[00:00:00]Now the American President Donald Trump has suggested that pursuing Iran's enriched uranium is more about political optics than about security following the Israeli demands for the material.

[00:00:11]In an interview with Fox News Sean Hannity Donald Trump said and I quote, "I just feel better if I got it actually, but it's more for public relations than anything else. The other thing that we could do is to bomb again, but I'll feel better getting it and we will get it."

[00:00:33]Now Donald Trump has also signaled that he would not be patient with Iran and has urged Tehran to negotiate and to reach an agreement with Washington. He indicated that the United States expects Iran to take some concrete steps towards a deal emphasizing a sense of urgency in resolving the ongoing nuclear dispute.

[00:00:52]Now the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu who worked with Trump on attacks beginning the 28th of February said in a recent interview that the conflict remains unresolved because the sensitive nuclear material must be removed from Iran. This is what the Americans and the Israelis would like to see happen, but the Iranians have made it abundantly clear that Iran claims Iran has a right to enrich uranium.

[00:01:16]Now Trump had previously ordered for the bombings of three key Iranian nuclear sites in June last year claiming that they were completely obliterated, but if they were obliterated, what was the need to start this war again on the 28th of February? That is something that the American dispensation, the president and and his administration have not been very clear in stating as to what the state is of Iran's nuclear sites is.

[00:01:43]Now this year Donald Trump of course has started some allegations that Iran was close to building an atomic bomb that the Israeli intelligence of course fed to him which resulted in the Americans and the Israelis jointly starting this war on Iran in order to try and destroy Iran's nuclear program. That, however, has not happened. Instead, what has happened is that Iran has arrested control of the Strait of Hormuz.

[00:02:12]Remember, the Iranians had in fact agreed to a deal with the Americans.

[00:02:16]That was back in 2015 under the Obama administration. That deal was called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. And Donald Trump had described that deal as the worst negotiated deal in American history and had unilaterally walked out of it. Now, Iran's a nuclear program also dominated Donald Trump and Xi Jinping's meeting in Beijing.

[00:02:41]The American president said that both sides had agreed during the high-level talks that Iran must never acquire a nuclear weapon.

[00:02:50]We discuss Iran. We feel very similar on Iran. We want that to end.

[00:02:56]And we don't want them to have a nuclear weapon.

[00:02:58]We want the straits open. We're closing it down. They closed it, then we closed it on top of them.

[00:03:04]But we want the straits open. And we want them to get it ended because it's a crazy thing. They're a little bit crazy.

[00:03:14]And it's no good. Can't have it. They cannot have a nuclear weapon.

[00:03:20]Now, commenting on Donald Trump and Xi Jinping's talks on Iran's a nuclear issue, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson has welcomed the US-Iran ceasefire efforts and has stressed the need to ease tensions through dialogue, consultation, and also a negotiated settlement.
