And if they are here illegally without that documentation, then the feds can get involved and then they can take it from there. I think this is a fantastic law. [music] It is time to start enforcing the laws that are on the books instead of the state and local officials legislating from their own little tiny offices. [music] >> It's an awful law because it's nothing more than a legal way for law enforcement to racially profile Mexicans and Hispanics. This law was [music] written into existence by Governor Abbott to specifically go after a said group of demographics [music] here in the state of Texas. Secondly, it is awful that we want to call them illegal immigrants [music] to the point to where if a cop does not do his job according to this law, he can be charged and arrested, [music] and the cities can be given a $25,000 fine per day. Well, we'll put a cop in jail for not asking somebody's immigrant status, but we won't put cops in jail for shooting and killing unarmed black people.

Native Americans, indigenous people, and various tribes. We colonized this land, so who are we to say that people can't come in? Forget the fact that immigrants are incredibly valuable and provide so much life in society. I'm just sick of [ __ ] entitlement when it comes to this, and stop calling people illegals. To some people, that may seem distasteful, and that may seem horrendous, but at the end of the day, it is the rule of war.

But, something you have to take into consideration is this, every single one of you that always yells on the rooftops, "We're on stolen land, and no one's illegal here." Always refuse to give up your land. Always refuse to hand over everything you own to the individuals that you are claiming are the true victims here. Yet, simultaneously refuse to leave, refuse to pack up your bags and head back to wherever it is that you think you're from. You deny this whole idea of stolen land by continuing to own, continuing to live, continuing to exist within the parameters of said stolen land.

[00:09:27]Countries like Japan, South Korea, Israel in the Middle East are all allowed to have a strong sense of national identity and prioritize their own people in terms of immigration and social services.

[00:09:36]But, if a white European country were to do the same, it would be met with accusations of racism. Now, you may be wondering, have we ever had countries that were dominantly homogeneous? The answer to that is absolutely. For most of history, so thousands of years, European countries were almost entirely one race, just like every other country.

[00:09:53]It's only within the last couple years with mass immigration that this is all starting to change.

[00:09:58]And why should white people become minorities willingly in the countries that their ancestors built?

[00:10:03]The answer to that is they shouldn't.

[00:10:06]And why is this only done to us? Well, it's a double standard, plain and simple, and I'm tired of us all pretending like it's not.

[00:10:53]Now, the Trump administration is questioning Native American birthright citizenship in court. What does that mean?

[00:11:01]Quoting the 14th Amendment, "All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof are citizens of the United States or of the state they reside in."

[00:11:15]The key sentence, "subject to jurisdiction thereof," where they are citing the Civil Rights Act of 1866.

[00:11:22]"All persons born in the United States and not subject to any foreign power, excluding Indians not taxed, are hereby declared to be citizens of the United States.

[00:11:35]Using Elk versus Wilkins, because members of Indian tribes owe immediate allegiance to their tribes, they are not subject to the jurisdiction of the United States and are not constitutionally entitled to citizenship. So, according to my understanding, and correct me if I'm wrong, that would mean that if we were to denounce our tribal affiliation, then we would be considered US citizens by the government.

[00:12:08]And what happens if we theoretically denounce all of our tribal affiliation?

[00:12:14]There would be no tribes to be recognized.

[00:12:16]Therefore, treaties would be void, and he could get his hands on tribal protected lands.

[00:12:31]>> Breaking news. The Trump administration questions Native Americans birthright citizenship in court.

[00:12:38]The Trump administration argued in court to limit birthright citizenship for certain groups of people here in the United States.

[00:12:44]Part of their argument involved questioning whether Native Americans, who are citizens of their own tribal nations, qualified for US citizenship under the 14th Amendment.

[00:12:54]The 14th Amendment, which was ratified in 1868, states that all persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are United States citizens.

[00:13:07]This basically means that anyone born on US soil automatically is a United States citizen. However, the Trump administration is focused on one phrase of the 14th Amendment, subject to the jurisdiction thereof.

[00:13:21]And they argue that not everyone born in the United States qualifies as subject to the jurisdiction of the United States.

[00:13:30]The Justice Department cited the Civil Rights Act of 1866, which was ratified two years prior to the 14th Amendment, and is one of the earliest laws that define citizenship.

[00:13:42]What's interesting about this is that it excludes two groups of people from citizenship.

[00:13:49]The first is subject to a foreign power and Indians not taxed.

[00:13:57]Historically, the United States government treated all Native Americans as belonging to separate nations and not to the United States.

[00:14:06]And that all changed in 1924 with the passage of the Indian Citizenship Act, which granted all Native Americans in the United States citizenship.

[00:14:16]The Trump administration is arguing that the 14th Amendment should still exclude Native Americans because we are still subjects to a foreign power, which is our tribal nations, and they are citing a Supreme Court case that was decided in 1884 that stated that Native Americans are not US citizens unless they denounce their allegiance to their tribes. This is very controversial because the United States government and tribal nations have a long-standing agreement stating that Native Americans can have dual citizenship with the United States government and with our tribes.

[00:14:52]And the arguments that the Trump administration is trying to make will undermine all of this and throw away hundreds of years of treaties and negotiations that allow us to have our tribal sovereignty today.

[00:15:04]In addition to that, the 1884 Supreme Court case that decided that Native Americans are not US citizens unless they renounce their tribal allegiance was basically deemed useless after the passage of the Indian Citizenship Act of 18, sorry.

[00:15:20]>> Every black dollar went into white hands immediately. But Mound Bayou changed that. The cornerstone of this strategy was the Bank of Mound Bayou, founded in 1904 by Charles Banks. They called him the wizard of finance. He understood that freedom wasn't real unless you could fund it. When he opened the bank, it wasn't just a place to store cash.

[00:15:43]Farmers from all over the Delta, even outside of the town, started to bring their money to Charles Banks because when he walked into the lobby, they were treated like human beings. They could get a loan to buy seed or equipment without signing away their dignity. And that money stayed within the town. The bank lent that money to the grocer, the grocer hired a carpenter, the carpenter paid the doctor, the dollar circulated five, six, seven times before it left the community.

[00:16:13]But the greatest test of this infrastructure wasn't just banking.

[00:16:16][music] It was survival. During the 1940s, if you were black and you got sick [music] in the Mississippi Delta, you were in trouble. White hospitals would not take you or you were thrown in the basement ward with no heat and no nurses. You could [music] die from a simple infection because you were on the wrong side of the color line. So, Mound Bayou decided [music] to build a health care system. They didn't ask the government for a grant. They went to fraternal orders. We often forget groups like the Knights and Daughters of Tabor.

[00:16:43]These were secret societies and benevolent orders where the members paid small monthly dues, mostly nickels and dimes. It was the original crowdfunding.

[00:16:53]They pooled together these nickels and dimes into a massive war chest and built the Taborian [music] Hospital in 1942.

[00:17:00]This place was state-of-the-art for the time. It had x-ray machines, incubators for premature babies, sterile [music] operating theaters that rivaled anything in Memphis or Chicago. They hired black surgeons and paid them top dollar, and they had black nurses in crisp white uniforms. For a sharecropper who spent his whole life being called boy, [music] walking into a black hospital had to be a life-changing experience.

[00:17:27]The man running this hospital was Dr. T.

[00:17:31]R. M. Howard. He knew that you couldn't just have a healthy body in a sick society. You had to fix the politics, too. So, he turned Mound Bayou into a headquarters for the Civil Rights Movement in the Delta. He launched Regional Council of Negro Leadership.

[00:17:46]Every year they would hold massive rallies in a field just outside of town.

[00:17:51]Sometimes up to 10,000 people would attend. Dr. Howard would get on stage and give them practical instructions how to use their economic power. And this is where slogans like don't buy gas where you can't use the restroom would come from. This was years before the Montgomery bus boycott, and he was teaching people that their wallet was a weapon. And if a gas station wouldn't let you use the restroom, you keep your money in your pocket and keep driving.

[00:18:18]See, when you start messing with the money, the system begins to fight back.

[00:18:22]In 1954, the Supreme Court ruled on Brown vs. Board of Education, and the white power structure in Mississippi panicked. They formed the White Citizens' Council. These were bankers, politicians, and [music] merchants. They were called the middle-class Ku Klux Klan. And they decided to use financial warfare >> [music] >> to attempt to crush the movement. They initiated something called a credit freeze. They made a list of every activist.

[00:18:46]>> This can't be real life. What the hell did I just watch?

[00:18:54]>> And I've also announced a permanent pause on third world migration, including from hell holes like Afghanistan, Haiti, Somalia, and many other countries.

[00:19:04]>> Listen.

[00:19:06][ __ ] you guys. But listen.

[00:19:08]>> Why can't we have some people from Norway, Sweden? Just a few. Let us have a few from from Denmark. You mind sending us a few people? Send us some nice people. Do you mind?

What he just said is we don't want black people or brown people here anymore. He literally said he wants people from Norway, Sweden, and Denmark, all white as hell. He reduced black and brown human beings to trash. And you're telling me that's not racism? Use your eyes and ears. This is them deciding whose skin color is worthy, who's clean enough, who's good enough, who belongs, and who should we keep out. They're not [ __ ] hiding it, but what pisses me off more is all the [ __ ] people clapping. Do you guys have that much hate in your hearts? This is the same old racist playbook that America has been using.

[00:20:58]>> Those were the numbers. So, here's what they were. The biggest city in the United States then and now is New York City. New York City in 1950 was 90% white.

[00:21:07]71 million New Yorkers out of 7.9 million were white. Chicago in 1950 was 86% white. Philadelphia, over 80%. Los Angeles, 94% white. 94% white, that's almost an ethno-state actually at that point.

[00:21:20]Detroit, Detroit, Michigan.

[00:21:22]Home of Ford, GM, and Chrysler, 84% white. Baltimore steel and shipping capital of the Mid-Atlantic 76% white.

[00:21:32]That was 1950. You know people who were alive in 1950, maybe you were. Here are the numbers today.

[00:21:37]Baltimore 27% white. Detroit about 10% white, down from 84. Los Angeles, again 94% about 37% white now.

[00:21:46]Philadelphia, 36%. Chicago, less than 30%.

[00:21:50]And New York City again, the biggest city in the country, is now around 30% white, down from 90% in 1950.

[00:21:58]>> Well, since we're talking about numbers, Tucker, here's some numbers for you.

[00:22:01]Before Columbus arrived in 1492 America was 100% Native American Indian.

[00:22:09]Today they're less than 3%.

[00:22:13]Hm.

[00:22:15]>> made a major mistake. He stepped off the train in the Mississippi Delta and started causing a scene, a ruckus, shoving, acting like [music] he owned the place. In any other town in the South, if a black man touched him, it was a death sentence. The rules were very simple. A white man could do no wrong and a black man had no power.

[00:22:38]But, this wasn't any other town. It was Mound Bayou. [music] The marshal stepped out in front of the crowd and he was a black man wearing a press uniform and a badge on his chest that gave him the full power of the state. He didn't look down. He didn't ask for permission. He walked right over to the man and put his hand on the shoulder and told him that he was under arrest. Imagine the confusion on his face.

[00:23:03]He was looking around for a white officer to save him. He was looking for a white judge to dismiss his charges, >> [music] >> but he realized a terrifying truth.

[00:23:14]None of that was coming.

[00:23:16]The mayor was black, the judge was black, and the cops were black. For the first time in his life, the color of his skin was not a get out of jail free card. And this is the story of Mound Bayou.

[00:23:47]This wasn't a fantasy. It wasn't a movie. This was a real place, a black fortress in the middle of one of the most >> [music] >> racist states in America. A place where Jim Crow had absolutely no jurisdiction.

[00:24:03]People love to talk about towns [music] that were burned, and you know some of the names: Tulsa, Rosewood, Wilmington, North Carolina.

[00:24:11]We share the pictures of the smoke and the ruins because it fits the story that we've been taught that everything we've ever built, they destroyed it. But, that doesn't tell the complete story. There was a town that [music] they couldn't burn. A town that stood for nearly a century as a living, breathing [music] proof that black people did not need integration to survive.

[00:24:36]>> [music] >> All they needed was infrastructure. This is the story of Mound Bayou, Mississippi. And if you ever wondered what it looked like when a community stops asking for permission, this is your blueprint.

[00:24:49]So, to understand how a place like this could even exist, you have to go back to a bit of a paradox. You have to go back to a plantation called Davis Bend.

[00:24:59]Decades before the Civil War, there was a plantation owned by Joseph Davis, the older brother of Jefferson Davis, the president of the Confederacy. But Joseph Davis was different. He was a utopian socialist. He believed that if you gave enslaved people enough autonomy, they could produce more. So, he set up a system that looked less like a labor camp and more like a twisting experiment on self-governance.

[00:25:27]Enslaved people had their own court system with their own judges and juries to settle disputes. They were trained to be managers. They learned how to keep complex ledgers, how to negotiate contracts with steamboat captains, and how to run a massive agricultural enterprise.

[00:25:45]>> For a very long time, people have been calling the black community illegal in the US.

[00:25:53]And whenever there were deportations, you would always hear someone trying to help somewhere that the black people should be careful because they might be deported as well.

[00:26:04]This didn't start today. Latinos have always been involved as well.

[00:26:10]But allow me to um agree with this, that uh black people are one of the indigenous people in the US. You all remember when Sir Columbus came out here and gave you a lie. He told you how much you're great. The same thing.

[00:26:28]They came to Africa. They went to uh the whole world discovering things that already existed. They discovered mountains that people lived and prayed on the foot of the same mountains. They discovered lakes where people used to fish and gave them new names. They discovered uh waterfalls. They discovered rivers. They discovered this. they discovered that.

[00:26:53]Things that already existed.

[00:26:56]But we were meant to believe that they really saw them before us.

[00:27:01]The same thing in the US.

[00:27:04]You've been told the white dominance in the US. You've probably been told the US is a white man's land. But together, you and me and everyone else know that's a lie.

[00:27:16]Now, the white people arrived in the US through colonization.

[00:27:21]And if you will allow me to tell you some of the things might you might have not known.

[00:27:27]That um this land was occupied by black Indians before anyone.

[00:27:34]And the US was um was a part uh where people did uh people are doing farming before. And black Indians were the inhabitants before. Like they were the majority They were not the only ones, but they were the majority. Then later on, civilization started coming in.

[00:27:57]I'm talking about back in the 15th century and in the 14th century. So, civilization had already started and people had started moving from one point to another.

[00:28:09]During this time, the UK had already started colonizing people around. And a majority of the people from Europe, white people, later on moved to the US for either farming and everything that was happening there. You remember industrial revolution had already started back in the 17th century in the US. In the 16th 16th century in the US when colonization was still happening in the US. So, majority of these people went to the US during almost same this time.

[00:28:47]And by that time, black people had already been taken to work in the farms.

[00:28:54]And [snorts] uh by that time, they were peasants. And we had the lords, you know, those who owned them.

[00:29:01]>> [snorts] >> And um that was around 400 years from now. That's why the Black History Month is celebrated because the timeline elap- the time elapses around 400 years.

[00:29:14]Around that same period from 17th 16th 17th 18th um most of uh Europeans were moving from this side going to the US for a better living, like to do business, to do this, to do that, to work in the factories, and all these other things.

[00:29:32]So, so uh Columbus discovered this country like 700 years back, I think, or something, I don't know.

[00:29:41]But, one thing that you should actually know, the word illegal has been used on our black people for very long time. They've been told how much they belong to Africa, how much they don't belong there. And looking at it historically, the European settlers actually moved and crossed to inhabit these lands without permission. The permission they were to have was that of black Indians.

[00:30:11]Now, later on, uh we all know that um double standards have been used when it comes to a migration narratives.

[00:30:20]That white people who moved there even as late as in the '90s uh in the 19th early 19th and late 18th century are believed to be originals of this country. But, those who have lived there for almost 400 years cannot still qualify to be citizens.

[00:30:43]So, you all have been living a lie.

[00:30:46]A lie from Sir Columbus who told you that this country only belongs to you.

[00:30:51]This country is yours. It belongs to the white Europeans and the white people.

[00:30:56]But, you all have forgotten.

[00:30:58]There are people who have been here for 400 years. So, how do you call such people illegal in a country that they have been born generations after generations, five generations, you still call them illegal? So, the double standards that I've always been talking about when it comes to immigration in the US is when they talk about white Europeans to being citizens in this country and they can vie for any political seats without being termed as illegal.

[00:31:28]But, when it comes to black people who have been there since ages, they now are called Africans or all these other things, you know. They are told to go back to Africa. They are told that they don't belong here and we see the race card being pulled every other time.

[00:31:46]But, when any even those who came in the 1970s and 1960s, they are regarded as citizens of the US. And this this actually goes back to a time when majority of white people felt felt superior in the US. They felt like they owned the whole world. Their systems were meant to oppress the whole world.

[00:32:12]Their systems were meant to dismantle any opponent who challenges their power until we had China rising so fast. Until we had Russia rising so fast that they couldn't control the rate at which people were lining to these powers.

[00:32:28]It is the same thing.

[00:32:30]The truth is coming out so fast that they are never going to know whatever hits them.

[00:32:36]And uh when the truth comes out, white America will be remembered as one of the empires which dominated the world with racism.

[00:32:46]It dominated the world with a history of discrimination, a history of police brutality to mi- minorities, and a history of white supremacy.

[00:32:59]I'm not saying it is the only place in the world that exercises these things, but it is the only country that has run away from its own history, the history of slavery, the history of manipulation, the history of harassment, and the history of a big dog where others have no voice. It is only the US and the US alone. The world is moving so fast, and people are aligning to new powers.

[00:33:27]What happened to the US being the watchdog of the world? We now see China rising so fast. Economically, China is doing better nowadays.

[00:33:38]Their military is stable.

[00:33:40]The other powers are uh we having other powers like Russia on the other side, which has a big milita- military, which now dictates whatever is being done across the world.

[00:33:52]One day, you shall all remember that the black people really saved you at a moment when you rejected them over and over again.
