The film 'Everything Everywhere All At Once' explores the concept of the multiverse, where infinite parallel universes exist simultaneously, each with its own version of characters and events. The protagonist, Evelyn, must navigate through these universes to save her daughter from a cosmic threat, demonstrating that every choice and action creates a new reality. The movie emphasizes that despite the overwhelming nature of infinite possibilities, the key to success lies in embracing kindness, love, and acceptance of imperfection. The film's unique premise of 'verse jumping' allows characters to access different versions of themselves across multiple realities, ultimately teaching that nothing matters more than human connection and compassion.

>> But she was the one that was always like mean to Glenda.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> Yeah, that's her. She's in this. This movie got tons of awards. It won like Oscars and everything.
>> Wow.
>> So, it is like highly acclaimed.
>> Okay.
>> So, I'm expecting big things. I feel like I I've heard a few things about it, but I've never sat down and watched the full movie. So, here we are. All right, let's go.
So, this movie is about a woman and her children, or is there a dad in it, too?
>> I don't know. We going to have to watch to see and find out.
>> Excuse me. [laughter] Well, that's a bad sign. A mirror.
>> Oh, what's what do mirrors um symbolize?
>> Yeah, mirrors sometimes I mean a mirror is a mirror because >> I like how we went through the mirror.
>> Yeah, sometime mirrors aren't good.
>> She look like she got a lot of receipts.
Dang.
>> She look like she got a lot of bills.
>> That's what I'm saying.
>> That's me.
Oh, there's the dad. Mhm. Well, we don't know if he's a dad or not. I don't know what's going on.
>> Which did you use?
>> Evelyn. Her name's Evelyn. Okay.
See you later.
Go set the table. He must be hungry.
>> We talk later.
>> Oh, is it divorce papers?
>> Yeah, seeking a divorce. Dang, that's crazy.
>> He's telling you now in case my mom says something dumb like you're fat or whatever. I >> thought you said when she says [ __ ] like that mean she cares.
I only cooked enough food for three people. Now I have to cook more.
>> Hi Becky. Thank you for coming. Please call me Wayman.
>> Wayman.
>> I always learn something when I hang out with the elderly. Old people are very wise.
[screaming] >> What? [cough] >> Oh customers.
Mom, just wait. Wait. Wait. No time to wait.
They need to declutter any other >> girl. You think they did upstairs from that laundromat?
>> Yeah, I think that's their business.

>> Mhm. They they struggling apparently from what I can see.
>> All them bills.
>> No shoes in washer. Broken. You pay.
[laughter] >> Why would he put his shoes in there?
>> Some people do that, but it's better to air dry him anyway.
Damn, she said big nose. That's crazy.
>> I'm here to pick up some shirts. I called like three times.
>> Okay, give me your ticket. High five for you.
>> No, I have the ticket. She's just asking for it cuz that's like the way that it works.
>> Oh, look at doggy.
>> It was too crowded here, so I moved some upstairs. I think the clothes are happier there.
>> Please talk about Becky. Come tonight or not.
>> Stop changing the subject. She is a terrible person. Girl, what?
>> She keeps targeting the Chinese in the community.
>> She is not listening to her daughter at all.
>> She puts lean on our laundry. And you know what your father does?
>> What's going on back there?
>> Fight. I fight. I fight.

You know the witness in the community theater who wants to be an actor just like you did. Hey maybe you're 16.
>> Not them dancing behind her. Exactly like the movie. That's funny with the coro behind her.
What?
>> Oh, that's [clears throat] her father.
>> He said, "Where's my breakfast?"
>> He said, "Get my food." Dang. Ain't no hi. Hello. How are you?

>> It was nice to meet you.
>> You have to try and eat healthier.
>> Oh gosh.
>> You are getting fat.
>> Wow. Okay.
>> She got too much on her plate.
>> I agree. I was just thinking that she got to take care of her father, take care of the laundry mat, and then she's not doing well with her daughter and then she's getting a divorce with her husband. Girl, that's too much.
>> She doesn't even know she getting a divorce, I don't think.

Maybe in grave danger. There's no time to explain.
>> Why are you doing this?
>> Pay attention, >> girl. What?
>> We leave this elevator. You can either turn left towards your schedule audit appointment or you can turn right and go into the janitor's closet.
>> Same thing here.
>> What you done with all this?

>> He said, "I'm sorry. It's a girl." Damn.
>> This is her memories, her past life.

Dang.
And then she was pregnant. She got pregnant.
She looked different in this movie than she did the other one.
>> I think this came out before Wicked.
>> Yeah.
>> The moment you're situated in your meeting, follow these instructions or remember. Even talk to me about this because I won't remember >> what.
That was crazy. I kind of like how they did that though.
So, somebody is it from a different timeline trying to contact her? Look at her. [laughter] She's like, "What the hell just happened?" He said that she was in danger from what?
>> Mhm.
>> Oh, yeah. He said that she could turn left or right. She turned left.
>> This is Wang.
>> Mrs. Wang, are you with us?
I was just hoping you could enlighten me as to how as a laundromat owner, a karaoke machine could constitute a business expense.
>> Dang.
>> I will need a separate schedule C for each of these businesses because based on what you're trying to deduct, you're also a novelist.
>> She's getting audited.
>> Mhm.
>> That [clears throat] sucks.
>> Mhm. Like for back pain, you go get water massage.

>> See? Yeah. Another universe.
>> You can't then deduct it if it's an off.
>> Good. Good.
I'm not your husband. I'm another version of him from another life path, another universe. I'm here because we need your help.
There's a great evil that has taken over in my world. I've spent years searching for all those years of searching have brought me here to this universe to you.
I know it's a lot to take in right now.
>> Even if we don't charge you with fraud, we'll most certainly have to find you for >> damn >> gross negligence. That's crazy.
>> Evelyn, >> are you paying attention? I cannot talk now. Unless you can help me with my tax.
>> I'm here to tell you every rejection, every disappointment [music] has led you here to this moment. Don't let anything distract you from it.
>> Do you think this is funny?
>> Oh my gosh.
>> Oh, he said, "Answer that woman."
Oh, this shot is dope. Like, ooh, >> our split. They're going to kill us.

>> Mm- >> Can we get back?
>> This is the Alpha Versus mission to take us back to how it's supposed to be. But that begins with finding the one who can stand up to Yobu's perverse shot of chaos.
>> That's you.

>> I know you're in there. Oh, get out of my door.
>> Mom, are you already drunk?
>> That's me.
>> She'd be like, "Rebuke you." I'll be [laughter] like, "What the?"
>> Go help my dad with the party.
>> Go.
Thanks, babe.
>> G is acting weird.
>> It's cuz she's the other person.
>> Everything is just a random rearrangement of particles in a >> That's crazy. That's so cool.
I have no idea what you are talking about, but I can only [cough and clears throat] wait.
>> You're everywhere.
>> Everywhere. Everything. All at once.
>> I'm the one who's going to defeat you.
>> Okay.
>> Punch my face.
>> Mhm.
I will take >> I thought he died.
>> Why was I looking for you?
>> Sit down. Grab a snack. Make yourself comfortable.
>> Oh, hey. You okay?
>> Sit down. Have a cookie.
>> Sit on the crack.
>> Oh, >> see, she shouldn't sit on the crack.
Well, she's trying to show her what's up.
Every version of joy is Job Tupaci. I have felt everything your daughter has felt.
>> That's a cool hairstyle.
>> And the pain of having you as my mother.
>> Dang, that's crazy.
>> Write as a tiny box invented by people who are afraid.
>> No, it's not like that. It's cool. He's a different generation.
>> You don't have to hide behind, >> right?
The bagel will show you the true nature of things.
>> I wasn't looking for you so I could kill you. I was just looking for someone who could see what I >> mean to not even show up. [laughter] >> Shut up.
>> Oh, she said shut up.
>> Do you understand?
>> The IRS lady said we don't play.
pretending we know what we're doing, but really we're just going around >> laundry attach.
>> We were like, "Yeah, >> right.
>> Oh my god, she's getting a divorce.
>> You have left me no option but to authorize the seizure of your personal and your business assets."
>> Oh, calm down. [music] She stabbing.
>> Not a single moment will go by without every other [music] universe screaming for your attention.
I guess that symbolizes her like feeling nothing cuz she's a rock.
Just be a rock.
>> I can't believe they're actually talking as rocks, >> right? They talking as They're all small and stupid language. [clears throat] Seriously.
Oh. [laughter] A >> you know why I actually built the bagel?
It was to destroy myself.
>> It's the donut.
>> Oh wow. She said to destroy herself.
>> At least this way I don't have to do it alone.
>> Wow.
>> Excuse me, Mr. Wayne.
>> My silly husband probably making things worse.
>> Okay, you can let her go. Oh, >> I just talked to her.
Can we Can we just stop fighting?
>> I know you're all fighting because you're scared and confused. I'm confused, too.
>> I don't know what the heck is going on.
>> For real.
>> Somehow it feels like it's all my fault. Oh.
>> [music] >> The only thing I do know is that we have to be kind.
>> Be kind. Especially when we don't know what's going on.
Hey, Evelyn.
>> Oh, >> I feel like she don't need to go in the bagel.
>> No.
>> No.
Uh-oh.
>> You can still turn around and avoid all >> the bagel is a trap.
>> Be kind.
>> It's too late to >> Uhoh.
>> [laughter] >> Did you see that?
>> Oh, [music] wow.
A girl, you better get your man.
No.
[snorts] [music] >> Dang. He been HOLDING THAT IN. OH, that hit me. What hit you, girl? Oh my god, >> girl. You okay? You know when you like need a hug? Like you just need a hug?
Like >> he's been holding that in >> and she finally saw him.
>> Yeah, that's a >> dang it. Now she doing stuff. I was just about to cry.
[laughter] >> Oh [ __ ] >> She's still trying to get her to go in the basement.
>> I know.
[laughter] >> I get it.
[snorts] Don't go in the bagel. Sorry.
>> Eventually that all just goes away.
Um, no more.
>> What did my silly husband say to you? I remembered when my husband drove his Kia Forte through my neighbor's kitchen.
>> It's called a lovable [ __ ] like us world goround.
>> That's not true.
[laughter] >> There is always something to love. Even in a stupid stupid universe where we have hot dogs or fingers, [laughter] we get very good WITH OUR FEET.
>> [music] [laughter] [screaming] >> DID HE JUST SHE JUST GRABBED HER NIPPLE?
>> NO, she hugged her.
>> No, she grabbed her [laughter] nipple. I said, "Don't let her stop.
Open fire.
Oh no. Oh yeah. Mm- Yeah. Oh.
Oh.
>> [gasps] >> What are you doing?
>> I'm learning to fight you.
>> Oh.
Oh.
Uh-uh. Yep.
>> My wife used to wear that exact same perfume.
>> The perfume. She's fighting back with kindness.
>> Mhm.
>> Mhm. And love.
She's fixing everybody.
Huh? He walking.
>> Grandpa done stood up.
[laughter] >> You took everything away from me.
Raccoon taught me so much.
I >> Yep.
I'm so alone.
>> It's a good thing you're not alone.
[music] >> Oh my god.
Come on. Come on. Come on. I'm sorry.
Let her go.
Okay. Mhm. Come on.
Mhm.
Yeah.
Wow, that third eye thing. That's is witchcraft.
Girl, this is a good moment.
It >> is a good moment. It's a moment of good.
>> That's a generational, you know.
>> Yeah.
>> Aimless, a mess, just like a me. M.
>> But now I see it's okay that she's a mess.
>> It's okay that you're a mess.
>> It's just like me >> because that's just like you, right?
She's going to do it.
[music] >> Why is she mad? It's a lot.
She's probably just overwhelmed and like done with the whole thing.
No, she's trying to jump off. No, girl.
Her mom's going to save her.
Pull her back. Mhm. Get your rock back over here.
>> Oh.
Oh.
Oh, >> she's angry.
>> Yeah.
Ah, >> maybe you went in this universe but in another >> or we die.
>> Oh. Oh.
>> Or we just hang around.
>> Okay, Joy, listen.
>> Oh, big goal is when we finally find peace of mind. Stop calling me Em.
>> Your mom.
>> She's casting out the devil.
>> [screaming] >> I'm tired. I don't want to hurt anymore.
And for some reason, when I'm with you, it just it just hurts the both of us.
So, let's just go our separate ways, okay? Just let me go.
>> You want me to let you go?
>> Shut the freak up. I'm not letting go.
[snorts] [laughter] Mom, stop trying to dress me on camera.
Girl, put my whole shirt.
>> No. Get out of that bagel.
>> Wait. And you never call me even though we have a family plan >> and it's free.
Maybe it's like you said that will make us feel like even small pieces of [ __ ] Something that explains why you still went looking for me through all of this.
>> I still want to be here with you. I will always Your daughter is more than just this. Here all we get are a few specks of time where any of this actually makes any sense.
Then I will cherish these few specks of time.
I'm 14.
>> Dang, she vaping.
[laughter] >> I'm sorry.
>> Oh, what are you doing?
>> Grab my hair.
What did he say?
[music] >> Yo, [laughter] >> are you crying? You look LIKE YOU'RE CRYING.
>> [screaming] >> SO AWKWARD.
I can't breathe, [screaming] Mom. Oh my god.
We can do more. [laughter] Jeez.
Mom, that was beautiful.
>> Toilet flushing.
>> All at once.
Part three.
>> Thank you for the ride, Becky.
>> You got this. Okay, >> Becky, you need to grow your hair.
[laughter] Oh.
Call you later.
>> I feel like you say that to me about my hair.
>> You be like, "Girl your hair."
>> Yeah. [laughter] Grow your hair back, girl.
>> He looking like [laughter] he liked that. Apparently, she did, too.
>> Mhm. Well, that's her husband. So, >> this is a an improvement, and I'm I'm glad [music] that you listened. But we have a problem.
>> Did you hear me?
>> Sorry. What did you say?
>> Wow.
Everything everywhere all at once. That was very kind of inspiring.
>> It It was a lot of stuff in in the movie like her her with her daughter.
>> Yeah.
>> That got me.
>> I felt like they um I felt like they had a moment where they, you know, finally understood each other.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I feel like they needed to uh I don't know. They needed to get it out. I mean, you know, but I I I also feel like, you know, those are normal uh things because parents don't always understand their teenage you, especially once they become adults.
>> It's different when they're little cuz it's like, you know, you're their protector and you're guiding them and you're doing everything for them and you know, and they have to um uh be obedient and follow you. But as your children become adults, it's different cuz they start to form their own life and they start to um start forming their own personality and then the parent is like, "Okay, you know, don't always understand."
>> Mhm.
>> So, you know, I felt like there was good good moments there with them because um there was like a a breakdown in communication and I think the mom was just overwhelmed.
>> Mhm. So, she wasn't really seeing the daughter, wasn't hearing what the daughter was saying. And the husband was like trying to just be like the happy medium kind of, I guess you could say.
He he was kind of like, you know, okay.
Um, you know, it's fine. We'll work it out. Everything will be okay. You know, like she said, >> I'mma do it your way with kindness.
That's kind of her way of seeing who he was and stuff. But, um, I mean, yeah, the concept of the movie is good. That was a good >> good uh plot. the concept. I um to be honest, it was a little hard for me to follow at sometimes.
>> Yeah, I can understand that >> because Yeah, it was a lot of it was a lot happening and I was like, wait a minute, I don't get that.
>> I don't feel like we watch movies like that often. I feel like this is a very one-ofa-kind type of movie, >> but the the like I said, the plot or the the um what you call it um the overall concept of the movie was good.
>> Yeah, I Yeah. I mean, she had to go through a whole bunch of garbage. She had to fight her way through.
>> She had to do what she had to do to save her daughter. She had to go through her own >> journey >> to then >> to save her daughter and to save her marriage.
>> Yeah.
>> Because her husband didn't really want to divorce cuz he was like, "Yeah, um, somebody did this. He served divorce papers and then once he served divorce papers, we were able to talk about it and then they worked it out."
>> So that was his whole plan. Mhm.
>> He was like, "I'm going to give her divorce papers so that maybe we could talk about it." And then, you know, >> she didn't want to talk about it.
>> She didn't want to talk about it.
>> She didn't want to talk about anything.
>> No, she didn't want to. Cuz sometimes I mean I I felt the daughter, but I also felt the mom. I mean, you have It's so They both had a lot of heavy stuff. The daughter had heaviness and the mom had heaviness, too. I feel like for me I could I feel like for me I could um understand a daughter because I feel like the everything babe go was like depression >> like she was like let me go let me go down this like her falling off the cliff I feel like was like a metaphor uh something about suicide and I think >> yeah but what mom is going to just be like okay go ahead and kill yourself to their daughter >> I I just don't I think it was she was tired like She said her daughter was tired. She was tired cuz she felt like her mom was never going to understand her, never going to see her for who she was. She had been trying to get her to see her for a long time. And I guess she just got fed up. So she wanted her to let her go. Just girl, depression makes you I am someone who has it and it's really hard to explain. People who don't have it don't get it.
>> We'll just figure this thing out.
But I'm not going to let you go over the cliff.
>> Well, that's what she did.
>> Yeah, she did. But that was a metaphor cuz she actually brought she actually um came back >> and brought her back. So that's what I'm saying.
>> I think we I think a lot of times me and you, >> we say the same thing.
>> Yeah, we say the same thing and then we argue about it.
>> I don't know why. [laughter] >> We say the exact same things and then we argue about it. Yeah, doesn't even make any sense.
>> Yeah, this was really done really well.
I understand why it won so many awards.
I think the acting was really great. The whole cast did such a great job with such a a unique script.
>> Um Michelle, she did her big one on that one. I ain't going to lie, she ate that.
That was that was that was really good.
She had a she had to do a lot of range in this. Like, you know, >> the special effects had me going.
>> I know. the special effects, like the editing and the the effects in this movie were phenomenal.
>> I'm like, what's really happening?
>> It definitely tricks you out and it like it's it's crazy.
>> Like everything everywhere all at once.
And finally, they took off the rosecoled glasses and they were able to see each other.
and they were able to I mean they probably still had their issues but now it's different you know.
>> Right. Right. Right. Right.
>> Now >> I think I think in any mother daughter relationship there's going to be up ups and downs.
>> Oh yeah.
>> But at the end of the day we choose to love each other.
>> Yeah. It's going to be ups and downs until until I'm like 90 something and you're like mom I told you you can't eat that. Or you going to be like mom go sit down.
By the time I'm 90, well, I'm never going to have dementia. I'm just not going to have that.
>> But by the time I'm 90 years old and can't take care of myself and >> I'm taking care of you now.
>> Yeah. You going to need help. Well, you taking care of me in one way, but you're not taking care of me in that way.
>> Okay. Okay.
>> Like she was taking care of her dad.
That's what I mean. That type of taking care of.
>> Yeah. You're here for me. We're here for each other right now because, you know, we do certain things for each other. We we pick up the slack for each other where one is lacking, you know, but we have our our differences, too. Sometimes emotionally we don't understand each other.
Sometimes I feel like you don't understand my struggle and you feel like I don't understand your struggle.
>> I think it's hard to fully understand because I'm not a mother, >> right? and you're, you know, and I'm not and you can't see my point of view because you're not seeing how I feels, you know, because you're not in my shoes, >> you know, and also you experienced being a daughter in a different way than I did.
>> Yeah, I experienced a daughter shoot. I experienced trauma some >> your childhood is not my childhood. You don't understand how where I'm coming from, but I don't understand where you're coming from either.
>> No, I would never treat you as the glasses. I would never treat you as a child the way I was treated as a child.
Never. I would never do that to you.
>> I don't think I think you raised me um this is getting into too into some TMI, but I think you raised me really well. I do think sometimes you're hard on me and I think sometimes you you are a little harsh with what you say. But I >> that's probably true cuz I'm the type of person where >> sometimes I hold back or you know I'm the type of person that don't uh you know that says whatever I say whatever I feel. But there are sometimes when I try to think before I say things but usually >> you've gotten better at it. I will say you have gotten better at it. When I was younger I'd be like dang mom she'd be like saying like what Michelle said like you fat. I'll be like, "Oh, >> okay. That's not what I need you to hear right now." But shoes, >> when I say that, you say, I'm saying it in not in a mean way. I'm saying it cuz hell, I'm fat, too. I'm like, we don't I always say this, we need to go on a diet. We need to do this or we need to do that. I always say that we need to figure out our weight. I say that all the time. We need to get healthier. I say we, not just you.
And you say this, [laughter] what are you doing?
Hey, you what are you doing? I don't know what you're laughing at, but whatever. [screaming] [laughter] It's slick sh.
>> If you had some hair, I'd pull yours.
[screaming] [laughter] But since you ain't got no hair, since you shaved your head, BALL, [screaming] >> BALDHEAD, NANNY, GOAT, this is what I mean. She be dang, she had to go for me like that.
>> I have to be pulling my head acting like and then I couldn't see what you [screaming] was doing. All right. Sorry.
Anyway, that was a crazy movie. I'm glad I watched it with my mom. I started crying a little bit there, but >> started tearing up.
>> Phenomenal movie. 10 out of 10. Deserved all the awards it got. And uh, incredible acting, one of a kind film.
And uh, yeah, leave a thought comments down below. If you liked it, please leave a like, comment, subscribe.
>> Yeah, I hope they watch it. I mean, we spent our time watching it, so I hope they they watch the reaction to it show.
Come on, y'all.
>> They [clears throat] not obligated to watch it.
>> No, they not obligated, but be kind.
[laughter] >> Anyway, appreciate y'all. Love you. Bye.
>> Peace out. [music] [music] >> [music]
