Koitalel Arap Samoei, a Nandi warrior leader, warned his people about the 'iron snake' prophecy predicting British colonial expansion through railway construction. He led a fierce 11-year resistance against British forces using guerrilla tactics and deep knowledge of the land, becoming one of East Africa's strongest anti-colonial movements. Despite being invited to a peace meeting in 1905, he was betrayed and killed, yet his legacy as a forgotten hero who fought colonial rule long before Kenya's independence remains remembered by many Kenyans today.

The Kenyan Hero History Forgot | Hidden African HistoryAjouté :
Most people know Kenya for safaris, lines, and beautiful landscapes. But hidden in [music] Kenya's past is a story of warriors, prophecy, and resistance that many people have never heard. More than 100 years ago, before British colonial rule controlled Kenya, a powerful leader named [music] Koalar App Samoay warned his people about something strange. He called it the iron snake. Soon the British began building a railway across [music] Kenyon land. The train stretched like a giant metal snake through villages, forests, and sacred land. Koalo believed the railway [music] would bring foreign control and suffering. And he was right. The Nandi warriors fought back. Using surprise attacks and deep knowledge of the land, they resisted one of the world's largest [music] empires. For nearly 11 years, British soldiers struggled to defeat them. The resistance became one [music] of the strongest anti-colonial movements in East African history. But in 1905, Quital [music] was invited to what was supposed to be a peace meeting. Instead, he was betrayed. He was shot and killed during the meeting. Even after his death, his story lived on. Today, many [music] Kenyans remember him as one of the first heroes to fight against colonial rule long before independence.
[music] Kenya's history is more than wildlife and tourism. It is a story of courage, resistance, and forgotten [music] heroes. And sometimes the stories the world forgets are the ones worth [music] remembering
