>> The one with the headlights on?
>> She's just sitting on foot.
She's got black t-shirt, shorts, ear wraps, scarf thing, and a whole big cart.
>> Well, she just went down the parking lot.
>> [clears throat] >> Howdy.
>> Hi.
>> Is everything fine?
>> Um my cart keeps spilling.
>> Where are you trying to take all this to?
>> Uh home, to my husband.
>> Ma'am, I don't think your husband is cool with all this. If he was, he he'd be here. But look, becoming a shoplifter is not a valuable income strategy because it usually costs you more in the end.
Home?
>> You should have came with me if you was going to film me out here with this much stuff.
>> You don't have a lot of it in bags. Did you pay for all of it?
>> believe in plastic bags and I forgot my reusable ones at home.
>> I got you.
>> So.
>> Did you pay for everything?
>> Yes, sir. I gave the lady the receipt that I had with which was my I had to do three transactions on this because he kept adding stuff. He said, "Oh, go get some pumpkins for the kids." He said, "Oh, go get this."
>> Where is he at?
>> He's at home with the kids. And I need to get home because it's bedtime. I don't know why she can literally go in there and check the receipts.
>> Okay. Do you have ID on you?
>> Uh some somewhere in this mess.
But officer, I need to get home. Like I I did not steal. I am in enough trouble for driving. I did not steal.
>> What kind of driving stuff are you in trouble for?
>> Just, you know, hitting the yellow line like all the old people in this town do.
>> I got you. Well, you're not old though.
>> Exactly.
>> You're young.
>> Yeah. I I barely touched the yellow line and he's all, "Stay in between the mustard and the mayonnaise."
>> I've used that line before.
>> I mean, I thought it was funny, but not the second time it happened.
Jesus Christ.
>> Can you see the brake lights and can you see the camera?
What's going on here? What What What Where is the uh What >> [laughter] >> They A lot of times, they try to distract the officers by bringing up something else, so they won't focus on the obvious stuff that's in front of them.
But, I thought she was going to talk about, you know, I got a DUI or I reckless driving.
Uh I got my license suspended for this or whatever. She said, "They're >> [laughter] >> They mad that she touching the yellow line."
>> [laughter] >> What?
That's not enough. You need a bigger distraction, ma'am. That's not going to work, okay? You need to like uh set somebody's house on fire, so you can't >> [laughter] >> can't just Uh that don't That's too small of a distraction, all right? Go bigger next time.
Let Let's go.
>> No, I'm just going to try to get this stuff in my car and go home to my children.
>> Where's your ID at?
>> I have my ID.

>> But you're stuck here because you don't have a ride.
>> No, I'm not stuck here. I don't know where my car is.
I got to park on this side. But I think I might have parked on that side.
>> Well, the the story is is that for one you can't check all this stuff out in electronics. Is this the same lady you've been looking for?

>> There is not any criminal offense because I'm not a criminal. My My grandfather was a Chicago detective and that's who I live with.
>> It It don't mean nothing, okay? Cuz you got family who's police, it doesn't mean you you won't come in here still, okay?
Do we understand? Like, just because one family member does something, doesn't mean the next family member is going to follow around that same line. You know?
One kid can't be in school and this teacher say, uh you failed the test. I I I didn't fail the test. My sister gets straight A's. Like, that don't So, you know? Like >> [laughter] >> So, what? It has no effect on you.

>> Okay.
>> But this is ridiculous.
>> This is all that you paid for.

Uh it's it's a strategy, stupidness, um bravery, um you know, no respect for others, um no care in the world, um a half a brain, and and a good memory, you know, because when you come out of the store with a whole bunch of stolen things, you know, you should at least remember where you parked your car. I mean, that's it.
>> [laughter] [laughter] >> To come out with a carts full of stuff and nowhere to put it would be it would be a shame, you know? Maybe you could have got away if, you know, you'd have found your car in time.
>> [laughter] >> But but sometimes, you know, um God wants you to suffer consequences and he moves the car. You probably parked there.
But then he moved it while he was in the store. And >> [laughter] >> So it ain't about your memory at all.
