MASSIVE Pancake Challenge at Squeeze IN Las Vegas!

[00:00:00]Three massive mountains of pancakes. I now understand why this challenge has never been defeated before. Today we're at Squeeze In. This is a well-known restaurant in Las Vegas. They're famous for their unbelievably fantastic omelets and also for their very long poured bloody mary. This thing is massive. Look how big this is.

[00:00:24]>> This is Trump Bloody Mary. This challenge requires two top pros to be on top of their game to even have a chance of finishing it. Luckily, I'm with the eighth ranked eater in the world, Heavy D. Three, two, one, let's go.

[00:00:40]We got these giants pancakes. They didn't have a tray big enough for everybody. So, this is the challenge.

[00:00:46]All these things we have to got to eat them all.

[00:01:41]>> You can't see the walnuts, but they're in there.

[00:01:57]>> These are easily the best pancakes I've had in Vegas.

[00:02:06]>> That stacks and yolks challenge was horrible. Probably one of the worst challenges I ever did. The owner made the pancake so big it was just not fun at all.

[00:02:31]>> See, the last time we ate together, we were in Scottdale, Arizona. Cold beers and cheeseburgers. And you ate what? A three lb burger in 3 minutes. And we got me to the airport with 18 minutes to spare, which is the real challenge.

[00:02:45]>> That was Yeah, >> that was crazy. wonderful pizza place held up to their end of the agreement.

[00:02:58]>> We had a challenge fall through. We had to wait for the owner to get there and he was always like 10 minutes away.

[00:03:31]>> These are good, but it says how thick they are. If you can't see the walnuts, you you can't even as you're cutting, you don't see them.

[00:03:40]>> Celebrity appearance by Kevin Ross. I always >> like, you know, No, we were supposed to do it from 3:00 to 6:00, which is why I thought I could hang out. And then they sent me an email yesterday. They go, "Oh, we're meeting at 6:30." I'm like, "Yeah, lame."

[00:03:58]>> By the way, you're at the exact time to do the um hot dog.

[00:04:04]>> I thought Bob could rush out probably.

[00:04:06]>> Nothing.

[00:04:09]>> What's this? It's a 18 inch foot long.

[00:04:16]Not too big. It's kind of chili. I think it's a foot long hot dog and then they do like pulled pork.

[00:04:24]Uh >> deep fried pork belly some stuff on it.

[00:04:28]And if you eat it in 3 minutes, they'll give you $40,000.

[00:04:31]>> Kevin Ross, another eater, came out to support us. He's watching. Now, these pancakes are absolutely massive. It's hard to say how they stack up versus stacks and yolks, but I don't think each stack is that much less. It's just luckily they're very tasty.

[00:04:52]>> I'm going to do it eventually, but I was going for the 400 cuz I didn't think it for three minutes.

[00:05:35]So far so good with these pancakes. I am really enjoying them. I don't eat pancakes in my personal life after that stacks and yolks experience. It was just it turned me off, but they were just the most plain generic pancakes ever. These things are far from it. It's banana walnut. It's got the bananas on top.

[00:05:54]They don't have that many bananas though, but there are a ton of walnuts.

[00:05:58]And there's uh I guess like some butter in between here. So there's some good flavoring. And I actually might go back to eating pancakes. I mean, this has been a couple of years since I filmed this and I I actually really didn't go back because I don't want to take a chance unless there's some good pancakes. Now, there was some personal conversation that went on here with Derek and I didn't know if he wanted to share that or not. So, I'm doing a voice over over that part, but I'm going to try to play as much as possible to show you how this went down. Look, we're already 6 minutes in and I'm not even like a third of the first stack of pancakes. There are just so many pancakes here.

[00:06:38]>> My mom would go to my contest and as soon as it started, she would turn around and not look.

[00:06:50]>> She was afraid something would happen to me.

[00:06:58]>> I like the video you posted the other day on Facebook of you eating wings with your son. I thought that was pretty funny.

[00:07:03]>> You're going to have to start the mom bang series cuz it seems like every place goes it's like just by happen stance.

[00:07:08]>> Oh, it's not you have >> I can't believe when >> like when I go to link like on Facebook look them up >> the clothes. I went through a streak of about 2 years where restaurants I would go to they would file for bankruptcy or close before I could even post the video. So, this wings with my son was what Derek was talking about business before I could even post two weeks later.

[00:10:25]>> It was amazing how many >> foreigners served us. Like me really had a British accent on on the waiters and waitresses like, "Oh, I just came here from Italy.

[00:10:54]>> Okay. A lot of lot of foreigners, >> but I think it's cuz like they're insane. They get housing assistance.

[00:11:04]>> It's like based on where you're coming from, what you do, candle help you like buy your first.

[00:11:23]That must uh annoy the locals if they're not getting not the happiest bill.

[00:11:33]>> I know the housing place in Canada. It's like a million dollars.

[00:11:36]>> Just normally like not anything like >> you know you go there you see a home like it's a million dollar like giant home. It's like we're in like a normal neighborhood. How much is a million plus? And I'm like, >> I saw some show.

[00:11:55]I'm the sweatiest competitive eater. The two of a line. It >> It's a The heat will eventually get to me.

[00:12:02]>> It's all show like apparently there's a lot of speculation from foreign money.

[00:14:09]I've only met him like three times, but he's funny.

[00:14:23]>> I remember kind of early on he was saying he was in his 60s like from, you know, from me meeting them. You're like aging yourself. You're like, I started here and I'm here and >> [ __ ] He's got to be >> and the stuff he the stuff he comes up with.

[00:15:22]>> We're being chilled today. So, we're doing this big burger.

[00:15:26]>> He like butter so much. It's like, "Oh, put two sticks of butter inside the inside every burger." I put two sticks of butter in my burger. But he did.

[00:15:33]Every burger got like a half pound of butter inside it.

[00:15:36]>> You say with a fever?

[00:15:37]>> Yeah.

[00:15:38]>> Jesus Christ.

[00:15:39]>> It was for the contest, but I'm like, you're I changed everyone's contest food here.

[00:15:46]>> I know. Someone went out with him to eat >> and he just had like a ding of butter.

[00:15:58]So, >> this is an older eater. The guy Oops.

[00:16:09]>> He's like very very strict. Like he was wearing those pedometers way back. They didn't get his steps. He would just be like walking circles while he's waiting.

[00:16:20]It's obviously worse because he eats.

[00:16:24]>> He eats more than you know.

[00:16:26]>> When I was first starting, >> it took me a while to beat him and he was in his 60s. I was in my 40s.

[00:16:40]>> Well, I got his >> but I think his limit was >> like whatever he normally eat in a buffet.

[00:16:50]He never trained >> like to like he would just eat more to train.

[00:16:55]>> He didn't do other training stuff.

[00:17:02]>> Rich was a very interesting fellow. Him and his wife Carlen, they were competitive eaters. Uh early on in my eating career, they had been traveling around uh just doing crazy eating stunts for decades. By the time I met Rich, he was probably in his late 50s uh to his early 60s. I competed against him. And he was a very good competitive eater, believe it or not. As thin as could be, was always in great shape, but just could eat crazy amounts of food. And he could do it on the normal. So, he could just go to a buffet and just absolutely kill it. And then he wouldn't eat for a couple of days. I guess he was a very good uh eater. And I was very happy to see him and his wife Carlen. They came to the Wing Bowl uh earlier this year in Vegas.

[00:20:06]>> How is he going to fit this cut in his mouth?

[00:20:08]>> I got to upstage you. I guess I got some bananas down there. We got to leave no doubt.

[00:21:03]>> I'm like blunt force trauma, right? Like Brent, he he's like, "You're from Wisconsin. You're like a blueco collar guy." Like you guys just hand in the dirt hard work where he's like, "Why wouldn't you do this? Why wouldn't you, you know, like when you were talking about squishing the hot dog?" Like that hadn't even occurred to me until Brett's like, "I would probably squish you with my hand." His mom. I'm like, "I just eat them. Not even squish them." And then you're like, "Yeah, I wouldn't squish him either, but it's probably the right move. I might move him." But yeah, >> I I've never tried it.

[00:21:34]>> But I mean, Joey >> Joey has said he likes it a lot >> cuz you can get a better rhythm than like, you know, late in the contest, you're trying to dunk, manage the dunk, coming back and you're not in that fast out of the gate rhythm. So it's like at the end it's kind of like eating any other food like >> water cup and hand.

[00:22:07]>> The birthday stack. I mean, that's that's what I like talking to Adder about cuz he Instagram. He's up to like 60,000 and all he does is like post those like, "Hey, could you eat this type of stuff?" and he's gotten to like 60,000 because that's the weird part like the followers varied. Like I had that uh Fat Boys pizza slice got like 4,000 followers on it. I've had other videos hit like 3 million 10 million 20 followers. So it's like >> it's like that flick by content versus like more engaged content. But you get the views, you get the >> the data, right? You know, >> it helps cuz well people I think a lot of people will see how many followers you have.

[00:24:15]But I don't think I know how to do anything.

[00:24:18]I just listen to what every single person says. Sometimes a component seems logical. Then I try that.

He's like cuz he was saying something Joey if you came out and said that you drink aloe vera cuz he does drink aloe vera and try to like I said if you posted that you drink aloe vera after you would triple that company sales cuz every [ __ ] company here we try and he goes yeah like Jaws recent everyone buys cuz I do it. He's like I use it but he's like it's just to stay in shape. It's not like it's actually doing anything I don't think. And I'm like exactly what you're saying right?

[00:25:50]>> I think in contests like hot dogs, your jaw is very important.

[00:25:59]>> But a lot of contests the jaw is not even involved. like >> but I know if I'm going to do a a tour or something >> like I I worked it out for like two weeks before I went to Europe >> and I didn't do anything in Europe. I didn't continue to do it.

[00:26:38]>> I'm not sure these pancakes are going anywhere. The more I eat, I think the more we have left, I don't know how that works actually, but that's the way it seems like it's going right now.

[00:26:48]Luckily, at this point, the food still tastes good. Although that diet coke is very refreshing.

[00:29:10]>> Oh yeah. Um >> just like a bigger glass of it or something. A diet coke. No, just a diet coke. Just just a glass because I'm going to go through mine too. Not the actual bloody mary, just bigger consumption. Trying to watch out for us.

[00:30:16]We still have a ways to go. I think at this point we have a decent shot of getting it down. I just don't want to rush this quicker than I have to. Uh pancakes are very easy to eat. But we are, believe it or not, this is early in the day. At night, we're going to attempt to film another challenge, which was the tacos challenge. I believe I released last week on this channel. So, if you hung out this far in the video, this is what we did earlier in the day.

We have to keep it in that certain price point, so we'll just remove product out. So, we're not adjusting." Like, that's their whole month.
