God Wants To Heal Your Nervous System… 💕

[00:00:03]Hey sis, welcome or welcome back to About Her Father's Business. Some of you are not just tired in your mind, you are tired in your body. Your body has been carrying stress, your body has been carrying fear, your body has been carrying pressure, your body has been carrying what your mouth never fully said out loud. And I need to say this clearly, God does not only want to comfort your spirit, he wants to calm what your body has been holding on to.

[00:00:29]That is the word. Because some of you have been functioning but not feeling safe.

[00:00:34]Moving but not resting, sleeping but not settling, praying but still feeling braced inside. So stay with me for a few minutes because I really believe God wants to touch some of the women deeply right now. And by the end of this prayer, I want your spirit to know this.

[00:00:49]You do not have to keep living like your whole body is under attack. Take a pause right there because some of you have gotten so used to survival mode that peace feels unfamiliar. I remember a season where I could tell my body was carrying too much. My mind was running, my chest was tight, my shoulders stayed tense, I could feel myself always bracing, always anticipating the worst, always carrying something heavy on my shoulders. And the Lord showed me something. He showed me that he cared about that. Not just whether I was still showing up, not just whether I could still quote scripture, not just whether I could keep pushing through. He cared about the part of me that had forgotten how to come down.

[00:01:27]That changed me. Because a lot of women of God know how to function while still being overstimulated. We know how to smile while being anxious. But God wants deeper healing than that. Psalm 131:2 says, "Surely I have behaved and quieted myself." That means God cares about quieting the soul.

[00:01:47]Matthew 11:28 says, "Come unto me all who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest." Not just sleep rest.

[00:01:56]Rest. Philippians 4:6 and 7 says, "The peace of God will keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus." That means peace is not just pretty language. Peace keeps, peace guards, and peace covers.

[00:02:09]And some of you need that kind of peace right now because your nervous system has been carrying grief, pressure, overstimulation, fear, trauma, uncertainty, emotional exhaustion. And God is saying, "I want to heal what stress has done to you."

[00:02:26]That is the word. Not shame you for it, not rush you through it. He wants to heal you. Isaiah 26:3 says, "Thou will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee." Perfect peace. Not the fake peace, not the temporary peace, real peace.

[00:02:42]Say this out loud right now.

[00:02:45]God is healing what stress did to me.

[00:02:47]And repeat this.

[00:02:49]I do not have to stay in survival mode.

[00:02:52]Sis, let's pray. Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you for the woman listening right now. Thank you that you see what her body has been carrying. Thank you that you see the tension, the tightness, the pressure, the racing thoughts, the heaviness, the overstimulation, the bracing, the survival mode. Lord, I pray for every woman whose nervous system has been overwhelmed. Every woman whose body has been carrying fear. Every woman whose body has been carrying stress.

[00:03:15]Every woman who has been functioning while overstimulated. Every woman who has been smiling while tense. Every woman who has been praying while her body still feels like it is holding too much. Father, bring peace. Peace to her breathing, peace to her shoulders, peace to her thoughts, peace to her emotions, peace to the places in her that have been carrying way too much for too long.

[00:03:37]Lord, quiet what has been racing. Heal what has been stretched. Bring calm to the places in her that have forgotten how to unclench. Father, I ask that you would heal what fear has done to her body. Heal what grief has done to her body. Heal what heartbreak has done to her body. Heal what disappointment has done to her body. Heal what overthinking has done to her body. Heal what always being the strong one has done to her body. Heal what survival mode has done to her body. Because Lord, some of your daughters do not even remember what it feels like to feel calm on the inside.

[00:04:08]They do not remember what it feels like to feel settled, to feel safe, to feel still, to feel rest in their whole being. So Father, reintroduce peace to them. Let peace become familiar again.

[00:04:18]Let calm become familiar again. Let stillness become familiar again. Let her body learn what safety in you feels like. Your word says that you will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on you. So today, I ask for your perfect peace. Not surface peace. Not performative peace. Not a quick emotional lift. Deep peace. Peace that reaches the nervous system. Peace that reaches the mind. Peace that reaches the body. Peace that reaches places that have been living in fight mode. Lord, where fear has trained her to brace, bring gentleness. Where that uncertainty has made her feel tense, bring steadiness. Where pain has made her hyper alert, bring rest. Where old trauma has made her body react fast, bring safety. Where stress has made her feel trapped inside herself, bring release. Father, I pray against torment.

[00:05:05]I pray against panic. I pray against mental noise. I pray against constant overstimulation. I pray against emotional overload. I pray against the feeling that she always has to stay on.

[00:05:14]Let that break right now. Let her body come into agreement with the peace of God. Let her mind come into agreement with the peace of God. Let her emotions come into agreement with the peace of God. And Father, if there is anything she has been holding in her body that she has never fully processed, touch that place, too.

[00:05:30]The silent grief, the silent fear, the silent pain, the silent disappointment, the silent stress. Meet her in those hidden places. Do not let her feel ashamed for what her body has been carrying. Let her feel loved there. Let her feel seen there. Let her feel held there. Because you are not embarrassed about the woman who feels overwhelmed, you are near to her. You are gentle to her. You know how to calm her down when life keeps stirring her up. So today I pray that her room would be filled with peace. Let peace sit on her bed. Let peace sit in her chest. Let peace sit in her thoughts. Let peace sit in her breathing. Let peace sit in her whole body. And I ask you, Lord, to begin a deep healing work. Not just a one-night comfort, a real thing. A healing that changes how she lives. A healing that changes how she rests. A healing that changes how she responds. A healing that changes how her body carries stress. A healing that teaches her she does not have to keep living like she is under constant attack.

[00:06:25]Let her know this deeply today. She is safe in you. She is held by you. She is seen by you. And you are still able to calm, settle, and heal what stress has done to her.
