The Ichabod Response

[00:00:00]Ichabod dang dang dang dang dang exclamation marks. The glory of the Lord has departed from Israel. Come out of her, my people.

[00:00:12]I think this guy was disappointed by what took place in the church.

[00:00:16]And his response is that the glory of God has departed.

[00:00:20]I want to speak to you, my friend. Uh, you who said Ichabod, Wamkoya Tundo, that is his nickname.

[00:00:29]This church is the church of the living God.

[00:00:33]The glory of God is in this church.

[00:00:36]The Lord himself is the glory of this church.

[00:00:40]He will never depart again.

[00:00:43]The church, beloved, is still mixed up. This is the church militant.

[00:00:51]The church right now has sheep and goats. That's biblical.

[00:00:57]Right?

[00:00:58]The people in the church who will not stay in the church in the end.

[00:01:04]The people outside who will come into the church.

[00:01:08]Remember, there are disciples of Jesus Christ who saw the tares, and they wanted to go and remove the tares. And Jesus said what?

[00:01:18]No, don't remove them.

[00:01:20]This is not the time to cleanse the church.

[00:01:23]Jesus said, "Let them grow how?"

[00:01:27]Together.

[00:01:29]We are growing together.

[00:01:33]Christ himself will sort out the church in the end.

[00:01:37]But the church can never be Ichabod anymore. The glory of God will not depart.

[00:01:43]Because the Bible says that God knows those who are his.

[00:01:47]Amen.

[00:01:50]The greatest question is for you and I to check out whether we belong to him.

[00:01:55]And there are guidelines that can tell you that you belong to him. You can have assurance of salvation.

[00:02:02]Now, here's the other side of the story.

[00:02:05]There are those who have fallen now that you may condemn, but they're going to rise and walk because our God is able to make them rise and walk.

[00:02:14]So, don't write off anybody right now.

[00:02:18]Don't even write off the vilest offender in the church right now because this God whom we serve has power to lift them up.

[00:02:28]This God whom we serve has power to restore the fallen.

[00:02:33]And that's why the Bible says, we are here to shepherd God's people.

[00:02:38]The fallen we lift up. We warn.

[00:02:42]We rebuke.

[00:02:45]But you don't throw away.

[00:02:47]And so, if there's anybody who fell for that scam, the word of the Lord is rise up and walk again.

[00:02:55]Amen.

[00:02:57]Rise up.

[00:02:59]Repent and walk again because God is able to give you power to walk again.
