Why Extension Matters After ACL Surgery

[00:00:00]It's critical and it I know I know it seems like a simple concept and [music] but it is critical and some people are in the world of you just need zero degrees. You just need a straight knee and that is so not true.

[00:00:10]You need symmetry but you need symmetry eventually comparing it to the other knee and but you need [music] symmetry.

[00:00:22]They're never going to feel right. The quads are not going to come back to normal. It's just not going to be a good situation for them. But I'm monitoring every session I I assess my students over this. When a person comes in they get on the they get on the table and I measure their extension. I measure their extension with [music] a goniometer because I want to know exactly what they're coming in at because I haven't seen them in a few visits. So I'm obsessive with it throughout the whole process. I want to know because if something goes wrong I want to know why.
