Cargo train hits a public bus in deadly crash at Bangkok rail crossing

[00:00:00]I'm at the site of a deadly train crash in Bangkok, Thailand.

[00:00:03]Behind me is where a cargo train collided with a public bus.

[00:00:08]Right now, the entire area has been cordoned off on all corners while rescue services retrieve the bodies from the bus.

[00:00:47]Um this is a very busy interchange in the center of Bangkok.

[00:00:50]And social media videos were already up at the moment of the crash showing vehicles involved in the train um being dragged along after the impact took the train, as well as motorbikes and riders being thrown off.

[00:01:04]This is very busy transit point in Bangkok. It's where there's an airport rail link that's still operating above me. But behind me and below on ground level, it's entirely at a standstill as rescue workers and the authorities try to deal with destruction.
