow, how well it comes down that path, how straight it goes down that path as well. So, what I could do now is I could adjust the cutting height because this is actually cutting while it's mapping as well. So to do that, if you hit the general um button there on the screen on the right hand side towards the bottom, you can see there that my cutting height is very high at 75. I can start bringing that down and that's the luxury of this. So when I hit save, the the mower will stop and the the cutting height will adjust automatically. So this is an automated cutting height as well, which is fantastic. So it's just adjusting that down now. And you've got some other settings there. So edge cutting distance is 0 cm. So let me just start that back going again.

[00:35:58]Okay. And it's just adjusting the cutting height now and it's off. So let me just go back into those settings quickly. So you've got cutting edge distance 0 cm. So you can go in that. So I need to pause the task first to show that. You've got mowing path spacing. I don't really adjust that. I think that's absolutely fine. Oh, and you do have mowing speed as well. Amazing. I didn't even know that that was in here. So we've got it on default. You can put it on fast. You can put it even on adaptive. This is something I've not seen in any other robotic mower. And you can have it on fine as well if you want to, which is really, really good. I didn't even know that that was a thing.

[00:36:32]You also have rotation speed on the blade as well. So, you have an eco setting. So, if you want this to cover more square meterage on a single charge, you can do that by putting it into eco.

[00:36:42]If you're only just taking small amounts off, then it may be worth doing that.

[00:36:46]So, I'm just going to come out of the mower's way so I don't interfere with the mapping. Um, and you've also got the mowing direction that we discussed earlier. So, if I go into that, it wants to end the task, but you can adjust the way in which it mows. But with these two lawns and even my front lawn, I want it mowing in this direction uh parallel or just uh perpendicular to the actual house. So, when we look out, we see that that nice stripey lawn there. Okay. So, that's really fantastic. You've also got mowing mode at the top there. So, let me just go into that. Uh, so we've got general mode, mow with the same settings across all zones. Okay. And customize mode. So customized mode means that we can have each zone set up differently.

[00:37:24]Again, you might want this the mower to cut this way on this lawn, another way, different height on this lawn to that lawn. You can do that with this app.

[00:37:32]Again, really, really fantastic. Okay, so let me just come back out of that now. Uh, and we'll just let it finish mapping this lawn.

[00:37:40]So this is this is the area that gets most of the robotic mowers coming into this gap here. So it's going to be really interesting to see what the Terramote makes of it. It is well defined. So that you can see there it's having a look. It's seeing where the grass is. It's seeing where the stone is as well.

[00:37:57]But it's just so impressive that a cameraguided robotic mower can mow systematically in straight lines. And we'll see that when I set this out on a mower because at the moment it's just mapping. So it's going across the the grass there. is going out to see this this border here to build up its map.

[00:38:11]But when we set it out on a mow, it will literally go up and down. And I will show you that. And what I will do is lower the cutting height on this lawn so that you can see how well it cuts. So we're ready to create my front lawn now, my zone there. So what I've done is I've driven the robotic mower into this lawn, which is closer to the front. I'm not 100% sure this is how you do it. So I've set my start point here. So what it's now doing is it's saying to navigate out to the next zone. So I'm going to do that now. and we'll see how well it deals with the ramp there. So, I'm just going to turn the mower around and start creating a channel now to the front lawn.

[00:38:53]Again, you can see on the screen there, it's counting down uh 7.6 m. Can it navigate here?

[00:39:01]Okay, so let's carry on. Yeah. Okay. So, we seem to be good. But what I may have to do, as I mentioned earlier, I believe this is going to be detected as a an obstacle and it's going to stop. But we can we we have that option to define this as a passageway. And I think we may need to do that so that the robotic mower ignores it and goes up the ramp.

[00:39:20]But again, we will try it and we will see. So I'm just going to carry on making my way around to the front.

[00:39:30]Okay. So I'm out on my front lawn now.

[00:39:33]So, it's it's going to create that channel. What I want to do now is say set end point. And what it will do is it will now go off and start automapping this lawn as well. That's just how easy this is. And so far, the navigation has been absolutely spoton. It's been absolutely fantastic. But what I want to do is I want to set it out on a mow. Um, and I want it to come out here on its own, cut this lawn, and go back on its own. And let's see how well it navigates. Okay. So, that is my lawn setup. Now, that's my zones, three zones created. And I hope you could see there just how easy this is to use. And I'm absolutely blown away with this. I wasn't expecting it to be this easy with camera only. I have tested a lot of camera only robotic mowers. And whilst you can get them set up eventually, they are frustrating. Super super frustrating because they're not seeing where they need to go. So, for example, that crossing over the stones there, this has no hesitation. It literally comes down the path, turns, goes across the bridge, goes straight on its docking station.

[00:40:35]There's no twisting and turning like some other the robotic mowers trying to work out where they are. This just does it and it just makes that whole setup process so much easy. So, not only do you not have the RTK, all the configuration of uh various types of navigation system, putting RTK stations on the side of your house and all this kind of thing and repositioning this and repositioning that. This is so so simple, but it's being a camera only guided robotic mower and being simple, which can be its downfall in terms of how well it can navigate, but this has that as well. And I hope you could see that there just how it's come back from the front garden down the path, turned and gone straight into its charging station. It's absolutely incredible. I don't know what magic terramo are using inside this robotic mower, but it really is the best robotic mower in terms of navigation camera only that I have tested. really fantastic. So, let me share my screen with you and show you uh what we've got. So, you can see here now. So, you can see here on my map here that I've got my back lawn which I created that barrier there. I've got my middle lawn there as well, uh which is allowed to map the whole lawn. This rear lawn, this front lawn here, I've cut off again because I just want to get it done. I just want to see the navigation.

[00:41:51]So, the testing of the cut quality we'll do on the middle lawn. Uh the channel as well. I created a channel from my mid lawn to my front lawn. And instead of it like another robotic mower that I had go, it used to go up onto my middle lawn and come off of my little middle lawn to come back here. This has worked out that the pathways join and it can simply just follow that path back. It's that intelligence is making this so good in terms of its navigation. Okay, so I hope you could see there just how easy this mower is to set up. So, if you have any doubts about a robotic mower being complicated, this one is simplicity in itself. So, so easy to set up there uh and create those diff additional bits there that you can see that I've done the no-go zones for example. I just wanted to share some of the features of the app with you because I think you'll agree when if you've tested lots of robotic modes like I have from Motion to Navim Mo to Works, uh you get to know the apps, but this seems to have everything in it. There's nothing missing in terms of the features. So, I won't go through them all, but I just want to pick out a few that I found really, really impressive. So, I'm going to hit the cog there at the top of the screen. So, naturally, I can go into the mower and see all of the information about IP addresses, what versions I'm on, firmware, and that kind of thing. I can also rename the mower if I want to.

[00:43:07]Map management. I can go in here and I can edit my map. So, I can go and readjust the lines. I can re extend the map. And I can go in and edit it. really nice feature that you're not just stuck with a single map there. Scheduling.

[00:43:20]Naturally, you're going to want to this to be a hands-off. This is what robotic mowing is all about. Saving you time.

[00:43:26]So, you're not having to mow it yourself and also giving you a a lovely lawn.

[00:43:30]Because remember, these are mulching.

[00:43:31]They're not collecting any cutings.

[00:43:33]They're cutting fine pieces off is putting those nutrients and moisture back into your lawn, and you just have a healthier looking lawn with no work to do. So, it's a win-win situation. So, this is where you go in and you edit your schedule where you select the the days and the times that you want it to mow, which is really, really nice. So, I'm going to go in. I'm going to edit my schedule here. So, I'm going to enable the schedule and I'm going to hit the plus button there. And I you can see here I can put in the times that I want it to go out. I can set repeats and then I can specify the zones as well. So, I don't have to could have this go zone one on a Monday, zone two on a Tuesday and so on. So, you can divide it up into zones there. And you can see there you can also set an edge cut as well or you can set it on auto and just let the mower decide what needs to be cut.

[00:44:17]Again, really, really nice there. So that's um youruling. You've got mowing records there. You've got your network and Bluetooth connections. So let me just go into that because I just want to show you something here. So you can see here that I have my Wi-Fi connected, but I don't have my cellular data connected because I don't need it. So, as soon as you connect that cellular data, you turn it on, your year starts, your free year of data starts, and then you just have to renew it uh after that year period.

[00:44:43]And it's very, very reasonably priced. I think it's around $19, $19 or $19. Uh, which is fantastic if you need that control, that remote control of the mower. You don't need to have it as mentioned before. And naturally, because I'm standing close to the mower, I have the Bluetooth connected. Let me now go into notifications. So, when you go into notifications, you can see all of the notifications that are coming up uh that you've had. You can naturally turn those off if you don't want to have them coming up on your screen. Robot settings here. Volume of the voice. You can change the language. And this is where you have your rain detection. So, I remember I told you it's got a rain sensor on here. You can decide what it does. You can even say mow in the rain if you want. I don't tend to do that because the grass gets stuck under the underneath the deck and it would need cleaning when there's wet grass on there. You can also set the time at which it waits for. So it will wait for say 2 hours, go undercover, and then naturally because it's undercover, it doesn't know whether it stopped raining or not. So it will come out again. If it's still raining, it detects that rain, it will go back in for another two hours and go out or whatever time you set. Really, really nice. You also have a weather aare operation there as well.

[00:45:48]So if there's going to be adverse weather conditions, if that's turned on, it will know about it and it won't go out and mow. Again, a really nice feature that you don't find on other robotic mowers. You've also got under the map settings there, you've got various settings, smart no-go zone suggestions, smart map textures. Um, this will basically create like a 3D image of your map as well. Uh, and you've got multi-base map, so you can have multiple bases with this as well.

[00:46:12]Again, how many other robotic mower brands give you that option? You've got danger zone avoidance, so that's where you have steep drops. So, if you're near a swimming pool or something like that and it's cutting quite close up to that, you can turn that danger zone avoidance on as well. Excess excessive slope detection. So, it will see a slope and it won't attempt to mow on it. And that's going to just stop it from tipping over or anything like that.

[00:46:36]You've got your obstacle avoidance detection, which we will be trying out.

[00:46:39]So, let me just go into there. So, you can have it on default or sensitive. If you have it on default, it's going to go over small things like dog poo, small dog poo, for example. If you have it on sensitive, it will avoid those smaller obstacles. As you can see there, again, really nice that you can uh change that as well. You've got enhanced yellow grass detection. Um you've got stuck recovery, so when it gets stuck, you can decide should it try to get itself out or should it just stop and then you go and rescue it. Again, really nice features. The other nice feature is the advanced um the uh edging, the advanced edge settings there. So, you can say corner retouch, edge, edge obstacle sensitivity. So, I have some lights up there on my edge. I don't want it to be going around them because they are off the grass. But, if I turn that down to low, that is then not going to avoid those lights and cut closer to the edge.

[00:47:28]Now, I will show you this in a moment.

[00:47:30]Uh, you've got segmented uh edge trimming as well, which you can turn on.

[00:47:34]So, the robot stops adding new areas to the map. Uh, so this is the boundary lock that I was sorry, the map boundary lock that I was telling you about earlier. So, because I've created that no-go zone there, uh, it's not going to cross that. But what I can do is just turn that on now. Map boundary lock. And it won't extend my map anymore. I'm happy with my map. I want to keep it as that. I don't want it to be mapping when it's going out mowing. I can turn that on and lock the map in. And I can just remove those boundaries if I want to. Uh segmented ED edge trimming. I'm not really too sure what that is. Please enable map boundary first. Okay. So map boundary needs to be enabled first. So that uh that locks it and then you can go in and do some edge trimming. So once enabled, the robot will ignore the settings in the mowing settings. Okay, so this is to fine-tune your edging. So so many different settings in this app, which is absolutely amazing. So I'm just going to turn that off.

[00:48:26]Turn those two off there and go back and show you some of the other settings. The other one I really like is the home assistant. So I have home automation in my home. I have home assistant. I'm able to integrate this robotic mower with home assistant. How many other brands of robotic mower come with home assistant built in? you're having to get third party uh applications in order to do that. It's built in with this one.

[00:48:48]Absolutely fantastic that uh Terrammo have included that. Uh you've got your remote control, you've got your anti- theft settings. So though I say this is not GPS guided, it does have GPS tracking with it. So you can GPS track your robotic mower if it was to get stolen. You can also put in the anti anti- theft protection there for notifications. So you will get a notification if this is taken outside of the area. And you can also alert and lock the robotic mower as well if you want to do that. So, you've got great anti- theft uh protection there. You've got find my device as you can see there.

[00:49:19]That's using the GPS. Uh and it's locating the mower on my map there, which is again another great feature. Um you can ring your robot. Not sure why you would want to do that. Uh and you also have a live camera. So, when this is out mowing, I will go into the live camera and you can actually see what the mower is doing. You can see through that camera. Again, really fantastic. You've got your child um child lock there as well, your firmware, your feedback, you've got user manual, you've got share device. So, if I wanted to share with this with my family, I could do that.

[00:49:49]All they need to do is create a Terramo account. I put in their email address and then I can share the control of the robotic mower with them. Again, really, really nice. And if you're setting this up for someone, you get it all set up, you can do it on your device, then you can just hand it over to them when you're done. Again, a really nice feature there. And of course, you have your support in there as well, should you need support. So, that's really just a few of the settings. I have shown you the general settings in terms of the cutting heights that you have. So, I'm just going to lower that cutting height down now because we're going to set it out on a mow. I'm going to have it on 30 mm. Hit save. So, that's just really saying whenever I ask it to cut outside of a schedule, cut on that height. I'm going to leave everything else the same there in terms of mowing speed, uh blade rotation speed, but again, really nice that you have that uh ability to adjust all of the settings of this robotic mower. It's really nothing in there that I can find that is missing. The other quick thing I wanted to point out is you as well as doing the um cutting different zones, you can also have a spot cut as well. So spot you can put it on to spot mode there. So you can see spot mode can only be activated when the robot is not docked. to essentially take it to an area that you want it to mow, go to spot mode, and let it mow that area. Again, that's essentially a drop and mow feature with this robotic mower.

[00:51:06]Again, something missing on other robotic mowers. So, really impressive the app here. It's very intuitive, very easy to navigate through. Uh, and that essentially covers what this robotic mower can do inside the app. Okay, so we're ready to test the mower out now and set it out on its first mow. So, what I'm going to do is I'm going to get it to cut this lawn first, uh, so that I can demonstrate the obstacle avoidance.

[00:51:28]I'll put some obstacles in front of it.

[00:51:29]I'll leave it on that default setting, that obstacle setting, not on the sensitive setting, and we'll see, uh, whether or not it avoids those obstacles. I'll also put something in front of it last minute as well, because I do have a small dog. Uh, and I just want to see if it can, uh, avoid her if she runs into the path of the robotic mower at the last moment. So, what I'm going to do then is I'm sharing my screen. So, I will show you the zone.

[00:51:51]So, I'm going to click on zone. You then click on the zone that you want it to mow. So, I want it to zone uh to mow zone one there. And then you hit the play button. And it really is as simple as that. So, what I I'll do now is I'll let it start going up and down mowing.

[00:52:05]You'll see that systematic mowing um method as well, those straight lines.

[00:52:09]And then I'll grab some obstacles, put it in front, and show you the obstacle avoidance.

[00:52:47]Okay, so let's test the obstacle avoidance now. So, we just wait for the mower to come back and I'll put some obstacles uh and we'll see how well it does. I'm just going to put that in its path, a ball. So, I hope you can see just how well this robot mower is doing at keeping those straight lines. It's incredible that this is camera guided uh and it's keeping those straight lines.

[00:53:07]It's mowing systematically. So, we've got a ball there. It sees it perfectly.

[00:53:13]Okay. And it's backing up. So, the thing to remember here is don't worry that it's not going to cut the rest of this row here. It will. It will come back around and it will finish that off. So, what I'm going to do, so remember I have the settings currently on standard. So, I don't have it on uh sensitive and I'm going to put a smaller ball here, but I am going to be ready on the stop button just in case it does go over it.

[00:53:36]Okay. So, I'm just going to pop that in its path there.

[00:53:43]So, it's quite a small ball this we're on those standard settings, but let's see whether it can pick that up.

[00:53:51]Okay. Yes. And it did. So, even on the standard settings, he's picked up a smaller object there, which is fantastic. So, the last thing I want to try, well, actually there's two more things I want to try is a glove. So, a glove is very low down. And a lot of robotic mowers, you can see here it's been cut to pieces because a lot of robotic mowers don't see this because it's low down. And it will literally just go over it. So, what I'm going to do is just see whether this this robotic mower does pick it up.

[00:54:18]I'm going to put that in its path, but I will be ready on the stop button here because most of the robotic mowers I've tested will not pick something as low up as that.

[00:54:31]Okay. And it has it's picked it up, which is fantastic. So, that really does give you peace of mind that anything on your lawn is going to be picked up. So, the other thing I just want to do because I have a small dog, as you can see there, I need to make sure that it's if something goes in front of the robotic mower, it's going to pick it up immediately. So, let's just see when that comes back. I don't want to test it with my Lily here.

[00:54:55]So, I'm just going to pop this quickly in front. And there you can see. So, if a dog does run in front of the robotic mower last minute, uh, this Terramode does pick it up. And that's so pleasing to see that the mower is doing that. So, what I'm going to do now is I'm just going to stand here because I don't want to take any chances with my dog. But you can see there it's just picking me up.

[00:55:15]No problem whatsoever. Uh, and it's going around. And naturally, it's going to finish anything off the other side of the mower uh that it hasn't mowed. So, real peace of mind there knowing that the Terramo has excellent um obstacle avoidance detection on it. Okay. So, what I want to do now is I'm going to set the robotic mower up to go up and cut this lawn. And I'm going to put it on time lapse because I just wanted you to see this systematic mowing, this straight line mowing from a camera only robotic mower. It really is a fantastic thing and it's the first time I've seen this on a camera only mower. Um, so what I'll do now is I'm just going to stop it on this zone. Uh, I'm going to set it to mow this zone here. So, we'll test out the also the navigation as well, how well it goes down the path. So, let me do that now.

[00:56:02]Okay. So, I've paused it. I've paused the mower and I'm going to say recharge.

[00:56:08]I hit the recharge button.

[00:56:10]>> Ending task. And again, you'll see just how confidently it makes its way back to its charging station. So, some robotic mowers that I've tested, they go outside the front of the charging station.

[00:56:21]They're turning around and around and around trying to work out where they are. Uh, but the Terramo just seems to I mean, just look at that. Is incredible.

[00:56:29]This is camera guided and it's just gone straight back into the charging station without any turning around trying to work out where it is. Really impressive.

[00:56:36]Okay, so what I'm going to do then is I'm going to go into zone.

[00:56:41]So it's just saving my map there.

[00:56:44]So remember, unless we lock the map, it is going to continue to build that map up as well. So um I'm just letting that save. So it's 72%.

[00:56:54]Okay, so on the screen you're seeing the progress of any mowing that's done, the percentages, how many square meters it's covered, uh, and all that type of useful information. Okay, so we're done. So I'm going to go to zone and I'm going to take zone one off and I'm going to do zone two, which is my mid zone there.

[00:57:10]And then I'm going to actually I'm going to hit the end button first. So I want to clear the progress. So now I'm going to click my middle lawn, take my first lawn off, hit play.

[00:57:23]And it's starting. So, let's see how well it now navigates by itself down to that mid zone. And I'll set up a camera on time lapse so that you can see how well it mowed.

[00:57:58]Okay, so it's got his position. It knows where it is now. It's heading straight over to the ramp to cross the stone.

[00:58:06]Really incredibly accurate. Incredibly accurate. And now it's making its way down the path.

[00:58:14]And this is all AI cameraguided technology. So, there's no GPS signals to worry about, nothing really to set up. It really is performing fantastically well. And I hope you can see there that it's keeping a really nice straight line. It's not swaying and going from side to side. It's very, very impressive. So, remember, your obstacle avoidance is still on when it's navigating between zones. So, if I was to stand here, it would detect me and it would try to go around. Unless, of course, I created it as that uh passageway zone, which means it won't detect any obstacles. If I had lots of plants overhanging the path and I just wanted it to push through, it would.

[00:58:52]Another great feature on this Terramo.

[00:58:54]Okay, so we're coming down to this uh lawn here, the second lawn.

[00:59:02]Really keeping a nice straight line there.

[00:59:10]Okay. And I have my cutting height. Let me just see what I have my cutting height set to. So I have it set to 35.

[00:59:16]So that should give you an idea uh in terms of cutting because this lawn is actually quite long. And again, what we will do is see how well it cuts to the edge as well.

[00:59:28]But again, going in exactly at the point that I told it to go in.

[00:59:34]The blade will start up. the deck will lower to that 35 mm.

[00:59:39]So, it's just announced that it's starting to mow. And there you can hear the blade kicking in.

[00:59:45]And I don't know if you can hear just how quiet the mower is as well. It's super super quiet.

[00:59:52]So, what it would do is it will mow the main lawn and then it will come around and do the edges after. So, there it's doing that systematic mowing up and down, which is really great for a cameraguided mower.

[01:00:05]You can see there the grass coming up where it's cutting it. So, what I'll do is I'm just going to pause it there and then I'm going to set up the time lapse so that you can see uh the progress of it speeded up.

[01:01:21]Okay. So, as you can see, the Terramo, the V1000 is doing a fantastic job. It's keeping those systematic lines and it's cutting really well. I mean, we are cutting off a lot more really than we should be. This is not what robotic mowing is about. It's about sending this out on a regular basis every other day just to cut fine pieces off as opposed to this. But it's just showing you the cutting power of the robotic mower. And the fact that it is camera guided and following those straight lines up and down this lawn as you can see there on the time lapse. Really great. So what we're going to do now is see how well it does in this gap here and also when it goes around the edge. So when it goes around the edge, is it going to go into that small gap? So, other robotic mowers haven't that I've tested. And also on this corner, the mower comes into this corner. It comes around here and leaves a big area here. So, I want to see how well this uh Terramo does around the edges. So, I think it's about to start its edging routine shortly. Um, so I just want to monitor that and see how well it does. So, it's just doing in that area at the moment.

[01:02:27]Okay. You can see there it goes into the corner and reverses which is really nice. So it's coming out now there.

[01:02:33]That's that reversing into the corner I really really like. And I haven't seen that on any other robotic mower. They tend to leave these corners as they turn the corner and carry on. But the Terramo seems to want to reverse. So what I'm hoping to see here is it turn this corner and reverse back.

[01:02:52]And there you can see it's reversing back and cutting the lawn. How brilliant is that? And I haven't seen that. And look how close that's going to the edge as well. Okay. So, this is the the edge that most robotic mowers completely miss out. And you can see there again that reversing to take the corner.

[01:03:11]Yep. So, it's gone in, but it will reverse, I believe, and cut that into this corner.

[01:03:18]Very, very clever from Terramo. That's doing this is doing the best job of all of the robotic mowers that I've tested in this small area here. And it's that reversing there into the corner as you can see. Absolutely fantastic.

[01:03:32]So, let's see how well it does down this edge here. And I've made no adjustments to the edging. I'm just leaving it on that 0 cm cut. And you can see there he's not avoiding those lights. It knows it's got enough clearance. Is going as close to the edge as possible there. So, yes, there may be a tiny little bit of trimming 5 cm or less. And I could try and play with this and have it go over a little bit more uh by adjusting those edge settings there. But I am extremely happy with that. And for a camerag guided robotic mower, even not a cameraguided robotic mower, even just a GPS guided uh or liar guided robotic mower there, it's even going over the edge even more. Reversing and going over the edge. That is absolutely fantastic.

[01:04:13]It's really cutting up close to the edge this one. So this is another area that catches out the robotic mowers. bit here. They tend to come up here, turn and go into the edge and miss this out completely. So, let's see whether the Terramo can deal with that. So, again, I'm hoping to see it reverse here. Go up to the edge, turn, and reverse into that corner to finish cutting it.

[01:04:39]Wow. And it does. Really, really impressive. So, this is the corner that normally gets missed. So, we're literally that's turning on the corner and reversing as well and completely cutting that edge, which is fantastic.

[01:04:51]So, other robotic mowers I've tested, this is completely left this bit here.

[01:04:56]And again, it's going in nice and close to that edge as well.

[01:05:07]So you can see the long grass in that corner from my previous robotic mower, but this is reversing in and it's cutting it as well. Yes, there's leaving a tiny bit there, but it's doing a better job than some of the other mowers that I've tested. Again, really, really nice.

[01:05:24]So here, I don't think it's going to go over the edge. I think it's going to again reversing into that corner to finish it off. Wow, really really impressed with that. Okay, and it's coming over to the edge now.

[01:05:36]And I think I could adjust this to go over the edge using those uh settings in the app. But even that is fantastic.

[01:05:43]That's going right up to that edge there.

[01:05:53]Okay. And this is another corner that always gets missed.

[01:06:01]So, let's see whether it can reverse into that corner as well. Was it just going to miss that one there? It's reversing into that corner and cutting it. Yes, there's a tiny bit on the corner here left, but most of the robotic mowers left this much to be trimmed. So, it's doing a really fantastic job and that corner there as well.

[01:06:40]Okay. So, in terms of cut quality, no issues with its cutting performance whatsoever. It's taking lots of grass off there. Navigation is doing well.

[01:06:49]Okay. Okay. So, what it's doing now is just going around the edge again, but a little bit further out cuz I can see there's a little bit left there. So, it's just going around that edge, but pulling itself back a little bit. So, it's doing two laps of an edge cut uh once it's finished.

[01:07:03]Yeah. So, that's what it's doing there.

[01:07:05]You can see it's a little bit further away from the edge.

[01:07:08]Okay. Very impressed with this so far.

[01:07:10]Very impressed. So, what I want to do now is I want to set this out on a mow to my front lawn. And I want to see if it can get up that ramp there uh and go out to the front lawn. So, let's try that now.

[01:07:21]Okay. So, it's done a brilliant job of cutting this smaller lawn. Very impressed with that. So, what I want to try now is so some robotic mowers that I've tested, they need to start at the charging station. They need to be back on their charging station. And I used to have to put my mower on the charging station to go out all the way and cut the front lawn. I wouldn't be able to start it from this zone. That's with other brands, but I want to try it with this one. So, I'm sharing my screen so that you can see that I've got my robotic mower in zone one there. But I don't want to cut zone one now. I want to cut the front lawn, which is this zone here. I've I've put some barriers there, some um virtual fences there because I I just want to demonstrate the process. I don't want to cut the whole lawn. Just want to ch test test out this theory. So, I've got the robotic mower not on the charging station. I've got it in this zone here that I don't want to cut. Can I click play? And it will start from this point. Is it aware of its surroundings? Is it aware that it's in that position? Now, I believe it is because it's showing on the mat. But can I start the mow from there? So, I've got the the zone selected that I want to cut. I've got the height adjusted and everything else. So, I'm going to hit the play button.

[01:08:28]Is it now going to tell me I need to be back on the charging station before I can go and cut that other zone or is it happy to start from there? So, let's see what happens.

[01:08:40]So, just give it a few seconds.

[01:08:49]Just having a little look around to see where it is.

[01:09:06]So, this is a big ask for a camerag guided robotic mower because normally you would want to start from your charging location to give it that reference point, but you can see there it's doing it. It's absolutely incredible this robotic mower. I'm so impressed with this. So, this is going to be the issue. Can it get up this ramp here? And I always asked uh because people do have steps. Can it go up a ramp? So, let's see whether it's going to detect this as an obstacle. And if it does, I have a plan um that we can use to eliminate this as an obstacle. But let's see whether or not it will work.

[01:09:42]Okay. Okay. No. So that's fine. I think it's making its way.

[01:09:47]Brilliant. And that's that's what I wanted to see. So with no adjustment there, um the Terramo has gone up this ramp and is now going out to my front lawn to cut the front lawn. So really really impressive there.

[01:10:20]Okay, so I hope you could see there how well this Terramote V1000 did and how impressed I am. You probably heard it there in the in the review because I sometimes I take these mowers out, I test them and it's so frustrating. I spend hours trying to get them uh working, they start playing up and that kind of thing. But this one has been super super simple. very impressed with the quality of it as well. But as with all of my reviews, I do go over the pros and cons of any robotic mower that I test. So, let's get the cons out of the way first. So, the first thing is that this mower is not four-wheel drive. It's two wheel drive. And for me, my lawn is flat. I don't have any hills. I've got a clear pathway down. It's no problem. It just works perfectly. Yes, I had to put a plastic ramp there to go over the stones because the dolly wheel here that won't go over stones or a gravel driveway. It would just dig in. But as I mentioned earlier, Terry Mo are Terramo are are producing and in the process of producing a four-wheel drive with wheels that turn at the front as well. So, I would be super excited to test that out.

[01:11:25]I wouldn't test that out here. I would test that out on my neighbor's farm to really give that four-wheel drive a good test here. But for my back garden, my backyard here, this terramote is absolutely fantastic. But it's not four-wheel drive, and you have to be aware of that. So, if you're expecting this to cross a gravel driveway to go out and cut another lawn, it's not going to do that. The other slight negative with this one is the power supply. So, if I just show you the power supply, I don't know whether it's just the one that I received, uh, it's a block. It comes with a block and that plugs into your socket. But that will go into my outdoor socket, but then I can't close the lid on it because it's too wide. The the plug is too wide and it won't close.

[01:12:06]So, what some other robotic mowers do, they have a standard plug on this end and they have the transformer midway through the lead there. Uh, but this one doesn't have it on, it has it here, and that makes it difficult for me to close the lid to make my plug watertight. I did say I'd tell you how long the lead was from the charging station to the end there. It's around 10 m. So, a 10 m lead provided with that, which is fantastic.

[01:12:30]That's nice and long. Okay. Another slight minus point with the Terramo is the fact that it won't mow at night. It will only mow from sunrise to sunset in the evening. Um although it does have that LED light just to help it when there's low light, but it won't mow in the dark as with any other camerag guided robotic mower.

[01:12:49]So that really is the only negative with this robotic mower that I could find. So what about the pros then? So the pros of this one is the simplicity. Well, it's simplicity and the navigation. Both of them really are standout points with this robotic mower. So in terms of setting this up, super super simple. No RTK stations, of course. No boundary wires to put down either. Uh you just take it out the box, let it map your lawn, and that's it. Schedule it to go out and cut. You can even adjust the height remotely as well. It has that remote uh height and it is that tri vision camera, the terra vision uh that Terry Mo call it on the front here. Uh really really fantastic. The AI technology is beyond belief with this one. It's so much better than some of the other robotic mowers that I've tested that are camera guided only. It really is very very accurate and you won't be disappointed. You've also got the night light on there as well, the LED light. The navigation is good. The app is good as well. Um, you're getting one year of 4G data provided with this as well, and it's very, very reasonable if you want to continue that after your first year as well. Build quality very, very good. Really does feel premium build quality this one. Uh, if I'm comparing it to some of the other brands there, you've got that 20 cm cutting deck there or 8 in uh, with those blades on the bottom there. And as I mentioned, that deck adjust, safety key as well.

[01:14:12]Just everything about this mower um is very very impressive in terms of how simple it is to set up and its navigation as well. Uh the app is very intuitive. You have all those different options um that you can use to adjust this to get it exactly right for your lawn. All those different types of no-go zones, pathways, um mowing zones. So even if this doesn't detect grass, you can set it up to mow that area in case that grass comes back. It just works brilliantly well. Um, you're not going to be disappointed with this robotic mower.
