The Minister of Justice announced that the Ministry of Justice and Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) will conduct an internal review of the Samuel Tweah case, examining how the grand jury was selected and how the case was handled from investigation to court process. The review aims to study what worked well and what can be improved in future cases. The government has filed a resistance to the defense's motion for a new trial and will strongly oppose any attempt by convicted defendants to overturn the jury's decision. The Justice Minister emphasized that no one is above the law and that public officials who abuse public trust should be prosecuted, while also noting that the fight against corruption is a marathon requiring patience and resilience in institutions.

You see when the government try to scape on >> they concern hello your organization they concern Liberia for justice organization. How many person >> uh we going to 50 now I mean 100 because 50 and now we approaching 100.

So you see when government try to scen the taxes GST and even the water producer then when they carry the roller press from 20 4 200 to 2950 so who should have responsibility that the citizen the people bringing fuel to produce the water they bringing they paying people to work in the factory they do all lot of spending still see that for the car taxes up on the people.
So I as this question on OKF the government to rescue us or to suppress us. So this is attack on the common people that I noticed because if the president can be driving 2.2 bullet $2.2 $2 million bullets in VGO and pay $3.3 million real$10 million man in FA but yet they still not able to reduce taxes for the common people to be able to get common s going on now people in the community just take your microphone and drive to the community you see the boys wearing a t-shirt the were in the trime.
You see more community official but still here to push against the things we facing within this country.

>> Good evening.
>> Good evening. How are you?
>> I'm okay. My name is um calling from community.
>> Go ahead.
It is interesting to hear speaking.
Some are speaking out of frustrations.
Some are speaking out of their own mindset when it come to the issue of the government.
But uh the problem here if you look at the issue of the distribution king the retailer the retailer are are very very the consumers that mean the final consumers because even if there is big increase in the in the price or in that person that person man we we got only 30 seconds my friend you got to put life in your >> okay let's talk to another person here hello your name where you join us from >> yeah thank you my name is I'm calling you >> okay let's hear you >> actually want to discuss about the gent ministry >> why the gender ministry there >> you see we can only know Everybody scream or sometime your fiance carry you there. Oh, this man b me and he don't want to support we do this we do that but gent ministry or chief when you take a draft at this hour >> you see 15 you see 15y old ministry supposed to be having come people at least three Before they can come back for that particular rehab center, it will be a that will be so important doing something other.
>> Okay. Thank you.
>> Thank you. Thank you very much. Let's talk to this person.
>> That was a good point. Okay. Yeah. Let's just take that one. We move on.
>> Yeah. Please, please go ahead.
>> All right. My name is Jeremiah.
I join the platform number six.
You know this government will not divert attention from the real issue.
We don't have problem with fighting corruption. The best thing to do is to fight corruption because corruption are eating the fabric of our nation. To be carrying somewhere here and there. Yeah, it's not bad. But today we start buying cold water in this country for $10 and the world rescue is very far from that. So if we start buying water $10 now the other issue that you can take before you start drinking water. Why are we heading 30% workingless no job then buying water is becoming unbearable and is becoming very difficult so that the other person kind of thing I don't think that's why you're facing a real issue issue for people >> thank you thank you very much okay uh that's Yeah, good good afternoon, good evening, good morning, whatever the time is at your end. I want to say thank you very much for producing today. What happened with Lady Rosie, you guys? Today is Wednesday, right? Or no?
>> Yeah, today's Wednesday. She's supposed to be on, but I'm I'm >> Yeah, that's okay.
>> Yeah, once you're Okay, you guys, that's the best thing to do. We want to appreciate you. Uh I like to also say to you, Dr. Richardson, good to see you, ma'am. How are you doing?
As always, Dr. Richardson got problem with her microphone or computer. Can somebody help Dr. Richardson with computer? I don't know.
I I really don't know though. Dr. Richardson, you know, say her husband can borrow the best computer in time.
But there we go again. I put my money in that one. That rich, you can hear us. We got problem with me now.
>> Yeah, we can hear you now. Are you okay?
>> My husband.
>> It's okay.
>> So, are you okay now?
>> Yeah, I'm doing Yeah, I don't know what's going on, but I'm doing okay.
>> All right. I think you gota you got to check your computer that orig you gota really check it.
>> Yeah, I know. You the global chair for CMC's.
>> Okay.
You're a global chair for CMC. I think they can do better.
>> I said I'm waiting for the new one that you're going to buy for me. It's okay.
>> No, no, no. Not when you support ability. You want me to buy you computer? I can do no such thing. Yeah.
Support Joseph. Support Joseph. I will buy you computer.
>> Support tomorrow. I'll get you brand new computer. infrastructure please.
>> No, but are you asking for a computer though? You support J&B brand new computer. I will.
>> I I'm telling you this.
>> I will bring it to your house. I will.
Seriously.
>> That's okay. I'm not going to sell my thoughts, feelings, views just for computer business.
Well, that original at least if you bring a I agree computer give me computer that's fine.
>> No, but why should I give you computer?
If you get a $30 million political leader and you get a husband, former veteran or veteran, whatever it is, former military man that can give you more than what you asking from me. So why should I give you computer >> and you say join my political leader just my and you know and we gave you so many computer that you want. I mean it's clear the people beating on me though something I you know they beating on me.
I accept that. But you know what? Ghira, you know, let's she jump and then we get her computer. Brand new one. How many you want? We'll give it to you >> once you come on the rescue train.
Rescue train. Rescue train. The rescue train get left the rescue train already. How many people left or how many people were kicked out of the rescue train? see how many were kick out because the people that pay the fair so they kicking them out. You know when you get on the train you got to show your ticket.
>> No no no I'm not saying you do. I'm just asking our audience how many people were kick all of the all of this one train and you know they not even stopping the train though the train going and they just kicking people out. So you >> what a sign used to make. Yeah, I just be laughing when you are making a sign.
TELL ME.
>> YEAH, BUT BUT SAY HOW many people are on the train? How many people laugh? Young is still on the train though. Youngly want to be running in Grand Bass again, I know for the 100th round. That would be her fourth term or fifth or third, I don't know. But Yi is running against Gabriel Montgomery. I heard that she begging Gabriel Montgomery not to run.
And the commerce minister is running.
Magdalene Dakos is running. So but you get the blessing of Joseph Ba and unity party. I don't know if it will be strong enough because Gabriel Montgomery have momentum but you got to understand the political spin. You won herself this echo seat and gave it to Charlene Broski. We discuss it today. you know Amra how you call him Edin Snow said Charlene won that seat right and so Yi advocated for Charlene right and she fought against the chief justice because chief justice let's say that's my area yi why you coming there so yli and foreign minister they squeeze shal in there they call Betty Lamin she was OVERLY QUALIFIED AND WHAT we're discussing right >> Betty >> but lamin you know that politic Eh, she ain't from America.
>> Yeah. So, Young Lee put Charlene Brunkin there because it's political interest.
So, Charlene will be advocating for Yi and pushing for Yi to run again and supporting Yi, right? Understand that Charlene Bronky husband who is my friend, he work at Central Bank of Liberia, right? one of the technician over there. So, it's a whole family thing. And Charlene, she's a good lawyer. That's my sister, right? Like, can you give us Charlene picture and I want to tell Listen, we got a lot to discuss today, right? Charlene is beautiful. She good. She well educated.
I respect her. She always stay in the back. She want no, you know, light, camera, action. So, she stay in the back. But you got to understand something here. Young is doing everything she can to talk to Gabriel Montgomery.
So, it's like a three-way street. And I'm hearing that Gabriel Montgomery will be going to probably be the next commerce minister and he pushing for that. But if Gabriel Montgomery is given that position, then that is to say Yumbli will be running freely. Yeah. That is to say nobody staying y the way because Gabriel Montgomery have to give you he got to sign certain agreement if you want to be commerce minister because obviously that co said the current government minister will not be there at the end of this term they will fire her or she will resign everything I know they're gonna fire her or she'll resign because she's incompetent and I don't think running against y will even help Because Yumbli is experienced.
Yumbli get that swag. I'm not saying I'm supporting Yumbli, but I think the only candidate >> that can go against Yumbly and Juy that Gabriel Montgomery except somebody there I don't know because you know what B got is a senator now. So, Gabriel Montgomery, the deputy commissioner at L.
Two things going to happen.
Two things going to happen.
Let welcome the CMC, Jacob Jalah. I don't know when we get a position in CMC, but let me leave you alone. You can see you got to stop telling me this little gossip. You got to stop. I wake up in the morning, you send me all this thing. I I don't care whether they gave you know they gave Jacob J position in CMC let the man trying but without even giving the man one pick that Mike Bling left but I come back to Yumi I don't want to I wait for wait for to talk about CMC I want wait for his own I talk about CMC right but let's let's stick with Yumbli ladies and gentlemen we got Yi conversation coming up Gabriel Montgomery and Maline Dos three-way street right that involves Shalen Bronkin going to Echo representing Labra legally, right? Something that make uh the chief justice mad. We're talking about that. The next thing we're talking about, I'm hearing people talking about Mariah. Mariah, Mariah, Mariah.
Hey, my people.
Hey, my people.
I Mariah Jacob, a very decent woman.
And I would like to say this, if anybody got any tip on Mariah and you want us to pay for it, send pay for it.
I dare anybody. They got no tape. Unity party running with propaganda that they cannot handle.
So let's go on the record. I know people want to cost me again. Let's go on the record to see who unity party naked out there or video out there. Let's go on the record.
Let's go on the record. No mar husband there's no divorce document going around so we talk about maria and I will talk what I know you know the issue is that if you get any naked video senate you get nothing nothing you get and people just running and say they got you got video tonight put it up they get video on Mariah they will not put it up I pick you up man let's move on something else. I tell them they get no video. You know people domestic affair is fine. We can talk about it.
It's politics. You know you know about me talking. What you know about me talking?
Well, you know about me talking about you know talking ABOUT ME. SO sing and you get and you get video up. Put a video up. I beg you. I beg you. Listen, we will set this thing straight today and all the yama yama we got video. Will you pull up?
>> Yeah.
>> Pull up. WE SHUT UP. YOU KNOW WHY? SOME OF THE UNIT part tell Mr. Ton that stupidity for people to use this opportunity and have two three hour show and they can't produce this some you know tell your oppos.
But that begin to cause unity party people I get video I'm call don't put me in suation again I beg you call nobody don't put me in situation ladies do not put me in situation again >> yeah know about me talking about me talking about You know, people just jump around. We get >> Hey, come on. Don't do that. Don't do that. You know, I think I'm getting our problem. I need glasses.
Seriously, you know, I can't see the names there no more. Since I turned 51 years old, you know, I got to put GLASSES ON THIS THING. SERY, my people.
I think I part of me.
I do believe it.
But since I 51, I got I got I got problem my people. What you say about the NR thing? The national identification registry. What you say about it? What go with the NR? What's going >> there has been issues? There have been concerns around data. Hey, we got a document why awarded to the uh Astra companies Yama Yama $52 million.
$52 million.
>> Is that government money or they're going to be investing that?
>> No. The government going into this deal 3565.
I got all the documents.
The government is gonna listen somebody called Peter Andrew or Andrew Peter what his name is and that guy from NP Andrew Peters and NP guy right I hear you >> from from the the identification registry >> no I I don't know >> that name look like name associated with MPB in the past I don't know and repeat >> yeah but I think okay I'll find out I think the MPB guy maybe not him one of angry one of Peter. I know that first Peter or second Peter or third Peter 100 Peter you know the Bible says listen >> no if you read the new testament it say Genesis no old testament Genesis new testament say Matthew Mark Luke John Acts Romans 1 Corinthian 2 Corinthian Galatian Ephesians Philip Colossian then you go down >> we got a nice Second, first second Hebrew John first.
YEAH, WE GOT THIRD PETER. I don't know which one.
>> You you joke ABOUT FIRST, SECOND PETER, FIRST JOHN, SECOND JOHN, THIRD JOHN SOMETHING ABOUT SOME KIND OF Peter some kind of John will figure out if I go in the Bible and call and call it 27 book of the New Testament. But guys, the whole NR issue, seriously, I must tell you something. 52 to 55 million investment. The people will register Liberian to get the money back and after they get the money back, they will leave. That it the people said they will get 65%.
And Liber will be given 35. But they want the money back. They want the money back plus interest.
Is this a good thing? But we all were part of that deal. Andrew Peter or Peter Andrew, whatever his name is, right? I will put a document up. Then we got Mamara, right? We got the vice president again. And it was approved founded by Jose and we'll talk about it. We'll talk about that. It's a big deal. BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT story today, my people share the show. Go on YouTube.
Go share the show.
72.
They you know they working listen they get feed that say I came on the show and I said poor coming for 21 million the man you wrote a lot about me I was sleeping send it to me I be on for me anybody look at it so I said they will get you on 21 I sp how you spend the actual money on paper.
You want to hear this breaking news? We have the documents, the actual money on paper that will flash.
So when asset recovery, they have done their investigation and continue with the investigation.
They pass $21 million.
J IT HAS SURPASSED $21 MILLION.
So it's not about oh I allocated 7.5 million year I do 3.5 no no NO NO NO THAT WAS LING THAT THE ACTUAL money that going for a pass $41 million. So some kind of operation took place in THE BACK AND PEOPLE talking when I look at the document and I read what they going after Sam 12 and one we said blammo I said I START SPEAKING CREW I SAID SOMETHING HAPPENED HERE MY MAN MY MAN bad man Le said, "Look, I'm not saying is guilty." That riches him, right? I'm not saying that. I'm not saying they can put hand in a cookie jar because the first cookie jar, they didn't put in that cookie jar that or they put a man maybe too big, it couldn't enter, right?
But this other cookies jar that when I cookies that chocolate chips.
Yeah. That when I brown biscuit that chocolate chips because from 6.5 he was acquitted 21 million. No, that thing that chocolate chips and what I'm looking at and I got mad with these people. I said WHY I CAN'T PUT THIS DOCUMENT OUT? THEY said no you can't.
They said we tell you you want to put it up.
Our country it's losing and I will tell you this young my son let me all of a sudden let me I'm okay Jacob. J okay Jacob.
J okay you >> know you're not too bad.
The fact remain is that somebody stole the Liberian people money.
Somebody stole the Liberian people money and we should go after the money. Ask Russell. Russell said no Liberian government entity or ministry will support bringing Lai here. The man post five 10 of them already that supporting him. So which story?
I was confused to be honest. I was confused when I saw when I saw the the news about MPA. I said, "Ah, Russo Ros, sorry I didn't see you." I'm sorry, Russell.
>> Thank you. No, that's that that you I'm sort of dark, so it's easy to to miss me, you know. So, I'm not I'm not I'm not as I'm not as light and as beautiful as my cousin-in-law, you know.
>> No problem, Russell. We miss you. Can somebody give me Russo video when he said that you're not married again?
Where is it? Mommy video Russell Win forever. So want to say thank you for joining us guys. We got a lot to talk about today. But let me hear you. How's your day? What's I mean what's going on? The first going to share the show. We're going to say we're going to put everything up. We're going to talk everything because the best thing we got to do to make Labra better to this person make Macron sometime you know he met Macron and they talk and go on his own page there some kind of something MOU the government signing too many I don't know when we see the real money but anyway we give the government a slap you know um CC K say everything that preceded Cooper said was lie they never met any of the victim of the rich vet everything was lie hey CC will come and talk her own right will get better. What about the water thing Jacob? Water $10.
>> Yo water.
>> Yeah. Water $10.
Wow.
>> Everything.
Yeah.
Are they mission of commerce people being out there today?
>> My will say fire the woman. She can say anybody out there. They will say fire that woman. That woman is incompetent.
And I know her though. But the woman I don't know this thing about get somebody job because you know the husband you know them from the past are nonsense.
The woman is incompetent. Mine is incompetent. That woman run against Yumbly. Y will beat her.
Are you are you president friend wife?
>> But that friendship thing the woman can do the job.
>> I think I I think I think they need to bring and I mean mod that you know I think I think his his resignation was premature. I think he has a great vision for and the experience uh practical as well. I think it'll be a I think it will be a good thing for them to bring Amy Mod back.
Can you can you give us Magdalene picture Yazi and the justice minister picture? He had press conference today.
We'll play a little of it. But I I don't know beta d right that you say bring back bring back to what >> the I I mean it is definitely uh way more experienced and um has uh the right vision was laying out the right vision for the ministry of commerce. uh it it it was it was a a a snag a snafu that uh he experienced and I I don't think what he experienced is a reflection of the caliber of person that I mean is the competency that he brings to the job you know and I think I mean would I think you know I think if if I were advising president boy I would tell him that uh he should reconsider and bring amad back as the minister of commerce Uh I mean were pushing up through a lot of things.
Uh the Liberian Liberianization policy uh he was he was running with that. So I think he would I think he would do well Stanton. There's no question about it.
>> I mean he is that something is that something you think should happen though? uh that Amin prematurely resigned, but the fact of the matter is that Amin used the medtech money to buy car just for Amy and Amy alone. Is that something that we should just brush over? Though double jealous should have resigned to but people beg for him. So it means what that tell you Jacob this whole army thing.
Yeah, I think I think I mean first of all we hor many people heard about I mean even some of who are non pro regime people I mean a lot of people were excited to hear that I mean with history in commerce and tra private sector but I think he he got up to to a damaging spot and the whole um the whole I'm hearing feedback but I think I I'll just continue but the whole talk about what happened with the vehicle with the tech thing and the big controversy that came around that I I just feel that you know that kind of little bit poisoned the air kind of little bit damaged uh the reputation around it now doesn't mean that necessarily he that he may have been directly involved in betrayal or public trust but just just the lack of public confidence uh in him and the whole controversy the whole thing I it come back for me doesn't look like a great thing I think we probably need to move forward Uh Minister Dagosa for me has been a disaster. She she didn't even get going with the whole commerce and industrialization thing. Uh it hasn't quite worked price stabilization. There are a lot of you know issues in the marketplace and I think she hasn't been able to get a handle on that. I think it only took the vice president recently to add a little bit of energy to it calling manufacturers you know trying to draw a line between retailers manufacturer and get brain participating. She wasn't able to get a handle on it. So I think I think she should case go back to that job and then not go back to Amy but rather march forward pretty much try to find someone who can kind of do a pretty great job because we talking something here we talk about commerce but min commerce everybody talk about commerce commerce nobody really talks about industrialization because this is period now we have to modernize the economy we have to industrialize the economy many of our sectors are coming online local manufacturing food processing uh mining sector so We really need somebody who want larger bigger vision uh who will really take this economy into a new direction. Take ministry of commerce in a new direction. Now we focus on commer price we need to do that but somebody who have a vision to begin to industrialize the economy and move in a new direction on that. So we need a broader vision moving forward. I don't think we have to go back uh that's my view. We have to go back to I mean I think that story is over. We need to move on.
>> You say you see let me say this to you not about the army issue. is about when president Baka like any other president make a decision on friendship and relationship to hire people that's the problem where actually they got this woman from go and just imagine water press is $10 now it want to go to $15 because they are taxing the people we're going to play the water you know union group statement Man, it's an embarrassment.
EVEN WATER WHERE THEY GOT A WOMAN from somebody got to tell where they got what her husband were friending with President Ba. Does she she ever had experience?
THERE'S AN EMBARRASSMENT OF UNITY PARTY.
The woman have failed.
Yeah, I mean had some experience but I mean lack of up the LPD uh stem in in in his car in his home and the rest are history. I don't think they should bring Amy back. I mean, it's a friend, but I think I don't think they should bring him back to commerce. We should move on.
Bring somebody with vast experience. You know, we heard that the Lebanese people took advantage of Amy. I mean, I'm just saying my own. I know people going to get mad at, but no problem. And you know, I I don't think I mean should come back. The other day I mean was a Jeremiah horse and you know, maybe he was trying to love it for his job. Who knows? Or maybe he went there to have, you know, friendly conversation. But I listen, I found something else for Amy.
Amy have tarnish his repetition at commerce. The whole thing about medtech and CTN is stink. CTN is destroying the country. Medtech is destroying the country and you know and uh uh all this yama IS A DISGRACE. WHERE PRESIDENT GOT THIS WOMAN? Where where they took her from this this mad woman? The world BRINGING HIGH [ __ ] NO INDUSTRIALIZATION, no no no no commercing presses going up.
They took Jeremiah and beg him and say my man help the man. Who? Where?
WHERE? WHO HELP THE MAN? LET OMAR GO TO GRAND AND BUILD her 14 uh homes and complex she building. I mean maybe she had money before the stepson. He was arrested for drugs issue. You know that.
You know that the guy was arrested for drugs issue. LGA arrested him. The man are transporting drugs.
These are allegation on him. Major allegation. So I mean you know Ben hey I mean our friend though if the president think you want bring about president business but I think we should move on not to bring back but better and my friend listen I know I mean but this woman right one of the worst disaster in the history of labor commerce what have she done when sign we came in the pres of you all she sign the The woman is so confused. I GOT PEOPLE FROM THE MINISTRY TELLING ME THE MAN IS CONFUSED. Can president go and I respect her though f woman just a woman family woman and family BUT SHE DOES ANOTHER job and IT HAS A SERIOUS IMPACT ON THE GOVERNMENT.
THE WHOLE HAS BEEN LOOK AT MAN digs today. They're sitting with my digs.
Today they charging him for $21 million.
They got to go answer. They charge him for the one. They charge you a her friend. What's the guy name? The other guy? What her friend name? Joe Joe Howard or Joseph T or Joseph Ba? Why what's the guy name? They charge you there and you know but let me mind my business. THE WOMAN CANNOT do the job and Liberians have to come up and tell President BA SHE'S A FAILURE. IS SHE NOT A FAILURE? She is a failure. She's a failure. SHE MUST GO. AND PRESIDENT BUA again and again making this kind of mistake MAKING THINGS HARD ON THE LAB PEOPLE VERY VERY DIFFICULT. THE LABAN PEOPLE ARE BLEEDING with suffering. They are entrenched IN SUFFERING. THEY GO TO BED SUFFERING THE WAKE UP SUFFERING. PEPPER PRESSES going up water prices going up.
Penis press chick everything going up high. Then you got so say they get comment. Nobody go tell Jeremiah. Jeremiah wiped out to tell you the truth because he working for the woman on the press check and all this thing. Welcome to the show. I want to do a talk. I want to say we got Yumbly. Y will be running against her though.
Can you give me Yumbly picture? And to tell you the truth, right? And Ben, I know you were talking about your friend.
I mean regard your friend, right? But to tell you the truth, Dr. Richardson Yi going again to to be in there for 27 years.
Can we talk about Benna?
Can we talk about Grand Basel and Yli for 27 years?
Is this madness?
Can you look at Bikana prior to Yumi?
Can you look at Bikana? Why is there Can you look at Bikana after Yumli?
Man, I know the B people say they land for small fish but I don't think the B people are stupid people to tell you the truth I don't want to get you tell me I know from river they have all the from but it doesn't mean that we stupid 27 years you want to be there for why you know about me talking hey ladies and gentlemen welcome to the show have fun today it's all we can SW again is in another high water. We talk about that.
The letter coming up. The amount of money is crazy. Not only guys then they flash $7.5 million 2022. They flash 3.5 million 2021 but they kept the other money in the corner and that's how money asset recovery going for. These are the allegation I'm receiving information.
Dr. Fine Ch special Abraham says not right there. Anybody try he will deal with them better do your brother-in-law your cousin say I'm right there. You watching the man can sit there and look at the woman doing the show. He can sit there. CAN YOU IMAGINE FREEDOM? THE MAN CAN be sitting right there. The woman doing the show, right? As if to say he jealous. What kind OF JEALOUS MAN?
WHY MAKE that family a jealous family?
Abraham will be sitting right there. He will get a woman water. He went city then somebody trying to do the man will get NOBODY DOING. APRIL saying that right there with a shotgun. I beg you.
Yeah. But welcome to the show. Excuse me. I say my gone. I'll be back.
>> You sure can say hello. How you doing?
No to you. Uh today will be a great show. We we really appreciate all of you that you know are listening to the show.
We are interested in all of the topics uh that Stinton said that he would discuss and especially if it comes in the interest of the Liberian people.
This is why I come here every day to make sure that we are speaking, you know, in a way that the Liberian people will benefit from. Uh, today we heard that the Swedish government is shutting down its embassy in Liberia and it had many programs that girls benefited from and I'm here questioning what's going to happen to those girls. Um I'm wondering if there's anything that will replace some of the programs that they had in our country. And it also um you know made me think about how we now have involved the Australian government in our national registry. It led me to think about what happens again when the Australian government leaves Liberia.
What's going to happen to all of the data that they have? Um I appreciate their technical expertise but again you know uh what's going to happen to the security aspect the data that they're going to collect uh where is it going to be stored uh how they're going to measure if Liberians are learning to maintain their own data and then there as said that was the first time I heard this that there's a 3565 kind of agreement with this organization I'd like to know more about that because uh this 35 probably doing the same kind of thing giving a lot of money to these people. So, but anyway, that was things that I think about. I've been thinking about um I'm sure um Mariah going to you know rise above all of this conversation about her. Um you know getting divorced is not disability, is not a disease, you know, so I I I don't have time for that.
It's not affecting Liberian people anyways, but I'm sure she's going to do well. She's a very smart and intelligent woman. So, she's going to rise above, you know, all of the things, the conspiracy theories that have been said about her. And that's what I have to say. So, thank you, Stanton, and everyone. Welcome to the show, >> Dian. Thank you very much. That bring Benedict, we got a lot to talk about.
Let's hear you on your intro.
>> Uh, thank you, uh, uh, Stanton, and it's great being here. It's great seeing everyone uh, here. And again, please uh share the show if you are out there watching us or listening to us. Um uh if you're out in Fishtown, Reag County, I'd like to say hi to you all and hi to everyone um who is out there watching and listening to us. Um for my intro uh stantern I got uh uh two um uh pet projects uh that I'm working on and I would like to uh to see um support and and try to galvanize support for these two projects. Um actually there more than two of them but I'll just mention these two for now. one is um our national team coming to uh the great state of Minnesota to play uh Minnesota United FC which is uh um uh a major league soccer team here and so just want to encourage everyone to be a part of the celebration as we will be um it will be uh showcasing our national uh football team, our culture, our tourism, our heritage and a whole bunch of things that I think are positive. This is a a political event. So, wherever you are, get your ticket, come to Minnesota. It will be fun. It will be great. There will be lots of festivities uh happening here. So, you really really don't want to miss it. And the other thing, um at Stanton and and folks, we have a lot of traffic death in the country. uh we've talked about this um uh a lot of times and I think the solution to solving some of these traffic death in the country just education and trying to uh to get more radar guns. So, I hope that we can come together as a family like we've come together as a full family, raise some some funds, buy some uh some radar guns, some laser guns to add on to the the other laser guns so that folks have and just try to implement the >> we're not buying gun. Let move on. Don't tell buying back. Yeah, you confuse our people. by stop radal weapon. Okay. I should have said bra detector but that's it. Okay.
>> Yeah.
Greg come back on the show but we ain't going to buy but we hear what you say though. Yeah. You trying to get a deter.
Yeah. But CMC Jacob China man that I mean we got a lot to talk about today.
Jacob I mean I hear that it's raining on you like hell these few days Jacob you the man. But we'll talk about that later on. Talk to me Jacob.
>> Oh no. So oh I my face is covered with spoon TV but no problem. I'll enjoy. No your left eye cover. We have you tell you send me the code then I'll move something.
All right. No, I mean, yes. So, yeah, you know, we we always have a lot of news on uh in a day. Liberia is a country that is never short of news, definitely. But uh I would love to go uh in line with our topical issues for the day. Once they come up, uh I will share more specific opinion about that. Uh but you um um Billy did talk about the police you know like I noticed something I don't know maybe the police hurricane they listening especially in the evening hours like that coming from uh Tott Ba into sink I mean into Pinsville there's always a lot of traffic understandable because of the road or the development of the bridge the bridge construction going on there but I think like in the evening the police would normally add a tear lane to the road But I had a kind of experience today. I was coming and you know the police initiated the tailing. Then at the same time after you go further like maybe like 10 20 meters along the way then you see police officer also pulling cars over on the tail and then issuing TKS and then I saw that happening and that was very confusing because you know the police can reconstruct and deconstruct traffic.
I understand that's the right of the police. But if you tell people get on a tail and then at the end of the day you start arresting people get on the tail in the scene.
>> So we talk about police. I know you get I'm not trying to cut you. We got a lot to talk about. We're talking about the police. We're not going to miss the oranges here today. Y can call poor Kennedy. He working for the lab national police as a consultant. We'll put a fly up the police committ community policing. Y can talk to him. Y have a show. Billy D is a consultant. Paul Kennedy is a consultant. They know Gregory. Gregory are my friend. We come together and they and they will pay and we talk about uh the police. Yeah. These guys are consultants for the police.
>> That is not true. I am not a consultant for the Labon National Police. That is false.
>> Oh, okay. Okay. Okay. But you're working with them, right?
>> I work with everyone. I work with every entity in the country.
>> I know that. I know. It's true. That's That's true.
>> Yeah. We see you working with uh Duplade on the Lone Start thing. You working with uh Nazcode uh on the Lone Starting.
We see you working with everybody.
That's true. That's true. So So yeah, but thank you very much. Let me bring in Dr. Dr. George. Uh Dr. George, what's going on? You guys confuse us, man. Dr. George, I know we get there, though. But on a sincere note, Dr. George, who put out the fake announcement that you guys hired George Widom? No. To your own. We come we talk about that. Josh Whistler right and what's going on your whole party kind of confused but we'll talk about it give us your intro my brother good afternoon Dr. Regency Bed Jacob Jala Gama Clinton Fuy Harris the council of Ku Babala man we're talking about Supreme Court but good afternoon everyone but stand up uh I will start the show by expressing that uh today uh the political leader of the alternative national congress Mr. Benedict comments about an hour ago landed in Gigi, Rwanda to participate in the African forum about 2,800 over 2,800 African chief executive will be meeting and Mr. Cummings is going to be a part of that meeting as part of his push to uh to lur investors to Liberia in order to for us to solve this problem that the unity party and the government found it difficult to increase uh employment opportunities for young women are graduating from college.
That's um that and it's great for our country. So uh that's um what is uh on my mind this evening. I look forward to the conversation and the topics that will be brought up.
>> Yeah, thank you very much Dr. Josh. A lot coming from your end today though and we really want to hear from you and you know what the ANC people saying in the back. Let me bring in the American lawyer. We have two you know lawyer on the show. One is an American lawyer. The next one is a Liberian lawyer. Let me bring the American lawyer first. You know we got to respect these United States. the American lawyer gam Clinton says the law >> uh you know another great day to be here to talk about Liberia about all the issues that are trending uh look uh you know you you announced there's a lot of things to talk about and I'm just u looking forward uh to contribute as you you know uh bring these different topics >> yes sir thank you thank you Fubby we missed you yesterday fy And I understand that you were relocating. I hope your new environment is unique and say hi to the new family you have in Bukina Faso.
Welcome to the show, sir.
I was not I was not relocating everybody.
Yeah. But lot of lot of lot of lot of trending topics and it's good that we are here today to make our points and our contribution to help Liberia become a better place. But we should all we should never stop engaging. We should never stop speaking our minds. We should never stop holding the government accountable. We should never stop know contributing to the society because the society depends on all of us to help make Liberia a better place. So we look forward to a good show today. Thank you >> my brother Fuby. Thank you. It's good to have uh the belated birthday man here counselor. Welcome to the show my friend.
>> Thank you CEO. Let me also wish you a belated birthday. I didn't get to join the panel that day. I still got the 10 bags of rice also uh for the philanthropic gesture. Um it's always good to celebrate another birth anniversary. Very very quickly, I'd like to add two things very quickly. Uh number one, I'd like to welcome President Bua back to Liberia from Kenya. I saw that he was in a photo with uh the Ginian president. I think that reinforces uh the importance of diplomacy in resolving conflicts on our border. And I'm very happy that we are at peace with Guinea and we remain at peace with Guinea because President Boyer continues to use diplomacy. And very quickly again um there's a news circulating on Facebook and as someone who's close to the judiciary. I try to very quickly confirm that news that the chief justice has ordered some investigation the jury tempering. I'd like to state here that based on our investigations and confirmation that is blatantly false, reckless statement uh now founding and in fact is crash propaganda. The chief justice has ordered no such investigation. But beyond that, it's good to be back to see Dr. George and the rest of the CEO to see you again. I know you will beat me again today and h you try to like pull me into all of these corners, but it's always good to have the opportunity to be here and to talk about Liberia. So, thank you and we look forward to a very uh great conversation. Thank you.
>> No, thank you very much. On a very serious note, guys, let's share the show. Let's make progress. Let's invite on YouTube on Facebook, Instagram, Spawn FM, Fabric Super of Labro. Every one of them trending right now. Let's invite people because a lot of stuff need to be discussed. But the first main event, the main topic, this is a SW invite by recovery, right? Let make that our main event. Uh this whole thing about SW guys, you read the letter. Let me put it up and hear your side. We're going to zoom in this letter. I I I been announcing this thing, right? That they were going to go after 72 over 20 million. Mani digs new Samur Blam we said or we said Blambo whatever name.
These are some huge investigation they calling them for. Make no mistake just 10 days ago or so he was acquitted.
They said go home no far no harm you are not guilty on all kind fact you are not guilty but the issue about the right thing we've been saying it and it it's just so that I was so correct I don't know it's like I'm a magician it's like I know something that no one else know but I know because I consult the good law and he gave me vision thank god for that and when we talk about the amount people say oh they just charge a man 3.5 the man get comments 3.5 but no they are going for the jul vein here my people it is not that man some money were hidden they had hidden cartel so before I dig deeper and show you some of the documents that I have I I really want to hear you what you think sedition say bring it on s He will go to see you and talk s wish they got nothing on him. They asked for money he gave money that's his job. what mani digs and orders what they did with that money that's not his business but there was a committee set up October 17 2022 who was heading that committee the chief of staff to the president and who co-chair the committee su that's a lot you guys don't know so what you know tell us tell the lab people and what to ask the Liberian people for their own view. This invite by recovery. What do you think? What actually recovery? What? I know what they are asking for. As of today, all of the five names before I arrest the only person they have not served were blammo.
We said at the time I called blammo.
I said blammo. We said they have not served you right yet. Where are you?
Because NSA when you said we said blambo we said oh I mess that up now but you know I talking more I put everything we said blambo our show but I call him and this is important and I told him that I'm going to say that I call him he said yes say so I said but pap where are you he can call me baba He say yeah. I said you here where? I said the people get NSA looking for you.
Because NSA were looking for him. They have served Samura Woli. They have served Mani Dicks. They have served Noville. They have served se I saw SW online thing. S get a letter tomorrow. I wait. I said my man your letter on the way in 15 minutes you get a letter. I said way I know but I will say to you I told I said they get NSA looking for you the say NSA for why I said because you're on the run you are the most WANTED RIGHT NOW by recovery.
the pap said my son let me I said but when you told me when you leave I said pap okay the find you then so I believe the ser I didn't do a follow up but was scared let me ask you a question right indeed I spoke to him though and I believe they are serving because they had looking for I don't know why they had NSA looking for the old man the old man horse right down the street they could have just found he was home. He was home. Why NSA looking for him? But saying I get too much too many information on this thing.
What say you? This this new development that they going after these people now to give an account of over $20 million all of which the government have confirmed they spend only 11 million. So where the rest of the money that Richardson talk to me? Let's start the show.
All right, let's go to Ben. Dr. Richardson, you're not ready yet. Ben, >> I'm ready. I'm ready.
>> I just keep myself >> I keep myself on mute as you were speaking. So, um, you know, it's a good practice that people who are in charge of Liberian's people money should be accountable. Uh, they should show that they have integrity.
uh so it's a good practice uh whether we started it now or it will be started later or it was started in the past I think it's a good thing however I I I I pray that this government has all the information that it needs they have the ducking order they shouldn't be engaging in witch hunting or because I don't like this government I don't like this person so I'm going to bring a case against this person but if someone took the Liberian people's money Be it a penny or be it a dollar, you should be held responsible for it. And I know we're on this show. I do remember the rice subsidy case. I do remember that. Um I do remember the government, the CDC government had issued $11 million at the time, but Senator, you telling us that it is more. Uh there was also there were a committee set up in the legislature that we did bring someone on the show.
Koga, I remember to speak about that committee and he was supposed to come back to tell us because I think he said he was going to go to do his investigation. He was supposed to come back but I maybe I wasn't sure when he came back. But all of these people who have who who had anything to do with the Liberian people's money, the right subsidy money should tell us. That's all we want to know. Okay. telling us doesn't mean that um you know you will be you'll be indicted or you you are involved just tell us what you know as we learned here today you can be deputed minister in in a in a ministry and you want to know what happening in the ministry so it's just good for us to know it's something that I learned on the show as well thank you that that was a last minute job towards with Fangura let me bring you in The woman just when she saw Wra Bangor, she threw a jab at him. Bed, welcome.
Let's hear you on this R issue.
Uh uh uh Stanton, I I I will pass to my to my uh friend and brother, Mr. Jala. I will I would defer to >> Thank you. Thank you very much. Jacob, let's hear you. Where are you with the seat? In fact, I mean all of them they are important. But again, SW go into this as the Anacura. Is there anything bigger than that? Bigger fish or shark or will let me know. What do you think, Jacob?
>> Yeah. So, yes, I I've been coming up to speed with the with the with the development. Uh I read the letter today first posted I think my former minister to and then I started seeing the news articles going around and I tried to to to dig a little bit deeper to understand what is going on. So broadly generally speaking I think I I will still need to address myself a little bit more detail as this situation unfold. But my understanding first of all is that this is an investigation.
So, this is not like uh an indictment or a trial uh getting underway. I think this is still in an investigative stage. Correct me if I'm wrong. Uh uh anyone here? So, I'm sure this is an investigative stage. uh the asset recovery is trying to learn more ask more question and collect testimony or account from uh uh uh what I mean people they may consider as uh related to this matter on this right subsidy thing now you see I I I will make a few point here the first point is that you see the some of the error I think the the the or the challenges or the difficulty the unit party or the government continuing to face with the corruption thing or the anti-corruption fight for me is is the lack of appropriate communication. Now, are you going to make this another Samuel TW thing again, or are you going to make it a a blind and impartial investigation into a potentially uh uh criminal something that happened?
I don't know the detail around that, but this investigation has to travel that path. You know, you have to be able to investigate a matter that you're not clear about with the intention of getting to the heart of the problem or getting to the heart of the truth or heart of the situation to unravel the truth. So in that respect, I think the asset recovery has has a legitimate mandate. We pay taxpayer money to the asset recovery for a reason and and we want them to be able to investigate questionable wealth issue. I mean wealth they have question mark over that is their legal function. they should carry on with their job. But I would encourage people who are engaged in this including entire anti-corruption fight to deal in a professional way to depoliticize it to take out the partisan energy from inside and make it look like somebody is targeting Samuel 12 for political reason and try to ask the question they need to ask in line with their job but to be able to do this professionally, legitimately legally. That's why I say for for the for the for the point I wouldn't come out and dismiss and say oh after recovery should do no work. No we pay them taxpayer money they have the right to ask question but I think they should proceed uh in ways that will not send a mixed message to the population making it look like you targeting one Sam and doing a political man. That has to be uh the approach for very professional and impartial investigation into what happened and raffle the truth and let the labreno know the truth of the matter. If nothing sinister happened, nothing criminal happen, people should be m aware of that. So that has that will be my initial comment and my broad comment on the matter so far.
>> Thank you very much. I think you come strong on this thing. Again, let me say this right. Uh well, we said Blammo, George W. He said blammo that I'm going to get this name right. He was home right when I call him. He is home. He said he will receive this document and if you want to call on the show, you can call on the show. His lawyer will reply.
But these are some damaging information about his position at the time under the CDC government. Were there any in the 20 to $21 million right subsidy money that some of them were directed?
THAT'S THE ONLY QUESTION BUT DR. George let me bring before you move on.
>> No no we gone we gone my man. We come back to you. We gone. We gone with your piece. Yeah we gone. We now we come back to you. Can you take this spoon thing from on uh Dr. George face please if you can.
I put me.
>> No, no, no, no, no. We'll bring it when Tama come back. When Tama come on the show, you can bring it back right now.
Tama not yet. Can you take it from on Dr. George, please, please? Thank you very much. I say when you see Tama on the show, bring it back. Dr. George, go ahead.
>> Look, any government that fight against corruption, I support that government.
I I take hearts off to that government.
And if we in our in our country, it's a plus.
We this struggle started a long time ago and we had a 1980 coup because we wanted to be on the table part of the decision making in our country.
Between 1988 and 1985, we the struggle continued with our forefathers.
We had civil wars because of the issue of corruption. 250,000 of our brothers died.
At the end of the day, we still have the same situation where we have a country that is far behind the rest of the countries in the world.
We are among the 10th poorest nation in the world.
Many of my colleagues who have traveled to Liberia in the last 6 months return the country is difficult and is hard but yet them still we still getting information of few individuals who are sing government money into their personal covers.
This war must be must be a war that every Liberian support. But here's the problem.
Each time this government comes up with placard names and and and sum of money associated with those names, the investigation does not match the conversation.
So we have seen a situation where the LCC are giving certificate saying that these people are not corrupt.
We saw the situation where the court of law last week or early this week stated that the government had insufficient evidence.
So I hope we take this fight against corruption seriously.
This is not a showcasing of showmanship.
It is the soul of the nation we are struggling for.
And those who come up with this loud announcement must also come up with the proper investigation with the proper evidence so that we can start Mr. Benedict Cumins because we are not going to announce people names in the press that we don't have full evidence about.
We are not going to be seen as a political wish horn government but we are be will be seen as a government who wants to bring this situation of cor minimize not bring it will never end minimize the situation of corruption in our country and make it difficult for people to make up the mind that they want to steal from from our country.
we get done. Investor are afraid to come to our country because people want their money also.
This thing must start. But >> okay, >> we should start.
Thank you. Thank you very much, sir.
Thank you, Governor. Let's hear you on this.
Yeah, I think Jacob make, you know, some very strong points and, you know, he's right that it is the job of the asset recovery team to to go ahead and investigate and recover government assets and they they have a mandate to do that. Uh they've been paid by past years to do that. The problem is that many of these investigations are mared by um conversations around political wish and and that's becoming of a problem. Now we have another Samuel D case. You know, when you when you follow the last case, this should have been about money that was supposed to be uh was supposedly stolen or diver from the library and people it be a Samuel Twe thing. This is another investigation that is becoming a sim. And if you follow all the unity party after this Freddy every single person was talking about this this hasn't end going after Samuel TW and now you see another investigation that they inviting Sam TW. Samuel TW was a minister of finance the chief dispersement officer republic of Liberia. For me, I'm like, how many unless you are finding a link to find Samuel TW at the other end of of on the receiving end of of money, like how many other investigations are you going to call Samuel T? Because like any major investigation into money, government money transfer, Samuel T is going to be at, you know, at the center. I mean, at this point for me, if I was Samuel Tu, unless I've been subpoena, I'm not cooperating with with any uh any investigation at this point. I would just uh uh you know remain silent if the government has a case they can take that case to court because this is just you can't make this thing you know the for me you can just make this thing about su is you know I follow composition on social media and you saying people are like at very very high level of unit party who are saying now we're going to get you we didn't get you on $6.2 $2 million. Now we get it. The foundation itself of the state when the $20 million uh investigation is questionable because firstly we haven't seen any document to say $20 million was appropriated in the budget.
So as a recovery is saying we're investigating $20 million first show us where in the budget uh $20 million was placed. So then we begin the conversation. So I think the foundation and where um area has come out to say I know twin as minister of finally he transferred 21 million dollar to commerce for for for rest subsidy. So it's it's that and everything we want the asset recovery to do its job but we also want this to be free uh from political pressure for political uh uh interference. So the government has to be serious and that's why I think KL Martin himself is not was not the appropriate is not the appropriate candidate uh person to be to be leading the assa recovery uh Fred you needed somebody independent because clav was in a very very u you know huge legal fight with folks from the CDC u you know when he came so for me I don't think he is this person I think there's a lot of vendetta there um the president should have found somebody uh on the neutral But again, like Jacob said, we want to see the government agencies do their job, but we want to see it done professionally. Uh we want to see it done in an interest of Liberian people and really some truth seeeking and not um just on pressure for unity party folks to after political openness.
>> Thank you very much. You see, I'm trying to give everybody the time to speak because we'll do one round and then we'll come back with question and answer. So though we are observing the time but without interruption we all can speak freely. Fuy what's to you Fuy.
>> Yeah. So it's a good it's a good thing when people serving government can hold them accountable wherever entity you serve you can be accountable for the role that you play.
S being finance minister or dispersing money to government entity does not excuse him from being linked to crimes that were committed and you know he also presided over major major schemes that took place. He served as head serve as co-chair to different committees that were set up by the president. And when you serve in those kind of leadership position as far as minister also you are to see the conclusion of of those matters. So being justice bre does not exclude exclude you from playing your role as co-chair to the committee on the fin that the the the money for the rest subsidy. So why money that you dispress the the reason why you were placed there is to provide some level of oversight.
So if something went on, you should have you should have a conclusive report showing whatever that was dispersed and wherever they went. You hold all those that you gave the money accountable.
That's why that's why your committee was set up and that's why you were placed there. The specific reason why you were placed there as finance minister is not just to go and money and go lay back and drink beer and say my job is done. And you know you saw the same thing with the 25 million mobile. He presided over that as chairman. At the end of the day he praised he sung a lot of praises to that process but we saw how it ended. We saw the other report that surrounded that particular report that particular you know mop up exercise. So there a lot of things su needs to answer and you know he can go to court as much as possible.
If he gets acquainted by jurors fair enough but he needs to answer to a lot of things. CDC mismanage that country.
Sam was the at the helm of most of those you know financial scheme. He needs to answer. He needs to clear his name. So fairly there's nothing wrong with dragging to code 100 times if he's tired to 100 different scheme that took place under under the regime. There's nothing wrong with dragging to go 100 times. And that should serve as a send of message to other finance minister and others that in government that when you are given a position of trust, you don't just recklessly run the show, you know.
So he needs to go and answer. They like Clinton advising him. He refused that he cannot go to the investigation is fair.
If government got on him, proceed directly to court and build up your evidence and go to court and formally charge them instead of trying to have preliminary investigations. You know, it's fair to have preliminary investigation, but he can clear name.
But if he if he chooses not to not to be part of the preliminary investigation, it's fair for him because he might also say something that might incriminate himself. So he should let them go to court directly and address the mother there.
>> Thank you very much for me. Now we're going to bring a counselor back by counelor.
>> Well, thank you Stanton and thank you to the previous speakers.
Um, I'm a believer in the literature and the literature tends to inform how we look at whatever democratic dispensation we have.
Quite recently, the government of Liberia has consistently failed the rule of law on the MCC uh scorecard.
I think is a point of reflection and in failing the rule of law, there have been some of these furious allegations against the president that the president influences the the legislature, that president boy controls the judiciary, that he is the one who ensures that outcomes from courts are against of all for people and many things have been dead.
But I like to say that the equator of Samuel D2 is a victory for democracy in Liberia.
And I believe beyond being a victory for democracy is a bolstering of President Boy Democratic credentials.
You have, if not the foremost, one of the foremost opposition politicians going to court under President Buy and with a jury of his peers, he has been acquitted.
Those who have accused President Boya of controlling the judiciary several times. Here is a case where D12 went to court and was acquired vindicated by a jury of his peers under president boy. I think this is a celebration for president boy democratic credentials and it's important in the context of the rule of law for us to highlight this very important issue.
No prosecutor goes to convict.
prosecutors go to render a case to bring about fair and equitable justice. At the end of the day, jurors will determine what is the outcome of that process. And so I want us to see everything that's happening now, including this letter from Art is an investigation.
I read the letter. They let us say that it's an allegation and the last time I checked under law allegations are merely saying we think you did something wrong.
Something must have gone wrong. We want you to come and say to us why or why not something went wrong. So increasingly what I'm seeing as somebody who supports the president that the space for democratic pluralism rule of law support for the rule of law continue to expand.
President Ba allows the system to function and I think all of us should take you from this.
All of us should take you that it does not matter who we are or what we are.
Those are all who are the author children you know for president boy and have come to support him. We are more or less you know energized when we see that under this dispensation justice can be served. It doesn't matter who is called to the court. I mean if the jury appears say you free to go you are free to go.
And if there is a process that requires you to answer like the Arab process, you are invited. And I've always said to people or quote whether Quasan judicial order invite you. I would I agree with the my brother the American lawyer saying don't go there. I always tell people whenever any tribunal invites you to hear your side, go to that tribunal and submit upon the records of that tribunal what your side is. It's important. So I will ask Arab invite you go to Arab tell what is it THAT YOU KNOW OR YOU DON'T know and let them have it on record but I tell you all the things that are happening in our country is a victory for democracy under president boy because if it were other people the kinds of people who are primarily leading the opposition will not get a quitter Thank you very much.
Thank you.
>> Thank you very much. A strong argument.
We want to appreciate you consider. And this is what we're going to do. We'll stick with this conversation. Everybody want to say that. But let me just remind you before getting to my brother with Bura.
He serve as deputy minister.
Deputy minister for administration.
honor this whole yama yama cor subsidies not that he's involved but he served in that position at commerce so we're gonna listen to him and I also want to say though all of the five names that were mentioned one Mr. Blambo as you can see they have not served him yet the will serving he say he's home he waiting for them to bring the letter or his letter to his lawyer Mr. Right. And you guys know Samura Wood here. Samura Wood is not you know just a coma man. You know him. He was the die hard sedition right there with Sam work at the ministry. Every money and thing short long court Samur would have called it. We beat on him. But you know his story right? They sent a letter to him too. They sent a letter to mani digs.
This is mani digs right? She was the minister. She sat on the document that we're about to show you. Some document that will show you today, right? The back and forth with minister Miguel.
They want to talking about the president between she and Samuel TW. The entire team. They call her the lawmakers call her to question her. She escaped on some of them. But I think she appear once.
But whatever the case is, she serve as minister. So they send letter to her.
And this is the former finance minister sew.
I just want to challenge everyone but I will hold that challenge for later. He was called. He was invited.
I know too much into the story and I want you to be patient. Yes, the allegation of missing money. It's not about what was in the budget. That was a flash as we learn from our sources and I will explain exactly what you need to hear. So we don't have Novel the controller no. Somebody can send us new picture. We'll put it lady got scared of Facebook. So it's hard to get his picture. Anybody send it to us, we'll put it up. There are five. They are five and a lot of other people coming along.
But the first five letters went out. Let me bring in a former deputy minister under CDC government uh his owner Wilfford Bangora II. Mr. Bangora, welcome to the show, sir.
Thank you, Stanton. Thank you very much.
And um greetings to all the panelists.
It's great to be here tonight. Um I was actually late. I was meeting my students. I was uh ministering midterms to them. So we had a crawling traffic. I had to negotiate. But it's great to be here nonetheless.
you know, Stanton, uh, you know, the difference between, um, regimes, uh, the regime before the CDC and the CDC regime and this regime is that we see more quest and urging for accountability today than we saw in yesterday.
So we as Liberians must employ and employ the regime of today for asking for transparency and accountability of public stewardship. What is happening today should have happened uh 8 years back or nine years back or 10 years back. So it's very important that when people serve in public office or want to serve and hold public trust they must be able to account for their time of stewardship.
So as you know as you have stated that I had the privilege to work at the ministry of commerce and industry and that ministry is part of this investigation that is ongoing right now.
So um on the basis of that I would have loved to comment quite copiously on this matter but I would like to say that I would abbreviate my comments and um given that investigation is ongoing there uh it would not be necessary to make any elaborate comment at all on this particular matter in voke but I will now um be prepared to participate to talk about other topics uh that may come along in the conversation tonight.
I want to thank you for the opportunity to make these comments and I want to plead with the listening audience, the Liberian people directly that of course normally I am well opinion opinionated and dialogical. I like to express myself quite well but bear with me tonight that this matter is a matter that is on active investigation and I wouldn't like to delve into it uh going forward. I would just like to stop there and to yield back to you. Thank you. You're not talking.
>> It's it's it's very important uh to listen to yourself and we appreciate you. When you can speak on this issue, speak. If not, we understand as welcome to the show.
>> Yeah. Thank you.
So just quickly before I go to my comment, I don't hold the belief that warfare as a brother and a deputy minister like I was in the government will do any harm to tell us I don't know about money I know about right I don't think we'll do any harm but let me say this even after 10 billion years a lie can never become truth.
A lie told 1822 remains a lie in 2026.
No matter how you want to justify the lie you told, that lie can never become truth.
So I listened to one of my colleagues talk so much about the democratic credentials of President Brack simply because President Bai took Sat and the court exonerated him.
So we don't measure the democratic credentials by people only on the basis that you want the court to equate the person and then we gave you a codus start.
If I were a president, I don't think anyone should measure my democratic credential because I took Winfrey Russell to quote when I know Winfrey Russell did nothing simply because I want the court to acquit him and then I come and say my democratic credentials. It doesn't make sense.
You take people to court for legitimate reasons for which you have facts.
All of us know that Sam got nothing to do with $6.2 million as a dispersement minister. He dispersed it. But President Bai wants the likes of my colleague to come on the show and say, "Oh, his democratic credential is good. They exonerated him." So, President Ba talking to code despite knowing that Sam knows nothing about it.
Let's go to our current laughable level.
I don't know and I appreciate the fact that the show is so unique. Today we are talking without any interruption before I end if you could kindly do me a favor.
We appreciate you know you got three uh documents if you can just flash those for me cuz I want to base my quick uh argument on this. The documents I wanted you to flash should be one the budget as at the time the resid issue started and the budget as at the time it ended.
The right subsidy issue started in 2021.
There is only one document in the republic of Liberia where money spent from government is shown.
That document is the budget.
The budget is not an optional document.
It is a mandated document from the minister of finance to act in accordance with that law. And the budget is signed by the president. The budget is passed into law by the national legislature.
If you were to go on the budget stand, what the paper shows, what the budget shows, no other document anywhere, it shows that in 2021 for the rice subsidy under the second supplementary budget, the government paid $3.2 million for rice subsidy. That's what the document shows.
The second document which is the end of the rest subsidy time the government paid five 7.5 million.
If anyone here who enter kindergarten was to add 3.2 million plus 7.5 million I am very sure that person will get 10.7 million. asset recovery is calling Samuel 12 to answer about 20.5 million. So my dear people, >> can can I just end my can I just end?
>> Yeah, please. My dear people of Liberia, DESPITE THE FACT SHOWING THAT Sam un spent 10.7 million, asset recovery is calling him to answer to 20.5 million just so they can say the law is working because Samuel was exonerated when they know there is no 20.5 million. I think President Wa needs to go back and understand the government. It's a sad time.
>> Thank you very much. So guys, let let's do this. Please do not leave. We got to bring those in the back on. We got Paul Kennan. I just brought Dr. B on. Uh wait for it. Don't go too far. Bangura, we bring you back on. We got to hear from the rest of the team. Now like I said, everybody got to give this the best shot. But let's put the document out.
Then we'll bring in the second group of people to speak. Right. What actually Simon 12 letter say? This is Son. He was eagerly waiting for the letter and I think we shouldn't be confused here which just shooting. I would like to ask everyone.
There's a reason why as of recovery talking about 20 to$21 billion.
Make no mistake that rich make no one mistake. They ain't stupid.
something in the flash that have been presented to the Liberian people and that's the thing that talking about that when you look at it they say 2022 7.5 million but the government only gave 6.4 4 million. If you look at 2021, 5.5 million, but the government only get 3 something million. So the people look at all these document and be stupid enough to say we call someone try to explain to us about 21 million couns.
What did the letter say? You read it.
It's right there.
It's right there. They are saying 20,500 United from the period September 2021 to October 2022.
So can I imagine that Superman? So my fellow Liberian, we will go to you today. You will say your own. And maybe if we can only rest on this conversation today, that's fine.
But make no mistake when you found my brother from the other side doing math and say they are elementary math and they will add 1 + one and say that three. No.
No. 1 + 1 can never be three.
In the Bible 1 that one but also the Bible 1 plus one that two because a husband and wife shall be one.
So you cannot say that. This is just simple. my fellow Liberian. IMAGINE THEY PUT it there 20.5 million and they put the year 2021 to 2022 December the letter they are very clear. Read the second paragraph here. reliable and classified records in the custody of arat investigations alley reveal that you Mr. Samuel Tweet as former finance minister in development planning allegedly acted IN CONCERT WITH OTHERS. NOW THIS IS THE WHOLE THING IN CONCERT with others under investigation to approve and process payment of the ministry for the rest subsidy that WAS ALLEGEDLY DIVERTED. DIVERTED. NOW this is so unique. I'm not going to ask a recovery side.
They watch what he said. They are very pointed.
So Liberians you need to listen.
They are calling SW but CDC lawyer say he shouldn't go there. I don't think Arthur Johnson will agree. The council said but some say you going to seal you going speak to the nation and address this issue. I don't think that's the best place to go but hey that as men were born May 6 I born May 4th we had other people let's hear from Dr. booklet. We bring Kev her son Paul Kennedy on and we do a closing round on this. I want you to watch something. I have put in there the letters between my G we said blammo my the sign when the rest input said we didn't receive our money that riches you were right Sam Koga came on the show now he's a senator he went to investigate this right thing we need to call Sam Koga he g a lot of information and you will be surprised what he would tell you the people say the government lied to us The government steal from us. They didn't give us the money they said they give us.
Dubl, let's hear you. This one is very interesting, my people. Let's hear you, Dubl.
>> Good evening, Stanton. Good evening to all my colleagues and all those who watch and listen.
Stanton, there comes a time in the life I think of every people and nation.
We got to face ourselves and think.
And one of the questions I think we need to be asking is how well have we done doing the same thing over and over again in this country.
>> Thank you.
In in this country um the central government control most of the resources and generally most of our nation resource are in the public sector in a way which is the government. It's a tremendous privilege and responsibility to manage the poor people's money. Dr. George mentioned earlier when he was talking and I was listening. He said we're 10th poorest. actually if poorest in the world and councelor uh councelor um Bala made a good point anytime you called by any group especially having some legal backing implication to explain yourself you go and explain yourself alleg means alleged that's all it is it don't mean guilty or nothing because I think if we get into this mode where we can constantly try to minimize, expunge and reduce malpractice, mismanagement, corruption, we will be setting the country on the right path.
So if they call me two times to explain my position and I show up two time I didn't do anything, I didn't do anything and two times you will find I did nothing. It's better for the country than for you not to call me if you suspect I did something. Yes. The flip side that's very dangerous. The flip side is those who have the responsibility to hold others accountable when they don't do that not only is their relationship their duty but they're failing in their responsibility and failing the people.
And I just want to remind all of us that in this country failure of that sort has a face. That's my way. That's my that unemployed people that are hungry people. So call you go and answer. It's nothing political. We're trying to deal with a difficult situation. Our country is called massive corruption and impunity.
>> Thank you very much Dr. booklet. Thank you, Kev. Let's hear you.
>> Uh, let me say hi to everybody. St. Let's make it clear.
Uh, the document you show the letter to invite them is not an evidence in quote.
What is evidence in quote is the budget. What Isaac was talking about, that's is the evidence.
Everything you show is the same thing >> he said about the 6.1 6 uh 6.2 million.
We got evidence. We got this. We got that.
No, that's not an evidence in quote.
Everything you saying is it just a big talk.
So as everybody on the platform are professional they should know that what they send them is not an evidence in quotes. The evidence you have to show that summit did not give the money to commerce or commerce took this money and put it in their account. We going to the same thing. It's the same scenario. It's the same thing.
It's just a waste of time. I expect professional on the show to trash this thing.
Don't give it credence.
What they're doing is just money making because they're going to put millions of dollars in this investigation and we come it will come out nothing. It's a bogus investigation. You guys know it.
Everybody here are professional. They know it. We have to be open to the Liberian people and say this need to stop.
This need to stop because how can you hold the finance minister something that the IMF know about, right? something that the legislature know about and on this platform we debate this on this platform and folks went to this legislature with Bangra on the show when when he were representing uh Mani when Moani were out of the country the minister and he was the acting minister when he went to the Senate what document did he carry he say yeah I don't know but he had a file Anybody can't think on this platform and say this man was going to defend the rest issue at the Senate and just because he sent at that time say no one want it we don't but he was on his way he went there he had his document and his team to defend this rest issue but today he say he don't know but we sit on this platform and not call him out and tell him Mr. Bangura, you lying to the people.
>> Thank you, Kev. You got you on the platform. Why you calling him? You calling him out right now. So what's your problem? You must say then we you make it we butdation though because in one should go to Clinton. It's now your turn to speak. So we got to go to Paul Kennedy. Paul, let's hear you.
Thank you, Snon. And good good evening everyone. Can you hear me? Well, Snon, could you put back that budget, please?
>> Yeah. Go ahead, Paul. I put Go ahead to your >> Yeah. So, on the budget, I think they had six uh I don't remember the figure.
I think they allocated good. They allocated 7.5 million and 6.4 4 3 uh 03 billion was uh No, no, no. But this is the actual the out the actual budget.
So there's an actual budget on 2022.
>> You waste our time and we put it.
>> Yeah, but you get you get the actual 7.5. You get the upturn 6.4. Which one you looking for?
>> No, 6.4 was not the outturn. 6.4 4 was another budget year.
>> 6.4 was a budget that was not paid.
>> Exactly. It's not an outturn.
>> Oh, so you want you want the one with the altern. That's what you're looking for. The one with 7.5.
>> So So wait. So wait wait wait.
>> I need to >> It's in the chat. It's in the chat. Let me put it We'll come back to it. But this is the thing.
In 2024, there were 355,000 that were allocated for Emiry Hospital in Bapulu. Only 55,000 of that money were received by Emiry Hospital.
2024 there were 3,00 3.7 million that were allocated for public hearing for legislature.
By the end of the following year, we saw 10 million that was paid.
So if we are now curing budget to some people to see why money was not paid for certain procedure, uh I want to be educated and I will I think I will have the conversation with the financial people. But let me just speak to one issue. Someone said uh Sam dis to commerce and as the head Sam to be held responsible for how comrade use the money. I think that was stupid and sorry for my language.
>> Exactly.
>> Commerce ministry commerce ministry is the statutory ministerial entity on our laws. You cannot hold the finance minister for anything that the commerce minister the comat minister does. And I stand to be corrected for all of you educated people here as a head of an entity as a minister the commerce minister except there is a clear indication that finance did not pay the money or finance did not turn the money over to commerce then we should be having a conversation with I I I think that is what I am thinking but again like Dr. Brook said it is a good day for our country. I think people should be called where there are skep uh you know uh skepticisms where there are doubts to clarify. But one thing we should not do as people is begin to run up verdict judgments before those people come to those entities that calling them for clarification or whatsoever. I just wanted to emphasize that uh our country is feeling uh rule of laws honor the millennium challenge that to send us a signal. We should be looking to see Why is our country failing even though we're doing all these things people and making bringing them to justice? I don't think we should be failing rule of laws if we are doing the right thing people to justice. Thank you very much.
>> Where is Fuby? No, I think Fuby spoke and uh Kany went in the back. I want to say to all of you it will be a great show. Let me see this folks and I do believe the important of this investigation will be an eyeopener.
You can play politics all you want.
Whether Senator will be exonerated, whether the investigation will lead to indictment.
Every Liberian should wait. And see, I don't think anybody's stupid. Paul Kennedy.
If your understanding is above another person understanding, it doesn't make them stupid.
It's your job to educate them. So what we are saying on this show is important to know that Senator must he must he must go for that investigation unlike what the American lawyer Gad Clinton is saying he must go for that investigation >> on what on what basis >> excuse me chief chief you will have your time now I beg you if you interrupt me again we'll hold you in contempt it's a very important way to start this conversation The amount is very very clear $20.5 million in question then sedition saying that only two time they collected money and the two money they collected came up to $11 million that rich saying clin 11 million from 20.5 million you want us to believe that all the bad operations and look at the people >> and look at the people he's calling Samora he going to call he have called and send a letter to Mr. Blambo we said we said blambo you know all that in there you say NSA were looking for the puppet today they couldn't find him and they said went all over to look for the woman they said the woman pressure were high you know he just came back from America now say pressure go high now he's on the lens maybe they will find no more the woman say he won't go to tell you the truth that go I'm serious The woman pressure was high. The woman got to take medicine and rest because when when I gave him the news, I said NSA is capac.
But you say it's not political. But you say NSA to find people >> the woman pressure because they had to find you know close off our country arresting people now.
>> Can you imagine using NS?
Yeah man.
the riches in they went to the old man I think his former house of where and you know he wasn't there they got to call Prince Johnson to make NSA available two of them playing close the one looking for the man I got to call him I call him if any know where you call him he said my son I hear what the people say I said pap they come to look for you they come for you he said but I hear I will call I said call your lawyer you can hear the that they distress briefing that you know in distress I felt sorry but at the end of the day they calling him man digs again they calling her and novel whoever the new guy is still trying to find a picture they call it him guys take it or leave it let me say this to every one of you if Sam is not guilty in this issue that's fine but what we are saying here is a good day for our country the investigation must go on the investigation will go on and everybody will have to go and testify but I will say this openly openly if any one of you ever did literature you heard about uh Mike Anthony people are willing to testify where the money I think this is Noel. I believe this is Noel. Yeah, this is Noel. That's it.
Yeah, this is Noel.
So I people are waiting to testify where the money went. People are talking. So I beg for us to move on. Do your closing on this. You know you know something something you must just be very careful with because you know the come back to the country. He press come back right papa he press a pap a very decent pap we understand where we are boom he gone consult on the show but you guys didn't read it you didn't SEE IT NOBODY TALKING TO he said in the after he get that line in the >> back.
But guys, let that close on this thing.
I think it's only fair.
>> I think it's only fair when you look at the document, the letters back and forth, everything. You see somebody moved the money that Rich is in K&K Trading Company. They they are complaining 120,000 USD were given to them. Nothing close to the middle of dollars. Look at the contract the embleude that was signed a lot of discrepancy a lot of people need to answer and I'm saying to you though people are talking Paul Kennedy nobody we know the work of the finance minister we know exactly what sour was he was appointed nominated confirmed to do right but the issue is that when you have people conspiring together moving money whether he was involved or not he need to go and answer questions, right?
Because they am man was huge. They had a whole committee that came together October 17, 2022. A whole committee that was set up, they moved money, but not all of the money was shown. And that's a problem that Rich said, "Let close on 7 and the rest of the guys. This thing now going to open a lot of our bags. I can tell you that people talking and but I will say something before I close. I want everybody to keep an eye on this guy.
I know what I'm saying. I want everybody to keep an eye on him. I can guarantee you and I will give this breaking news.
He will be another wafer on I >> want everybody to keep an eye on this guy. This guy will be another one that will say, "You know what? I get my wife for my children. Let me comply."
I move on to those that have an ear. Let them Yeah. Dr. Richardson, let's close and we got to move to the other issue.
>> This this these cases are exposing the justice system and corruption in our country. That's what they're doing.
Um I I hope that as Clam Martin proceeds with these cases that he'll be able to strengthen the justice system in a way especially the jury system in a way that barbering the jury system or intimidating them or political influence will not be you know uh the order of the day you know because once you do that you decrease public trust. in the justice system and this is where we are getting in terms of um of these cases. I mean yes Samuel you know he was acquitted previously um and this only does not apply to Samuel it applies to everyone that does not mean that excuse him I think somebody used the word excuse him from other cases and I think I heard Dr. said if he's not guilty, you can call him 510 times. You will go there 510 times, they will not find nothing. But >> transportation though, >> I'm I'm sorry.
>> The government is not providing transportation to >> Well, I don't know if what the system is gi um in terms of supporting uh plaintiffs or defendants. I don't know what the system is in Liberia to do that, but if they have to provide him transport, I never heard of that. I know I know that you have to go to court once you but uh the the issue is here you know if he's if he didn't do anything wrong he didn't do anything wrong we need to have this process in our country whether it's this government or previous government yeah Mr. the candidate telling us money was allowed to uh hospital in Bahulu never got there.
Okay, that's this is not the first time this is happening in ourh uh government process. It's not the first time but we need to get to the bottom of some of these things of our Thank you.
Thank you very much. You want to say something on this now? We moving we're closing this thing up. No. Uh uh yes, Den. I think um folks that folks have said it all and you know I just say I mean uh we all know this, we all talk about it. Uh corruption is um our Achilles heels. Um and it is so deeply entrenched and systemic um in the country is you know and if we can't get it right if we can't fix this you know corruption and impunity uh because they both go hand in hand I mean we're going to we're going to have a problem. So uh whatever we can do, I know the um BA administration, President Ba is actively attempting uh some structural legal reform uh in that regard. Uh but we still have a long way to go because not only corruption but even the perception of corruption, I mean it's across the board. I mean, you have, you know, a report showing that almost 90% of Liberians uh still think that uh still have the perception that corruption is a problem. So if we can't get it right uh Stanton and and so that's why I applaud these efforts to try to address corruption uh impunity uh you know and all of that and whatever the government uh can do uh to address that uh the investigation uh but holding people accountable not witch hunting people but holding them truly accountable based on the facts based on the evidence uh that the government has I think I think it will go a long way in trying to you know >> let let me ask a question so sorry you are saying something you answer to the investigation right >> yeah I mean uh whoever Mr. Mr. you know, everybody he Yeah, he should definitely answer to uh whatever questions, whatever. But I'm just talking in general about >> Do you consider this is Is this a wish to you?
>> No, I What I'm saying I'm I'm speaking.
>> No, is that what you're saying? I'm just asking a question. Is this a wish to you?
>> No, I didn't say that. And I'm not >> No, I'm not saying that. I'm asking you a question.
>> Uh it it I don't have all the facts, but it doesn't seem like a wish on to me.
Okay, Iman, same question to you. Should he answer the the call? Is this a wish?
>> We we we don't have all the evidence before us. I won't I won't want to characterize the of any investigative Asian agency as a wish hunt. Where we will start speaking to wish hunt is when we look at the evidence like we see in the LACC case.
We read the report from LAC and we knew on the show that that there was no way you could indict Mr. Samuel TW because the money was was moved from the finance ministry into the central bank received those money.
Well think we asked okay government if you say some sto money then show us the report. you didn't show it to us so we can sit that but this one is an invitation on an investigation. I mean the same thing apply that to George right and I don't want to you know waste our time on this though the must show that s gave this amount of money and those amount of money that were given he went by he w or he did it conspire with folks for them to eat it and lie the same thing applied though it will be in this case >> well stent it appears that the same thing applies to this case and it seem we were very cautious when we discussed the initial case. The scene will be cautious here.
If the government believe the documents we have with us say 600 million was passed to to commerce.
The government is saying what 21 million or so. So it seems that the folks at the at Arab has another money somewhere. So I'm I'm not going I'm not going.
>> And that's the key and that's exactly what you heard us saying that some kind of money out there that you don't know about that Liberian people don't know about are taking this thing to 21 20.5 million.
>> Yeah. So so so what I will be looking for like I was looking for in the in the in the with the extra money that Arab is talking about where it is. So if they can prove it in a court of law, no in inviting anyone for investigation, I would never see it as wishful. But when we get the case and the government cannot prove that there was an absent amount of money, then it's wishful.
That is wishful.
>> But but but but politically though is is this government gaining or losing with this kind of argument? Politically, what do you think?
>> The government have not won a single case of corruption. And I continue to say on the show, this government appears to be like BM boys. They flash you and you think they have money.
>> I got I got I gotta leave you there. I got to leave you there.
>> All right, Governor Clinton. What do you think, G?
Put aside because everybody's very clear that investigation is not an indictment.
>> Put that letter up, please. The letter that please put it up one more time.
>> No, go up. Go up. I want I want to see something. Oh, okay. So, the RX says reliable and classified records in the custody of ARC. They alleging that as min of finance to acted in concert with all to uh on investigation the proof and process pment for rights that res that was allegedly diverted the president.
You take take that thing off.
So TW you're reading you're reading that letter. Does that letter sound like they are asking for TW to aid an investigation giving his role as minister of finite or they making allegation of his direct involvement in colluding with people to divert government money to personal uh to personal accounts? That's exactly what the Arab is saying. Now as a criminal defense attorney I am not encouraging to to go and submit to any investigation.
Look the constitutional protection for any accuse to remain silent is important is there for a reason. You go and start talking the investigators have a way to elicit information they can use against you in the court of law. You read the letter. They're saying they have information. They have all the information in the course is reliable.
It's classified. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO HAVE TO GO AND SIT down and talk to that again for for what? They have everything they need. That's why they said in the letter so let them go and take the case to court. I'm only advised we had to talk and and I find it very quite amusing that on this very platform we are saying that with a bangura who was deputy minister at the ministry of commerce we encouraged on the platform say don't pushing it because you know if you say something you know this is investigation we don't want him to incriminate himself but at the same time saying must answer has to answer you know you got to you got to decide what you really want if you believe that in the interest of like everybody should submit to this investigation then you You can't try to shoot with a bangor from it. Look to your question, I think this is a wish. This is a wish because like you said NSA when did we start to use NSA to start to look for people? I mean if you have a letter deliver outside recovery ain't get nobody deliver a letter and this is a subpoena.
Don't we have sheriff from the court that can do it. So when you start to use NSA when you start to hear the party put talking about we didn't get on 6.2 million but we're getting on 21 million.
All this put together the context about everything put together said this is another plot by the government to go after the CDC sty and this is why we say is if you're saying that you have evidence that tw colluded and provided money to direct to people's personal account go and try the case don't waste our time with with any kind of invitation that's why I say at this point you need to start providing transportation to start going to other investigation because I don't know how many other investigation you're going to ask in the country >> thank you very much thank you that Dr. BL let's say you quickly sir >> did you did you say Dr. Brooklyn stand.
>> Yeah, because me >> I spoke I spoke on the matter and you know when you go to a rep for these investigation, you're also entitled to counsel and I'm sure my my distinguished um um um um esquire attorney knows that.
So knowledge to to a very educated man not just gonna sit in front of people and just start talking. He taught his counsel to get guidance and whatever.
But again like I say we shouldn't be cavalier and we should try I know it's hard for some of us but we should try not to be political. This particular cancer is killing the country.
development is painfully slow and we just recycle these vicious stories.
The same thing people order there five milling. people over there three mill missing and then I go to Balu no chairs and then I in bombing social volunteer in the district and then I go to KMA only one teacher for the whole elementary school and yet money just get missing misappropriate is an evil act against the people of the country we're doing everything we can to try to mitigate to minimize to reduce this and in the process we respect the rights of people and you can do both. You can do both. You don't have to trample over people's rights. But I think every government, whether this government or another government, should be consistent in a fight to try to minimize and reduce and rid our country of the cancer, of corruption. This is part of it. So to call you, you go, you answer. If you didn't do anything, guess what? You just didn't do anything. and you'll walk free. That's my take on it.
>> Thank you, Dr. BL. Asa, go ahead now.
Close up on this.
>> Well, start on.
So, you have heard everyone saying their peace.
Dr. I don't think the government should just call anybody to just go and answer because they have to answer.
I think the government should call people based on probable cause.
I don't want the government to call you that just go because the government have to call you. I don't think the government should call carefully. I don't think the government should call that just call anybody. I don't think so.
I don't think so.
So my people the governor of Liberia operates through one channel. One one that channel is the national budget.
Every penny that leaves government or that comes to government passes through in our national budget. There is no other book anywhere that President Trump get in office get that money can go through. Any money government pay outside of the government covers is in a national budget. Any dime that comes to the government is in a national budget.
Standard you are asking if clatting is done. I want to believe so. If that's your question because the thing is simple stat you have only one document where government monies go and camp one the document right in front of you so you can pull it back up again the one document clearly shows that Samuel T paid out dispers as a disment minister $10.7 million asset recovery is calling or s to answer to 20.5 5 million. My people when you pass the budget is different from the outcome. The budget is what government expects to spend. The outcome is what government actually spend. If you had $10 million in a budget and you spend 1 million, the only money you are liable for is 1 million, not 10 million.
SO DESPITE THE FACT that Samuel T may have had 100 million and they spent 10 million, the only question we believe a sound human being should be asking Samuel T should be 10 million. As a recovery, no one in library including President Ba is a challenge to him can bring any document that shows Samuel dis 20 million. This is a wish home. You know what? Right after s gave the government a bloody political nose from the court in no time they hire other kids.
It is not about fighting corruption. It is about getting s we must get him. If your intent is to get someone that is not about corruption, it's not.
How on earth you have a national budget through which every money passes in telling you the people only paid 10.7 million but you calling a man for 20 million. Where did you take the other money from? that President Trump saying note where the money was and again as a recovery now and speaking again we have evidence we have evidence when I beg you I beg you >> when the time when the time comes they will be looking for evidence although today one plastic bag of water is $10 the only thing that the government thinks the Liberian people should be aware of is that the last they must be truth and we got the surprise that CMC Jacob J I say thank you very much Jacob let's hear you my friend and we go to Kev Hassan we got to make this thing fast fast Jacob >> yes uh in in my in my first round of comment I pretty much exhausted uh my thesis on the matter but I would just make one or two more point quickly you So this whole fight uh against corruption and the whole culture we try to cultivate in terms of ensuring public trust that public resources are protected and are expended for their intended purpose because as a country we have we are a country of grave defect defects in many areas healthcare education uh you know we we're in a very terrible state as a country and we need to catch up very fast. So every penny is so useful for uh for our country for our people. So again we have institutions you know and those institutions are responsible to ensure that questions are asked where question mark exist over the way public resources are spent.
I like I said I'll reiterate my point.
Arab and all of our national institutions are there for a reason and Arab we spend public resources they have a piece of job to do. I will not come here and and and and say we don't need them. We don't need them to ask questions places where they need clarification. Now how we do that is the is where professionalism comes in. And if you look at the the previous case, you know, involving former minister Tw that the ministry of justice prosecuted.
I think the ministry of justice was was greeted with enormous public public relation disaster down there.
Even the way the solicitor general managed himself in that case. He went on public radio and said even the injured from heaven will not save Sam. I mean that that planted a great deal of doubt in the public. So it was a PR disaster on many when that case was not properly professionally handled from the PR perspective and it saw a great deal of distrust in the public around the direction of the case. Now I don't want Arab to fall in that trap. I don't want Arab to repeat that error that we saw in in the trial in the gun trial that that that former minister was clearly acquitted uh over. So they need to learn from they learn lessons from that. They need to approach the activities and the work of Arab in a way that will engender confidence within the within the public and the Liberians will say okay they try to get they try to ask question they try to find out.
>> Thank you. Thank you.
>> Thank you guys. And this is before Kev and Kennedy and my brother Fuby come in.
I want to say to all of you these are not indictment. These are calling forward investigation.
U those of you that listen to up to us, you got to understand it's important that whether SW go for that investigation or not read the letter. Let me just remind all of you they were appointed reliable and classified records records in the custody of arat investigations allegedly revealed that you s you got to understand that you blam we said or we said blamo that you s that you si You newville is very very clear very very clear acted in concert with others under investigation to approve and process payment of the ministry for the rest subsidy that was allegedly diverted is important diverted how can we miss this kind of good good information so come with your lawyer FY come with your lawyer don't leave a lawyer back but I can say this to you must I remind you look at this October 17 I don't want to put some of the thing there up I will keep it because you know I don't want to go ahead of ours October 17 2022 there you know the tax force was set up by President George Mana for what to ensure the availability of the nation staple of food on the market and design and execute measures that would make rest available at all time.
Who were involved? Who were all the players involved that they want to get first? The ministry of state for presidential affair honor George Mania who were the two ministers that represent that position lately one follow and we said blamington you were there.
>> Yeah. Yeah. So you got to understand that we said blambo he was in that position HE CHAIR LOOK LOOK THIS WHOLE asset recovery thing the people ain't stupid my people he chair that committee and that's why the pap pressure went up high today I pray to God that somebody should check on him he chair the committee it wasn't my girl he chair the committee who else on that committee you don't let me tell you on the show tonight I'm begging y'all The cochair were who?
The cocher. Who were the co-chair?
Sam, he coach me. That mean it's in the document. I'm so I'm BURNING RIGHT NOW TO REVEAL TO YOU SOMETHING I have in my possession.
So when plant talk about 20.5 million, that's not a joke, guys.
I see my brother G talking about 7 million, 5 million, 3 million. Yeah, we didn't say we didn't say that guilty.
But they say they got enough evidence, classified and reliable evidence, >> then go to court.
>> So then you get other members, the minister of agriculture, then what's her name? Jenny Cooper, she will be called commerce and industrial. You remember, right? He's here. commerce. She right here, right? You got justice minister then just follow the list. Mad mus justice minister labra chim of commerce center national authority.
Look at the man Steve Flampe coordinator Japanese counterpart value fund the honorable Charles B economic amass PRESIDENT THERE ARE SO many people that THEY GOING TO CALL THIS THING is you see nothing yet so you come to us and you make us understand on this show that nothing going to happen that blah you see nothing yet so so so for me let's hear I don't know. I like to hear fire. I beg you chief is my pain right now. Then we come to Oh, you know how this this is this a huge FY a lot of people name Charles Bride and all of them will be called Fubby watching you.
Yeah, you're right. That's why I said earlier Samuel serve as co-chair. So his role in that is not only finance minister that did disresment to say oh my job was to dispress the money I dispress it. I got nothing to do with it. Your co-chair for that committee you are accountable for what that committee does or so. So you cannot say you finess money and your hand there. No, that that that cannot fly. There are a lot of things those guys did in that country and they know. So there are guys here most of them also they benefited from all of those the sports and those things. So they will come in strong defense they not wish and they s about the role that they play. So everybody that play a role, you have to answer.
That's how you going to change the country. We had an opportunity to to prosecute you. He said we are all related. So he forgot about corruption, the fight against corruption. And he guys decided to bathe in it. For him, he got presidential immunity. So nobody can go after him. But all lieutenant around him, none of them are cover protected by law. So he that protection does not extend to them. So the asset recovery team is doing a job which you wouldn't give them the benefit of the doubt to go after them. If the jurors decide to acquit them again, if they move from the investigative level to the court level of full prosecution and jurors decide to say, "Look, you guys are not guilty." That's fair. It's only jurors that that decision. But Sam needs to answer because he played a pivotal role in the whole scheme besides this brushing the money. And you're right about because budget you show budget f you doesn't mean that excess money from other angles the budget or two the also will show you okay yeah we spend this but actually if you look at receipts you look at checks you look at other you can uncover more evidence than just looking at the face of the budget and say this is what was was there on the budget you can argue about 10 something 10 something million but at the How much were actually spent and where did it go? Those are all question that will be you have to answer. So as a coach you have to supervise and show that whatever funds were for subsidy to ensure that the rice prices came down which didn't come down and you have to you have to account for it. It's fair.
So so then now on so CDC guys we need we need we need a fight against corruption.
is good for the country.
>> Thank you.
>> You want take care of Come on. I beg I beg you. Let me take my time. Maybe I'll for you. Let me take my time. And you you see um uh Stenton, you will make us win election.
And like I always say, when you come up with this, you know, when you build up the the the unity party base and they listen to you, they think that this is a slam dong.
Dr. Richie, you remember the cloud foundation case? They build that that emotion, build that thing. I hear I saw my my brother Billy D was saying, "Hey, hey, why why they doing this our nation?" I saw I saw uh my my brother there George Dr. George he almost cried because lay down. Amen.
Amen. You will make us win election in this country. I I I can pay you to continue this.
Continue this. I I love it.
>> You know about Kev. Let me make small.
He said he can pay me. No, no, no, no.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. I got to tell the people this right. The message you can pay me at my house doing the show. The man at work doing it not too far. But he can pay me though. What What kind of ball is this?
You you you misunderst you see because because you remember with the 6.5 6.2 million uh you remember uh Dr. George, you said the people the money for our farmers and all those thing, all those thing they lay down and you said it right. Those guys are Yahoo boys this government and they're selling something to you know people can say don't buy the cow because of the voice they they selling the cow they're not showing the cow they're selling the cow because of the voice that's what they doing they doing right now how will you how will you hold uh responsible say oh he part of the team that this 11 million were in the budget before they formed that that that committee in October. This is 2022 to 2021 2022 they put money in in the 2021 2022 budget and that committee that way in October the next year it was election year.
>> What else?
So, so >> October 17, you put it up October 17 progress.
You said people should let me make my case now. Even if I talk my own closing, we got to go. Seriously.
>> YEAH. BUT LET ME FINISH NOW. Let me finish. You understand? So when people in flight, you distur people say people do it to you, you say, "Oh, don't do it."
But I want to remind the Liberian people there. So claw we areing to you the same language that using people are talking the evidence solid to the Liberian people they're solid matter of fact they went on the street start putting car yellow car sting people on the street say yeah we'll get it we get everything everything become a lie so what I'm hearing from stent I'm going to beg him and nobody should stop G. Please let's beg Senator to continue like this.
We go to court and the government cannot prove it. We will come back on the on the show and we'll be the tallest person on the show. Let Stson continue to push exactly the way they pushing and the way they telling him. My only disappointment is they're selling things to Stenson that is not true. It's a smoke screen.
It's not true. Go back to the cloud we have. It's the same thing. Go back to to the same thing. Go back to everybody.
>> If we're on CNN, we cut you a lot of time. Y to repeat yourself. You say the thing three time already. Then you say it. We got to go. Tom is money in this business. You talking about CL we got to cope. We got to cope man. We got to cope. Stop that. Let me let me bring it. Right.
>> Yeah, >> there's a smoking gun here. Paul, there's a smoking gun and only the reason why they are calling SW right because either he going to answer the question or he going to say take me to court.
All of them they either answer some of the question or they said take us to court. Paul say you let's close all this.
>> Yeah. And it's not and I said from the beginning I think um the the process of continuing to uh pursue the allegation of corruption in our country is a good process.
There's nothing wrong with it.
uh we want for them to bring everyone to justice or to probe into every matter into our country that is linked with corruption because corruption has done too many bad things to our people.
Several people have died in hospital because of corruption. So I am a proponent of having a an effective uh system that crops down on corruption but I want to also admonish the administrators of these processes to do right to do it you know honorably. I saw one of the charges that Sam uh is linked to diverting money for personal use.
It's on that letter. He he it's alleged that he coh with people to divert money for personal use. Why? They were buying Coca-Cola with the money. They they saw them take receipt. They they didn't char they didn't charge summit. I didn't say the charge. I said you saw one of the charges.
>> My man, listen.
>> You said you saw one of the charges. You get reliable information.
>> No, I just want to correct you though.
You said you saw one of the >> If you don't interrupt me, if you don't interrupt me, >> you were at the lab for talking about community policing. The man were there.
You saw one of the charges. Can you send me that picture? You are the lab police for sure, but you say you saw one of the charges. Which one going now? They charge >> on on this letter you just put up.
There's an allegation on that letter that states that Samuel TW was >> right allegation. Not charges allegation.
>> But you But you think you are you are you are listening. We are more open.
>> Allegation talking.
allegation could also be charged right on the LA National Police.
Then he talking about allegation and charges. He represented this platform on Gregory Labro National Police, right?
How can he do that? Then he come do this to us, man.
>> I'm cleaning my time. I'm cleaning my two minutes.
I'm cleaning my two minutes. I'm not finished. The gentleman interrupted me.
I'm not I'm still I'm clean my two minutes. Uh Madame Chair, Madame Chair, please let me clean my two minutes. So, I'm starting again on the letter that Stanton put up. Uh the letter indicates that the former minister Samuel Tu and others uh there's an allegation that the play were around with money and diverted it to personal use on the previous indictment charges with the 6.5 million. One of the charges was some embezzle money and use it for personal use. Whenever you pissed, >> whenever you claim that somebody use money for personal use, whether they are giving money to girlfriend or they are buying Coca-Cola or they roasting corn, you have to prove it.
And that is the sometimes what they are not able to protect you. I'm a public health expert with public health and public safety and environmental management.
invited. Let me tell you, I WAS INVITED.
I >> I was invited to the police dialogue, chief.
>> I was invited TO THE POLICE DIALOGUE TO CONTRIBUTE AS A LIBERIAN AS A LIBERIAN CITIZEN.
>> You having >> We hope we can hear you. You're having technical problem.
>> Kev, can you send me that picture, please? Kev, I wait for you to send me that picture, please. Saturday nothing.
>> Yeah. Yeah. But you know where can you come by if you're ready though because internet giving problem. I want to hear but guys I mean I think it was good on this round. We want to say thanks to all of you for for joining us as always. We will be here to do our best to give you the story. Something awful to said today. You know, usually we don't talk about us for, but let me just in line with the same thing. Let's listen to Oswhat to see what we're going to learn from him or what we can say in reply or in response to him.
>> Moving forward, the next step, the two defendants found guilty by the jury that's filed a motion for you trial under our criminal procedure law. This motion has been filed within 4 days after the verdict. We will be fing resistant to the motion for you trial. The judge will sign the motion for new trial for there after he will rule either denying or granting the motion for new trial. If the judge denies the motion of new trial, he will schedule a date for judgment and sentencing of the defendants. The ministry will make a vigorous submission to the court arguing for sentences that reflect the gravity of the defendants crimes and serve as deter future abuse of public office. The convicted defendants will have the right to appeal to the Supreme Court from as Mr. S4 the case is not over because there was a home jury or a dead jury. The judge will declare a mistrial relation.
The fight against corruption is not a sprint. It is a marathon. It asks for patience, resilience and enduring fit in our institutions.
>> I I think we got the message right. I want the two council to speak 141 against I believe that's the position but they will be very very credible tonight. Guys, you listen to the uh AG the justice minister of you know I met him two weeks ago in New York. You know he's a decent guy a quiet gentleman a very shy gentleman too. Uh but I would say to you though let's talk about us to a year. These are some of his quotes from today. We strongly believe that the evidence show the defendant conqued an an illegal scam to defraud the government of Liberia. Two national security protects operational methods and sources. It does not protect a simple account of where public money went. Three. The war against corruption is not decided by a single battle. Full national security. We read this. This is the fourth one. He says the fight against corion is not a sprint. It is a marathon. I I want to come to against first Clinton then we'll go to CO. Uh Clinton let us hear you his position that some will be retired some will not.
And he's very forceful today. I'm never see him speak in social way to watch the Uklit.
>> Well, my take from from today, you know, I think others were really responding to the unity party zillas who, you know, have been calling for his you know, Ali's resignation or the president to remove him uh because they felt that, you know, this a big blow to them that he didn't do well with the kids. So I think you know if you listen fully he's responding to them that you know this we cannot make this a a fight about a certain person we we have to make this a threat about justice and so I think that's his response but there are other things he said you know that I don't agree with that national security secrecy is only about operations and methods uh it's not about you know how money is spend of course it can be about that that's like telling uh the CIA station chief in in in Afghanistan that use that you know given $30 million cash to go and give to sausage that he has to come and talk about that sources never never happen it's not going to happen you know so yes you know sometimes the way you spend the NSA you know is going to spend money you you know you're never going to know about how that you know because you can't get but my thing is to oy is talking to his people um as far as retrial of course um the hong jury um they can retry then I've heard all kind of uh arguments about uh you know going before the Supreme Court and and if these defendants appeal and somehow it can go before the Supreme Court and the Supreme Court is supposed to uh if the Supreme Court agrees and overturn their their you know their conviction somehow that is supposed to now be a a new trial and so to kind of nonsense you know that's that's sheer nonsense. Uh the Supreme Court cannot overturn a not guilty verdict from the jury. Uh that's never going to happen. Double job.
>> Thank you.
>> Thank you very much. Let come to you K.
What see you listen to the senior counselor in the country as well?
Well, I think the first thing to say is to sort of clarify your branding uh of our uh opportunity to weigh in on this matter. This whole for against I think it doesn't apply here. Um I support President Bai and I'm all for the rule of law. So this is not a black white argument of for versus against. is on the issue. So I think in that regard we must stick to the issue. I think president boy wants a country where the rule of law flourishes and if somebody goes to court if they are acquitted on the basis of a jury of the peers then they are acquitted. If there are issues the law offers remedy. So it's not four versus against uh here it's on the issue. So we must do >> Yeah. You can say that but you and Clinton not going you and Clinton are not going to agree. You can say that but Clinton will disagree with you. So that four >> Yeah, he can disagree. You can disagree against >> I can also dis I can also dismantle the branding and I I say I don't do for versus against on the matter. I want to deal on the issue and I think it's important for me to say that. Well, let's come to uh Minister uh Tw's uh position on the issue.
Uh I think he spoke about the rule of law. Pretty much the government had a theory uh that um monies were stolen, people are supposed to be tried, they were tried.
Uh AJ came down with verdicts.
people were acquitted. Other folks were found guilty. They are exercising their right to remedies at law. And as a ministry of justice standing by their theory, they want to uphend what has been I mean what has come out of the process. So they're going to use legal remedies to do that and that's why he's communicating.
But beyond that, I just like to throw in and I've said this already to a few folks who are listening. Stan we had other conversation we won't put it up here you know for public consumption you know what I said in our conversation but what I will say is that prosecutions are not meant to convict that when you when someone there's an allegation of malfeence fraud whatsoever the whole idea of the prosecution is not to convict in fact the code of moral ethics of lawyer rule 14 is very clear the role of a lawyer of a prosecutor is not to conflict is to ensure that justice is served. Now to the extent that we can clarify that justice was served the ends of justice was served the matter is resolved that is what it is but if we believe that beyond that there are other issues to investigate then we go beyond that and I think that is how at least based on my layment's understanding I think that is how the justice minister spoke all right about you know what the remedies are according to law and I mean like I said before folks accused President Boya of you know commanding the judiciary when Kofa was removed people said the president call the the the the Supreme Court and instructed the Supreme Court to act in a certain way to remove Kofa and there's always these allegations today you have a you know you have a primary political actor in the opposition that's been acquitted why is nobody saying that President Ba called a judge to me the conflict Thank you for the rule of law and we should celebrate this and celebrate what is our democratic president.
>> Thank you very much. Thank you guys. I'm going to go to Dr. quickly and then we'll bring in we got to move on. Let's see that Richard is coming.
>> What you say?
I'm I'm in a zoo. I'm hiding from >> Let's hear you on this one. Can you bring peace here? Uh what you think of? What's his intent? What what you heard? I mean, give us your own take away from us press statement today, sir.
stand. Unfortunately, or maybe it was just my my audio system, the justice minister were extremely loyal to me and only thing I rarely saw was full quotes that he put up. So, I really want to speak to what he said. I don't want to misspe um he was very loyal to me. I could barely hear.
So, guys, thank you very much. We're gonna leave it here. Everybody shouldn't talk when you have I beg you. We let's just move on. Let me bring in something that is so concerning here is the water issue though. You guys are in Labra. I believe my brother K is stay. Maybe he left. He went for his birthday present.
The government gave him huge amount of money. Maybe he went back to South Africa. But let's talk about this water.
Gave me no money. The government gave me no money.
>> Every day you would say that is untrue.
But why?
So that's a propaganda bring Joseph B to power. So let's just >> so let's just let's just move on though the hardship in the country. I say you in Liberia right people are complaining that water going to everything price is going up now water now going to 10 $10. I want us to listen to this gentleman quickly and then we will hear you guys briefly telling us exactly what this country is having >> in the water sector and then based on that we even have meeting with the vice president republic of Liberia. I was opportunity to be part of that meeting and then he called the stakeholders together and we told them the situation that we are faced with. Even by then water was still sold at $75. We got an increase in the price of gasoline from $800 to $1,225 in some sectors and also that we have multiple government agencies that are coming to inspect our factories and then they are operating charges. Let's take for example the Pinsville Cafet Corporation Municipal Authority has charged each water factory in the Republic of Lad 110 United.
So if you have let's get something United States dollars for one machine.
So if the factory has about 10 machines, it means that they are going to to pay $1,100 United States dollars for municipal tax to the city of that is outrageous. We have met them. Nothing has been done about it. We met the vice president. We told them about the situation. the poly stakeholder meeting including the commerce minister the L boss uh the moi was in that meeting and uh EPA was in that meeting. EPA has been charging us for $225 United States dollar permit environmental permit and now they are saying that we should add another $250 which is amounting to $475 United States dollars that we have to test our water to a third party laboratory.
So yeah, just here just here just the thing though, right? And that Thank you.
I'm trying to bring you back just clicking off, but let's just agree on something here. I see everything is going up. Look at the different charges.
I want you I put this in the chat room.
Listen to this guy. They are charging on everything and now the people are suffering. Let's hear you. Let's hear Dr. George and Dr. Franc on this and then we'll move to the closing topic.
But everything is crazy Isaac.
>> Well, Stanton, thank you. So, I think if if if a government comes to power and backslides on its priority, you see these things happening.
uh instead of the government placing it focus on the actual bread and border issues uh once the government decides to prove certain point that it made to the people in the past entire focus will be shifted from what it should be doing to what's not necessary and this is what we see how many times have we not come on the show on our Facebook pages and made the argument that every government policy does have a corres corresponding effect on the economy.
A federal quote I've always made is you cannot play politic with the economy.
Propaganda does not feed the people.
Propaganda does not put food on the table of the people. You have to be sincere in running a country. One other thing the brother didn't add. Let me add it that quickly that increment in taxes will always lead to suffering of the people. I am one person from a financial background. I I don't subscribe to the school that higher budget should mean higher taxes. I do believe that higher budget should be meeting the full potential of existing tax structure not additional taxes. Whenever you think that you had 900,900 million budget last year and you want to have 1.2 billion budget this year, the only way through which you can achieve that is to increase taxes. You are only putting more suffering on the masses.
Exactly. We are seeing a bank of water has been increased 100%.
It is. You know what? Let me just say this quick. You could think that the $5 increment could be little, but you are talking about 100% increment.
Thank you.
>> Thank you. See you about this whole water thing. People are crying though.
Seriously, the women are crying. They are complaining. Water, water, water. I need for today for $10.
They started yesterday.
I sack yesterday for one thing.
Water for one sack of water. So water selling water for $1 for buying for one patient $10 for one bag one bag of water $1 120 15.
So the richest in the message is clear though everything prices are going up even water.
>> Yes s this is alarming and this is sorry and sad for uh a lot of Liberians especially you know the women who are suffering women who and Liberians who rely a lot on water because we know the temperature in our country is is hot is is very hot. So most Liberians instead of drinking you know like gear would go for a soft drink or something they tend to use water more. Uh so water is is very important.
It's a very important commodity in our country. Um and given that the price uh increased we know that you know some people can blame this on the fact that we have you know the war going on in the Middle East. So they affected uh the the uh the the price of water as well. Some people can blame it on that.
But in this situation, I think that all of the ministers who have involved for example, water and sewer, commerce minister, the president, they need to add a voice, okay, to this issue of what exactly is the price of water in our country. They need to add a voice. They need to tell that binle speak to that bimple and tell them what to expect. But we have like a disjointed system where some places you go water expenses. Some places you go water is cheap. Some announcements we hear, oh this is the price uh you know is 80 LD for water. So it makes it hard.
Who do we believe? It makes it hard for us to to know you know exactly who to believe. And so I think that they should come together have a roundt discussion and add the voice and and one more step they should go they should go to places where people are increasing or hijacking the price of water for their own good you know for to make money so that they should be able to monitor this uh uh uh uh water price. If we do that, we'll be doing good for the Liberian people.
>> And you can tie this water to the current LC situation in the country. I see that you really want to come in B before bringing Dr. George B. What say you?
>> But I think it speaks to uh affordability issues. I mean we have um people cannot afford I mean basic thing as as water.
Um when we live in a tropical country, one of the wetest countries in the world, we cannot provide uh safe drinking water for people and even though the the water that is it has been that you know people have to go and buy water and they don't have the means to just buy water is is it's unfortunate Stanton. I mean, uh, I know we have affordability issues, you know, all over, uh, even in the US, even here in Brooklyn Park, we have issues with affordability, but in Liberia, it's a it's a it's a it's a different thing, you know, because even if even though we have a vulnerability crisis here, uh, you can go places and still find food to eat, you'll be hardressed to find someone who's going to go to bed hungry.
Right. But what I'm saying is that uh so granted we have this the sort of issues that sort of is universal but the in Liberia we should not have people who cannot afford safe drinking water in a country like Liberia. I mean it's just unacceptable.
and paying, you know, uh um the amount of money that they paying uh uh it's it's it's just it makes it makes no sense to me. So, the kitchen table issues uh uh Stanton is what's going to make or break this government. We got to turn things around. They got to be able to make it where people can afford the basic thing like getting safe drinking water to drink and and you know and and it's it's it's it's incumbent upon this government you know uh to to improve the economy to do the to to do that to do some things differently to make kitchen table commodities affordable and water should not be one of them. I mean seriously, water should not be one of them.
Not in a country like Liberia that is the wetest country in the world.
>> Thank you.
>> Let's let's see Dr. B. Oh, Dr. Jo will come to you one minute. Dr. B, let's hear you.
No, I this is one place I would caution the government to tread very carefully with taxation and increase in prices.
They have domino economic effect.
You know, GST short a while ago 10%.
That went to 12.
It's going to go up to 15.
Water is a necessity. 100 Liberian dollar sat with 30 bags in it.
And yes, it's true. Most of our places and people don't have clean drinking water. So, they depend on that bag of water a lot.
Do your best to not increase prices or taxes. Do your best. There are times when the market will work, the invisible hand will work, supply and demand will do that thing because constantly tempering with taxation. Taxation reduces disposable income.
translation people are getting poorer because you need more money to get the same thing. I will caution the government to be very careful in that department. This whole water thing, they need to reverse that and make this easier and more affordable for people.
It is so very important especially necessity like water.
>> Thank you Dr. BL Dr. George poor Kennedy kept her son Clinton before we move on we got to wrap it up >> councelor can't you have not spoken on water right >> okay we'll come to you go ahead give me your time >> within my time I know you have a design so you see this this word patriotism nationalism they don't happen overnight You have to feel your country loves you for you to really love your country.
And unfortunately, we have a country where we have to wonder all the time whether they love us, whether they really care for us.
Because let's look at this.
First of all, the government want us to understand and support them because price increase is caused by the close of the street of Hamus and the increase in the cost of electric gasoline or petroleum products on a market.
Every member of the government including my brother Cano want us to Cano rather want us to them. The government wants us to be patient with them because of that.
>> I'm not a member of the government. I support the government.
>> The government wants us to be patient about that, including their supporters.
But let's see what is this government doing now for us.
So government say be patient, but it refused to be patient with us. So let's look at a bill they are adding up right now.
city fee $110 EPA permit $225 laboratory test $ 250 then after we go for laboratory I don't know what the Nfield money for now come and say give her 150 then you have to go to Liberia food agency the Liberia national standard agency it is in times of difficulty that government relief pressures on on on their citizens and government relief pressure by and taking hold of it.
But they won't. What our government is doing is making sure that those people in B Mountain are collecting over a billion dollars a year while we getting chicken change instead of working on that.
This is greed. Hopefully the supporters here my dear brother Kany will go back to his government that he's supporting.
Talk to them that these prices they can reduce it until the end of the crisis we are going through. That these things that they are implementing they can reduce it until we go through the crisis we are going through. Let them take some of the hardship for honor Liberian people. As I said previously, many of my colleagues who are returned to Liberia, who are returned from Liberia, the report is stating that the country is difficult. Things are hard.
President Bua and his minister need to leave those big cars with get on the street and to really understand the challenges our people are going through and then you increase the price of water to $10.
I agree with Dr. Brer on this one.
When people find it difficult to pay for simple commodities that is important to the dayto-day life, they will react and when they react, many of us will not be happy.
Thank you.
Thank you very much. Clinton.
Okay. Councelor uh Clinton, are you with us? Maybe get internet problem or Kev, you want to go?
>> Yeah, let me go. Yeah, stand down and let me right when they people can say show me uh your priorities. I will tell you who you are.
Look at priorities of this government is to go after people wish hunting doing lot of and misleading uh information saying things but the important thing that they ran on they are not doing it they only doing it for themsel rescue themsel you are not seeing prices are coming down or this things happening because they're focusing on the wrong issue True. They're focusing on the wrong uh uh part. When you wake up in the morning, Stanton, you take $6 million to investigate a bogus case and that $6 million supposed to be put in to ease the pain of the people. Then you tell me who they are as a people. Now they going to take another $67 million on this right issue. That money supposed to go to different thing to to help the people but you come you using it on bogus cases bogus cases and that's the priorities the main mission in Liberia is to help the people is to help the people but the people are suffering everybody tell the country but they can find six7 million dollar to go after the political enemy and I'm saying this thing for people, especially some of our people on this platform that you have given us this this huge mic to speak and push and talk on behalf of the people.
You cannot be using money more than the money you fighting for.
You say you going for 6 million, 6.2 million, but you're using $7 million to fight the case and you're not getting anything. You're using more money to fight cases and you not get you're not bringing in nothing just to have just to just to to to please your your propaganda that you ran with.
So we have to call those people and and I'm and I'm calling on folks that that center have giving us this huge mic to speak this truth to power and let the people know that they they're fighting cases and spending money instead of using that money and put imagine Dr. the booklet. Let me speak to you. Imagine the money that is spent on the on the 12 kids. They take that six or seven million dollar put it in schools or go to LU and put it in LU and change on the ground. Imagine that.
Imagine that. That's why they taking money spending it and they getting nothing because the cases they are not winning the cases.
crying on the street. But what we hear the government saying prosecute somebody for the wrong reason.
So show me your priorities and I will tell you who you are and this government in your priorities is not for the people.
>> Thank you Kevin. I don't know the government went after FIA $6.5 million and you see the government spend 6 to5 million.
Why can't you try your own and leave other people home? Man, are you are you a spokesman?
The government went after the government went after the case 6.5 million. Then the government same 6.5 million.
>> That's why I'm TELLING YOU THE GOVERNMENT SPENDING MORE than >> but the government pay lawyers. The government pay few. the government all the MONEY go together because you know even if you want to do propaganda how it work then the government SPEND 6.5 >> THE GOVERNMENT SPENDING MORE money >> I want to put in the budget for I was at the beginning to the end.
>> I call you three times. You didn't answer. We did. We call you access. How much?
>> We we call you.
>> Stand.
Please mute him. Uh you and your colluding. Your guys don't think about me going to the police to talk there.
That's not your problem. But but let me say this.
Today I will always support I will always support ke today the whole day I will support kev but but stand this is it is 2026 commodities we bought in 2023 and 2022 will not be the same price today because of inflation and I am not an economist but my little health management accounting and economics I did tells me that and when you have inflation it impact the cost of commodities I've live in countries with very high taxes like Switzerland Belgium and every places but my thing is tenton when government collect tax I want to See the tax the taxes working.
When government take tax and increase tax on commodity, we want them to use that tax to expand the city water supply.
You cannot have the pump in Balu that is not working. I will not accept that.
You cannot take money on taxes and put a hemp pump or a well in Bapalu that doesn't work. But then you continue to increase taxes around the country. That for me is not fair to the people because anywhere you live on earth, Stanton, you should pay. Even the America we live, we pay a lot of tax there. But Stanton, you come out of your house, you stand outside, you see that the taxes are working.
The taxes are working.
I mean, my son go to school, the school boards come and stop to his house. All of the taxes we pay.
So, I I I wouldn't get mad paying it.
Not only would I get mad paying taxes in Liberia, I want to pay taxes here, but I want those taxes to improve on the services so that we cannot continue to pay high taxes and get limited services.
When you buy the mini the the orange or the the the lonar mini stand my internet keep going up because the meaning is nothing you are paying a lot of high taxes but they corrupting you they are taking everything from you that is where I have problem so my suggestion to government is listen this thing you need to do the tax incrementally because when you do it abroad and just do it all over the place then it become burdensome to the to the taxpayer And that is not sending a good signal of you for political reason. But of course, we have to pay taxes to get development.
U you know I want to see the taxes being used to develop the count the country.
That is why I have >> Thank you. Yeah. You are saying you have to the taxes should speak and the taxes they are not speak from increasing taxes and and and these things these things are p you quad for right but to increase >> yeah yeah I'll bring you in let me just say this because we talk about water water thing you know as much as mo but this is the water b you know post the lady said lady Sebastian said we need Chief Mo say Sebastian good joy from Singapore you know the the fact of the matter we laugh with these things but you know you know but thank God he apologized and you know he say these things sometime they are frustrated he trying his best he trying to change our place but these comments shouldn't be put out there because it is wrong of arrogance >> you cannot put such a statement out there on the arrogance it's not that's not frustrating I I I use my own word. You can use your word, right? If you know what going through that he have to travel all over.
I know he shouldn't do that. This is >> he doesn't know he's going to be so frustrated. He can simply look public service a privilege. She can simply resign and let somebody Yeah. to the morality thing. I think I just he's been arrogant. You know, look, for every government position you have, there's at least a thousand qualified Liberians. You are in that position because of your political proximity to the president. So, you're given the privilege to do that. I mean, you're the most qualified Liberian. I can do it.
You're It's just because of you have the opportunity.
>> I said, "We got to take you off, man.
You can't be putting dark shadow on our show, man. If you cannot show me."
>> No, no, no, no, no. My man, we don't know what you doing in that car or who you get in that car, my man. Get you off. No man, you see movement, but you can't see the two people in the car.
No, no, no. The man is live on spoon talk. You just see movement in the car in diagnos.
>> Yeah, man. No, FOR REAL. THE PEOPLE calling me said, "But why the car in the car with you, bro? You just to be a loose guy. It's wrong." Yeah, he's not coming back. If he doesn't have life, he's not coming back. Why not?
>> He's a loose cannon. He's a loose cannon.
>> SO, you say you saw two eyes.
>> Yeah. I just two hours in the dark like two I SEE FOUR EYES FOUR EYES LIKE THIS and I can see one movement. How can you do that on the show? This is ridiculous. LOOK AT DARKNESS. NO NO NO NO.
It's a disgrace, MAN. IT'S A DISGRACE.
You can't do that.
not go home. Look, but but look, I think I think for me, I think Ali has just been arrogant. Like I said, you know, you're in a position not because you're the most qualified Liberian. There's a lot of good managers, water managers or just administrator, you you're privileged to do it and you have to, you know, u respect the Liberian people who are paying you to do that job and you don't respond to them in that manner and fashion. So for me, I don't think it's prescription. I just think it's just sheer arrogance. You know, people get into a position and then they forget that, you know, they have a piece of job to do librarian when they accountable to the Liberian people. Uh but you know, you said he apologized. Well, onto the next story on the issue of this water issue. Look, you can't overemphasize the the necessity of water. And if the government wants to tax whatever else they want to tax, they can tax it. But the need to make uh water accessible to people. It has to be available. It has to be accessible. And I think this increase in water uh the price of water is is really troubling. Um you know like that the booklet said that $100 give you the 30 sack. Uh people look up to that because you know we don't have water and sewer all over the place. You know you know people depend on these factories to purify the water and sell them at very low prices. And I think the government has to do better. And like I said, if the government was prioritizing what they should be prioritizing, which is these kind of economic issues, instead of running all over the place, uh, since this government come came to power, they've been doing all all the the poverty has just been all the wrong things. If they were not running behind for fire to get from the capital building, uh, they were, you know, not they were after or, you know, they were doing all these other things. So, but these are the bread and butter issues that are important to Liberian people and the government has to do better with this water issue. It has to be uh less expensive. It has to be accessible and the government has to do better.
>> Thank you very much. We're going to bring as though he's in the darkness.
Let him send a birthday greetings to his son as we say in the darkness but go ahead do it quick and we'll take you out. Happy birthday the little Michael.
So the full eye you are seeing how we see the full eyes.
But you know today today is a special day for my boy Michael. I wanted to try and send out a shot of happy birthday to you. He turns 13 today. uh the man uh you know like I posted today whenever whenever the a man greet greets me in the day uh his message will always end with that can we get some money to McDonald's you know always tell me no not today you have some yesterday but my boy happy birthday you are growing you are growing big the man is getting fer than I am I'm not sure being so frisky but again uh you are doing good happy birthday uh growing Have a good peace my boy.
>> We want to say happy birthday to Michael Annie heart and soul and mind and everything. A good woman bringing up a good son. We celebrate. We celebrate our little Michael. We wish him well and God speed good in education, good in behavior and we pray that God can continue to shower his blessing upon him. So on behalf of the network, little Michael if you're watching, happy birthday to you and your dad will see you soon. Though he left you for Liberia, but he will soon be back to celebrate with you. Happy happy birthday to you. All right, I say thank you. Go back to your normal.
>> Happy birthday, Mark. Keep >> go back to your normal so you see my man. But you so messy. you so messy like >> but you know what let's end this thing I want to say been a wonderful time and let me ask you now seeing all the problem especially the water problem and people are complaining on I want to ask Dr. what you make right or I don't get to say >> I'm sorry can you go ahead I thought you did go ahead >> oh wow so you just like forget that I didn't speak >> can you you you in plenty places with national library you appointed to grand jud and you say you're not part of government it confused me when you say you're not part of government but talk water.
>> Why Why are you trying to subvert from the issue? I I don't work for governments that I mean I mean um I'm a private citizen. I do work wherever there's work to be done. Let's not create that impression because you want to already >> I I got I got to hit on you. I don't know when I will see I don't know when I will see you again, but anyway, go ahead. Let's try. You you try to subvert from the whatever opinion I'm about to share on the water issue after acting like you didn't know I didn't speak and then you try to go past me on the water issue but I was still what I have to >> that's why they got married woman got married because just complain yeah complain let go Oh, say happy birthday to my son. You start telling him hi, you know, good woman.
All I wanted the message, just say happy birthday to my son. But anyways, back to the issue of water, the the problems afflicting, you know, Liberia. I mean, first and foremost, what I would like to say is what I like about Ali is that he communicates.
He does uh when there are challenges within the delivery of water, you can fault him on some of the things he says and I will consign that to the enormity of the task. The fact that providing water not just in Monrovia because I know the water and seaw wall has endeavored to go to the southeast. They explore Grand Jia, they were in Maryland as well in other counties and water is going to those counties. So when there are challenges when a 36 in pipe you know is broken he communicates he puts it out there and people know that a pipe is broken and that's why they are not getting water and that is a challenge now to simplify or try to oversimplify the fact that the price of a bag and I'm not saying that Liberian should pay more for water but we all know what is happening in the world right now and we can just brush it off. Everywhere in the world, prices are going up because imports are becoming more expensive.
Petroleum that we travel with to move goods and services from one point to another has gone up and the prices will go up. It's important for people to know Ministry of Commerce along with LPRC and I think a few others have adjusted prices three times trying to subsidize prices in Liberia. Why aren't we telling that story that government is doing its part to stabilize prices and the fact that water has increased is because these are the challenges. Now if somebody wants to equate this to the democratic process then is they saying let's not have election because elections are too expensive or whenever you say to vote for a president. No let's just continue with the president we have because if we want to vote for a president we're spending too much money. I I don't think they compare. So to come back you know to the water issue. Look, I think Ali is doing a very good job of communicating, of working hard, of letting people know why they can't get a service and when it's completed, we will get that service. The prices have increased because of certain reasons that we know. We must communicate to our people. Should government do more? I believe they should. But we should not create the impression that what is happening is happening because nobody cares and because they just want it to be that way. That I disagree with and and I hate the fact that people try to conflate these issues with other issues like the anti-corruption agenda like the government agenda. I think those are separate issues that should not be you know handled together. Thank you. Thank you for finally giving me the opportunity to say.
>> Thank you very much. I just want us to close. I appreciate each and every one of you here uh for coming on the show.
It's always good for us to be here. We got about 3 minutes to 12 midnight in Liberia. We have to close. We have to stop here by faith. Tomorrow we'll continue one of the major story we'll be discussing the more is this what I put in the chat room about the national uh identification registry. Uh the name is uh Peter. You got to understand that you want to read this letter. This is about the award that was given to our strike group concerning the Liberian identification registry. It's very important. You want to read that the government these people bringing around $55 million you know to start this project. 55 million for a 35 65 35 share. The laban government will have 35% and these guys will be carrying home around 65% right they have awarded this to them we will put all the document out tomorrow but then we ask the lab people is it about the money that the government that they are bringing in around 55 million or we don't have the expertise to do this kind of job the equipment and everything it's kind of different these ad cards and ID is it will be so unique. We're going to get into it tomorrow and you want to listen.
We got all the document it was awarded to them the players that were involved again who bid it for this no objection from PPC. Whatever the situation is, you want to listen to this tomorrow. We'll share those document with you. But yes indeed, like I said, public procurement and concession commission, no objection.
No objection. Where did no objection came from? They spent almost two years.
The president said a committee upon committee. But finally, they as good going to take them. I also like to say in our closing again, whatever you want to end with, that's fine. Uh uh Charlene Bronkin, she you know will be going up there to represent uh Liberia on Echo as legal team. Charlene Brunskin, she won this thing. A good thing by the way she won it. Just imagine she will be representing Liberia now. Uh Edwin Snow announced it. He did. He announced it.
That was two seat though. One about the Ara the agricultural and one about the legal aspect. Shouting won the legal aspect. beaten but um what's her name?
Uh the lady that went against Charlene but Shali won right I don't want to >> okay there you go I already know what they call her name but Betty Lame Shali won so Shalin now will be representing Liberia another vacant said I was there for Liberia the three Liberians represented uh depos from finance mame abula mame our own Abula Mame and that of Mr. Duke the deputy bank governor at CBL they went over there they took the test they went for interview and guess what happened we don't know it is not officially announced yet who won the bid who actually the job will be given to again deputy minister for finance deposu ambula mame and that of duk three of them they went over there they start for the interview and Uh the results are all but they were waiting for president bark to come back to the country to confirm this. They sent a report to seranti. I'm going to wait tomorrow then we announce the grades the schools everything we have it but we'll be announcing to the nation if the government if the government fail to announce will tell you exactly who won that who won that between Ambula Mame he's currently in Liberia the Puzzo the deputy minister for finance and D central bank deputy um uh uh commissioner how you call them deputy governor so it's in this regard that you will understand that one of them won that seat as well so I I hope you just stay put. We'll bring the announcement to you. Another thing I really want to say while we're closing is that don't forget on Sunday if you are in central Jersey around the metro area in Pennsylvania. There will be a huge debate. Huge debate. I went to you and Trenton today. I look at the entire place. The setup is unique. You want to come. The time is there. We'll be moderating this debate. The presidential debate and that of the vice presidential debate. It start at 2 p.m. You must be there on the 17th. You have to be there.
No if and the but because this will be so interesting. We get Daniel Watkins and Peabody. We got Alberta Jibli and that of Cockro. They will be there. We will be having a very very interesting debate and spoon will carry live. Dang Slangger and I. So want to say thanks to all of you. Whatever you want to close from, people are calling for the head of Mai said that they should remove her.
Whatever the situation is, it's up to President Ba. But want to say thank you.
You've been a great show. Tomorrow we incorporate also the LDC. Now yes my closing final for today.
All this nonsense about morula.
It's up to any one of you if you want to address it. I call it nonsense.
When husband and wife having issues whether it lead to divorce or not and people try to use that for the political gain is very unfortunate.
Mor Yakula and her husband they don't have no document that they were divorced they are not yet if even they made up the mind to do so it's their own prerogative people saying they get a video sexual video naked video put it up put it up if you can't pull it up just shut up because you don't have anything we shouldn't bring down one of our own because of politics.
Whenever sexual video come about, naked video is out there. We know them. We can call names. But I am not going to do it whether CDC or unity party. But there is no one naked video. No one. And I dare anybody because there's none.
But that's the politics we do in Liberia. We denigrate.
We insult and later on want to come back to make friends.
It is totally absolutely wrong. A young lady, a young lady and a young man or older lady or older man get together, they marry. If they choose to go the separate way, it's up to them. But you cannot lie.
So all those folks that saying they got sexual video, if you want us to pay for it, we pay for it. If you want to put it out, put it out now. But we'll protect the right of a female here on our show.
It's absolutely wrong. You got a sister, you got a wife, you got a daughter. It's shameful to see some men trying to denigrate and say yes, they will put her sexual video or you don't have anything.
This is wrong.
Respect her like you respect your mother. Respect her like you respect your daughter. Respect her like you respect your sister. for the sake of good heaven. Leave her alone. Talk politics. Engage her politically. You don't have anything. And I wish her family well. I wish her son well. I wish her husband well. And I wish her entire family well. I say my only to you to play politic. But you don't have a damn thing. And you got nothing to put out.
Thank you all for the beautiful show. We can do our closing.
Standon, thank you for speaking up against the horrible act of denigrating a very brilliant woman in our country.
So, thank you for doing that. Um, today we spoke about, you know, the justice system in our country and to me all that is happening to the justice system is just exposing the weaknesses in our country.
uh our country definitely is susceptible to corruption and barbery and we can see it. Uh for the life of me I don't know how uh three out of five members can be saved can can be acquitted. Okay. And then two is charged with conspiracy and criminal facilitation in a case. My question will is and will be now what were they criminally facilitating or what they were they criminally conspiring against?
Then we move next to the next case where Samuel is involved in. He was or he yes he was the u minister of of of of finance. Definitely he will be involved in distributing money to different agencies. So if he gets called in, he has to explain as we said on this show before.
However though, it's not just about somebody said, "Oh, this is this speaks to democracy improvement or enhancement in our country." To me, it speaks about the weaknesses in our justice system.
I've said this before. We have weaknesses in the jury system. The the prosecutor and the defendant needs extra training. In my opinion, they need we need to have forensic audit. We need to have lifestyle audit. We need to have documentation originality because we can go to you can we know in Liberia you can go to World Trade Center and get any single document you want to some extent.
Okay. But we need to have all of these in these things in order and to focus on a justice system. We need a government that will decrease their own personal spending. Okay? a government that will be able to speak to the people. Here it is. And lastly, the issue of of water.
When was the last time, you know, that the people who are responsible for pricing in our country, the people who are responsible for water in our country, the people who are responsible for making policies in our country came to the Liberian people and told them straight up, your water price will increase, your taxes will increase, what have you. Nothing. We know every day.
Right now if I turn on my TV I know Donald Trump or somebody else will tell me about the war going on in the world.
So I am aware but it requires speaking and communicating. Our democracy require frequent communication with the people with the citizens help educate the citizen as to what is going on. So on that note it was a great show. Thank you everyone and I'm thankful for the safe arrival for of Musailly political leader of the CMC to Liberia. Thank you.
Bob, thank you very much, Dr. Richardson. Dope, please.
>> Yes, um, thank you. I wanted to ask my good friend Kanye. He said that Mo Ali he appreciates the fact that Mo communicates well um about the issues with water and I having maybe I missed the communication about the plan for water in Mibi County. We're right here next to the Morovia or even the plan for all of Monserat because I was in Benville all those area there's no running water. So maybe Mo communicate I I'll be listening if Mo can re you know re reprint that communication or post it somewhere so we can know. I think the challenge for me is not that we don't have something but that there's no vision to get it. And if we're building a modern society and we're trying to do without clean drinking water and that people have to do that themselves, then we're missing a great opportunity to to put this nation in a good place. We building a road down the highway. In other places, when you're doing that center, you run main lines. I had a friend engineer who came to Liberia for the first time and he said, "Doc, you're what you're doing is the engineer's nightmare." I said, "How so?" He said, "I see no main lines for anything. So you will come tomorrow and pay four times more to do what you should have done when you had the opportunity."
There no main line. So here we provide our own water. We clean our own water.
We treat our own water and then you say you communicating where water is a necessity just like electricity. So those who have the privilege to lead pay attention and do right by the people will be better for it. Know the good news about these kind of services everybody enjoys it from Mos to the president. Everybody enjoys it and the nation's healthier and more productive.
So I pray that we have a plan, a 15count plan for water supply in Liberia. Thank you, Stan. Thanks to all my friends.
>> Thank you very much. Who's next?
>> Yes.
>> Yeah. Let me go let me go uh next. Let me uh let me say this, guys.
We have we we need we need to put Liberia first in time of um what this government is doing and right now if you check the budgets the money they put in there for the arrest.
Look at it. Check the budget. Every budget year they put money in there for them. Especially with the budget year coming they look for those bogus cases.
They flash it. They act like they doing something. After they put the money there, you will not hear the case anymore.
The cloud where Foundation cases are nothing. They playing in the minds of the people.
They go in the minds of the people. They using that emotion because the people feeling the pinch.
They're telling them that those people stole your money. So they go in there, they put money, they budget for them.
After that, you never hear anything. But when you look at the charges, you will see the same language, the same language for and uh uh Madame Claw Mar, the same language they use it.
Just look at it. So they they they just using that same template. Just go in there, get it, and just share it.
It's a scam.
You you you have to put every party hat away and just look at it.
We want to know if someone take money and put it in account in the K Island. If you don't have that, it's not a case because every finance minister are not a spending entity. They don't spend money.
The next thing they will come for more of exercise. They will come for this, they will come for that. It's all money making.
The money they put in the budget should go for schools, should go for and and medical support for our children. Things are happening. People are dying. Imagine you know how many homes that they demolish that they could build for some people that sleeping. Women are sleeping in cars being uh women are being raped as we speak because they sleeping in cars because of the action from this government.
This is real. This is real and we have to look into it.
They are not winning the cases. They are not coming. Barely a week you brought another case against Summit 12. And when you look at the letter you will know that it was a rush because they addressing Samuel as they saying at that time that Samuel but gave the money he was a former minister. You're local he he cannot be a former minister why he gave him money. He will be a minister.
So you see you see the rush with that letter calling him former minister at that time.
He was a minister proper at that time.
So when you look at the the the letter they sent to him and look into it I know you guys are brilliant guys a lot of errors. Yeah Dr. I beg you. But sister, let me just take 30 seconds.
You know, when you look at it, you guys are brilliant people. You read that letter over and over again, you will see the error. You can tell that they rush to put it out. They don't have anything.
They're just using the same language, the same thing, the same thing. And they put money, millions of dollar in the budget for them. Look at the asset profit. Look at the budget.
Nothing coming out of it.
So arrest. Thank you.
>> Thank you. Uh who's going next? Uh Porkin approved. Yes. So you won't sleep on us.
>> Thank you. Before my internet or my le give it Dr. Brooklyn, I want to read echo his rhymes. Uh water is a necessity like electricity man.
But look, I will pivot a little towards to speaking towards the issue that matters to me.
Uh, Billy D, the local government act of 2018, the county development agenda and the arrest agenda for inclusive development are three of the best policy document I've read in recent time and you know most of the things I do is just analyze policy see and and see them.
If Liberia only pays attention, and I'm not looking at a specific government, but this whatever government it is, if they pay attention to doing what those documents are calling the government to do, I think our people will do well. The local government act is calling for decentralization of this centralized government here where everything got to be done by the minister of fin or ministry of commerce where you talking about schools better you sit down in one of the the richest counties uh uh uh uh in Minnesota but that county is running the school system and the health system. It is not the state of Minnesota running the school system and the health system in your county.
This the the the CDA, the county development agenda is calling for that.
But the Liberian government official have decided no when we when we decentralize government then we are decentralizing corruption because we only want to be the one to steal. So we can't empower the county officials or the county government. Then we're going to be insignificant because we're not going to have the authority over dispensing money or cutting money or moving money around. Why are you making life difficult for yourself when you can you can you can share your responsibility with the with the counties? You can share revenue with accountants. to the country fund their own capable people to run government.
They pay taxes to the to the national government and then everybody does well.
I heard people talking about carrying pipe from here to the south is not possible. You're not going to have money to lay any pipe from Mont to the southeast to to put water in the southeast. You need to do rural wateration project there which mean you have to create whether it's the is the surface water or groundwater reservoir to be able to supply those county individually. Nobody got money to live po from P land from from wings to to railways or grand crew. You don't have that kind of money here in this country.
So decentralize the government reduce some of this high pay Dr. The labron government salary annually is 350 million because everybody work for government.
But if you decentralize some of the responsibility on this national central government, let county government take over. They'll be responsible for paying staff. They'll be taking some of the burden the wage bill from on the central government and then central government focus on that central on developmental projects and policy and making sure our school systems are strong and our people get quality education and our agricultural system work. I mean I'm not their consultant to teach them but if they want this country to do well they can do well by decentralizing the funds and the resources we have and the functionality of government. Thank you very much.
>> We will call Mr. Kennedy to be our consultant to help the country run well.
>> Oh my go.
>> Okay. Mr. Councelor Gina Clinton, you want to go?
>> I mean, uh, it was a great show today.
Um, you know, the fresh topic, very important one. I think everybody shared the the position that we all want to see Liberia um you know be a better country and to do that is to ensure that public funds are expended for the purpose you know to serve the Liberian people and those who who are capable of diverting those funds to personal use must be made to account for that. I think the issue is when um the people the folks who are charged with that responsibility allow um politics to drive the decision that's that becomes a problem. Um the water issue is important. I think Dr. Brook spoke very well about it. You can't overemphasize it. Um the government has to do very better on that front. We you know they have to do way more better. But you know we look forward to another show tomorrow. U good night to everyone.
Thank you. Uh let's do Billy D and then uh Miss Dr. George, you can take us home.
>> Thank you. Uh it was it was um a wonderful show. Uh and appreciate all of those who uh join us tonight uh by listening, by watching and also by sharing uh the show. uh it means a lot uh to all of us uh who take our time to come out here to contribute to the conversation, contribute to the discourse. So we really really appreciate your efforts too in in that regard. Uh Stanton, it was great uh to hear you speak um about the despicable uh act that we see uh going on in our country relative to uh our friend and our sister uh Miss Mariah Yakula. Uh it's unacceptable the mories of our country. I mean especially you Dr. Brolet, not to put you in the spotlight, but uh you that comes from the the clergy background of and Dr. the richest too with the psychological background and they're saying the mories of our country have been so um uh uh so destroyed or tinted or I mean it's just it's just crazy. I mean the kind of behavior that we see uh people exhibiting now in the country. I mean we saw a couple weeks ago what happened to this young lady out in um in the in the red red light district and and how she was treated. Uh so we you know I don't know um what we can do but definitely there there needs to be some sort of there needs to be some uh sort of solution uh to this attack on women uh in our society. I mean across the board uh we need to speak out uh loudly about it but um more importantly hold people accountable and I know some folks who are arrested for what happened at red light and and this uh situation that is happening now with Mariah is is wrong is bad and we need to condemn it uh in the strongest term.
I will um end by you know again reiterating uh our concern my concern and I think I shared this with a great number of Liberians that we have too many traffic accidents in the country there just too many traffic accident the only time we speak about it when a one of our loved ones or someone we know uh but um those people too who have been killed on our highways uh they are families They have names. They are individuals. They are one of us. So, we need to do all we can to reduce and minimize traffic death, you know, all around the different uh uh traffic corridors in in the country. And we can simply just get some radar cameras to check uh a radar um equipment to check speeds uh in the country. Uh we can get some good laser radar. It's not going to cost more than $5,000 for the three full radar supported on all of the ma major highways. Uh once you start penalizing people, I think in holding them accountable, I think we try to reduce and address uh the high speed, high rate of speed uh that people are driving on the highways, the reckless driving that is occurring, you know, on the highway and all of that. But um we need to do something about it. There's just too many death uh unnecessary deaths um due to uh accidents a vehicular accident um in the country.
Thank you. Uh it's been a wonderful time and uh thanks for this opportunity as always uh Stanton and uh great being with you all.
>> Well, uh good evening ladies and gentlemen. Thank you for the opportunity to be your homes this evening. I definitely appreciate you for watching the show whether you was on YouTube Facebook like you are listening to us on the radio stations. Uh it was a wonderful conversation with Stanton Dr. Richardson Bed Dr. Ber Paul and others who who were here and have left. vlog.
Today, from yesterday evening in Liberia to today, some member of the Unit Party Machines went out against a very respectable Liberian citizen, a female.
I appreciate the vice president Madame Jo Howard Taylor and the press secretary to the president Madame Kafana for both coming out to speak against these cyber bullies who are members of your parties but they decided to take another step especially a member of the house of representative who went out to to to to question the loyalty of the national congress Mr. exam commies by stating errenously that our colleague who who we hold in high esteem were were dismissed or fired from being chief of staff to Mr. Cummings.
Perhaps many of you who leeches on other people especially the government do not understand that there are people who have morality with them and who have talents and can work in other places.
So therefore when madame excuse me, completed her studies and was called to the Supreme Court as a counselor of law. She made a conscious decision to go into law practice and then made a conscious decision to be v voted in as a vice president of legal affairs of the attorney national congress and through all that process she had the blessings and the respect of the political leader Mr. the comments and she continued to see her inner circle as a close confidant to the political leader.
So let me dismiss that. You cannot be someone whose signature was signed on a document in your absent against the rules of the house of representative and you want to question loyalty and morality of someone who has stood the test of time even when you could not against him and took him to the courts of Liberia. You were defeated or lied on a great person name and today you decide to continue on that lie.
Hopefully you were caught and you were changed from that from from that behavior.
Look ston Liberia need support and need help and that's the reason why Mr. Alexand arrived in Gigali the the the African CEOs forum that brought that is bringing over 2,800 CEOs from around the continent of Africa and around the world where he going to have conversation to invite investors into Liberia. That is what is important. That is what the Liberian people need. We don't need a government who within a time of crisis is increasing the price of of of water instead of finding a way to find solution for our people. No, we need leadership.
Vietnamese bring leadership to the Republic of Liberia. Yes, we stand firm against the fight against corruption.
And we support every fight against corruption in the Republic of Liberia, but we cannot continue to waste taxpayer money for cases that we end up not having the evidence that we need to win those cases because it does not deter those who are who who who are caught when we cannot find an evidence.
And hopefully the Liberian people realize this and in 2029 will change this government and bring a government that is able to investigate, win cases in the code of law and minimize the act of corruption that continue to plague our nation. Thank you so much for being a part of this conversation tonight. Have a wonderful evening with you and your family. I look forward to this conversation tomorrow.
God bless you.
Yes, I want to appreciate all of you.
Dr. Richardson, thank you very much. Dr. Ba, as always, may God bless you all.
Ben, thank you. Paul Kennedy, when you're coming back, I heard that your wife seriously concerned, but you you need to come back. You have overstay your time. Da, I know you will run, but I have to give everybody >> I know you have to run, but I have to give it a message. Rich is saying run also. If you can't stand the heat, you have to go out of the key. Emmanuel George, thank you very much. We appreciate all of you. But one thing you said which is so important and I think is is very close to home. We need to stop grown men and women speaking about issues, you know, when you talk about married couples. And I just appreciate everyone, you know, like I said, you have no tip, so you put no tape out there. You will not. This kind of politics is wrong. Thanks to the former vice president, Madame Jo like you said, thanks to Kula Fufana and everyone else that got involved, you know, to just denounce these things. Thanks to them, you know, let's respect our sisters.
Let's respect other people's territory and God too will bless us. Want to say thanks to all of you. Have a wonderful evening for Kennedy. Please come back home. Come back home. Come back home.
Bed is home. He went to labor with his people. He came back peacefully. Emanuel George is you know when will you take you know my sister to Labra to Paul Kennedy. Please come back home. Please please come back home. We thank beg you.
Okay Paul thank you. Have a good night.
You say thank you. We thank you for that. I know where you going. Thank you to all of you. I want to say thanks.
Thanks very much. A wonderful show. Till we meet again. I will have to close it from this end. May God bless you. May God keep you and may God save our state.
A lot is happening and I know yes indeed you will continue to ride with us. You continue to down with us. You continue to speak that our country tend to be one of the best in West Africa or Africa as a whole. We do appreciate you every day for the bala uh good we say thank you very much. Peter and Hmer, thank you and everyone of you don't forget. Finally, Dama is telling me that by this Saturday, he sure of getting the rest to the people. I'm very strong. Thanks for your contribution. The rest are there.
The money is for Diamond. He going to make sure all of you that called in and continue to call and receive your rest.
We say thank you very much. Have a wonderful evening. God bless you. God keep you. Don't forget Sunday if you're around central Jersey, right? Or somewhere around at least the metro area in Pennsylvania. That will be a powerful debate. A powerful debate coming your way. Don't forget 2026 election debate.
The presidential and vice presidential candidates debate 200 p.m. The address is there. The address is very very clear. 351 Prespect Street, Trenton, New Jersey 08618.
If you have nothing to do Sunday afternoon, just come and hang around the LCA election commission 2026.
Man, this will be moderated by Damos Slanganger. Yes, indeed. It will be fun.
It will be great. Trust me, I'll be there to moderate. It going to be a classic one. Uh I went there today. The building is unique. The hall is huge. It can take at least 200 plus people. So come early. Come early and take your seat and get involved. You will have the chance to ask question. You will either be asking Danny Watkins or you'll be asking question to Alberta G play. 2 p.m. the vice presidential debate will take place. Then 400 p.m. the presidential debate will take place. But come early and come and be part of this great historical town. West World Recreation Center. uh 351 Prespect Street, Trenton, New Jersey. We will be there and we will be live. May God bless you. May God keep you. Have a wonderful evening. Good night.
