Final Touches On The Big Barn PadAdded:
Strolling in here to the job site. I am the truck driver for today on Saturday. So, Robert's got the day off and I need to get some more stone brought over here. So, I'm loading and hauling.
Needed uh six more loads. I was going to get three today. I went got one last night and two more today and then I'm going to try to stay here. Finish moving this dirt. We got some rain coming tomorrow.
Let's try to get this stuff wrapped up.
I need half of this equipment on the other job. So, just trying to get done with this so that I can take everything down there to the next project.
All right, just dumped out the last load for me for today. I'm going to uh get the dump truck going. There's about two two more loads of rocks down there. Go ahead and take those back there and stockpile those. And uh then I'm going to work on finish cutting the rest of this dirt out to fill in this slope right back here. I'll jump on the grater, try to grade this out a little bit better, make sure we got a little bit better drainage. See if I can try to cut the road in and then go ahead and spread that stone out over the pad is the goal for today.

So, I'm getting this slope cut in away from the pad here now.
And that's giving me some nice clean top soil to drag down here to finish this side out.
That'll kind of give me a feel for how much more dirt I need to dig out from up there and try to salvage with the excavator, which I'm going to need probably four or five more loads to finish out what I need easily.
Just kind of take this and blend it in best I can.
Still got one little hump up there. I might I've been using the rippers to rip it down, but might have to use the excavator.
Scratch it down five or six more inches.
We'll see. Might be able to make a couple more passes over it with the rippers on this. Break it up.
Just once you've used an excavator, you just know it's faster.
But as you can see, I'm able to cut a fair amount with the grater and just kind of keep transferring it down the hill.
It's actually working out really well.
Heat up here.
All right, I got this bladed over with the grater. Hit a few big rocks. I've got to dig them out with the excavator.
The skid steer. It's a little rough trying to grade this with the motor grader with all these rocks. But got it more better, we should say. All right, I'm going to go ahead and take the excavator, load the rest of this dirt out. I did hit a big rock right here yesterday. So, I don't know if I'm going to be able to dig that up or just going to have a rock sticking up. We'll see.
>> All right. So, I got about three more loads of stuff right here. I'm going to go ahead and load that into the truck and be done with that.
That way, when I come back with fuel for the skid steer, I can dress this up.
And I want to go ahead and spread the rest of that rock out. That way, when it rains tomorrow, it'll soak it up. Then I come back Monday and roll it in real good. It should set up back like concrete hopefully. We'll see.
Come back.
Sleeping.

I'll be glad when this project's done.
This has been one of those. It's kind of drug out longer than it should have.
And this rock did not make life any easier. I still have to put in those cover pipes.
We can do that with the mini excavator one day.
So much dang rock. God, I'm tired of damn rock.
So hard to grade out, clean up every where you dig.
Nightmare.
All right, let me go dump that kind of thing. I put more in there.
Go dump this. come back and get the rest.
Well, the wall did turn out halfway decent. All right, got most of that cut out. I'm going to jump on the skid steer, knock the dirt down back there, and make sure I have enough and start slicking this up. May have a couple more loads to load out right there. That should be it.
Well, I thought I was going to be able to get done, but Skid Steer needs fuel.
So, I'm going have to run to the house, grab the 450, and come back over here with some fuel. I'm going to take the excavator and move those blocks.
When I take the dump truck, I'm gonna put that wrecking ball back in the back and take it home. I'll probably go ahead and load that three two or three loads of stuff out right there and get done with it.

I am tired of running that skid steer this week. I have been on it almost every day. No, I have been on it every day.
I've done on a lot of work. All right, so wrapping up this week. Barn pad is done. I do need to run over with the motor graater, but David did roll it in after I spread the stone. We got some rain coming tomorrow just to kind of seal stuff off a little bit better. And that is going to be a wrap for today. Got all the dirt over there dug out. I need to put some flags down. Marking the driveway in case Robert comes over here with the last three loads of crushed concrete, he can spread um the stone out for that. Need to do a little bit of touch-up work around the wall right here.
So, hit rock up there. So, I couldn't cut that down as much as I wanted to, but all in all, it's going to work out just fine and dandy. was able to take most of those rocks and build a wall right here with it. Just kind of sloping that down and away, tying it in.
And the block wall obviously is right here. So, that'll work out good for the loading dock on the trailers. He can back right up here to it. He'll end up having to put a little bit more stone in here just to raise it up.
But one big pad.
Come back next week. I got to put in those cover pipes. We're going to upgrade one. Put in another one there and then another one down here. Cut some ditches along the edge of the road and fill in grade out the borrow pit. All right, that's enough for today. I've had enough.
