How Do You Know If a Food Is Actually Healthy?

[00:00:04]Should I buy it, or should I eat it? Or not? The food health score is looking at two core components of food. So, we're looking at nutrient density, which essentially means for every calorie of that food that you put into your body, what percentage of that calorie is packed with nutrients that are going to be beneficial to your body, versus nutrients that aren't necessarily beneficial to your body. So, if you think about a nutrient that's beneficial, you might think about quality protein, or you might think about fiber. If you think about a nutrient that's not so beneficial, you might be thinking about like added sugar, as an example. So, that's one component of the score. And then the second component of the score, we call the ingredient quality measure. So, not only how much good stuff is in every calorie of food, but when you look at the ingredient label for that food, are there ingredients in there that have clinical evidence that have shown that they are health positive ingredients, or are there ingredients in there that have clinical evidence to show that they are not?
