[00:00:05]Many people have a desire to make a master plan of retiring, coming to Thailand, uh with the beautiful weather and the cost of living and the landscape and and just they they they plan it in their head and they think, "This is going to be great.

[00:00:26]I'm going to take my nest egg, move to Thailand, and I'm going to live happily ever after."

[00:00:33]Well, when they get over here, sometimes they get blacklisted, and I'm not talking about immigration.

[00:00:42]20 seconds to Thailand. Thailand rock.

[00:00:44]What do I mean by that?

[00:00:46]Well, I was going to make a video this morning and tell you about how it's not always a perfect fit to be over here in Thailand, but then as I started thinking about telling you this, it dawned on me that there are many people that live here that really shouldn't be here.

[00:01:05]They're having fun. They're steamrolling over their life with blinders on, not realizing that they're pissing off and upsetting everyone in their wake. Um guilty in some ways is charged. I have upset a lot of people in my life, but these people are up into the point where they just don't care, whereas I I really don't like upsetting people. I really don't think my way is the right way, and these people and maybe some people out there that are considering coming over here, you can do it your own way. You can lead your own path down righteousness and live however you want to over here, but I will tell you what, it's a lonely life. Uh it can be a lonely life over here if that's the way you're going. Let me explain. End of flashback.

[00:01:55]Like I said, I was going to tell you and am going to tell you how some people it just doesn't work out over here. But the funny part is that sometimes, even if you're an you can live in Thailand and think you're doing just fine. And you probably are. You probably got more money than anyone else in the village, and you're in the village because you've been kicked out of Kamala. And I'm speaking in my mind, I know of three people right now that do not live in Kamala because nobody wants to hang out with them anymore. Except their partner. That's it.

[00:02:27]And I would name names, but they get a little testy when I do that. So, anyway, one big thing that I've noticed, and I'm guilty as as well, is when I came from the west over here, for some reason I thought that I knew I had a either a higher education or I knew a little bit more or like the western side was a bit more modern. And in some ways, some things it's more modern, but that's it's it's completely not correct.

[00:02:58]Thailand has probably better damn Wi-Fi than you. So, I'm just saying that they've got their stuff worked out over here very well. It may look a little different, it may smell a little different, and it is a little different, but I shouldn't have come over here with that thought process. It was just something I had gleaned from the world and the internet.

[00:03:16]When I travel to each country that I've ever been to, and there's been several, even though people don't I don't make videos out of me going to Japan all the time or me going to Singapore all the time or Malaysia. But when I go when when in Rome, and I've not been to Rome yet, when in Rome, mhm.

[00:03:34]So, when I go to another country, out of respect and curiosity, I try to adapt very quickly to the culture that I'm within. Many foreigners, especially from my neck of the woods that I can speak No, no, no, no. I take that back. Many foreigners over here, a lot of them are They're from They're from European countries and American countries. They come over here and they're And what they do is they drive like they think they own the place. They act like they own the place. They treat the women like they own the place. They just walk up and down the streets just just And of course they can survive cuz they'll get that one girl. They'll get that one girlfriend that will just beg to stay with them because they finally finally landed a boyfriend/husband, whatever, with an income that can support the family. Honestly, this creates a lot of positivity in the village. And when I say the village, I'm talking about yes, going back home, paying all the bills for mama, grandma, grandpapa, cousins, nieces, nephews, and that's the way it works. And if you're not supporting the family, then you're actually being you're being talked about really really They've got names Oh, it's Trust me. But let me get back to my point of this video quickly and we'll end it with this one today is some people come in and become part of the culture.

[00:05:01]In Kamala, Bangkok, where I've seen so many people Pattaya, especially a lot of a lot of my friends that live in Pattaya, they they blend right in. They come in.

[00:05:11]They they become part of the culture there. They create their own little communities and everyone's nice, happy, and everyone's nice, happy.

[00:05:25]They get along. It's an ecosystem.

[00:05:27]And then you got And you guys probably know one. There's that one guy that nothing was good enough for him. He didn't like the way you were. He didn't like the way she was. He doesn't like the way that the game goes over here. He doesn't like the way they run this restaurant or run that bar. You know that guy, right? That's what I'm talking about. Everyone else around them is flawed. They're perfect, right? Cuz they're perfect. Whether they were in some however they were brought up, they're the ones that are perfect. And you know what happens to those?

[00:05:59]They end up building a house somewhere far away from the lifestyle and community of the rest of Thailand. Now, what they probably don't know is everyone knows about them and either talks about them in that way. I'm not saying we sit around and just gossip about him.

[00:06:18]There's no reason to. It's It's really pathetic. It's really sad to see someone come all the way to the beautiful, beautiful kingdom of Thailand and bury yourself into a property where you're by yourself with your hostage girlfriend or wife. Now, this is a rough video, I know. But I've seen it happen so many times that I just thought, "Hey, I hope you don't do I hope if you're not over here yet, or if you are over here, I hope you're not that person. And if you are, then well, you don't care about what I'm saying anyway because again, you think you're right about everything.

[00:06:55]So, again, I know I'm I'm sounding really aggressive today, which is weird.

[00:06:59]But I'm getting ready to leave here, so I got to thinking about what it's like to leave some place and not be around people that I know cuz I know a lot of people up here just as much as I know a lot of people in Bangkok, just as much as I know a lot of people in Pattaya, and Phuket. I'm always with friends, always. I would never want to be sitting in a house by myself with no one to hang out with. To me, that's prison. But anyway, I digress. It sounds like I'm venting when I really didn't mean to make a venting video. I apologize if it went that route. Um usually my videos are pretty uplifting. I guess what I want to say is try to learn new things when you come over here. Try to accept that uh you might only have a few choices of beer and Leo's a good one.

[00:07:48]So is San Miguel Light. Everyone loves San Miguel Light. Oh my gosh, it's not a Thai beer. I hope you guys have a wonderful weekend. I hope I didn't make you upset about anything. And if you're one of those people that live by yourself in a house with your girlfriend, you might not be the jerk that I'm talking about. I'm just referencing a couple of people that I know personally that don't like anybody and no one likes them, including the Thai people.
