International law enforcement relies on military power, and the erosion of this framework creates dangerous conditions where powerful nations may escalate conflicts, as demonstrated by the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz and the potential for miscalculation in international diplomacy.

Israel Will Continue the War — Iran Prepares for a Major Counterattack!| Lawrence WilkersonAdded:
President Trump's threatened an ally, threatened to blow up the Oman.
>> Yes. And that's the last country you'd want to say that about. The very last.
Good people.
>> Colonel, was based on a totally erroneous understanding of maritime law. The Strait of Hormuz is not international waters.
12 and 1/2 miles of it is owned by Iran and 12 and 1/2 miles of it is owned by Oman and it's 25 miles wide.
You go 10 miles off the coast of Louisiana and see how far you get. The United States claims 12 and 1/2 miles and because of that claim, so does the rest of the world.
What do you think they think in Oman when he says something like that?
>> That he's an idiot, that he's a fool, that he has an agenda behind his words.
That's the only thing they can't they they I don't think the world is ready to compare uh to to simply boil it down to the man doesn't know what he's doing.
They just can't do that because if you do that, then you're you're up against one of the most powerful countries in the world with almost 6,000 nuclear weapons, for example, with insanity leading it. And you can't deal with that if you're a foreign diplomat or foreign leader. You just can't deal with that. So, you got to deposit some rationality in his regard in order to deal with him and try to figure it out.
I don't think we're at a point yet where everyone's going to give up on him. Even if they do give up on him, they're essentially giving up on the Western world.
>> Colonel, who enforces international law?
>> We did. We did. Mao Zedong was right when he said it came out of the barrel of a gun and we knew that and we had the gun. And our allies had the gun and to a certain extent other members of the 5 had the gun. And by and large, uh I'll argue with anyone on this, by and large, up until about 9/11, we essentially used that power for the betterment of the world. We did it for the betterment of ourselves, too, but what's wrong with that if they are congruent? And I would argue that they're more often congruent when you do what you should do in the one that seems not to be that powerful. Because it's conducive to your interest, especially if you purport to believe in democracy.
>> I wonder if these people believe in democracy. This is only about 10 seconds long, but it's very telling. Watch this, Colonel. Cut number six, Chris.
>> And the Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, Central Casting. He's He [clears throat] loves war. I don't I guess >> [laughter] >> He's a good man, Elmo.
Shouldn't the Secretary of Defense loathe war rather than love war?
>> Yes. Yes. You would never have had any previous Secretary of War, not even Tecumseh Sherman, who would have come out and in public said he loved war. What was it Sherman did say? War is hell.
>> Mhm.
It almost sounds like Pete Hegseth was chosen because he's objectively handsome and physically attractive.
>> Oh God, you would say that.
>> [laughter] >> Have we come down to that, cosmetics?
>> No, I'm I'm I'm extrapolating from what the president just said that Pete is straight out of Central Casting. I suppose he could have meant other things, and maybe I'm >> Well, now if he were if he were 5'10" and he had some large protuberances up here about where his chest is instead of those tattoos, and he had really curvy hips, I might say you were right.
>> Wow.
>> Donald Trump seems to have an enormous fascination for beautiful women.
>> Yeah. How can two people start a war that makes 8 billion miserable?
>> That's a good question. That goes right back to my point. We are making the world a horrible place to live in, and I've got to say quickly the other people in that world who are rapidly assuming the real power in that world don't like it, and they will eventually gang up and stop it.
>> Wow.
>> The problem with that, of course, is that we, as I keep saying, we have nuclear weapons, and when they try to stop it, there's no way in the world we're not going to go to those weapons.
>> So, who can stop Donald Trump?
>> The American people, but they don't seem to be inclined or courageous enough to do it.
>> And who can stop Netanyahu? Can Trump stop Netanyahu?
You know, Trump boasted the other day on a tarmac uh somewhere in Florida, um Netanyahu will do whatever I tell him. He said it twice in about 30 seconds. Does he have that in reverse, that Trump will do whatever Netanyahu tells him?
>> To this point, I would say yes, you're absolutely right. I don't know what's happening right now. I truly do not know what's happening. There seems to be a fracture taking place, but I'm not sure the fracture is worse than the bond. Uh cuz Netanyahu seems to be going wild in Lebanon right now, and I I mean that as I said it, he seems to be going wild.
>> And you know, the state says paid for it, all this slaughter.
And nobody's lifting a finger to oppose it.
>> And we're complicit in the crimes.
There's no question.
>> Yeah.
I don't know if you saw this. It's uh viral today.
It's a clip of Joe Biden >> [snorts] >> at the worst moment of the debate against Donald Trump and his wife's reaction. Watch this.
>> Making sure that we're able to make every single solitary person eligible for what I've been able to do with the with with with the COVID Excuse me, with um dealing with everything we have to do with uh Look, if we finally beat Medicare.
>> As I watched it, I thought, "Oh my god, he's having a stroke."
And it scared me to death.
>> Were you horrified as you saw it unfold?
>> I wasn't horrified. I was frightened.
Because I had never ever seen Joe like that before or since.
>> Never.
>> Yes.
>> Or since.
>> Never seen him like that.
>> Never. No.
>> What happened?
>> I don't know what happened. I mean, when I as I watched it, I thought, "Oh my god, he's having a stroke."
And it scared me to death.
>> Well, she knows him best, I suppose. So, >> Yeah.
Very very dangerous for the American people. I mean, Trump is uh uh impulsive, volatile, uh erratic, and not believable.
And Biden was non compos mentis at least at that moment in time and probably at others.
>> Which argues very powerfully and strongly for not having presidents even close to 80 years old.
>> Yeah, well, we're about to have uh another one and we just watched some of his uh more absurd uh comments admiring the physicality of um Hegseth and threatening to blow up blow up a child's phrase.
Uh and >> At the head of this article I was telling you about uh about how we're destroying international law and making war a constant at the head of the article was a video of Pete Hegseth.
And it was perfectly matched with the narrative.
>> Wow.
Uh Colonel, when you have a free moment, send me a link to that article, please.
>> Surely.
>> Okay, and thank you, Colonel. A pleasure to chat with you no matter how gloomy the subject matter may be.
I know you were happy a little while ago when you were fishing and I'm sorry I ruined that joy, but your thoughts are very valuable to us, sir.
>> Well, a fifth grader who knows what krill is is a real boon to your >> We all know that that's what whales eat.
>> [laughter] >> I only know it cuz you told me before we started the show.
>> Thank you, Colonel. Thank you.
>> That's the stuff the whale whales eat, isn't it? Yeah. She said, "Yeah, right."
