This policy serves as a brutal reality check for the "global elite" who thought their credentials made them immune to political volatility. It proves that even the most highly educated professionals are ultimately disposable when nationalistic bureaucracy takes precedence over talent.

New rule will force you to leave AmericaAdded:
Okay, so we've got to talk about this.
That's that change to the green card. Uh says new rule requires most green card applicants uh to apply from outside the USA. So basically, you got to leave the country. Uh I want to look at some reaction to this stuff and share my thoughts and I want to get yours also on this. Uh this is from Representative um James Wakenshaw. says Trump's US CIS just told half a million immigrants who entered the US lawfully to leave the country and start over. For years, Trump said he supported legal immigration process and people just had to follow the rules. That was always a lie. And again, um this is if you want to change your status, basically you have to leave the country, which uh becomes impossible for many people. Uh let me show you this. This is actually also Fox News and look at how they talk about it.
>> There is an enormous change in US immigration policy. Tonight, the Trump administration says any noncitizens in the country who have applied for a green card must leave the country indefinitely, even if here legally and regardless of whether they have a spouse or children. Then they have to wait for their green card application to be processed outside of the country. We'll follow up on that. And it's interesting how they lay out like all of the ramifications um be it you know you have children you have a job or or otherwise and again we're talking about people who are in the US legally and and they want to change their status um while this is happening right and I just want to show you how how Fox and this Brett Bar and there's different you know levels of craziness on Fox at least Brett talks like a normal person um this is then what Trump is doing at the moment okay we're talking about Golden Dome for the White House basically signaling they want to spend all their money on the military or were threatening Greenland again, right? And we talked before in the last video. He's also uh threatening talk show hosts, right? Steven Coar. So, there's so there's that. Um this is another point of view on it. This is um a lawyer in immigration. You can see what he has to say.
>> Status just got a lot more dangerous.
Immigration just released a shocking new policy memo emphasizing that adjustment of status is not a right. They are now no longer saying that adjustment of status is a normal process to get a green card and they are expecting everybody to process for their green cards at a US embassy abroad, not adjust your status. This is a >> Now I want to bring up a point too is that this is something that the Trump people did um when my wife and I were applying for green card for her because she's a Korean national. I'm a US citizen and we got married, right? And the Trump people actually basically defunded uh offices around the world. So they made it even more difficult. So if if they do this again where they'll say, "Okay, you have to leave the country and then you leave the country and then there's like basically less workers to process things quicker, right? So it's just going to be really really slow and then there's less offices to go to."
Basically closing consulants or otherwise. Uh it'll be a massive problems because legally that what they'll do is they'll say, "Oh well, you know, you you can still apply to green card. You can still apply to come back, but oh by the way, we're only open once a week or not at all." Like that kind of thing. a huge philosophical shift for US immigration because for years adjustment of status through marriage inside the United States has been very common since the time I have been born 50 plus years ago. I don't want to age myself now USCIS and that would have affected me.
Um I'm from Vietnam. I was born there.
As you guys know, I lost my family at the war and I got my citizenship very very late um in my life because it it was a whole fiasco. The US military brought me without my choice. Um and and and there's that. So um and and it's not just me guys. This will affect a lot of people like really really a lot of people. And it it goes against the um spirit of of what we will want. Again, think about people who just get married.
um think about uh scientists or nurses or doctors that we need in the country.
Um there's lots of reasons you know why and this is all legally right is basically telling immigration officers to heavily scrutinize every adjustment case. The memo specifically tells immigration officers to look negatively at people who overstayed their visas, people with status violations, people with unauthorized employment, people with conduct inconsistent with their original visa purpose. Now, immigration is also emphasizing preconceived intent much more heavily. So, that old 90-day rule, wait 90 days and then get married about that we always talk about, that may be down in the garbage now. We honestly do not know yet or even know if USCIS is going to effectively ignore that 90-day rule and do something completely different because this memo strongly suggests they may start asking what was your real intention when you came into the USA. Did you really intend to come temporarily or did you intend to stay permanently all along even if you married 180 days after you came here to the US?
So this means entering on a tourist visa and later marrying a US citizen is going to be much more heavily scrutinized.
People with overstays, unauthorized employment, questionable travel history, inconsistent social media, prior violations, inconsistent statements could all potentially face much more strenuous questioning at an adjustment interview. And the memo even says applicants may need outstanding equities to overcome these negative factors. And that is a real dangerous phrase because what qualifies as outstanding equities?
Who the hell knows? So my argument is immigration cannot simply invent new requirements through policy memos. So I expect major litigation over this. So, basically, they expect a lot of lawsuits and the income thing, as you guys know, Trump is trying to sell uh the million-doll gold visa, and I think there's even a $5 million gold visa thing. So, a lot of this, I think, is probably a way for Trump to try to, you know, basically extract money from people, as you guys already know that Trump does. Uh, let me show you a little bit more here. This person says, um, oh, uh, this is a big, pretty awful change to the law. It means that if you came here legally on a visa, built a life, uh maybe had a spouse, kids, job, none of that matters. If you want to apply for a green card, you will have to leave the country. Sounds reasonable until you realize that for some people, leaving can trigger a three or 10ear bar on re-entry. So, this actually is a trap.
I'm sure they'll be pushed back in the courts because this is simply ridiculous. So, as you can see, a way that they would structure this thing is it would basically force people out and then no real means to get back in, right? And maybe that's what the Trump people want. Maybe they want to break up families, break up marriages and things.
Maybe they want to fire as many people as they can. And I guess that would go along with Elon Musk, how they want to replace you all with AI. Um, this is Ted Lou what he has to say. He says, "Dear White House, your new green card, stupid green card policy will help competitors such as China and Russia. The US will have a significant exodus of top researchers, scientists, and industry leaders in multiple fields ranging from medicine to technology to advanced manufacturing, right? Um there's so many people uh for example, you come to school in US uh you you know get your degree, you could be a doctor, get PhD, engineer, whatever, right? and you go to work for a US company and you're like, "Okay, I'm doing everything legally.
Went went to school. I work for a company and and now I'm contributing to society, right?" And and actually, honestly, the betterment of of the world. And the Trump people always like, "Oh, we definitely got to beat China and Russia, but you're basically chasing people away." And then I want to show you something like this. So, it says, "I recently returned to Shenzhen for the first time in 7 years. There has never been a better time to visit China." And in fact, my wife and I um we used to live in in Shenzhen. It's it's a pretty fun city and it's kind of like the Silicon Valley of China. So this is what this person has to say. He just put this out today. Um a few observation and tips. So one, it's much easier to get around as a foreigner, right? So thing things are much easier than they were say seven years ago. Uh another thing he says Shenzhen is beautiful now. Some of the most some some of the best urban parks I've experienced. Good bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure. He said cyberpunk towers, so things are really modern and a popable energy and ambition and a migrant population from every corner of China. So it's just a a booming city basically. A lot of people are moving there. Um the quality of life is higher than much of the west. So it's a good place to live. He's saying excellent affordable food, clean and new buildings, beautiful parks and nature, easy access via highspeed rail uh to the broader region. And perhaps most importantly, it is extremely safe. you don't need to carry the cognitive load of your personal safety like you do in major US cities. So then you know then on contrast the Trump people and you know his policies he wants to chase as many people as he can and they don't really invest in the infrastructure in USA. It's just all about the military because I guess we need golden domes and such like that. I mean you can see the contrast here. They're talking about safety uh public transportation parks this kind of stuff. I show this stuff on my channel say in Korea on our vlog channel. you can see videos on that. But it's not just China, it's not just Korea. It's multiple countries around the world um have sort of policies in place that are more conducive to humans.
Uh France, Paris is really good for bicycles and such. The Netherlands is really good. Norway is really good at investing in infrastructure. There's multiple countries that that do this.
It's not just Asia. It's multiple countries do this. I just want to show you like different points of view.
>> I think that being able to be an entrepreneur is much easier here than it is in other places.
Fuian, the central urban area of Shenzhen, the core engine of the greater Bay Area, is attracting people from around the world with this worldclass business environment.
My name is Zachary Haney. I have been in China now for probably about 26 years.
Most of the time has actually been here in Shenzhen. Since I've been in China, I've done all sorts of different things, usually having mostly to do with trade and some with product development. And right now I have my own company that where I developed some products that go along with fitness and trying to help people just live a healthier life.
>> And I just want to give you a different point of view. So again, this gentleman's in Shenzhen. He's basically starting his his company. You can see right there. And he's talking about health and and fitness and exercise, that kind of stuff. And essentially, you don't have to be in the USA to follow your dreams. Like this person is uh in China of all places. Um, I write about this stuff in my book and it's not just China, it's multiple countries around the world. You have to find the place that that makes sense for you. Doesn't necessarily mean leaving the country entirely. Um, you might find a community in the US that is more suitable and more comfortable for you. And it's it's going to be different for everyone. What what what makes sense. Um, but this is just the reality. Sometimes you have to to go to a new environment where there's people who are more conducive to pushing forward. Uh because basically what it is is Trump and his you know band of manga people uh they just want to go backwards and drag everyone down with them. And you know it's sad to see the decline. I I didn't think honestly I'd ever see it in this way. But you know it is what it is and I just try to give you a different point of view and and just talk reality of of it. Um and it's not just you know you don't have to run in China. It's not the only place. There's lots of places in Europe. Um some people go to Latin America. Actually many pe people Mexican Americans these days go to either Canada or Mexico because it's the closest right uh some they go to UK some go to you know Spain Portugal the list goes on you know there's multiple places that people are going and that's actually one of the hot topics these days is chasing away talent um from the USA is is just a a terrible policy move all around. Uh so that's my thoughts on this. I'd like to hear yours and I'll catch you on the next
