Claude Desktop Is Worse Than Spyware. Here's What It Leaves On Your Mac.

[00:00:00]People are calling Cloud Desktop Spyware. As a cybersecurity architect, I'm saying it's the wrong word. The right word is even worse. You install Cloud Desktop, not a Chrome extension, but Chrome went into seven browsers anyway and left a note. Chrome, Brave, Edge, and others, even the ones that you have never opened. The note says three Chrome extensions are allowed to read every tab on this laptop. You have not even installed these extensions yet, but the permissions are already there waiting. The moment you install one of those three extensions to your laptop, the permissions is life. They can read every tab on your laptop with your full user privileges. Your HubSpot, your bank, your QuickBooks, your Gmail. This is why spyware is the wrong word.
