MAGIC FACTORY 1/48 F4U-1D CORSAIR "WHATS INSIDE"Added:
Hi everyone, it's Andy from Hobby Headquarters and I've got an exciting new airplane kit from Magic Factory to share with you today. So, this is a brand new one. This is in 48 scale. Like I said, this is the F4U1D Corsair from Magic Factory. And if you're familiar with Magic Factory, you know that their other Corsair that came out was absolutely beautiful. And this one, I think, will be no different. It has cardigraph decals inside. And 48 scale, of course, really popular scale for this. So, this will be a great addition that if you're doing Corsaires, I think you'll really like this one right here. So, what we're going to do is we're going to take it over to the workbench. We're going to open it up and show you all the parts inside. So, let's get started.
Okay, here we are. Here's the the box art for the brand new Magic Factory F4U1D Corsair cardigraph decals. First of all, I want to point out to you and also a few other of the little options that are inside the the airplane. This being the best one, I think, is that uh you have the ability to build it either with the wings in the folded position or in the the standard flying position. And there's also going to be some photo edetch and some mass inside there as well. Okay. Okay. And then on the other side, I think they have just a quick look at some of the decal variants as you can see right there. But now, let's take a look at the plastic. And I just have to point out to there's a lot of plastic in this box. I was opening up all the bags getting ready to film that and I noticed there is a ton of plastic and detail inside. So, very excited to show you this. Okay, let's start off with actually start off with the beast brew here. Uh, this is the fuselage. I just grab that first to show you guys the detail in it. We're going to get zoomed in here really, really close.
That way you can see all of the rivet detail.
Very nicely done. Got pan back here towards the back.
even right down to the little uh piano hinge right there for that uh access part. Very nicely done.
Show you all the close-up pictures here of some of the detail cuz like I said, it just really struck me. It's very, very nicely done.
Okay. So, there is our very first sprew.
This is, I said, the peace brew.
Grab the wing sections out next. And um there actually are two sets of wings in here. One for the folded, one for the unfolded. And this is one of the parts that just struck me is just wow. Look at the detail on this. So, we're going to kind of pan the entire thing so you can see it. Hold it at an angle here. Just kind of slowly go over the back here or the bottom, I should say.
Just a beautiful, beautiful kit.
We pan over to the top of the wing.
some of the other little parts there.
And there we go. Okay. So, you see this one right here? This is the the top and bottom of the wing um in the regular flying position. And then here you're going to see this is also included in the kit. This is the CP sprew. This is the the folded wing version of it. So, same incredible detail as you can see right here, but then all broken up so that the the wings can be folded that if you want to put it in that that type of look like it's on the carrier.
If there's anything on the bottom of these right here, a little bit on the bottom of that. And I guess that's where the the wheel wells will line up.
So there you go. So now you've seen the fuselage and the two different types of wing that are included.
Then this piece is on top. So here is front cowl.
the detail inside. There we go. And then we have the D sprew here with some of the detail.
There's the 50 cals, the ammunition for that.
And that is because all those wings uh parts of the wing are openable. So then here is a stiffener inside there too. If you decide to put the wings in the down position, the flying. And then next up we've got here's the stiffener right here that if you decide to put the wings in the up position, this will keep it from sagging or anything on that on it. Then here's some of the other parts.
And this is also like the ends of the wing too because obviously when you open the wing up, you want to have some detail on there. And that is included as well.
Nicely done.
And got the clear parts here.
show you up close all of the clear parts.
Okay, those are the canopies. And now we're going to actually take a look at the AP sprew here. This is the one that has uh the engine inside of it here. And you can see also weighted tires.
And you'll notice too there are two different tread patterns. This is one and this is another here.
Show you the edge on it.
We got some landing gear pieces in here.
And then on to the engine cylinders.
There we go. Okay, that's nice looking right there.
Next up, we've got some more parts like drop tank, uh the actual parts of the propeller.
Go.
Okay, now we have some more of the smaller parts here. We've got a couple of bombs on here and some rockets and some different pieces to the propeller as well. At least two blades of the propeller.
and half of a drop tank. So, plus the part with this right here. So, you get two of the N2 sprews. So, rockets, palms, and total of four of the blades. Then, we've got in one sprew.
Looks like it's got some different cockpit detail.
and parts of the the cockpit and a couple of drop tanks there.
Just like that. And then just a couple of other little tiny sprews here. Some more detail. Here's another cockpit piece with an instrument panel.
that. And then this piece right here, the L sprew.
It too has a couple of extra parts.
And now we're going to open up this thing. You're going to have the decals, the photo edge, and the uh the masking sheet. Okay. So, to start off, we've got the masking sheet here. Looks like it'll do the canopy as well as the wheels.
There we go. Here is a little bit of photo edetch that's included inside. So, we got the seat belts primarily and a few other little pieces on there. And then, as it said in the instructions, these are cardigraph decals made in Italy. And this is nice. So, what they've done is they've given you, you know, the stars and bars here and then a whole group of stencled letters multiple times over so you can pick your own number that you want to put on it.
We've got some of the uh the other symbols and then of course standard markings too, propeller tips and a whole bunch of stencile markings right here too. Look at all that. You get quite a few inside. So beautiful cardigraph decals inside. And you're also going to get this big sheet here.
Unfold it here. These are yeah one to one scale if not really really close uh of the markings that that you are included in here. And then of course you can make your own with those stencil decals. So this is a big big piece here that show calls out all the paint colors and where all the stencils go and of course the markings themselves. So that is included inside.
So the only other thing we have to look at now is the instructions which I'm going to move the camera and we'll take a look at those next. Okay. So we're going to open these up now. We've got the camera moved. We won't spend a heck of a lot of time. Remember that if you want to look at anything longer, you can always just hit pause on whatever device you're watching this on. color call outs of paint, all the sprus that should be included inside, and some basic modeling instructions. So, now I will be quiet for a couple of moments and let you look at the the way this kit goes together.
Oh, also to point out too, they've got some aftermarket parts, some resin 3D printed parts that are for the other, you know, type of Corsair, but they all share the same parts in the ground crew and stuff. So, these are super super detailed and incredible looking. Uh, that if you really want to up it a little bit, that is definitely way to go.
And there it is. Those is the uh the final steps into putting this together.
And then shows how the masks go on the wheels as well as the canopy there. So there you go guys. There is a look at the F4U1D Corsair from Magic Factory in 48 scale. These are actually on the way and should be arriving fairly soon here in the United States. So, it looks like it's a beautiful kit. Well, there you go, guys. There is a look at Magic Facto's brand new course air kit. Uh, from what I understand, these are obviously they're done because we have an actual real sample of it right here.
And they are on their way to us on our next container. So, we're talking just maybe a couple more weeks and we should have them here in stock here in the United States. Looks like it's a beautiful kit, like I said earlier. And I think it's going to be a very popular one as well.
