Los Gatos 'Party Mom' sentenced to more than 35 years

After three days of hearings and a case that spans nearly six years, Shannon O' Conor, known as Losato's party mom, has been sentenced to 35 years and 10 months in prison. That's the maximum sentence allowed. This was a very emotional day in court as victims read their statements as well as Okconor. In court, she said, quote, "I want you to all know that I live every day wishing I could take everything back and go back in time and change it all. I am responsible for the harmful situations that I put your daughters and sons through. There really are no words for me to say to express how very sorry I am."

[00:00:42]She was convicted by a jury on dozens of counts for organizing secret alcohol fuels parties for Loscatos High School freshman in her house between 2020 and 2021. Also for kids ages 13 to 15.

[00:00:56]Prosecutors said Okconor watched boys sexually assault girls for her own enjoyment. Victims today sitting in the courtroom gallery scoffed and shook their heads while they listened to Okconor's apology. in the morning. Many of the victims were previously friends with one of her sons. Santa Clara County District Attorney Jeff Rosen, after the sentencing, described the trauma the victims experienced.

[00:01:21]>> I listened to the testimony of several victims and their parents and heard these words and phrases over and over again.

[00:01:32]Predator, manipulated, groomed, hypersexualized, violated, betrayed, traumatized, isolated, intimidated, harassed, made me feel small, suffered severe anxiety and depression, contemplated suicide, not over it. Lifelong impact forever changed me. stole my innocence, took away my childhood, but I also heard resilient, strong survivors.

[00:02:14]>> So, we just want our daughters to move on, put this behind them, live their lives, and be the strong, resilient, beautiful young women that they are. And the young men, too, that were affected.

[00:02:25]I'm proud of everybody who made a statement and was able to show up and speak their truth so that the judge took it seriously and put this woman who is a danger to every child behind bars um for hopefully a very very long time. Um >> the black cloud is finally moving on moving on.

[00:02:48]>> And now the judge sentenced to Okconor for credit and time served. That means she'll technically be spending 31 years in jail from now moving forward.
