What Justin missed out on?! NEW Clutches!Added:
Hey guys, it's Summer. And Robbie. And Justin and Chase are out of town.
They're having the time of their lives in Asia.
And we are hanging out at the facility looking at all the amazing snakes that they are missing. So, let's check it out.
Okay, Robbie. So, what has been shed out? What have you been IDing and putting into the system since Justin's been gone?
>> Gosh, well, honestly, like this whole wall we've been IDing and putting into the system and they have missed out on some really cool animals, actually. So, >> [music] >> right here, one of my favorites we've hatched out in a while and you guys have seen that I've shared this on Instagram. [music] But right here, we believe this is a fire yellowbelly >> [music] >> powerball desert ghost clown. He is also 66% head hypo as well. Yeah, so that's definitely some We have a shed test out for that one, looks like.
>> Yeah. So, get that confirmation. But man, Look at that head stance.
>> Yeah, that head is crazy and it's so, [music] you know, interesting. Powerball is such a It's such a shame that they have that wobble. Um, most of them do pretty well. Like as you can see, this one is not. Yeah, this one is actually very good.
>> Very mild. Um, man, they have such a cool pattern and getting the DG in there to clean it up, obviously putting it with the clown, just >> [music] >> so bright and so contrasted.
>> Yeah. You ever had like it's, you know, I know we already have a bumblebee morph, but it is very bumblebee colors, you know. It is. Yeah, the the dorsal is very highlighted.
>> Okay, cool. Well, what else have we got?
All right. A clutch mate, which might be all of our favorites, actually.
We were all very excited, jumping up like little schoolgirls when we hatched this one out. [music] So, this right here is almost a Pompey hypo [music] DG clown.
>> Yeah. Wow.
>> missing the red stripe in this one. And it's got fire potentially as well.
>> has fire potentially. We're still waiting on the shed test, but we have a black pastel potentially fire yellow belly spot nose hypo desert ghost clown.
Yeah, so if it does have fire, that that becomes like a step up. We made this without fire, I think last year, and if we can kind of up the ante and get fire in it now, such a cool animal. Yeah, and those splains are insane. And again, I hope the camera picks it up because seriously, like the orange with the purple from the hypo, it's such a good like color theory like complementary kind of sides of the color wheel that it really really makes it stand out, yeah. Here we have a pretty wacky [music] clown pied combo. We have what we believe to be a enchi yellow belly possible white lace clown pied.
Wow.
>> you guys were a part of the last email send out for the highlighted animals, I I mentioned that we had a pretty cool clown pied clutch hatching out, so >> [music] >> this is that animal. Yeah, that's crazy.
I love what the lace does with the pied, and then obviously clown [music] in there to make the pattern even crazier, but lace, you know, making the pied kind of pattern come up on the sides a lot, but it's more just on the dorsal.
Yeah, the pattern just is just completely jagged [music] in the saddles. Really cool. Yeah, that's a really pretty snake. I'll be excited to see the shed test on that one, too. I'm always excited for the shed test just because I feel like you know, we have our theories, and then I like to see that confirmation and like know file it away for like the the repertoire of my brain, but yeah, for sure. Okay, you're pointing to more, which means you have more cool stuff.
>> I know. I just I'm always onto the next, so right here, [music] this clutch, this whole clutch came out amazing. Probably my favorite clutch that we've hatched out since I started working here.
>> Wow, okay, well, I'm already saying wow, I don't even know what I'm looking at.
Neither do I.
I think what we think this is is a potential black pastel yellow belly chocolate wookie hypo clown. Okay, so this is the clutch card, yeah? Yes. So, okay, so this is like a Kraken Hypo clutch type thing. So, we have black pastel, Wookie, [music] GHI, Clown head Hypo to a chocolate spot nose yellow belly red head Hypo Clown. So, we're getting red head into the mix there.
[music] This definitely looks very Kraken adjacent though.
>> The way that Hypo works with this combo, it's like this is as [music] purple as you can get in these animals and then contrasted with the orange.
>> Yeah. Absolutely fantastic.
>> really pretty. Well, what else was in this clutch? Anything else good?
>> yep. We got I mean, the whole clutch was great, but we're going to save that for another video. So, this one is a spot nose yellow belly possible GHI Wookie Hypo [music] Clown.
>> That's so similar to that other one, but I can definitely see like I think the spot nose element is kind of changing up the pattern a little bit. Maybe again, we don't [music] we don't really know for sure until we get those shed tests back. These um Kraken clutches are notoriously hard to ID, Absolutely. but really cool and it like it looks like gold, you know, like that pattern literally has like a metallic look.
>> the medallions or alien heads, however you want to call them, uh they're separated. You can tell where the [music] the top pretty much of the medallions is the kind of like sunset yellow color and then it bleeds [music] into this deep orange pixelated uh almost like broken up >> Yeah. uh medallions on there. They're And check out that tail. Sorry, I'm just noticing it. It's got some [music] like nice little striping down there. Cool stuff, yeah. This is so pretty. Yeah.
>> Yeah, this is a really cool clutch.
>> Yeah, this one uh this one gave me a headache trying to ID yesterday, so >> Yeah. [music] Yeah, yet again, I'll be excited to get the confirmation back.
You know, it's funny when thinking back to that first Kraken clutch, what [music] we had listed as like the genes we thought it was because the snake looked so crazy. And then we did end up shed testing it years later and you know, it's like somewhat deceptively simple. I mean, it's still like a four-gene >> The genes just work well together.
>> just work really well together. So, yeah. All right, so the incubator is just about as full as I have ever seen it.
>> [music] >> It is absolutely packed and we have some really awesome stuff obviously down the pipeline coming and then some stuff that we recently cut that I can go ahead and show you. So, first up is this clutch from a monarch female to a leopard yellow belly sunset clown het pied. This clutch is awesome because, you know, it's one of those future clutches. Visually, nothing crazy yet, but a season or two from now, we're going to hit some awesome stuff. So, all of these will be het monarch sunset and clown. They'll all be poss het pied. Of course, we will test for that. And then we've got yellow belly and leopard in the mix. So, I mean, I'm just thinking ahead to like potentially a yellow belly monarch sunset clown or something like that and it's just going to be crazy. So, really really cool clutch. Next up, we had kind of a small clutch actually. It was just four eggs and two of them actually went bad. Um, but it was from a clown triple het hypo DG pied female to an OD YB enchi DG pied triple het hypo G stripe.
Somebody left off clown. Um, but it's a hypo G stripe clown het male. So, from this, we could have gotten hypos, DGs, and pieds and clowns or hypo DG clown pieds. Unfortunately, we didn't, but we did get a few cool animals. Of course, you know, when we only have two eggs, you're kind of limited, but we got this clown here. It's yellow belly clown het for pied, poss het hypo, poss het G stripe, and het for DG as well. So, definitely a powerful little snake.
And then in the egg, we have what looks to be some kind of a clown pied. I think a DG clown pied if I had to guess. And maybe, um, you know, some some other stuff has hit there as well.
It's a little hard to tell [music] based on the way that it's sitting, but once it's out of the egg, I think that's going to be a really cool snake. And again, I think I'm thinking it's DG just based on how bright it is in the egg, but sometimes that can be deceiving, so I don't know, we'll have to see. We do have OD in this pairing, so that could be a potential factor as well, but really really cool either way and again, lots of potential for the future. Then this clutch I am so excited about. So, this was OD YB Clown double het xanthan pied female to an xanthan triple het desert ghost clown pied male.
>> [music] >> And that means just to break it down because it's a little bit confusing.
Um, we had the possibility for uh, visual clowns, visual xanthics, visual pieds that would be het DG and also have OD and YB in the mix. We got some cool stuff. So, as you can see, we got a little black and white action happening here.
And uh, I'll start out obviously just with this one is kind of the uh, star of the clutch, I think.
>> [music] >> So, this is um, an xanthan clown pied, BPI xanthan clown pied and I'm pretty sure it would be orange dream and probably yellow belly too just based on the fact that um, the way that pattern looks, it's got that OD YB pied sort of look to it. When you get xanthan and pieds and you have all these lightning genes, it makes the alien heads or what would have been saddles, I guess, on the pied, um, it makes them blend into that pied pattern, so you can't even see the edge of the pattern there. It's such a light color.
[music] Um, so really really cool. Love to see this and guys, just imagine we're like getting so close to the xanthan DG clown pied. Um, so we just got to get this this this will be poss het DG. [music] Hopefully it is and then we got to kind of get that going, but we're on the way. Some other cool stuff in here, of course, we have some clowns that are going to be poss het for many things. Um, we've got another pied in the egg here. We've got this example so really cool.
Just another clutch and example clown in the egg here. And of course we do have OG and YB also in the mix. Last but not least we have this quad head to quad head. So [music] quad head example desert ghost monsoon clown. The odds are long but we could have produced the quad visual. Spoiler alert, [music] we didn't but we got some pieces that will help us along the way and these are not quite as far along as those other clutches we just cut this so they are not out of the egg yet. Some of them are upside down so hard to see but we did get some monsoons. I think that looks like a DG monsoon. We've got clowns, example clowns.
Maybe it's DG. So hard to tell in the egg on these guys but you know we'll definitely keep you updated on this when they hatch out. And again just another clutch where we're going to really get to push push some stuff forward. Okay Robbie so I hear we have a new clutch.
We do. We do. We have a blackhead mahogany pied.
She was bred to a yellowbelly monarch pied so So cool. Say it again to me.
Hold on. I got to think here. Blackhead mahogany pied yellowbelly monarch pied so So we're going for an all pied clutch with yellowbelly and blackhead in there [music] and they will be het monarch.
Yeah, exciting. And then you know thinking about what that's going to look like. I mean think look at this girl. So we could reproduce her but add in yellowbelly and then [music] they'd be het monarch. So think about her plus yellowbelly and [music] then turn into monarch coloration. That would be really cool. Talk about like purple and white. Yeah, I mean like if you could imagine this girl with monarch that [music] would just be insane. When she is completely empty. Always always enjoy looking at that knowing she's she's good to go. She'll get fattened up pretty quickly. She will. Yeah, we we treat them well here.
All right. So I'm going to [music] put these over here. It looks like on on the outside it looks like six good eggs. Hopefully they all candle well, but yeah. Hopefully they do. All [music] right. So, as you can tell right there, we got the veins upright, which is good.
That's [music] what we want to see.
Six good eggs.
>> Six good eggs. I like to see that.
>> So, 60 days from now, we'll see what we got. All right. Hope you enjoyed that.
We are having a blast, obviously, with all the cool stuff hatching. Definitely think that Chase and Justin, hopefully they watch this video and have some FOMO. Um but, let us know in the comments what was your favorite. Robbie, what's your favorite overall?
>> Ooh, uh it's got to be the the hypo clown clutch. I think yeah, the purple in there. Yeah, I would have to agree.
It's hard to beat that purple and orange stuff, but let us know what you think, and we'll see you next time.
