What If a REAL Tsunami Hits During the Alaska Alarm Test?

[00:00:00]I live on an island off the coast of Alaska, and every week we do a tsunami alarm test that sounds a little bit like this.

[00:00:11]Well, this exact situation actually happened. It was routine alarm test day, and it went off as normal. We did notice it was a bit earlier than its normal scheduled time. What really stood out to us though was how long it went on. It was way longer than normal.

[00:00:25]We quickly realized this was the real deal, and a real tsunami was headed our way. We headed to our local safe zone on the island, and luckily within a few hours we realized the tsunami was not going to hit us. I guess it's good we know exactly what to do now.
