This educational video demonstrates how to classify animals based on their physical characteristics and habitats, using a corn snake as an example. The presenter explains that corn snakes are named after their habitat (corn fields) and are constrictors that primarily eat mice and rodents, with occasional fish consumption. The interactive format engages young audiences through guessing games and hands-on animal demonstrations, teaching basic zoological concepts about animal classification, diet, and habitat.

Adelie, put your hand up.
>> Sorry.
>> Adelie, put your hand up. You want a high five, Adelie?
Adelie, your other hand. Adelie, your other hand. Adelie, your other hand.
>> Well, I am not talking about you cute and fluffy animals like rats you can find over by the chip van. I am talking about animals that don't have any legs.
Who likes those types of animals?
Ooh, what about animals that make creepy crawly legs? Who likes them?
What about ANIMALS THAT CAN BITE YOUR FACE OFF AND YOU DIE?
THAT'S I'LL MAKE IT A >> [laughter] >> THAT'S VERY DO YOU RECKON?
I can't hear you. I said is it boys or girls?
ALL RIGHT, BOYS, HANDS IN the air if you're the bravest. Perfect. Girls, hands in the air if you smell. Oh, that's awkward.
All you've got to do is put your hands in the air as quick as you possibly can.
Oh, not yet, chitty pants, after three.
Are you ready? Fingers like this. Are you ready?
No, it's not a massive shark. Okay, then. Massive animal in my hand all the way from Madagascar. What do you think this could actually be? SHOUT OUT WHAT YOU RECKON.
>> [screaming] >> ADELIE, WHAT DO YOU THINK IT IS?
>> A LOT OF high expectation coming out, isn't there? Not a lion. No.
No, there is something here. Otherwise, it wouldn't be a terrifying animal show.
What is it?
It's not a snake. Not a bear yet. Tiny bit sluggish. What else could it be?
What do you reckon?
Not a spider because I am not stupid.
Okay, an ant. Not an ant. No, no. Last guess.
Okay. what?
It's not an earthworm, no, cuz that would have had to have a passport to get here. This is a giant Madagascan hissing cockroach. And I'm not going to lie, I didn't even bring this with me. I actually found it over there by the burger van, which is interesting if you think about it. Now, this is a corn snake.
>> [screaming] >> Okay, dokey. Hello, snakey. Should we go and say hello to everybody?
Everybody say hello to Prince Harry. Yes, this is our ginger snake, which I thought the name was fairly fitting, let's be honest. And it's a beautiful corn snake.
Now, this guy here is called a corn snake because he lives in a corn field.
And corn fields are called corn fields because they grow corn. That's why it's called a corn snake. So, that begs the question, doesn't it? If this guy here is called a corn snake that lives in a corn field that grows corn, what's the corn snake that lives in a corn field that grows corn eat for dinner?
No, mice, but good try. This here eats mice, rodents. and also can eat fish and very, very rarely. Now, this animal is a constrictor. Does anybody here know what the word constrictor means? It's a big word.
>> I know what what she got.
Oh, look at my computer.
>> [laughter] >> Thank you very much.
You guys have been amazing for me tonight.
I hope you're enjoying the show.
All right, balloons and beans, before I do go, I've got one more song left to sing to you, and it is everybody's favorite. So, for this one, I going to see more people do Ah.
>> [music] [music] [music and singing] [music and singing] [music] >> I do. I do.
They've got dribblers. Look he's gray.
I do. Good boy.
I didn't know you could do that.
Hi I do.
Bye I do. Bye I do. Bye.
Look. Look. Look.
>> [laughter] >> See I told you.
>> Oh my gosh.
>> [music] [music] [music] >> He's going to give it here. He's second half again.
Adel, is that you doing that?
Wow.
Yes, Adel.
Adel, look at him.
Well done, Adel.
