Why Was He SOOOOO Intoxicated With Her?

[00:00:00]So, I'd seen him, but I didn't ever like talk to him. Um, so that day we just started talking and then every time I saw him in the hallway after that, and it was always hit or miss. Like, it wasn't an everyday thing. It was just when I saw him, we just started talking and we just kind of had a lot in common and just hit it off. So, we'd always have, you know, pretty good conversations. And then I don't know, one day he just he he told me that he had kids and started talking about his kids and then mentioned yes that I have a wife, but we're getting separated.

[00:00:32]Like the last Today has been the whirlwind from like yesterday I thought she was just at somebody's house and today with the drones, the police and the news I look like a scene out of scene out of a movie that's too much.

[00:00:51]It's too much for one person.

[00:00:54]>> Thursday, July 19th, 8 years ago today was a Thursday. It was also it was also leading into the weekend. Chris Watts had four precious weekends in July when he had the space to conduct the affair.

[00:01:12]Four weekends. He had to make each one count because they might be his last with his mistress. I got nightmares in my head. I feel my mind feels like a creature. It haunts me so much.

[00:01:41]Now, one thing about an affair, if you want to compare, and it might be unfair to compare, but one thing about an affair and a marriage is what an affair can bring to a person's experience, I guess, is sexual dynamite. And it does that through novelty. Even if you are extremely sexually compatible with a person, if you've been them with them for a year, two years, three years, four years, whatever, um what a a brand new person brings to the table is novelty.

[00:02:17]And and um you can never underestimate the power of novelty. And that's exactly what Chris Waters experiences, not only novelty, but it's the taboo factor, you know, because he's not supposed to be doing what he's doing. And so it's also it's an illicit affair. It's what makes it even more illicit and even more taboo is he's having this affair while his wife is pregnant. He's not supposed to be doing this. He's not allowed to be doing this. And so I guess in a way that fertiveness makes it to some extent more exciting.

[00:02:51]I'm not saying it's right, but it may add to the excitement value. Now, of course, if you are the other person in this dynamic, if you are the other person, basically, not not the other woman, but if you are the person being cheated on and you married, then it's very unfair. It's very unfair that someone has gotten used to you and they are looking for excitement outside of the marriage. Obviously, what a marriage provides is stability, comfort, you know, familiarity. you know someone very well but of course those things can count against you if someone is getting bored in a marriage or feeling to some extent the humrum of marriage. The other thing that is very unusual about this is one minute Chris Watts is married and he's been in a marriage was it eight years but anyway quite a long time and then the next thing he has unfeted access to his mistress. His wife is not only absent not just for a weekend but for five weeks on end. And you can imagine once they start sleeping together, they probably are sleeping together every single night on and on and on and eventually they are becoming very familiar with one another. And in a way that's enough time in a way for a new dynamic to emerge where it almost feels like he's in a brand new relationship and the the relationship that's that's foreign or the relationship that's not familiar to him is his own marriage. Does that make sense? Now, I'm not saying that's reasonable or right. I'm simply saying this seems to be what is going on. This this is what this illicit, taboo, improper, inappropriate relationship felt like. Anyway, let's go to the phone data review for July 19th. As I say, it was a Thursday. Watch called Shannan presumably just prior to leaving for work. And that happened at 5:34 hours.

[00:04:53]what's called Shenan and held a nearly 10-minute conversation. Then around about 5 hours later, what's called an unidentified contact, no name, no number, and held a 7-minute conversation. And then also unusually at 2035, Watts logged onto Facebook. Now, one's got to wonder first of all, who was this unidentified contact? And also did watch log on to Facebook because of what the contact said because of what Kessinger said. Was this also another aftere effect of Nutgate? Or I suppose what it could also be have been is Shannan may have told him I need you to do some kind of provide some endorsement of Thrive. Can you speak to this friend of mine? Can you speak to this new person that I've met? And that's why it's an unidentified contact. and can you sort of go live on Facebook in order to to market that right now? Bear in mind, Watts would later on delete his Facebook. Remember, his parents had already um blocked Shannan on Facebook, but at this point, Facebook was still in the running. You know, it was still something that that Shannan and her husband were were using, right? But it's it's entirely possible that Watts was when he logged onto Facebook, was he reviewing what Shannan had said to his parents? Were they still talking to him about those comments? It could also be that he was doing a combination of things. He was doing what Shannan wanted him to do, some kind of Thrive spiel, and then as part of that, he also went onto Facebook. Right now, it's unfortunate during those several hours that Watts was interrogated, he wasn't specifically shown the phone data review and asked to explain and whether he could recall some of these interactions.

[00:06:42]You know, what was discussed in those numerous conversations between him and his wife? And then also, who was this unidentified contact? Was this unidentified contact perhaps a friend of Kessengers or was it someone completely different? And there there was even speculation, you may remember very early on there was speculation that Chris Watts was having an affair with another brunette, someone who called herself Amanda McMahon and I think she was even interviewed. And today it seems as though that wasn't the case. But early on it seemed as though Watts may have been having numerous affairs, right? And then remember there was also that guy Trent Bolt who said that Watts had befriended him. And so in the beginning it seemed like Watts was this sort of very sexually um active male that was sort of having sex seemingly with everyone and then it turned out that that wasn't the case. But I suppose it is possible that he may have been having an affair with someone besides Kessinger. I just find that unlikely simply because I believe that he was in love with her and I believe that she was in love with him and so that makes me think that he wasn't. that this particular contact, this particular call that he made is possibly someone that he was having an affair with. How possible?

[00:08:03]I think it's possible, but not very probable. I think it's not very likely, right? And so, this is where we are. By the way, Chris Watts on the 20th went on to Snapchat as well. That's the very next day. And so, one's got to wonder what was that about. Anyway, I'm not going to take it further than that. I am a little bit concerned about the low view counts for this series. So, if they remain low, I probably won't be continuing the series. Of course, if you like and share, if you share this on your social media and the view count goes up, then we can definitely continue with this series, but if it's going to continue with these very low view counts, I'm not sure if it's worth doing.
