No, he came out a while now, a few minutes or whatever the case may be, that the details surrounding Latoya Bulgin's chopping everybody is that she was dropped and she was shot in the face.

That is the headline, okay? Today's kindness Wednesday's. So, we will get into the reports right now where that is concerned people. Everybody where the talk about it coming up right now. So, it is no surprise that many Jamaican people are not in the mood of what recently happened. They're not supporting the recent action by the member of the constabulary force and they're saying that this action is one that will now have to warrant the Prime Minister to come out and speak about it, okay? Mhm.
>> [clears throat] >> So, my people, we will now get into the meat of the matter because we know now already I say me talk too much, all right? So, one of you people like the video, subscribe to the channel and hit that post notification bell so whenever Virtual TV drops content, you will be notified instantly, all right? Today's kindness Wednesday's. Remember, show some kindness everybody. Show some kindness. You know get your blessing from man, you get it from God. You understand? Like the video, subscribe to the channel, and now let's go. No, this newspaper makes no judgement on the guilt or otherwise of the policeman who fired the fatal shot in Granville, St. James on Sunday. However, even as Jamaican Jamaicans lament the chopping of Miss Latoya Buju Bolting and her treatment immediately after being hit by a single bullet, consequences beyond legal considerations seem inevitable.
Okay? Yes. No, I gave you a report about Isaac Buchanan on Virtual TV Entertainment everybody saying that the actions by the police force now in this situation warrants for them to get a lawyer because according to what being said, it is not enough.
It is not enough is what they're saying.
And why they're saying it is not enough will be because that the interdiction of the officer, which finds him removed from duty, is not nowhere near the consequences that Jamaican people want to see. None of that.
None at all. They're not They're saying that that is not enough. He You know, this is the same song and dance of every situation. The same song and dance with the You know, the the previous engagement when officers commit certain acts that are deemed illegal and um you know, um what they call, of course, rogue rogue actions, all right? It is not enough is what they're saying. Because, guess what? This situation, they're saying, needs better better um you know, consequences and better situations which reflect that Jamaicans do not support situations like these, and he must be made an example out of.
Now, a widely circulating video, caught on a closer television camera, showed the woman interacting with the police before being shot while sitting behind the wheel of a vehicle. Now, we presume that the lawman fired because he thought he was in danger of being run over by the car, which was slowly moving towards him.
Mhm.
But, many people say otherwise.
Many persons are saying otherwise.
It never looked that way there. It never looked like he didn't know immediate danger. It never warranted the drawing weapon, and only that factor, but the factors when that them deal with her like a dog after foot wheel. Foot wheel and pull her out like that. Foot wheel.
You understand? But anyway, let us move on everybody.
See him? Because many persons are now saying that this is self-defense. Now, in the immediate aftermath came the image of Miss Bulgin now yet pronounced being dragged under um well, being dragged into the cargo bed of a marked police pickup which then sped away. Now, going back as far as any of us can remember, Jamaicans have heard allegations of police showing total disrespect in handling those dropped or alive following alleged violent confrontations. The incident in Grand Pen on Sunday as captured on camera appear to be um irrefutable evidence of a shooting victim, a woman being handled inhumanely as horrible traumatized residents look on. Okay?
Yeah. And it is funny enough because as I stated earlier a while ago that this situation sparks numerous amount of times as what it appears to me that many persons, right? Many persons cannot come to, you know, what's perceived as officers going rogue and committing acts of violence like these, right? So, this definitely is one of the ones that many persons are now calling for immediate justice. And right now, swiftly that should be done, right? Anyway, um we'll move on with the people. The the ensuing public outrage is entirely predictable and justified in our view.
We are at one we are at one with Jamaica umbrella group of churches that what the footage appears to show is not merely a procedural failure. It is the dis- the well, the disrespect and disgrace, right? No human being made in the image of God should ever be humbled in that manner, right? No, nor can we argue that the Watchman Church Leaders Alliance as reported by the Gleener newspaper that it was difficult not to view the incident as evidence of impunity at the work of the frightening. No, well, at the word that this is frightening. For sure, the incident has added great energy to ongoing demands for use of body worn cameras by police personnels. We believe it necessary to reiterate our support of calls from various groups for Prime Minister Andrew Holness to speak clearly on this issue.
Such a statement takes on added urgency given the public stance taken by the National Security Minister Dr. Horace Chang that body worn cameras are are hindrance rather than practical tools for the police in high-risk operations.
As had been widely reported, Dr. Chang was rejected by various interested parties, not least the highly respected former Deputy Commissioner of Police Mark Shields, now a leading security consultant. Now, perhaps the most important gain by the Jamaica society in recent times has been the dramatic decline in crime, more especially murders. However, it's However, it's no secret that the extraordinary sharp rise in police fatal shootings over the same period has been eroding trust in the security forces. This needs to be addressed quickly by the Prime Minister Andrew Holness. Let's put it on the record. Big up.
