[00:00:42]Hope everybody is their weekend is off to a great start. Um as you can see, sun is hitting me on the side of the face. Uh we have sun peeking out, looking like it's going to be a beautiful Saturday.

[00:00:56]Uh rained. Uh everything is soaking wet out here. Uh this morning, it rained. Uh came about midnight or so. Had a pretty good soaking rain.

[00:01:07]Which hopefully was good for the plants this time. Wasn't a lot of wind, so they got a little I didn't have to water them yesterday. God did, so.

[00:01:17]But anyway, uh we are going to get off into it uh and do a Saturday stagger day.

[00:01:31]Um and uh we got a pretty cool one. But uh you also know what we do before we get into all that, we show what's in our pocket, what we're toting.

[00:01:41]And uh we always start with this, our Holy Land pocket cross, representing our faith and love for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

[00:02:12]Uh, probably should uh keep them in their own little thing instead of making it so thick cuz not so minimalist when you uh cram all the goods that I do in there, but uh tis what it tis.

[00:02:27]Uh, in our left pocket today um, we have a small Maglock and it is housing my new current uh, passion or fetish or whatever you want to call it.

[00:02:44]Uh my desire to get more and more of these guys.

[00:02:53]And uh, this is one that uh, I was really stoked to get. This is the 75 Stockman, large Stockman from Case.

[00:03:02]Um and if you can see back there and you can see on that little blade in there, it is in chrome vanadium.

[00:03:47]And this is my Code 4 folder by Cold Steel.

[00:04:05]Uh for you blade blade steel people, we are rocking CPM S35VN stainless steel on the blade.

[00:04:16]Um we have some smooth uh slick. Not going to lie about it.

[00:04:23]These are very slick uh handles. Uh aluminum handles on this one. And uh which the way they pull this off for this not to be a a Vaseline uh Vaseline factory special is these finger grooves. It's very These first two uh deep cutouts here for your first two index your index finger and your second finger uh really allow you to get a good purchase still on this knife with it being slick. So, without that, if this knife didn't have these finger choils, uh this would be slicker than owl's snot. Uh would not be a good choice in my opinion. But, they they thought it out pretty well.

[00:05:10]They They knew they were going to go slick and sleek. So, they they ergo'd it uh ergo'd the grip out uh pretty good.

[00:05:19]So, By the way, for my lefty people out there, this this guy here is a totally great option for lefties. Uh this pocket clip can be flipped. So, that's ambidextrous.

[00:05:37]Totally ambidextrous. And you got left and right thumb studs. So, this is 1,000% uh left hand or right hand uh equal, you know, so just another option for this out there.

[00:08:04]This is actually a knife that I had uh when they first came out.

[00:08:09]What did they run these in?

[00:08:11]Like a green What do they call it? Green moss smooth. Uh green moss green bone or something something. It was a smooth bone. It's either green or brown bone.

[00:08:22]Uh when these came out and I'm a spear point blade, so we'll get to this blade in a minute. Uh so, I was all in.

[00:08:30]But, I don't know. I just didn't over time I didn't bond with that knife like I thought I would.

[00:08:39]I I I I can't I can't really tell you why, but I traded it traded or sold it away. Uh kind of regretted it, you know, kind of always thought, "Yeah, why'd you do that?" But, something about this though, I can it would have to be the bone that I just the smooth bone and the color of it that I was just kind of "Are you really going to carry that you know, how often are you really going to carry this?" So, one of those.

[00:09:06]But, what I know what it needed now this ain't going anywhere.

[00:09:13]Uh Put some stag on it and I am all I've I'm back in love again. It's like my sweetheart, you know, she went away for a while, you know, dated this other guy, but you know, came back to me. So, she's back now.

[00:09:28]Uh better keep my voice down. I got a wife in that window just over there talking about girlfriends and all that. Uh bad analogy. But, uh, you get the picture.

[00:09:50]Uh, I got some cool, beautiful, thick, we haven't even done that. Look at that set of hips.

[00:10:18]Uh, so, especially for this size of knife, that is really pretty doggone thick.

[00:10:27]Um, Now, the blade, obviously, we got a kind of unique, uh, and I wouldn't know, you know, there's Zulu stags, there's or, uh, Zulu uh, spear points, there's, you know, about half a dozen names for different types of spear points. I don't know them all. Uh, I wouldn't call this the Zulu.

[00:10:50]I I've kind of that's the one I kind of halfway know. Uh, this is kind of its own.

[00:10:57]It's driving its own lane. Uh, handsome.

[00:11:02]Whatever kind of spear point it is, guess Jimmy crack corn, it really don't make matter anyway, so. But, uh, I think it's a beautiful blade.

[00:11:12]The swedge right here that they start just before that long, uh, nail pull, uh, really beautiful. It's about what, a third, maybe even a better than a third, maybe 40 40% of the the blade has this nice sweeping swedge.

[00:11:30]Um, just just beautiful. Long nail pull, didn't didn't stay there and talk about that. So, it is very Honestly, uh let's see if I can pinch it. I think I can. Yeah.

[00:11:46]If you had any win I got weak weak hands that was tough for me. So, it ain't super pinchable. If you got strong hands, obviously I just pulled it off and I don't. So, if you got if you don't have hand or finger problems, you could probably pinch this open. But, for the rest of us, nice long nail pull that you can get anywhere. You see that? I got my nail in there right now. So, I got all that travel. Just boom.

[00:12:54]But, on the HT pull scale, I'm going to say five five and a half.

[00:13:08]So, uh personal, you know, you've heard me say five to seven, you know, uh five to seven is kind of perfect. I like a little stronger pull. Uh this is not bad.

[00:13:24]Uh it's not weak. So, a lot of you are probably going to like this.

[00:13:30]Yeah, 5 5 and 1/2 and lockup's great.

[00:13:38]Yeah, I'm going to I'm going to stand on that. I'm going to say 5 and 1/2.

[00:13:43]About a 5 and 1/2 pull. So, whatever that means to you. Uh is that good, bad, soft, heavy? I don't think many of you would think 5 or 5 and 1/2 is heavy, but uh it it's where it needs to be. It's It's okay. It works on this knife. So, again, they did a beautiful job on picking out these covers. A lot of character.

[00:14:12]Uh beautiful beautiful uh beautiful pocket knife. So, this is one uh I don't think I talked about the bolsters. You guys probably know the components, but these are nickel uh excuse me, these are steel steel bolsters and steel liners. And uh is this brass?

[00:14:34]I think everything the sun's messing with me right now on the pins, but I'm pretty sure these are are steel uh everything on there. You got a single thread upper threaded bolster.

[00:14:45]Nice. Gives it a little, you know, refinement. Uh barehead. No no bolster on the bottom, obviously.

[00:14:54]Uh and this is I'm going to be controversial probably about Andy, close your ears. Don't listen to this video.

[00:15:01]Probably isn't anyway. Uh D2 steel. I didn't say that when I gave you the model number. These are the This is one of the older ones uh in D2 steel. And I personally wish they had a state there.

[00:15:21]If they wanted to change steels away from D2, uh they've went to 14C28, by the way. Where do they Where you going with this? This is an old school D2, which they were forever. If you got a traditional knife from RoseCraft, they have hints in the last m- probably 2 months now, uh went to a stainless steel 14C28, which I have no problem with. Uh sharpens good, get takes a real keen edge, stainless.

[00:15:53]But, if they were This is me again. This is me getting on my soapbox. If you were going to change and go away from D2 for whatever reason, I think D2 is a better steel metallurgy-wise than 14C28.

[00:16:09]Done right Properly done, D2 is superior, in my opinion, to 14C28.

[00:16:17]Not that I don't like it. Not that I don't have knives in that steel. But, to me, they've went down a little bit uh in steel grade.

[00:16:27]Personal preference.

[00:16:29]Uh I'm just my thoughts.

[00:16:31]And if they wanted to do that, if you want to move away from D2, give us carbon steel.

[00:16:38]And they have before, because they've got some fixed blades in 1095. So, it's not you know, they've done it before. You know, they've been able to get You can't tell me you can't get 1095 carbon steel, because you've done it on your fixed blades.

[00:16:53]But, me being the traditionalist I am with my with my traditional knives, uh give us give us 1095. Give us teeners.

[00:17:04]So, maybe 2 year Watch this video, Andy, and I I I changed my mind. Watch this, and uh maybe uh maybe in a few years uh they'll they'll change, and they'll give us some carbon steel, but that's just my opinion.

[00:17:22]Uh this thing, stag pocket knife, spear point blade, if this was 1095 and it would tiner, come on.

[00:17:34]It would be magnifique.

[00:17:36]But it's pretty darn good now, so that's just me nitpicking.

[00:17:40]Uh HT can always figure it out better, right?

[00:17:44]Uh yeah, that's why nobody's That's why I'm not doing it right and they are. But anyway, that's what I got for you today.
