Do you remember watching a cute rabbit movie and then realizing it was basically a war film? Watership Down looked innocent from the outside.
Rabbits, fields, beautiful scenery, safe, right? Not really. The film has blood, panic, death, suffocation, animals getting crushed, and nightmares that still feel rough even as an adult.
I guess it wanted to teach us that life is cruel, but did we really need a 90-minute rabbit apocalypse to learn that?
