In human terms, it would be as old as 600 years. What's amazing is the naked mole rat has no sign of aging whatsoever. Does not lose strength. It doesn't get slower. It does not allow cells to accumulate damage like ours. The naked mole rat can be studied at 5 years [music] old and at 35 years old, they are almost exactly [music] the same animal. They have been the object of study for decades and scientists have only one question.

It is one of the leading causes [music] of death in humans. So, researchers investigated further. They conducted comparisons of the naked mole rat's DNA with the DNA that is involved in us.
