Genuine repentance in ministry requires complete accountability, including making restitution to victims and accepting consequences, rather than continuing to platform oneself as a teacher or leader while denying or minimizing past misconduct.

Jonathan Welton Says THIS about Jane Doe....Added:
Right here in this post from 2025, Jonathan is saying that he was making restitution.
With who? Who at that time were you making restitution with? It wasn't Eric Greggson.
It wasn't Jane Doe. This lady here says, "Uh, do you still maintain that Jane Doe's account of her experience is quote 100% BS?" Is he saying that what happened in that Airbnb, according to Jane Doe, did not happen July of 2023.
And two years later, you hadn't changed that. You hadn't retracted that. You still called her testimony, her allegation that she brought against you BS.
>> Wake up and win.
>> What's up, guys? Welcome back to another episode of the Wake Up and Win podcast.
I'm your host, Bla1. Let's dive right in. Today we are going to be doing a quick followup on the story on the Jonathan Welton story. Let's take a look first and foremost at the basic timeline of what went down with Jonathan Welton and the scandal that right now the biggest issue is him trying to come back to ministry is what pushed this story forward. Here is a basic timeline of the Jonathan Welton scandal. So 2008 to 2010, the first known allegations of grooming and sexual misconduct emerged while associated with global awakening.
A restoration process was attempted and ultimately failed. Later, Jonathan claimed a dramatic salt to Paul transformation and publishes the eyes of honor as evidence of lasting change.
Now, obviously, if you as you guys can see, I threw this I threw the full-on timeline into chat GPT to try to get the main points. Um, if you watch the video, you'll see that we did on the last one we played uh what's his name? The uh super it's supernatural guy Sid Roth interviewed Jonathan Welton who said, "Oh, in a matter of days I was completely healed of my lust issues."
Well, the problem is that it wasn't just lust issues. It was actually him creating private groups with young ladies so that he could use his spiritual influence to then pray sexually upon them, which that is a whole different issue than just, oh, I've got a little bit of a lust issue or um you know, I'm having a problem in my marriage and crossing boundaries outside of my marriage. Those are problems.
Trust me, those are problems, especially for anybody who claims to be a minister.
But the much larger problem is when that minister uses his ability, his spiritual influence and manipulates those people under his power and prays upon them sexually. That is a dangerous person and should not be able to continue in ministry. But guess what? He did immediately. So he did not follow through on the restoration process. And what happened? Well, in 2000 uh in 2013, well, first he published the Eyes of Honor, and he used that as a platform for him to promote the fact that he's fully healed and that he's now the expert on purity. Well, 2013 to 2018, he establishes what's called the Welton Academy. It's a global online school. At this stage of the game, I actually had interfaced with Welton a little bit back then because I wrote a book and he wrote a uh he wrote a a uh endorsement of my book at that time. I had no idea that this guy was doing these things when I reached out to him, but little I mean, I've learned a lot about the charismatic ministry world in the last few years, unfortunately and sadly. But Welton led the Welton Academy. More than 12 women eventually come forward alleging grooming, harassment, and abuse during this period. So, he was utilizing his spiritual influence and power as well as the fact that he was their boss to groom 12 women and to basically sexually prey upon them. By 2017 and 2018, staff and leaders begin confronting Jonathan as evidence accumulates. Okay. 2018 through 21, an accountability board is formed.
Jonathan underos a psychological evaluation and is reportedly diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder with ongoing concerns about manipulation and lack of genuine change. Now, we also have um a testimony from Eric Gregson, former staff member of Jonathan Welton, that he was also on the restoration board at the time from 2018, I believe, to 2020 or 2021. and he says that Jonathan was not only diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder but also sociopathy which is next level. So then board members okay Jonathan at that time claims Tony Robbins fully transformed his life and changed his life. This was actually in 2017 I believe that he said this and he would get a lot of his staff members to listen to Tony Robbins and he said that helped me. It changed my life. I'm no longer gonna be a lustful man etc. Well, it didn't really change him, but 2018 through 21 2021, uh there's a board and they cons they consult psychologists and the consulting psychologists ultimately conclude that he has not changed and they resign or object to his release.
2021 through 2023, Jonathan Welton launches books, teachings, and the bulletproof husband. Uh this is the moment where he presents bulletproof husband as the thing that finally transformed him. And this is interesting because again first he says he had a salt to Paul moment in 20 2013 or 2011 or whenever that was. And then he says that he has another transformation with the Tony Robbins situation. And then again uh from 2020 to 2023 he says the bulletproof husband program which was a secular program finally changed his life. Well, what did he do with that? He went on to become a bulletproof husband uh coach for husbands. In essence, giving them counseling on their marriage and on the how to be a good husband. And he wrote a book called The Bulletproof Husband. This is the thing over and over that Jonathan would do is he would claim full transformation and then platform himself based on that transformation to be the expert of how to be a transformed man. The problem is when you've sexually prayed upon 12 women that are in your staff or ministry and then you did it also years before the first time you were in ministry, you are now no longer qualified for ministry in my opinion.
And I think it's a biblical uh reasoning to look at that and it's part of it is just common sense, but we can talk about that. So this is just the recap of the timeline. Eyes of Honor, Tony Robbins, Bulletproof Husband.
Apparently, all three of those changed his life. Uh, survivors argue that there's never been a full public acknowledgement of the abuse or comprehensive repentance toward victims.
And this was written by chat GPT on this part because I asked it to throw this in here to put together a full uh just kind of recap of that history there. The three claim transformations is the pattern. three restoration of uh narratives, two decades of reoccurring allegations with former leaders, psychologists, and survivors repeatedly questioning whether genuine repentance and change ever occurred. I would not say two decades. I would say uh close to, I guess. I mean, we're looking at we're looking at from 2008 through 2018 where the allegations are reported that that's how it went down. So, this is where we're at today. Now, Jonathan has come out since that six and a half hour video and made multiple posts or a couple posts. He first post he did, he said, "I'm aware that this there's a six and a half hour video about me." Um, and then he goes on to basically say that he has been repentant and he realizes that uh he doesn't have anything to fight about in this video. And he basically says, "Good job on the hard work on it, John Mark. Good job, Ron Caner." Is honestly a very very strange strange post. and then he posts underneath it, hey, here was my apology video to the staff that I did a few years back. Here was my apology video. Well, the reality is that most of these staff members, they didn't necessarily want just a an apology. Many of these staff members wanted Jonathan to stop platforming himself and trying to be in ministry again and again and again. And that's the issue with somebody like Jonathan Welton, in my opinion, is that there's this continual addiction to ministry. I want to look at this uh this quick um part of the Roy report that came out.
And of course we have I want to look at this part of the story though because back in 2014 through 2018 the main Jane Doe who spoke up now every single one of these 12 women has different stories and experiences with John Welton either these one to two minute long hugs and when they would express that they were uncomfortable like full frontal hugs he would say it's their problem that they have issues with purity or they have issues with father uh with a father wound or they don't understand how to be loved from a father. This is classic grooming techniques to utilize spiritual fathering to break down the walls and break down proper boundaries from young women to see how far you can get with them. And that's what he did with many of these women. He would hold their hands suddenly. He would put their his hands on their legs, things like this.
Kiss them on the cheeks, pull them in close, um had try to get them to sit on his lap, all of these different things.
very very terrible, uncomfortable and and evil and I believe illegal types of activities with some of these women like crossing boundaries that are not just sin but also you know lead into the common uh lead into the conversation of clergy sexual abuse. But going to the main Jane Doe who spoke up, she was from another country. She actually was brought in by Welton and he gave her a lot of responsibility, but he immediately started predatory behavior upon her. And one of the stories that happened later in her time with the Welton Academy is he actually brought her to an Airbnb with one other person on a trip to Ohio. And on this trip, he ended up texting her and getting her to come into the room, which wasn't out of the ordinary for him to bring to have women come into his room.
He would leave the door open apparently, but it wasn't out of the ordinary and he made it very very um normal. And that's the thing with these types these ministry type situations. We see the same thing with Mike Bickl where Mike Bickl of IHOP Kansas City uh did similar types of things where he would get these girls, these women to come to the back room uh with the door closed, Mike Bicklwood. But people just thought, well, Mike is so pure. Mike wouldn't do anything wrong. We trust Mike, etc. And that's what caused people to not speak up. Well, it's very similar with Jonathan Welton where he would get these women to come in the room, travel with him, all these things. So, she came in the room and they talked. Well, it ended up that he got up, he closed the door, and he ended up uh seeking to have a sexual relationship with her in that moment. And he pushed the boundaries on a bed. And what he did was I would call it essay. And because he's clergy, I'd call it clergy essay. You can read the story or you can listen to the full story on John Mark Baker, the of the minor prophets entire six and a half hour podcast about this or you can read it in the Roy report that I'll link below. But this part of the story is where Jonathan basically uh crosses such intense boundaries that she knows something is wrong, something is not right here.
Well, Jonathan's response to this in 2023 is something I want to point out right now. And then I also want to point out Jonathan's response in 2025. And then I want to point out what Jonathan is doing right now. So, first and foremost, let's actually go and look at what Jonathan Welton said in response to this allegation here. Here's part of the story. When she resisted, she says Welton told her, "You are my daughter and I love you as a father." Okay. In a statement, Welton disputed and said, "On this trip, I invited a staff member to come hang out in my room where we laid on the bed together and cuddled and talked for about 15 minutes. This was wrong and completely inappropriate of me, and I own that, but there was zero sexual contact or conduct, and in no way was she compelled by force." Well, look, what she says is that this happened exactly like he said, but then he began.
So, first he pulled her close to him. He closed the door. He locked the door.
Then he pulled her close to him on the bed and then he began to kiss her. Um, and that was and she froze. He kissed her on the neck. And so that is what she alleges happened. He said this did not happen. But here's the thing. Back in 2023 when the Royport article came out, Jonathan Welton responded by saying regarding uh Jane Do's story, he said that's BS. And he used the words. I mean he straight up said the words. He says, "The problem with this account is that it is 100% BS.
The only part that is true is that I haven't owned it or apologized. I haven't because it's not true."
Okay, there you go. So, Welton in this account, he says it's 100% BS.
So, it makes you wonder. And actually, I was looking at some of these uh responses to his I was looking at some of these responses to his post. So, I'll go up and look at the post in a second, but this lady here says, "Uh, do you still maintain that Jane Doe's account of her experience is quote 100% BS."
And this person says, "This has been asked so many times. This has remained unanswered.
Each time it has been asked, that is telling, guys. That is a problem.
Jonathan Welton still has not still has not fixed that statement. Is he saying that what happened in that Airbnb according to Jane Doe did not happen? Is he saying, "Oh yeah, we just cuddled and I did not pull her close to me. I did not close and lock the door and I did not kiss her anywhere." Is that what he's saying? And when she froze uh that Yeah. Is that is that what Jonathan Welton is saying? But apparently, you know, you can these guys, what they do is they only admit what they are caught doing. They only admit a certain level of what they're caught doing. And that's what I see here that it's likely like this this person, Jane Doe, has absolutely nothing to gain from this. In fact, she lost pretty much everything.
She lost I believe I I'm trying to remember the story, but I think she even I don't even know if she's still a Christian. I know there's a few that are still Christians and I know there are a few that are not. I cannot 100% remember if she's one of the ones that's not, but she lost a lot and she's got nothing to gain from telling the truth except for having a clear conscience, which it would be nice. Wouldn't it be nice if these ministers and pastors desired to live with a clear conscience? Wouldn't that be nice? Wouldn't that be nice?
Well, anyway, so Welton is really good at the things that he says like up here.
I'm not going to read the entire statement, but I'm going to put here because he talks about um he said it was explained to me from the beginning of the process of the restoration process in 2018 that he would clean up and it would clean up his mess and go by layer by layer. First, Jonathan and God, Jonathan and Karen, Jonathan and former staff, Jonathan and former students, Jonathan and the public.
So, John said, "Although I wanted to follow the process and I wanted to clean up my mess, I didn't make progress on repenting for a long time, I didn't know what repenting of what I was repenting of. Sexual sin, lying, narcissism, manipulation, all of the above, and 100 other things. Unfortunately, I came to the former staff layer to try to clean up my mess multiple times when I was still not what I would consider a repentant person or a repentant Jonathan. After many false starts, the former staff layer and board members became completely exhausted and disillusioned from never experiencing a real repentant Jonathan. Well, yeah, of course they did. Yeah, even the psychologist quit in 2021 and said there's no progress at all. this guy, you know, there like Greg uh Eric Gregson actually says of Jonathan Welton that the psychologist who diagnosed him or was working with him on the on the board said it was the worst case of narcissistic uh personality disorder I believe is how she said it that this psychologist had ever seen. That's bad.
Um, he says, "In hindsight, I think I finally started repenting and healing the Karen later layer in mid 2020. Once I had finally reached that point where I could possibly been ready to go clean up the former staff layer, it seemed to me that those still walking with me that I had burned those bridges to ash over the previous three years. After hope of reconciliation seemed lost, I was advised to move on to the next layer." I believe that was a huge mistake that I made. is the reason why former um friends are still sitting here deeply wounded and concerned six years later because I stepped over that layer and kept moving forward with my life. Now, I don't think it's just because you kept moving forward with your life. I think it's because you kept moving forward in a desire for uh public impact or ministry. Like the bulletproof husband is not something that's just like this thing where it's like, "Well, I wasn't in ministry." It's like really really I mean you're basically uh counseling men on their sex lives, counseling men on their marriages, counseling men and all this different stuff. Like okay, you can call that not ministry, but you have been a minister for over two decades and now you're just doing it in a different form, in a different way. And I think that's what was what has been exhausting for your people, your former staff members going, "Dude, you haven't even reconciled and made things right. You actually called you actually called uh what happened and what your former staff member said, you called it BS." That was your response in 2023 when apparently you were um you know and when apparently you were repentant at this time but you called what she what she said about what happened 100% BS. Wait, why is it 100% if parts of it are true? And this is the part that it's hard to believe you, dude. It's hard to believe any word out of your mouth. Actually, as I'm considering their video over the last few days, something has become very clear for me. A question that I ask myself nowadays is what would the 8-year-old Jonathan want me to do? And what would the 80-year-old Jonathan want me to do? Both would absolutely want me to stop and stop and back up and take care of all the people that I hurt, especially an 80-year-old Jonathan want would deeply regret that if I didn't.
Well, well, dude, you kind of have to.
You actually have to. So, it's not like you're, oh, I need to really rethink this now. No, the reason you're forced to is the same reason why Bethl was forced to stop um Ben Armstrong from speaking at their conferences uh after what he did to Sarah. It's the same reason why all these guys have to stop because public exposure. It's not like, oh, I've really been thinking about this and I decided that I want to do the right thing. No, you've been so publicly exposed at a level that John Mark and Ron Caner did such a good job on the video that it got 80,000 views in the last 10 days. So, it's forcing a public conversation about what you've done. And we've heard from different perspectives besides just yours. And so, that's the issue. He says, "My goal is the same goal that Danny originally laid out for me. What reconciliation looks like is that there's no residue of Jonathan's mess sticking to you as you move forward. My goal is that every time you hear his name or have a memory, there's no anxiety or sense that you need to protect yourself or others from him.
From unpunishable, page 80. That book is dangerous. That book is dangerous. Like Danny's process with Ben Armstrong.
In fact, there's evidence that Bethl knew about Ben Armstrong's uh previous sexual misconduct at his former church.
There's evidence that they knew, but in Danny's book, they say they didn't know.
Well, Danny could just allege that he didn't. Who lied to you then, Danny?
But Danny released Ben Armstrong back into ministry. And there were other girls that said that even after he was released back into well after he was released back into ministry that he's still not fully been a safe person. And so you know that that remains to be seen through hopefully some kind of full investigation that's happening at Bethl.
But I don't get the impression that that's going to be completely forthright. But remains to be seen.
We'll dig in and see. But this this is what he says here. He says, "And I wanted to be clear with the public. I have not repented fully because I have failed to bring detailed specific ownership and change to those I hurt. I don't know exactly what that path ahead is, but I'm clear on my priority. So, here is the thing.
It's interesting at this time, you know, you're going to see a lot of different uh comments first of all on this this some people like, "Wow, that's so great." You know, you see this comment here, then you see uh just having a platform is the issue. Not that you didn't just specifically repent for specific situations. Yes, that's a big part of it. However, the main issue is that you have an influence or a platform at all. Repentance here would look like being an ordinary person and disappearing from public life completely. You're not losing anything by doing that. That's the humble way and godly way. Not needing to be seen or influencing others with a platform is a very healthy thing. That's exactly right, John Daniels. That is exactly right. Um here's the thing though. I disagree with this statement partly because when you say repentance here would look like being ordinary, you're not losing anything by doing that. Well, the problem is that this man has found his significance, his search for significance in has been found in being a influencer or ministry. Has there ever been a time since 2008 that Jonathan has just decided to not be public or not try to be a um big-time influencer or something like that? And I don't think that's the case. And I think it's hard for this guy to not be in ministry.
I'm going to, you know, pull up a couple of other screenshots. We have from one post uh just right after the 6.5 hour video was dropped. We have a post here of Welton saying that he has no desire at currently to be in ministry. Let me see if I can find that post here. He says, 'For seven years, I completely stepped away from public ministry to work on repentance, healing, and change.
My focus became learning how to never be that man again. At this point in my life, I have no ambition for ministry platform or influence. I regularly turn down invitations to speak, and on rare occasions, I do speak publicly. I pay my own way because I no longer want ministry tied to personal gain in any form. I have nothing to argue about and nothing to defend. I also want to thank John Mark for anyway. Okay, so he says, "At this point, I have no ambition for ministry, platform, or influence." Well, the problem is even this idea you've been doing the bulletproof husband even since after, you know, basically since Danny quote unquote released you, the psychologist quit the board. Eric Gregson was like, "Dude, you're not doing this well." Even your pastor kicked you out of church and then you just kind of went on and you jumped in the bulletproof husband, became a bulletproof husband coach, and then did kind of your ministry thing over there.
Wrote a new book called Bulletproof Husband. Now you have the answers and the keys to making everybody u you know have your testimony which was I failed a lot and now I'm better. Oh I failed a lot again and now I'm better. Here's my book about it. That's what it seems. So if he's saying at this point I have no ambition for ministry. I turn down stuff all the time. I mean he was just preaching back in January. He was just preaching uh back in January. And there was another uh whistleblower that said he was doing like a men's conference like right down the street or close to close to his house in the last month or two. So this guy is doing ministry but having no ambition for public saying he has no desire for public ministry. I mean I think you're kind of outed and you can't right now. I think you can't. Um, here's another post that I came across as well today that I thought was very, very interesting. Um, let's see. This was 2025. So, this was a bit ago, but still. All right. Here it is. Here it is right here. So, I'm going to move it on this side. Okay.
Permanently disqualified. So, this is a post from June of 2025. He says, "Not everyone is thrilled that I'm stepping back into public ministry. Some believers have adopted the belief that once a leader has failed, especially in a serious or abusive way. Yeah, abusive is a bad thing, dude. They're permanently disqualified. No redemption, no return, just done. They often point to one verse to make their case. I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. Okay, I got to pause this because I actually have never heard somebody point to this verse as a permanent disqualification for ministry. I I've never seen this verse used that way. And I'm kind of in this space where people talk about this a lot over the last two and a half years. I've literally never seen this. Nevertheless, let's go on with his uh what I'd call straw man here. Here's the issue.
They're interpreting the prize as public ministry. That's a major distortion of the text. Back up a few verses and Paul clearly using a athletic metaphors, runners, strict training, boxers. Dri talking about his ministry platform.
eternal life, heavenly crown, the reward of salvation, not a microphone or a pulpit. In fact, I actually agree with that. In fact, viewing ministry as a prize to be won is dangerous mindset.
Ministry is not a trophy. It's a function, a calling, a responsibility.
The Bible says we're part of the body of Christ. When a body gets infected, you don't just chop it off, you heal it.
Why? Because the whole body needs to be functioning again. That's where I've been getting healthy, facing my demons, making amends, and restitution. You weren't, though, dude. So, this is 20 25. And you still just two years prior had called Jane Doe's testimony BS. You called it BS publicly. That's what you called it. That's not good, man. That's not good. Like this like the royals report article was actually June June July of 2023.
And two years later, you hadn't changed that. You hadn't retracted that. You still called her testimony, her allegation that she brought against you BS. And that was prior to all the other women coming public like this. But now because everybody's story has gone public like this, dude, you're stuck, bro. You're stuck having to actually own it for real.
Anyway, let's keep going. Um, he says he's been healthy getting facing his demons, making an amends in restitution, digging deep, bleeding in the dark so I could stand in the light again. Okay, this is really great writing and stuff, but yeah, you don't have to like it. You don't have to prove it, but I'm not here for applause. I'm here because I'm alive. I've got breath in my lungs and fire in my bones, and God's not done with me yet, dude. Okay, so this was one year ago saying that um he does not believe in the idea of permanent disqualification for ministry. He doesn't believe in it. Okay. And he uses a straw man argument, which I say I I've never seen this used for that. I've never seen this verse used for that. And then he destroys the the straw man argument uh by dissecting the verse properly and in context, but it doesn't change the fact that what he's done makes him dangerous to the body of Christ. That's just the case. So then you you fast forward a year later once he's fully outed and he says, "I have no desire to do ministry. I have no desire to be in ministry. I have no desire for a platform. Well, just months ago, you were on a platform. Saw you preaching of like we put it in the last video. You were preaching. Um I don't remember what the church was called. Gate City, something. I can't remember what city it was in. Uh but yeah, so you seem to be believing that you should still be preaching and be a part of ministry.
What is the issue with that? What is the big issue with it? The issue with it is you have to be trustworthy.
Right here in this post from 2025, Jonathan is saying that he was making restitution with who? Who at that time were you making restitution with? It wasn't Eric Gregson.
It wasn't Jane Doe. In fact, you lied and told her to delete all of her texts.
And then whenever she came forward to the Royals report and told her story, you called it BS. Dude, you weren't making restitution facing your demons. Like, I mean, maybe you were. I don't know. I don't know.
But you weren't making amends and you weren't making restitution.
Doesn't seem that way, you know. Um, I want to bring in one more one more thing, actually, one more post that I thought was uh interesting and concerning. Both interesting and concerning. Okay, here's another one. So this was um this was 123 2024 to his email uh list. Um why am I returning to ministry? 123 2024. So he' been he'd been trying to return to ministry for a long time. So he's like 2024 he's saying he's returning to ministry. Then again in June 2025 he's saying I'm returning to ministry. Uh and then he's got this video about why he's returning to ministry. Then he's got this thing called indestructible leaders. It's an interesting It's an interesting uh title, frankly, because it's like when you want to lead, you will do everything in your power to keep leading, to find a way back into leadership, which leadership should be servantthood, not just influence. It should be servantthood. But anyway, I just find it interesting that he keeps finding like basically being an apologist for coming back into ministry for himself. Um, let me go back to this other one that I wanted to show you because this one was the one.
Oh, here's another one I thought was interesting, too. He has this narcissism crash course. I don't know what date this is from, but this is another type of situation where I'm saying like he finds ways to use what he was diagnosed with to then make a platform and be like, "Let me help you understand how to overcome narcissism." It's like, why don't you just overcome it and then stop trying to be in the spotlight? But see, that is the that is the manifestation of narcissism is needing to be in the spotlight. So like I mean even when he wrote talking about thank you John Mark for all the hard work you did on this.
Thank you Ron Caner for all the hard work you did on this six and a half hour video. Even that it felt like I was listening to like an Oscar speech like thank the Lord for this opportunity.
Thank you John Mark for giving me this opportunity. Thank you Ron Caner for giving me this opportunity. Uh thank you to all the victims for speaking up.
Thank you to the former staff. I'm so sorry, but thank you for speaking up the way you did bravely. It's like, dude, stop making this thing about you. Just stop. But this is the kind of thing that it seems that he continues to do. Let's do um let's see.
Okay, here was one that I thought was deeply concerning. And I mentioned this in the last video, but I just want to mention again this woman here named Alicia White.
um posted on Jonathan's first apology after the 6 and 1 half hour video where he acknowledges the video and she says something very kind. First she's like, "Wow, this was very um well written and thank you for taking responsibility, etc." And then she goes and watches the 6 and 1 half hour video. and she comes back and says, "I've retracted my previous comment.
Since watching the full video and also being followed on my personal Facebook account from Jonathan Welton after my comment, I would encourage you all to watch the full video before commenting on this thread." So then she puts a receipt here showing that she here's the lady right here in this picture with her husband. Uh she says this is just this is just look. So he liked her comment which was so thankful for this honest and humble da da da was her was her comment and then he went immediately after that and followed her.
Why would he follow this random woman on Facebook? Why would he do that? Well, if you watch the six and a half hour the six and a half hour expose on Jonathan, you know that he was constantly grooming these women and bringing these women close to him. Why are you following a random woman on Facebook?
Let's just let's just play this out real quick. Okay, let's just play this out.
Um Facebook is a Facebook is kind of a weird thing. Okay. I like there was a time whenever like people like it switched your friends to basically your followers or it switched you is from a friend to following people and all a sudden you're like why am I following this person or whatever. So that can happen on Facebook. I get it. But if you go and randomly follow a random woman who comments on your thing and you're this influencer, you've got all these followers and then this random woman is just a it's her private personal page. Like it's not like she's posting content that Jonathan's interested in. Why is he wanting to keep up with this woman's life? What is the purpose of it? Well, let's go see. Let's go see what he says when she says this to him. Let's see. Um let's see here. He says, here we go. Oh, that's a little He says, "I'm glad that you watched the full video, Alicia, and decided for yourself what to think.
Yes, I follow new commenters, but I will retract that as well." Under this reply, I don't have it here, but I had it in the last video. She says, "Thank you.
Uh, there are many healthy retractions happening today." Totally tongue and cheek there. But dude, are you serious?
Yes, I follow new commenters. Why would you follow new commenters? What are you talking about? Like if I post something on Facebook and somebody comments, I don't just go follow them. Why do you follow new commenters? What? That Ron Caner calls it out clear as day. He says that's exactly what everyone in this thread should see. Bro can talk repentance all day long, but then he reveals himself to be a creeper. He's an amazing communicator and very convincing, but actions are what prove you are a changed man. Following a female that you don't know after she comments on your page is creepy behavior. And even if it wasn't creepy for the average person, certainly after a six-hour video detailing your clergy sexual abusive ways, this would give you pause before you do anything that would have optics of evil and creepiness. This is not the fruit of transformation. Dude, that was lit. Who's this man named Ron Caner?
That is a uh that's a shout out to Jeremiah Johnson who uh pretended like he didn't know who Ron Caner was when Ron called him out about a year ago. He said a man named Ron Cananter whenever he was defending Michael Brown. Anyway, um Ron killer response there. And I'm telling you guys, this is just the fruit of a guy. He has not changed. He's not changed. For those that would say, you know, I've seen people say, "Well, look, Karen Welton is commenting and saying, "Yes, Jonathan's definitely changed."
Guys, you cannot I hate to say it, but you can't put it on the wife to diagnose whether the husband's changed because this guy has done this twice. Twice. And he's got three apparent transformational stories. If you watch Sid Roth, the first one, the wife Karen thought he had changed dramatically in 2012. Wow. He's a changed man. It's a miracle. They literally did a whole like story on it at Sid Roth. And so for her to say he's changed then then for her to say he's changed again uh you know and like to notice change in 2017 to 2019 or whatever when it came to um or 2021 the bulletproof husband stuff. It's like you can't you can't ask the person who has been married to the diagnosed narcissist to say yeah he's definitely changed. You just can't ask for that.
What you ask for is actions that are public. And here's an action that was public. And it's super super weird. It's super weird. So, I just want to put this side by side here. Um, as just put it side by side. Here is this young lady's uh comment.
And here is what Jonathan did. He followed her. And then here is what he said when he got called out for it. And here's what Ron said about that, guys.
You guys can just decide for yourself if that if that is the actions of a healthy dude that should be in ministry, that should be influencing your family, if that's a church you want to go to to a guy that got kicked out of church, never made it right with the former pastor.
And then whenever he's getting called out online, he goes and does a public apology. And then he ends up following commenters, women that are commenting positively toward him, young women that are commenting positively toward him. Is that the type of person you want to retrust with? You want to send your daughter to that guy's school of ministry. You want to send your uh daughter who is maybe in a marriage that needs some marriage counseling and you want to send your son-in-law to to Jonathan Welton to teach that man how to have a good marriage at Bullet Bulletproof Husband.
I'm not being too harsh here, guys. At the end of the day, this is what I'm going to say. There are qualifications for ministry. Okay? There are qualifications which Jonathan um seems to conveniently uh avoid First Timothy chapter 3. Like he seems to avoid conveniently passages like 1 Timothy chapter 3.
a task that is uh a task of an overseer.
A deacon, let's just look at it real quick.
Okay, a deacon. Here's a worthy saying.
Whoever aspires to be an overseer desires a noble task. Overseers to be above reproach. So, you got to be above reproach. Okay. So, we've had 10 years of non-above reproach activities, whether that's been lying, manipulating, etc. the pastor that kicked him out actually kicked him out of the church uh for continued lying and manipulating and divisive behavior. That was in 2021.
Like that's what the pastor said. So that's not above reproach. Uh faithful to his wife.
Guys, we're not talking about perfection here because Jonathan's whole thing is, well, I messed up once and now I can't I can't ever be in ministry again. I got the calling of God. I got the gift of God. I got I'm a teacher. Like guys, this wasn't just a one-time mess up.
This is sexual predation on those under your care. And that's not that's not safe for the flock of God. Not given a drunken drunkenness, not violent, but gentle, not quarrelome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him.
He must do so in a manner worthy of full respect. If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God's church?
He must not be a recent convert.
Uh he must have a good reputation with outsiders so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil's trap.
Guys, this is like I mean having a good reputation with outsiders, are we going to say that after this decade and a half of all this going on that Jonathan has a good reputation with outsiders?
I know it's hard to stop, especially when you think you have the answers for how to make husbands better, or if you think you have the answer for people's marriages, or if you think you have the answer for esquetology, if you think you have a better new covenant theology of grace, um like these are all Jonathan's main sticks, right? He's got his book out there on um called Rapturless and he's got uh this new covenant better covenant theology and he's got all this stuff which honestly he didn't develop this stuff. He wasn't the developer of those things. There are some things about his theology that are probably totally off and there are some things that are probably on just like a lot of people's theology. But the problem here is that Jonathan thinks he is a necessary component not to the body of Christ. Okay, hear me on this because Jonathan's whole thing is I am he's like basically saying I am a necessary component of the body of Christ which is a teacher. I am a teacher and a minister and there's fire in my bones and I've got to get out there and preach. Okay.
Okay. What if that's not what your role is anymore?
Like Jonathan was told by his pastor to take out all the Welton, Professor Jonathan Welton stuff out of his email address and just be a normal guy at church. Jonathan, I had a hard time doing that. Can you just be a normal guy that goes to church and worships Jesus and listens to the preaching and when you go home, you don't complain about it, but you talk about the Bible with your family. You disciple your own children. You love your wife. You lay down your life for her. You get a job, whatever job that is. You get a sales job. You get a grocery store job. You get a whatever the job is. You go get a job. Okay, go get a job and provide for your family. Work with your hands and live a quiet life.
Imagine that. Imagine that. see the Ben Armstrongs of this world, the guys that are uh sexually pray upon women and then they're welcomed right back into ministry by guys like Danny Silk, the Mike Bickles who apparently has been teaching behind the scenes the whole time having little having little pockets and groups that just completely welcome his teaching after 40 years of grooming women. And some some in Kansas City highly dispute those narratives. But even if you go at the bare minimum, Bickl was a sexual predator when he started ministry praying upon a 14-year-old 15-year-old first and then a 14-year-old in the 70s, then the 80s, then a 19-year-old when he was in his 40s in the late 90s, and then continued stories throughout. Like at the very least we've got the three stories that cannot be disproven at this point.
All of these guys we have to learn as a church to mark and avoid them as teachers.
Truly repentant men of God need to lay down their microphones. they need to lay down. You know, we're in an interesting era where you have social media and you can literally have a platform at any time. But it shows a ton of humility to stop trying to be the answer guy, to stop trying to be that dude. It shows a ton of humility. It shows true repentance in my in my opinion. I think the danger for the body of Christ right now is to take a person like Jonathan Welton and the way he can feain humility so well because he's done this in videos to his former staff at times. He did this even while guys, you got to realize he was writing in this same type of way and crying in repentance to his staff back in 2018 while at the same time secretly texting and messaging Jane Doe and demanding telling her to delete her messages or she would be taken down.
These people have a good way of being able to speak one way in public and act a different way in private. Am I saying that I know and understand perfectly Jonathan Welton's heart and all this stuff? No, I don't. And I don't seek to.
I just look at the information that's available and I look at the action actions and activities available. And guys, by the mouth of two or three witnesses, let a fact be established.
Guys, we got 12 12 women that were prayed upon.
And you're going to go to bat for this guy to get back into ministry. That's who you're going to send your daughter.
Would you let your daughter be in that person's youth group?
Would you tell your sons to get discipled by this person? And as we talked about last week, there are people that will say, "Well, I was in Jonathan Welton's bulletproof husband and my wife was um deeply impacted by me being in it and this, that, and the other. We never experienced this, that, or the other."
Well, there are other testimonies that differ from yours. And it's not just that they experienced something bad.
It's that they were experiencing uh abusive type of situations. Like in the bulletproof husband, there's testimony where Jonathan was getting men to not tell their wives things about their sexual faults or their sexual uh uh like if they had been watching PN or something, they weren't supposed to go tell their wives. Like that is not healthy to hide that kind of thing from a spouse. And pretending like it is is every every like that we know that that's just that's not right. How are you going to be a biblical uh marriage coach or counselor and be saying things like that? Well, somebody might say, "Well, he never told me that." Well, just because he didn't tell you that doesn't mean he wasn't telling the others that came forward and said it.
And these are patterns of testimony over the years. And so, this is just a recap.
This was about 45 minutes. I hope this is helpful for you guys. Um, I'm just calling for people to have discernment.
I'm not actually speaking to Jonathan Welton at this point. Not that he although he may listen to the video, I am speaking to the body of Christ. If this guy's not able to put down his microphone, then you've got an answer right there. I anticipate that he disappears for about 12 months and then he tries to reappear again. That's just my prediction. Not prophetic prediction, just my prediction. But if the dude actually disappears, and it's not like we want the it's not like we want these type of people to disappear completely.
It's like just stop trying to be an influence and go go heal up your family, raise good children, get a job, be faithful, establish yourself in a life outside of ministry for a long time. And even then, even then it might not be good for you to come back and try to get into ministry. It just might not be good for you to do it. be healthy for people to be able to step away for good and that to be okay, especially if there's calls for it. Hey, you need to step away because you've been abusive, sexually, manipulative, and you also have had uh psychological diagnosis that are dangerous.
It would be good if people that are being called to step away and step down and not return would likely pay attention to those calls, especially as if it's from people that knew them very, very well. All right, guys. That said, we're going to end this one today. Um, as usual, this episode is brought to you by Wake Up and Win Life Insurance.
