[00:00:00]What is ladder logic in less than a minute? Go. So, ladder logic is the graphical representation of a program that runs on PLCs or programmable logic controllers. And ladder logic is called that because it looks like a ladder. So, it consists of your two rails, and then you have these things called rungs right here. And on each rung, you're going to have your inputs, and then on the opposite side, you're going to have your outputs. So, in short, ladder logic goes from top to bottom, left to right. So, if it were to get a let's say a contact to close, then that would execute what's on this line, such as maybe turning on a lamp. And that lamp would turn on. And so, what is going to be happening in a ladder logic system is you're going to have the functionality of a program in a sequence of events that you want to be executed based on the inputs and the outputs that are required.
