While the incremental improvements in reaction time are impressive, the chaotic reality of a Costco parking lot proves that "unsupervised" driving remains a marketing aspiration rather than a technical fact. This update offers a more polished assistant, but it still lacks the nuanced judgment required to master high-complexity human environments.

Tesla FSD 14.3.3 : Costco Stress Test — Shocking Results! Is This Finally Un Supervised Car Ready?Hinzugefügt:
Hey Tesla fans. Today, we're putting Tesla's most talked about update, Tesla FSD V14.3.3, through a real Costco parking lot stress test. And honestly, this is exactly the kind of place where any self-driving system can completely fail. Because a Costco parking lot means random people, suddenly stopped shopping carts, cars coming from the wrong direction, tight parking spots, and drivers with absolutely zero patience. So, has Tesla FSD V14.3.3 finally started driving like a real human? Or does it still have a very long way to go? In today's video, we're going to test everything. Parking, summon, pedestrians, stop signs, lane decisions, curb safety, and most importantly, the intervention-free driving experience.
So, make sure you watch till the end because at the end of this video, I'll tell you whether FSD V14.3.3 [music] finally feels almost ready, or if it's still just an impressive demo. And guys, if you enjoy the video, make sure to like, share, and subscribe to the channel. Now, take a look at this.
Tesla recently started rolling out FSD V14.3.3, and this update brings several major changes. According to Tesla, this version includes an upgraded neural network vision encoder, improved RL training, and the biggest claim of all, 20% faster reaction time. Which theoretically means the car can now understand rare situations much faster.
And places like Costco are filled with rare situations. Now, as soon as we enter the parking lot, the very first thing you notice is the slow but confident movement. In older versions, Tesla would often hesitate unnecessarily, but in V14.3.3, the car feels much more decisive, especially when pedestrians are crossing in front of it. Now, here's something interesting. The car is slowly moving between parking rows while detecting pedestrians much earlier than before. It can even instantly identify a shopper suddenly walking in from the side. But, it's still not perfect. One thing I noticed is that FSD can sometimes become a little too cautious. Drivers behind the Tesla start getting impatient because the car keeps waiting unnecessarily. A human driver would definitely be a bit more assertive here.
Now, let's talk about the most important part, parking behavior. Tesla claims that V14.3.3 improves parking spot selection and maneuvering. So, let's test it. [music] We intentionally chose a crowded area with large SUVs parked on both sides.
And honestly, FSD performs surprisingly well here. The car first analyzes the spot, adjusts the steering angle, and then smoothly performs the reverse maneuver. But, this is also where a major issue appears. Some Reddit users have reported that curb handling in V14.3.2 and V14.3.1 is still inconsistent. In some cases, the car gets dangerously close to the curb. And in environments like Costco, curb mistakes can become very expensive.
So, if you're wondering whether this is completely ready for unsupervised driving, no, not yet. Driver attention is still mandatory.
Now, let's talk about actually smart summon. This feature is probably the most noticeable improvement in this update. Previously, actually smart summon was limited to just 6 mph. Now, Tesla has increased the speed to 8 mph, roughly 33% faster. And believe me, in a parking lot, that difference is very noticeable. Now, when we stand outside the Costco entrance and summon the car, it no longer awkwardly crawls towards us like before. The movement feels much more natural. It's still a little cautious, but definitely far more usable than before. However, one thing is still risky. In busy parking lots, unpredictable humans remain the biggest challenge. If a shopping cart suddenly rolls into the path or a child suddenly runs across, human intuition is still better than Tesla. And that's exactly why Tesla still calls this supervised FSD. Now, there's also a new feature added here. Tesla introduced an intervention-free streak counter, which means the car now shows how far you've driven using FSD without any driver intervention. And honestly, this feature feels psychological. Tesla is basically encouraging drivers to achieve longer no intervention drives. And if you can navigate an entire Costco parking lot without intervening, that's genuinely impressive.
Now, compared to highway driving, parking lots are significantly more difficult. Why? Because lanes aren't clearly defined, people don't follow rules, and there's unpredictable movement happening every second. That's also why robotaxi companies handle parking lots extremely carefully. And that's exactly why the Costco stress test matters so much. Now, overall, the driving quality in V14.3.3 definitely feels smoother. Tesla also claims to have reduced unnecessary lane biasing and tailgating, and you can actually notice that improvement in low-speed environments. The car now maintains more human-like gaps than before, but there are still some weird moments. Sometimes you can notice tiny steering micro-adjustments.
Occasionally, the braking still feels slightly jittery, and some Reddit users are still reporting regressions, which basically means Tesla is still in the experimentation phase. Every update improves some things while also introducing a few new quirks. Now, here's the biggest question. Can FSD V14.3.3 replace a human driver inside a Costco parking lot? My answer would be partially. If the environment is controlled, traffic is moderate, and the driver remains alert, then yes, it delivers a genuinely impressive experience. But fully unsupervised confidence? Not yet. Especially in crowded American supermarkets where people can suddenly appear from anywhere, human supervision is still essential. But one thing is very clear.
Tesla's progress is visibly accelerating. 20% faster reaction time, improved neural network vision, better parking behavior, smarter summon, these are not small upgrades. And if Tesla continues improving at this pace, parking lot autonomy could dramatically improve within the next 1 to 2 years.
Now, comment below and tell me, would you trust your Tesla to drive itself through a crowded Costco parking lot?
And do you think Tesla FSD is finally getting close to true robo-taxi level driving? If you enjoyed this video, don't forget to like, subscribe, and hit the bell icon because we'll continue bringing you real-world stress tests for every major Tesla FSD update. Thanks for watching, and I'll see you in the next one. Stay tuned.
