Joel provides a sharp, logical deconstruction of how theological sacrifice fails to excuse interpersonal cruelty, forcing a necessary confrontation between dogma and modern ethics. This analysis effectively dismantles the moral immunity often granted to divine figures by holding their recorded actions to consistent human standards.

Christian Thinks Jesus Wasn't a Racist Jerk
Added:Don't you think that God, in a sense, is like the jerk in the Bible or so or something?
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah, you're on the same page. You're a non-believer. Are you a joking >> No, I believe in Jesus. I'm not saying that like God is the most, you know, nice person out there.
>> Jesus is a jerk.
>> No.
>> Okay, now I've hit a nerve.
Don't you You so you dis- you disagree with Jesus?
>> Huh?
>> I wouldn't say Jesus is a jerk.
>> Yeah, he's a piece of He's a piece of He's a jerk. He's the jerk.
>> Well, that's your interpretation.
>> ask you this. If I had you over, right?
Where Where What's your What's your heritage?
>> Russian.
>> Okay, if I had you over to my house, I had some cookies on the counter, and you were like, "Mhm, can I have one of those cookies?"
And I was like, just ignored you.
And you're like, "Hey, can Can I have one of those cookies, please?" Then my other friend was in the house, and my friend was like, "Can you tell this guy to get the [ __ ] out of here? Like he we don't want this guy around."
And I was just like, "What's Can you tell him I only came for I don't have only have cookies for Ukrainians, for [ __ ] sakes?"
And then you go, "Can I please have this cookie?" And I turned you and I was like, "I I I make these cookies for my children, which are the Ukrainians, not for [ __ ] dogs." Referring to you as a a Russian.
>> Yeah.
>> And then would you go like, "This guy's a [ __ ] jerk."
>> Yeah, I'd think that, but at the same time, you know, I'm also the one begging for cookies like a weirdo, coming to his house to be like, "I want cookies. I want cookies. I need I need I need I need cookies instead of like slobbering like a weirdo here.
>> Okay, the reason By the way, the reason why you need the cookies is these cookies are going to heal your daughter of cancer. I forgot to mention that.
They're magical cookies that heal your daughter of cancer. Yeah, yeah.
>> Well, if I were to cut it if that was the context, yeah. I mean, obviously I'd be like, "Hey, dude. I need these cookies to heal my daughter of cancer."
>> I go, "Listen, buddy. I'm not going to [ __ ] give I'm I'm here to give cookies to the Ukrainians. I'm not going to [ __ ] give cookies to uh to dogs."
>> Oh, I got you. So, it's like the whole like BS within the Bible where it's like, "Oh, you're a X Y and Z. You're not from Israel, so you're not like the children >> Well, God called uh uh there a Phoenician Canaanite woman a dog. So, that's what the I'm doing. So, I'm saying like if I called you a dog uh just because you were Russian or whatever, um you would find that me to be a jerk for that, you think?
>> Nah.
Well, I get called a dog a lot, so I'm used to it. But, >> doesn't make it right. I I that doesn't make it right. I don't think you are a dog. I mean, you are a little bit you have a bit of a weird personality, so I don't know. You might be a jerk, but I don't know you that well. So, as far as I can tell, um you're probably not a an A-hole or a jerk or whatever, but God is and Jesus is because he he's going around calling people dogs.
>> Hey, man. I'm not seeing him around here calling us dogs.
>> Currently, it's because he doesn't exist. But, we're we're talking about the uh story in the Bible. So, the God of the the Jesus character in the Bible, jerk. Are we agree Are we in agreement of this?
>> No.
>> Okay. So, I'm a jerk if I call you a dog, but Jesus isn't a jerk when he calls a Canaanite woman a dog?
>> No.
>> What's the difference? What's the symmetry breaker? To use some Filbro language, what's What's breaker?
>> Jesus died on the cross.
>> Oh, that that makes him a jerk, too.
For sure.
>> Yeah, what an [ __ ] >> Well, yeah. Now now, by the way, that that isn't enough of a symmetry breaker.
Like, just because I call you a dog and then like later on sacrifice myself for other people, you go, "Oh, that's forgivable."
Like, is that's how that works? Like, if you do something really really good, then all these >> a bad analogy. Can I use a bad analogy?
>> I did a horrible analogy. I'll I'll I'll I'll admit that. It was I mean, it I think it works, but it was it wasn't great. But, yeah, go on.
>> terrible.
So, if there's this dude, right?
>> Uh-huh.
>> And he spits on your face.
>> Yeah.
>> But, when you die, you're able to go to heaven.
Would you let him spit on your face?
>> If some dude spit on my face, but when I die, he I get to go to heaven?
>> Yeah.
>> Like, but the like him spitting on my face is like a prerequisite for going to heaven?
>> it it could or could not happen. Like, the guy's there, and you don't know if he's going to spit on your face. He's likely to, but when you die, you'll go to heaven.
Like, no matter what happens, when that guy dies ahead of you, you'll be able to go to heaven.
Would you care if the guy spit on your face? Or would you be like, "Oh, this guy's going to die."
>> Like, in light So, you're saying like all of the all the bad things that happen like in light of heaven, like, can I go to heaven without being spat on?
>> Yes.
>> Oh, well, then I think that like I still wouldn't want to be I wouldn't want to be spat on then.
>> Okay, but he spits on you. Are you are you going to get mad then?
>> My analogy was way better than this.
>> No, I mean, >> Your analogy My analogy was actually like almost one-for-one, and yours just like I don't even know what this is an an analogy for.
>> Yours is the cookies and drooling and Ukrainian war.
>> this means.
>> So, there's two scenarios. The person spits on you and the person does not spit on you. No matter what happens, the person who's going to spit or not spit on you will die and die for your sins.
Would the spitting on you matter or would dying for your sins matter more?
>> I I don't think the dying for my sins negates the jerk move of the spitting.
It's It's like It's like somebody like a rough person, but they have a heart of gold. They give a lot to hospitals or or charities or something like that. So, they're they're like They're like, "Uh [ __ ] you, John." Uh >> No, I got you.
>> but then they're they're they have they have a heart of gold. They do something You know that that trope? It's like that, but they're still behaving like a jerk. Like they're still treating people like a jerk. They're still causing stress and making people upset, but they are doing really really nice things. So, the question is like, at what point does the really nice thing that somebody does um like negate the jerk thing? And I think that those two things are like separate things. He called a woman a dog and treated her in a very like ethnocentric way. And uh that was harsh and that was rude. And just because he died to save everyone, that doesn't negate that behavior. That behavior was still jerk behavior. And I think that that's fair.
Like I think we can I think we can say that. I think we should say that.
>> That is a fair statement. Right? I'm saying this. The jerk behavior does not does not even come close to the weight of damnation.
>> So, >> of damnation is a lot heavier >> Now, this is This is where This is where you bringing up salvation doesn't help your case. That like cuz that's uh one of the reasons why I think he's a jerk.
Jesus is a jerk because damnation is a thing. Damnation didn't have to be a thing. Damnation was an elective that an infinite God decided on out of all the infinite infinite ideas that he could have done. He's like, "Let's do eternal conscious torment." What a [ __ ] jerk.
And then he's like, "What I'm going to do, check this out. What I'm going to do is I'm going to performatively get myself killed on Earth.
I'm going to try to convince the dumbest of these people that I had to do that.
And and I'm just going to gaslight them into believing that this is what love looks like.
And and then I'm going to send all the ones that don't buy this story to hell without giving them any [ __ ] evidence.
What a [ __ ] jerk. Like that is the epitome of jerk. The The calling a woman a dog is like nothing compared with the the jerk move of creating this system the way he did. He's a piece of garbage.
>> I disagree.
And I'd like to explain why.
>> Yeah, I would love to hear you explain why cuz I think I just like basically totally spanked Christianity out of existence.
I Well, I destroyed I I destroyed Christianity. You know, don't Don't take it as you. I'm destroying Christianity and you're not Christianity. You can dump it. So, you're you're allowed to be free from it. But I did I did destroy Christianity entirely.
>> That was a [ __ ] LMG gamer moment, you know. Just [ __ ] out here.
>> I don't know about that geek stuff. But now refute refute the incredible devastation of Christianity that I just did.
>> Well, your argument also points to free will.
The individual being able to choose God >> Oh, oh, my argument is pointing, but it can't really Like where's free will? Where I trying to point to it, but it can't find it.
>> [laughter] >> Okay, so let's say the compass is a little broken and we're not anywhere near a Christian nation.
We're living in let's say Tibet.
In the Bible it says individuals will be judged on their actions if they do not know God.
So, there's kind of this >> confused. I don't know what the [ __ ] you're talking to talking about when it comes to responding to what I said. So, what I said is that Jesus is a jerk because he gaslit everyone into believing that him dying was an act of love when it was an elective that he didn't have to do. So, it it it isn't love. Like, if you if you don't have to do it and it's performative, it's not love. It's It's trying to trick people into thinking that that had to happen.
So, um so, that's where I'm saying like like you have to sort of like speak to that and not just be like, "Well, free will something something Tibet." Like, that's not the answer. I don't know what the answer is, but I can't I Sometimes I'm I'm listening I go, "That's not the answer." You know what I mean? Like, that's how my mind works.
>> Well, that was the first part of your claim, but I'll go to the second part >> Yeah, go to the second one.
>> this being So, it's just it's breaking the fourth wall in a sense.
You're showing the audience that, "Hey, this perfect thing is dying and it's wrong."
It's as simple as that, but yet this thing did not fight back.
>> What's the thing?
>> as looking through the other door.
>> You know what? Do this. Do this, Foot.
Don't speak in sweet Like, I love the parables and and you and I get it because we understand parables. We used to be Christians, so we understand a thing called >> Word salad.
>> But, no nobody is following. So, just stop using the word salad. It's just annoying for them.
Cuz word salad is not scrumptious like you think.
Totally stinks.
That's a short song. It's over.
Stop scatting. It's over. It's over. Oh, sorry. Okay. So, let's just like speak to the actual like thing that I said. I was talking about Jesus and the sacrifice. Notice how I said the words that are the things that it represents.
Died on the cross, didn't have to, gaslighting theater. So, now you can be like, "Well, Jesus had to die on Christ." You know, say those types of words that so like everyone knows what you're talking about.
>> Yeah, so I'll dumb it down for you.
>> Yes. Yes.
>> to explain to audience.
>> Yes, please.
>> Did you catch it?
>> Oh, say it again.
>> Good thing die to explain to audience.
Good thing don't fight back.
>> Okay, good thing Jesus.
Good thing not fighting back against what?
>> Come on.
>> No, what good thing what good thing not fight against?
>> People.
>> So, good thing die for audience because people kill good things. So, good thing shows good thing doesn't fight back against people.
So, so what's how does that factor into the like necessity of it? Like it still is like, "Guys, look, I'm pathetic.
I'm not going to fight back.
>> Okay, I'm on >> Oh, no. I'm on a cross. Oh, >> [laughter] >> oh, no. I Notice I'm not fighting back. So, I don't fight back. So, So, now you guys know, I'm a good thing cuz I don't fight back.
Like what's what I don't get that?
>> Because Jesus could have just destroyed the the That's why.
>> yeah, yeah. But he didn't have to do that either.
He could have just By the way, I'm going to I'm going to see your destruction and I'm going to raise forgiveness. He could have just forgiven the whole world.
>> Why though? We're in free will.
>> How?
>> If you because like if you have the choice to like be like, "Oh, I'm just going to go to heaven no matter what." And then you're forced to be in heaven. That's the same as being forced to be alive. You can't >> tell universalists that. There's a lot of universalists who who actually believe that God negates free will by forcing everyone to be in heaven. That's the way they cope with the idea of hell.
No, no, but he could have just been like he could have been like this. "Hey guys, love you all. You've been bad, so I forgive you. Don't do it again and you don't get to come up to heaven right away, but you get to be in this other place that's not bad."
>> Purgatory.
>> Yeah, call it a purgatory, something like that. Hey amigo.
But you you see what I mean? Like you're giving this like harsh dichotomy. He could destroy everything.
Or he could bring you up to heaven when you don't even want to. It's against your free will.
Yeah, he could do like he could do that though. Like he could You could You could be You know what he could do? This is This is a good cuz he's like super powerful or whatever. He can do anything he wants. Now, this is one theory that I have and and this is not me just attacking you Foot, but I really want you to hear this and any of the other Christians in the audience. I really want you to hear this.
Christianity is a is a lack of imagination. So check out what I can do.
Now Christianity has dulled your imagination, but it hasn't dulled mine even though I was a Christian for many years.
>> scores for Christian nations, but go ahead.
Oh, check out the IQ Q scores for Christian nations, but go ahead.
>> Well, they might be smart academically, but they don't have a very good imaginations cuz check this out. God God [clears throat] could create uh, could could say to each individual person, be like, "Okay, um, after they die, if that's the cutoff, you could say, you guys didn't you didn't believe in me. Like, Joel, you didn't believe in me when I when you were alive.
Do you want to live in heaven? This is how what it is. Everyone worships me.
They all go holy, holy, holy all day.
And no crying, no bad feelings, just like holy, holy in some sort of like a trance type worship state. And I might be like, "I don't like you. Like, are you the guy in the Bible that all all the slavery, misogyny, all that stuff?
I don't like you. What's the other option?" He goes like this, "Well, the other option is that like I put you in a mental state where like everything's fine for you just the way you like it.
The relationships the relationships you like are there.
Um, the people that you like are there.
And you experience the rest of eternity in a This isn't word salad. This isn't word salad. Everybody understands what I'm talking about. You get to experience the rest of eternity in your preferred state, and it's not with me.
Why couldn't that be the case?
>> Um, because it's the case in heaven. You could have that in heaven. Heaven is beyond >> No, no, cuz heaven is a specific thing, right? So, people in heaven are worshipping God.
>> Yep.
>> And and so their experience is to worship God.
>> God.
I mean, we all worship God in the sense.
>> No, but they're they're worshipping God God, like Yahweh God, in heaven.
He's on a throne. There's crowns.
They've cast the crowns. They they're worshipping him. There's angels. They're you know, there's new bodies.
Right?
>> Yeah, no, I know what you're talking about.
>> Yeah. So, what I'm saying is that like what if the alternative to that was we will put you in a state of eternal bliss to your liking. I'm God, I know what you prefer, I know your wants and your likes. You will have those, it'll be enjoyable, but you just won't be in my presence cuz you didn't like me.
>> That's such a simple answer, dude. Can you stop with the word salad? It's just separation from God.
>> Yeah, there's still separation from God in my scenario, but you you're having a nice time.
>> God for bliss.
God would have to be present for you to have that.
>> Is that why like when I'm coming here on Earth, is God there?
>> Yes. He allowed you to come.
>> So God is like when I'm inside someone, I'm like inside God in a way.
>> Yeah, in a way.
God created both you guys and you guys are having a great experience.
>> So is God inside like if I was having like a threesome?
I don't know if you think is a threesome immoral?
>> Is a threesome immoral?
>> Yeah.
>> This is just taking it quick.
>> Is anal Is anal immoral?
>> Oh man, you're just >> No, no, this >> I as much as I want to have a good conversation with you >> is a serious question. This is a serious question. This is a serious question for Is anal immoral?
This is a serious question.
>> Is anal immoral? I mean in a sense it depends. I would say no most of the time, right?
>> Okay, so let's just imagine the the scenario in your mind where this particular thing is immoral, okay? That anal is immoral in whatever circumstance you think it's immoral. It doesn't matter to me what you think it is.
>> it gross.
>> My point is My point is if I'm experiencing bliss in that moment, is God there in that immoral act with me?
>> Well, the thing is pros and cons of everything, right?
If you are not This is going to sound It's going to sound so gross cuz we're talking about anal. If your anus is not >> that gross. You just have to like, you know, make sure you have >> Yeah, I know, but it's like if you're like let's say you're not prepped.
Like is it >> talking about like we're talking about like the best We're talking about anal in the best case scenario.
>> Yeah, right. Like this is weird.
>> [laughter] >> We're talking about best case. Like have you You've done a little bit of anal.
>> Yes, I have.
>> Yeah, so you like you've enjoyed You probably enjoyed it. You probably enjoyed it, right?
>> Joel, yes, I did. But let's end this topic.
>> God there? Was God there where two where the two of you were Okay, so God is sometimes >> I got to end this topic.
>> present during anal. What What What Why?
>> Because we're talking about anal, dude.
It wouldn't this gross tangent.
>> So So you understand what I'm getting at, though.
>> Yes, I do, but I would like to end this topic.
>> are things There are things where like you would say this is like an immoral thing or something that God wouldn't approve of. And And those things might even be like taking certain substances, right? Which Which give you a blissful experience.
And And you're saying God is in God is in m e t h? God God is in >> Pros and cons. Like we can talk about >> What are you What are you talking about the pros and cons?
>> What about Adderall?
>> What about the people that actually need m e t h who have ADHD or autism that need it to function?
>> Oh, like so so so correct dosages.
>> who have horrible like back pain who are unable to function might need those things, and that's called medical innovation. Anyways, host >> Okay, God is in God is in illicit God is in illicit Okay, you got Don't say all those words.
>> I'm ending the conversation.
I'm going to call you back the other day.
Have a good day.
>> All right. Bye-bye.
Well, that I guess that's our answer, you know, God is in all God is everywhere and as soon as you die you either go to full God or all have or no God and and I guess that's the system.
Seems made up to me.
