[00:00:05]>> Coming up on 4:14 late this Friday afternoon. Let's take a live look outside from our Pompey cam. Yeah, cloud cover generally has been on the increase this afternoon across Central New York, but still a little bit of blue sky for a few lucky spots like there in Pompey.

[00:00:18]Jeff characterized it I think as a decent day. I would agree. Clouds, some sunshine, mainly dry as far outside of a couple spotty sprinkles, but I think those chances for showers will increase a little bit more heading into this evening before ultimately improving conditions are in store heading it through the weekend. We go from that view in Pompey to the view from space on the visible satellite picture showing you the wide view here. Really cool picture of our area of low pressure that's getting set to swing on in out of Quebec, Canada. That's the culprit for the clouds and eventually a few additional showers that'll slide on through Central New York as we continue into this evening. Radar picture mainly dry right now. Couple of probably more sprinkles than anything down toward Ithaca, Cortland, same deal, up into parts of the Adirondacks as well. I think those shower chances will be on the rise here over the next few hours as we'll show you with the time cast in just a few minutes, but overall a lots of dry time still anticipated. No washout in store heading through tonight. Along with the decent looking sky there, we've got decent looking temperatures. 60s to right around 70°.

[00:01:14]Kind of the peak of comfort, right close to 70 in Syracuse, up to 72 right now in Sodus with a little bit more sunshine to the south and west over parts of the Finger Lakes. Mid-70s from Penn Yan extending over toward Dansville. It's been kind of blustery today as well.

[00:01:28]Still seeing some wind gusts occasionally over 20 mph for example in Watertown. Close to a 30 mph gust right now over in Penn Yan. It's going to stay a little breezy at times as we head through tonight. Winds occasionally gusting past 20 mph. Same deal as we head into the day on Saturday. Not as windy, but still breezy to close out the weekend on Sunday. Tonight's lows ending up at close to seasonable levels. Mid to upper 40s. Average low 52. A few of those scattered showers rolling on through. I think we're going to hang on to some stubborn clouds here at least early in the day Saturday, but as we'll show you with the time cast in a moment, our skies they should gradually clear on out. Plenty of sunshine developing during the late morning and especially our Saturday afternoon. Temperature wise though turning a little bit cooler, low to mid 60s. So let's take you through those rain chances, shall we? Hour by hour on time cast. Already by 7:00 p.m.

[00:02:16]some additional showers developing up toward Watertown, Lowville, Old Forge into the Adirondacks. Pretty quiet closer to Syracuse, but I think we've got a window between 8:00 and 11:00 or so this evening for a few rain showers to come on through. After that point Syracuse points west mainly dry and near and east of I-81 still during the overnight, but we'll keep that chance for a few additional rain showers in the forecast, but you may have seen across the high peaks of the Adirondacks not totally ruling out the chance for a couple of snowflakes to be in the mix overnight. Lots of dry time, lots of cloud cover though. First thing on Saturday morning, temperatures in the 40s to near 50. Cloud cover gradually thins on out. Not quite sure it'll be mostly sunny as time cast indicates by lunchtime, but certainly deeper through the afternoon more blue sky breaking on out, but temperatures again still on the unseasonably cool side only in the low to mid 60s. Quiet tomorrow night, lots of dry time expected into the day on Sunday as well. Clouds, some sunshine, maybe a stray shower or two late in the day on Sunday, but I think that time cast kind of overdoing things, so we'll call it mainly dry for now. 72 to close out the weekend. Close to 70 with a few showers Monday and lots of dry time and a warming trend Jeff heading through next week. Close to 80 again Thursday and Friday.
