Severe weather will be possible MondayAdded:
Well, of course, anytime you see two meteorologists, you know something's probably going on.
>> We wanted to combine forces, really get the point across that we have the risk of some severe weather later on today.
It's Monday, June 1st.
>> So, of course, the Storm Prediction Center put out that uh that risk chart.
We have a level two risk including the metro area as well as over towards the eastern plains. Talking about large hail, damaging winds, and possibly the spin- up tornadoes, and especially with the initial starts of storms, could see land spouts as well.
>> So, we'll start to see the clouds build.
They'll move in right around 1:00. We'll start to see a little bit of activity off to the west of town. Now, these will be isolated in nature. Not everywhere we'll see severe storm activity, but we have enough energy instability and moisture here over Colorado, particularly over the eastern plains where we have the risk of severe storms at least through this evening.
>> So, definitely stay weather aware. Of course, download our nine news app. Uh we're going to be here all day, you know, tracking these storms, making sure everyone is safe. So, have ways to get your alert. Alerts will be issued if they're in your neck of the woods and if something major is happening, you'll see it. Just make your way indoors, protect yourself, your property, and we'll get through it. Risk of severe weather will be lower throughout the next couple of days, thankfully.
>> 90s on Friday and Saturday, though.
>> Oh, yeah, man. We're bracing for a heat wave and drier air as well. Much more to come.
