CONNECTICUT FORECAST: Morning - May 14Added:
All right, so we're talking yesterday that this is the umbrella day. Yesterday you could just walk fast to the car and it was done by lunch time.
>> Yeah, I when I left the work yesterday morning I was like, "Yeah, this is nothing." And that's exactly what >> Yesterday it wasn't too bad. The afternoon it's yeah, there's spots.
Yeah, a little little bit of sunshine.
>> sitting outside for lunch.
>> Yeah, it felt good. Today? Not so much.
I don't think the the the picnic tables over at a park for we're going to get any business.
>> a little soggy.
>> Maybe. So, but but boy do we have better days ahead. We'll talk about that.
>> forward to that.
>> Coming up.
Summer is back with a vengeance. Uh, let's go to the boards talk about anything but summer.
Uh, your temperatures today uh, yeah, that stinks.
59 today. That's it, really? 60 should be a dozen warmer warmer today. Okay, let's fix it, Matt.
Oh my.
Look at that.
Feast your eyes on that big 90 possibly for the middle of next week.
Here comes summer. 56° in the capital right now, 55 in Windsor and Windsor Locks and Glastonbury as we take you down to the shoreline. Couple more double nickels Hamden and East Haven, Durham, Chester, Old Saybrook, Bridgeport. I think I got them all.
Uh, temperature-wise, okay. It's fairly mild. With the thick clouds, it's fairly not going to move. A little bit of rain right now again, scattered showers approaching the the metro right now. Where you see the darker shades of green, a little bit more moderate activity over all the berries right now.
Pushing over into Plymouth, Wolcott, Waterbury, Naugatuck in the valley.
Again, manageable. We don't love it this time of day because you know, you want to get to work as easily work and school I should say as easily as possible. So, the rain may affect that a little bit.
This is all part of a slow-moving low that will doesn't look like much here, but it's going to pivot energy around it as especially this activity over Jersey starts to move up, that may clip the eastern part of the state with more moderate activity. We'll watch for that.
In the meantime, we're just calling it a cool, rainy Thursday with some showers this morning off and on throughout the mid-morning, but you see a couple of pockets of developing heavier activity.
We'll watch for that mainly in the afternoon into the evening. Watch the energy. You could clearly pick out the low's right about here and it'll kind of spin around some more shower activity into your Friday, but the good news is once it leaves tomorrow, it's gone for the weekend. The weekend starting to shape up as a really nice weekend with a lot of sunshine and some really warm temperatures. So, definitely weekend to get out and get summer stuff ready. If you haven't gotten your pool set up yet, you may have a couple of things on your to-do list this weekend. Rain off and on this morning, more on than off as we go through the afternoon into the evening.
Temperatures, as I mentioned, not moving much from where they are. Currently in the upper 50s to 60° generally across the board everywhere you look. Nobody's getting an advantage or a disadvantage for that matter. We'll do it again tonight into tomorrow down to 50 up to 60 tomorrow, but then we are off to the races with the temperatures. Upper 70s for Saturday, lower 80s Sunday, Monday, and do not adjust your TV sets.
88 for Tuesday, 90 for Wednesday, and I call attention to just one little word that you see on both those days.
Something that we really haven't talked about yet so far this year.
Humidity. Wow. It is definitely screaming summer, Erica. It sure is.
Well, I know Bridget and I are excited about that. Oh, yeah. Bring it on. Me, too. Me, too. Me, too. Don't leave me out.
>> [laughter]
