Professional combat sports fighters often pursue multiple disciplines (boxing, MMA, Muay Thai, kickboxing) because they genuinely love the art of combat, not just for financial gain; however, fighters must carefully consider weight management and safety, as weight cutting can be dangerous and weight classes exist to protect fighters from facing opponents significantly larger than themselves, which could be life-threatening in bare-knuckle combat.

‘EVERYONE IS SH*****G ON USYK’ Darren Till DOES NOT MINCE HIS WORDS | BKFC DEBUT | TOMMY FURY HALLAdded:
What an atmosphere it is. They go toe to toe to the bell.
Big for by the head shot.
Refusing to lose, refusing to give up.
Got it. Right hook to the head.
The reason God gave you fear is so you can survive.
Boxing King Media, Darren Till, the ultimate fighting man. Uh, you know, I was reading up your record, Darren. I find it pretty mad. You've fought in almost every form of combat.
That's pretty mental to the average human being.
>> Yeah. Do you know what, mate? I just I appreciate the the art of combat, whether it be MMA, Muay Thai, boxing. Uh I I just do you know what? I've never I've never had another job. I've never done anything. I just wake up and I for me, I just love the art of combat. So say it to me and I'll do it. I'll do all kinds of combats. I'll do it.
>> Explain to the average human being who walks on the street who doesn't really want any beef with anyone and you're just out there chasing it. And it's not just like I said there, you've done every type of combat, mate. It's bit bit mad. I didn't know you did kickboxing to be honest with you. You've done everything.
>> I think if I was to explain it to the normal person, I don't think normal people get it as much as like how can you how can your day job be, you know, fighting combat combat arts, but some people just love it. Me personally, obviously I get paid handsomely from it as well. So that's a perk. But ever since I was a kid, I just love it. So it's obviously it's not normal saying your 9 to5s going in and getting beat up for a living. Yeah, it is mine.
>> Which one have you enjoyed doing the most? Like which one is which one hurts the most as well? That'd be interesting to know.
>> Muay Thai. I've just said that on another Muay Thai. Shin on shin obviously knees to the stomach to the face occasionally elbows. Muay Thai definitely has to be the more brutal.
And then obviously bare knuckles up there alongside my thigh. But you know in MMA I've seen in the gym arm breaks and and and and knee pulls and stuff like that. So every art in its own right is dangerous and is brutal. But if I had to s it down to to to the more more brutal one out of the law, I think it's Muay Thai.
>> Which one pays the most and which one pays the less?
>> Well, right now in my career, Buckle pays the most. And which pays the less?
There's Muay Thai. The reason I left like 500 quid a fight, 1,000 pound a fight. Just especially being the more brutal one. Not worth your time. Not worth you putting eight weeks worth of training into fight camp. Uh my tie is the is the less as we say, how do we say like you just don't get nothing in return for it and your body's getting beat up every fight. Some of these tie fighters have had 300 fights and they've got nothing to show for it.
>> Yeah, that that makes perfect sense. You know, in this weather, the weather's like been blazing the last couple of days. How do you kind of keep yourself not wanting to just go and sunbathe and eat or drink what you want? Cuz like it must be so hard now in this heat.
>> Oh, it's hard. Oh, it's hard. Trust me.
When I live in city center Liverpool, so when I'm driving through and I'm seeing everyone having pintrettes and sunbathing, I sort of I'm hating on the world a little bit.
>> I am.
>> Yeah, I can I can believe that. Uh the guy that you're fighting on your BKFC debut is Aaron Charas, who's already had a couple of fights. Um, but obviously he's not like a full-on fighting man like you that he's not got the pedigree you've got. Um, what are you expecting to do to this guy on Saturday night?
Look, I'm I'm expecting the way I've trained and the way I am and and what I know I can do, I am expecting to to to to get him out of there. But not to say, you know, maybe he might be the lesser experienced in fighting and obviously Leie is uh fighting than me, but never to say any man's got a punches chance, got two hands, two fist, two knees, two elbows. So I certainly am not overlooking them and thinking it's just going to be a walk in the park. I can go in there with me all. I'm going to have me guard high and I'm going to be on me game from the from the the start of the the the the fight to the end of the fight and you know I'm going to come out victorious and all that but in no way, shape or form am I underestimating this man? You can't do it cuz you can you can pay massively for it.
>> Yeah, 100%. And what are your ambitions in that sport? Is it just a case of trying to get as many big payday fights or do you want to be a BKFC world champion? Have you got like ambitions going forward? I wouldn't mind being the BKFC champion. Yeah, I wouldn't mind getting that belt. I think that's a good thing to do.
>> Yeah, 100%. And have you spoken to Conor McGregor in with this transition? What's he saying?
>> No, I haven't I haven't had a chance to speak to Connor. I've heard he's said some nice things. He's he's happy to have me in the B and stuff like that.
Obviously, we fought in UFC together.
So, yeah, I'll be having a chat with Connor and I'm sure everything's okay.
He's training for his fight and uh all the best to him. And and just out of curiosity, you know, do you have any plans to ever go back to like boxing or any other combat? I don't know if there's anything left that you haven't done.
>> I wouldn't mind going tie me hand at 1 FC. Maybe one day. Let's see. Let's see how it goes. One day, who knows? I can go in the 1FC cage and do some t with the MMA gloves on because I've done it all, haven't I? As you said.
>> Yeah. I'm trying to think soon wrestling. Is that even combat?
>> I'd have to put on a few pounds for that one.
>> I bet. Um I've got to ask you like you know um with regards to I think Poly Maligni I was at the ringside for his fight recently and I don't know if this is like similar in all the bare knuckle stuff but the guy that he fought I think he had 30 pounds on him which was crazy.
They're both weighing 150 but his opponent weighing 181 on fight night and Paulie was still 150. Do you have any I don't know around your sort of weight is that ever going to be an issue where you're going to fight a guy that's going to be bloody ballooned up on fight night? No, I I I cut I cut the the right amount of weight to make sure that I'm always going to be very healthy, fit, big, and strong in my category. So, if I'm fighting a let's say I don't know, Cruiser weight in the bare knuckle and stuff like that, I'll always put on the sufficient enough pounds to make sure that I'm not the the lesser or smaller man in there, that that must be a case of with Paulie, he didn't care if he was giving the 30 pounds away, which that'll never be the case with me. I'm not I'm not giving 30 pounds in a way where in a sport where you get hit by your bare fist. I think that's just ridiculous.
So, I'll make sure that I'm never in that position. Uh, that's why we have weight classes for a reason. Like, I would never fight a heavyweight and bare knuckle. It's not that it's just a punch force behind the punch of a heavyweight.
He's got that extra couple of stone on you. Why would you do it? You're sacrificing not your health there.
You're sacrificing your life in many instances.
>> Yeah, definitely. I've got to get you obviously your arch nemesis on the misfit side, Tommy, fights Eddie Hall in a few weeks. Do you have an opinion on how that fight might turn out to go? I think Eddie Hall is going to beat him.
>> Yeah, >> think Eddie's going to win. Yeah, I'm putting me money on Eddie.
>> He sound like Derek Chisoro when he backed Rico to beat us.
>> He was right though, wasn't he? He was right. Rico got it.
>> Yeah, >> he should have got it. Should have got it.
>> What What were your thoughts on that?
Um, you probably told everyone today, but yeah. What were your thoughts on that?
>> I just thought Rico done really well. He had a very awkward style he brought to us. User couldn't figure him out. Only figured him out later on in the rounds.
uh Rico should have been given the 12 rounds to fight it out and if he's got the proper stopage then fair dos but I think it was stopped early I think again the powers that be in boxing win there's a lot of cancerous in it and uh yeah that's it they always they always find a way to let the the star or who should be champion win so a lot of a lot of politics as I should say >> there's a lot of people saying no finished but obviously 3 months ago he he obviously knocked out Daniel Dubois who went and did what he did a couple of weeks ago.
I don't know you might have experienced people saying oh Darren's finished but then you go and hop into another combat sport and he's still smashing it in every sport. It must be hard for fighters to deal with that.
>> Yeah it is. It's hard but maybe you don't know maybe you should had a bad fight camp. Maybe he was dealing with something. Maybe he's hurt his leg.
Maybe was sometimes you don't know. Like when I was in the UFC towards the end of my career I I had so many injuries that I never told people about. So people were like, "Oh, he looks he looks out of shape and stuff like that." But it was because because of other things outside the cage. Sometimes people are just genuinely just can't be bothered no more. But like now I'm I'm in my prime peak physical condition and everyone's like raving. So yeah, it's it's a fickle sport. It's a it's the fight the fighting world's very fickle. One day you're up, the next day you're down. So everyone's on us now, but he might come back and just show us why he's supreme again. So you know, you shouldn't buy into it really. Do you know what I mean? A lot of people shouldn't buy into it. Definitely. Last thing I've got for you, I'm trying to think, is there anyone else in combat sports that's fought in as many combat sports as you have? I'd be interested to know that.
Do you know of anyone?
>> I'd like you to I'd like you to come back on me to me on that one if we ever speak again because I'm not so sure.
I've I've fought Muay Thai boxing, MMA, kickboxing.
I fought karate when I was a child.
Yeah. I've done I've done quite a few actually. All high level as well. Yeah.
>> So, yeah, >> you should >> I'll be interested to know.
>> You should rename yourself. Forget the gorilla, the the ultimate fighting man.
As John Fury as John Fury say.
>> Take it from him.
>> Definitely, D. Appreciate your time, mate. Enjoy the >> Thanks, mate. Appreciate that. Have a good one, mate. See you later. Thank you. Thank you.
>> The reason God gave you fear is so you can survive.
What an atmosphere it is. They go toe to toe to the bell for by the head shot.
