The End of the Third American Republic: A Conversation With A Leading Catholic Philosopher

[00:00:09]Alhamdulillah. We have a special guest here in Rabbat. Uh renowned uh Catholic scholar and philosopher uh Dr. E.

[00:00:20]Michael Jones has uh graciously taken me up on my offer to visit uh uh Ribbat when uh we had our uh conversation, friendly and unstructured conversation about what about about a month ago or so.

[00:00:34]>> Yes. Uh, and so I was gone to the Philippines for quite some time and uh I I just got back not not too long ago and uh um he was kind enough to drive over with his uh lovely wife uh and uh hopefully a couple of friends that will be joining us um in order to uh progress our conversation. He also brought me this wonderful gift uh a book of his called Walking with a Bible uh and a gun uh the rise fall and return of American identity. So I'm uh interested in uh in reading it if uh you know it's as interesting as uh our verbal discussion was. I'm sure it's going to be really interesting read. So please feel free to talk about your book and to say whatever you like. Uh you know the next hour is yours. If you want, you can talk through it if you want. We can have a conversation, but uh we're really happy that you're here and uh welcome you great, you know, uh warmly and hope that you enjoy the tea that the brothers brought for your uh in honor of your visit.

[00:01:39]>> Yeah.

[00:01:40]>> Thank you. Well, let's have a conversation. I mean, it's we're here in the same rooms here. Normally, you don't talk to people in the same room anymore.

[00:01:47]You talk you talk to a screen.

[00:01:49]>> So, uh let's take advantage of the fact that we're both in sitting on the same sofa. Absolutely.

[00:01:56]>> I am in the middle of a project here.

[00:01:59]Um, we are at the end of the third republic in America. We have re republic the cycles of history last 80 years. The first republic began in 1891 with the creation of the constitution. It lasted till 1861 with the civil war. There were institutions that began America that did not pass into the second republic. The main one was slavery, states rights, things like that. Second republic began in 1865 uh with the end of the civil war, lasted for 80 years to 1945 with the end of World War II. World Wars have a way of ending the republic. And at this point, we began the third republic and I was born um three years later. So my personal history is in many ways the history of the third republic. Uh so it began with uh institutions like um the United Nations was created at the beginning of the third republic. Uh stories, narratives or myths if you want to call them like the Holocaust began at that point after World War II. And what happened was also social engineering which most people don't talk about. Uh I was in my mother's womb when the Kinsey report came out. Uh Indiana entomologist bug doctor became an expert on sexuality and launched the sexual revolution which in many ways wrecked my generation destroyed my generation. Uh after that we had in Chicago every big city in the north you had the manipulation of housing. Uh so what happened in Chicago is large numbers of black people were brought up from Mississippi where they picked cotton and they were put into the factories here and they displaced the Catholic population on the south side of Chicago. They took over the south side of Chicago. So these are the two forces that pretty much uh uh formed my life and my generation and the third republic.

[00:04:00]>> Was your family in Chicago before uh you know like before? No, my father my family we grew up in Phil I grew up in Philadelphia. My grandfather was born in Ireland. Uh he moved to Philadelphia. He had six children. Uh all of he married another Irish woman.

[00:04:19]Uh all of his children married Catholics but only one married an Irishman. So this is a theory of identity here of ethnic identity is called the triple melting pot >> which is basically no matter where you come from after three generations you lose the language of your grandfather and you be but you retain his religion >> and so we have three ethnic groups based on three religions Protestant Catholic Jew >> very similar to Yugoslavia which doesn't exist anymore where they have three religions >> Croat ser Muslim uh which also served as the three ethnic groups. So, uh I grew up at this time, you know, went through a lot of I just wrote my autobiography.

[00:05:03]I'm 78 years old. I'm going to write my autobiography.

[00:05:06]>> So, I go into detail in that in that book. But [snorts] we are now at the end of that that republic and there are things that we thought would last forever that are going to pass away.

[00:05:17]Sears Robuck. Do you remember Sears Ro?

[00:05:19]>> I totally remember Sears Robuck.

[00:05:21]>> Well, it doesn't exist anymore >> to be honest with you. the Sears Tower.

[00:05:24]It's right here in town and it has a different name and I just always forget the name and whenever someone brings it up I resent it. I said, "No, it's the Sears Tower. Stop calling it that."

[00:05:31]>> Right. So, and the Sears Sears would be in a mall. It would be the cornerstone of the mall. That's what brought the people to the mall. And now the malls are obsolete. They're obsolete form of retail technology replaced by Amazon >> uh delivery military technology. The aircraft carrier and the tank won World War II and now we're realizing that they are obsolete.

[00:05:54]>> Absolutely.

[00:05:55]>> Obsolete. And what we're seeing now is a tr a world transformation where uh the one another casualty is going to be the American empire. The American empire is dying.

[00:06:08]Uh I never profited from the American empire. Uh we I just gave a speech in in middle of Indiana. Indiana is a conquered province of the American Empire. The money gets sucked out of Indiana. There's no retail. There are no jobs. There are people just left behind to fuel Wall Street and to fuel the to fuel the war machine. So, this moment is Kevin Barrett's a Muslim. I met him in uh I met him in Tehran. is Sunni. Uh but we met in in Tehran and he just wrote an article talking about um Iran will now he's saying that they're going to win the war in the I think that's true. I think that they become the become the hegeimon of West West Asia now. The the Gulf states will have to accept them as their ruler because the Americans can't defend them anymore. Okay. He's saying now that the Iran will become the leader of the Ummah.

[00:07:14]I don't think that's going to happen. I don't think that's going to happen. The Shia are 10% of the Muslim population.

[00:07:23]They are not going to impose their will on 90% of the Muslim population. I don't think that's going to happen. So, something else is going to happen. I think that the the the image that comes to my mind is Germany at the end of the 19th century. Prussia established hegemony. They unified Germany under protestant Prussian leadership.

[00:07:49]Immediately got into a problem with the Catholics. There were a lot of Catholics there. So they just said, "Well, we'll crush the Catholics." Bismar said, you get a speech called the famous for he says, "Blute and Isaac Blood and iron will determine the future, not discussions. I think that's what's going to happen in the Gulf. Blood, the drones and missiles are going to determine the future there. It's going to be a battle. I think that I God has chosen Iran to punish Israel.

[00:08:28]God has chosen Iran to free us from the yoke of Jewish tyranny which we cannot free ourselves from. And I'm saying that Iran has played a role in salvation history long before uh there was an Islam. When Cyrus the Great sent the Hebrews back, liberated them from Hebrew captivity, sent them back to Jerusalem, he was doing God's will. The punishment that the the Hebrew children deserve because of their wickedness lasted 70 years and it was lifted and he said go back and rebuild the temple.

[00:09:04]When Julian the apostate was going became Roman emperor and he was going to destroy Christianity. He connived with the Jews to rebuild the temple. That didn't work out. And then he came and he tried to conquer Persia.

[00:09:22]And Shapar II saved Christianity from extinction. The Persian emperor be by by defeating Julian the apostate. This is my son. My son, your son, [laughter] Nick Chappelle.

[00:09:39]>> Nick Chappelle. Nice >> to meet you. Good.

[00:09:41]>> Chicago guy, >> former cop.

[00:09:45]Yeah, you can feel secure with this man around.

[00:09:48]>> Excellent. Wonderful.

[00:09:49]>> So, so >> wherever you like, wherever you're comfortable.

[00:09:52]>> So, this is th this I think this is the moment in history. This is the geo a turning point in history. And I think that we should work together.

[00:10:04]>> Sure.

[00:10:04]>> Because f first of all, it's a polit I'm proposing a political alliance. All you need for a political alliance is a common enemy.

[00:10:14]And I I think we have a common enemy.

[00:10:18]>> I don't think you're going to argue with me.

[00:10:20]>> No, no, no. I I don't think I don't think anyone in their [clears throat] right mind have any decency inside of them should argue. I think there's a lot of a lot of analysis about the other side of the world that I probably I feel like we probably would have uh a lot of disagreement about. But I think in in general, this idea about uh three republics, it seems pretty pretty sound to me. It seems like all a lot of ideas that seemed like really um like no-brainers uh that maybe people may have even disagreed with before 2019, but thought, you know, we've lost that battle and have kind of written them off. I think they're kind of up for debate again.

[00:10:59]>> And uh I do agree. I I personally, you know, just to be frank, in the interest of time, I I think perhaps in my opinion, you exaggerate a little bit the role of Iran in all of this. I think if anything, the people of Gaza are the ones who um are the ones who deserve the credit for uh identifying the the crack and the armor of of this beast and uh really pouring their own lives into it in order to expose it and show the world where it is. And now other, you know, the other nations have a I guess a path forward to to to getting out of the mess that we're in, whereas before they didn't really see what that path was. Um >> Iran has always stood by Gaza. They've always stood by the Palestinians.

[00:11:41]>> Yeah. I you know I I I I personally again I think it's that role is a bit exaggerated but I don't think quantitatively speaking but I think that qualitatively you're right they they uh never uh you know they never at least openly uh uh had forsaken that uh you know forsaken that cause and I think the the whole Muslim world even like in Turkey have like some people are acrid secularists but uh uh they >> Turkey is [clears throat] a complete mystery to me. I don't understand Turkey at all.

[00:12:10]>> It's >> I understand the Ottoman Empire. The when I say if I talk to my Eastern European friends and I say Muslim, they immediately think of Turks.

[00:12:18]>> Yeah.

[00:12:18]>> And they immediately think of them marching up and attacking Vienna.

[00:12:22]>> Well, you know, there's a little bit of that as well, but uh you know, there are a lot of secular Turks that actually end up remembering their Ottoman uh sentiments when they talk about Palestine. Um and uh you know it's a long it's a long discussion something that hopefully you know we'll be able to engage in uh if you have time but uh Iran is a module of the Persian civilization that kind of cast a lot with Islam. Um but there are at least four major empires that are the inheritors of uh of the uh of the the cultural and ethical and bureaucratic tradition of the old Persian Empire. Uh one of them is Iran.

[00:13:04]One of them is the Ottoman state. One of them is the Mughal Empire in India. Uh uh and the the the fourth one is the uh the the empires of Central Asia. And all of them the the language actually of all of them was Persian. And in fact the uh the the spoken dialect of Persian that's closest to uh what we call classical Persian is not what's spoken in Iran which is almost unintelligible to it but it's actually what's spoken in um in Afghanistan Tajikistan and Dar and Bkar and Samaran.

[00:13:36]>> Uh and so uh just the other day like you know this is one of the things that that we deal with as Muslims like seminary students don't learn Persian anymore.

[00:13:42]The idea is like well if the Quran is in Arabic and the uh uh um the hadith of the prophet peace be upon him are in Arabic so what's the point of learning this language is kind of superfluous to it and I think we lose a lot we lose a lot a lot of the tradition of of Sufism a lot of tradition of state craft a lot of the tradition of logic of uh um logic and philosophy yes a lot of it is very uh if you know if the books the primary source books are not in in Persian then at least the the kind of institution of glosses and commentary Aries, a lot of them are are in Persian and a lot of the uh a lot of the the really foundational thinkers, legal theorists, philosophers um in the uh in the Muslim intellectual tradition were Persian speaking people right from the beginning basically.

[00:14:29]>> Right. Right. Uh and so and so yeah uh you know I I I agree with you and I think that once you understand that the Iranians don't have a monopoly on this on this tradition in fact a lot of it is better preserved in the Ottoman states or in uh the Mughal Empire than it is in Iran because precisely because the u the classical period of Persian uh Islamic culture was completely Sunni. the Shia uh kind of takeover of Iran is something that happened something in around the 1600s around the same time that the Philippines like we were talking about before Islam kind of became politically active in the Philippines it was relatively recently it's been a while but it's not it's not like ancient times it's not antiquity >> well in this in this country I mean I mentioned three three ethnic groups protestant Catholic Jew >> the dominant ethnic group was Protestant this country was founded by Protestants Samuel Huntington as of 2000 wrote a book, Who Are We? And he said, "We're Anglo Protestants."

[00:15:28]>> Sure.

[00:15:29]>> Well, I'm not Anglo. My father's Irish and my mother is German. Uh, and I'm not a Protestant. So, how do I fit into this thing? And that's in many ways what that what that book is about.

[00:15:40]>> What I'm saying here is that one of the things that's going to disappear now is Protestantism. It's disappearing. You know, whether you like it or not, it's just something that is disappearing.

[00:15:49]It's been around for 500 years. I think it never should have existed. It was a looting operation to begin with. It broke the unity of Christrysendom uh and enabled the Turkish march up the Danube uh as the scourge of God because the Christians were fighting each other. But it's going it's disappearing. And I'm saying at the same time we may have the rise of the Muslim American as because when this triple melding pot theory was founded in 1930s there were practically no Muslims here.

[00:16:22]I mean I'm sure there were some but it's not a significant minority.

[00:16:28]>> But now we're starting to realize because of uh weaponized migration. I mean, let's be honest here, especially in Europe, but also in America, the the sellers uh immigration bill where they didn't want any more northern Europeans as they're bringing people from all. We have a significant Muslim population and that's going to be part of uh what uh our American uh identity.

[00:16:53]>> Well, I mean, I'll push back a little bit with that because I think there's a difference between what immigration was, you know, maybe like in the 70s and up until the 80s and what it was later. My father didn't come to this country on a quota my or on like a visa lottery or any of that stuff.

[00:17:06]>> What year did he come over?

[00:17:07]>> He came in 1974 and he came he came particularly because of his technical proficiency. He had a master's degree in engineering and so uh it was it was like a merit-based uh qualification that he had. We have something like that now which is a H1B visa. But the problem is that the H-1B visa right now, which is really politicized, um it's it's ridiculous that they're hiring for people under the pretense that somehow or another we don't have enough people that that have those skills in America, but we do. We're just undercutting their their their wages. Uh, and so I, you know, but I think in that time I don't think it was as clear-cut that we had that many people with those technical skills and proficiencies because the thing is one of the things that that's that's kind of a push and pull that's going to be, you know, in our discussion with one another. Obviously, with love and respect and tea and all of that other stuff, right? You're my elder. I don't want I don't want to do anything insulting or like you show bad bad uh uh character to you, especially cuz your son is m the size of an ogre and just like kind of friendly person but very friendly looking gentle but he is he is sitting there kind of looking down at [laughter] me uh from a perch so I'm with this guy I'm not I'm trying not to you know >> he was he would deal with demonstrators with the that huge bulk he >> yeah instead of shooting him he was just [laughter] bang their heads together was over he's my spiritual son okay >> but but uh but you know there one of the things I think that that may be a little bit different in our our perception of all of these things is that uh it may not have been the case originally, but eventually some point in in America, Irish people became white people. Uh and so >> there's a book by that title, by the way. Is there >> by the professor at Harvard?

[00:18:49]>> Yeah.

[00:18:50]>> Who grew up in Philadelphia book was called when the I or how the Irish became white.

[00:18:56]>> Yeah. There you go. Uh and so uh uh and by the way, I have a lot of love for Irish people like Ireland Irish. There's one thing people over here, you know, you see meet someone drunk on St. Patrick's Day. I'm not talking about that. I'm talking like actual people from Ireland like traveling in the world and things like that. Uh I' I've had a lot of uh sympatico with them. But uh you know one of the things is that there definitely there's like some race anxiety that people have >> in Ireland.

[00:19:23]>> No, no, no. Well, they may have it over there as well. They don't seem to display it as much. They seem to be very friendly people. But uh over here I mean um and that is that this idea that somehow immigration is there to like end white hijge hegemony in America and if that was the purpose it's definitely not working in my opinion.

[00:19:40]>> Yeah.

[00:19:41]>> Uh >> I think I'm I'm going to be honest with you. I think white is identity theft. M >> I'm saying this is this this guy's grandfather >> Mhm.

[00:19:50]>> uh was living in Marquette Park and Martin Luther King showed up >> in Marquette Park and his grandfather is throwing rocks at Martin Luther King.

[00:19:58]His grandfather was such a good shot he hit Martin Luther King on the head.

[00:20:02]>> Okay.

[00:20:02]>> And Martin Luther King had to go back and fell down and it was awful. This show you what awful people he came from.

[00:20:09]So if you ask if you looked at the street then >> you think well there's Martin Luther King. Well, they're black. Well, they must be white.

[00:20:18]>> Yeah.

[00:20:18]>> But if you asked his grandfather what he was, he'd say, "Well, I'm Lithuanian."

[00:20:22]>> Yeah.

[00:20:23]>> This is identity theft, right?

[00:20:25]>> The whole idea of pushing you into a group and then giving you a false identity. And that's classic white identity. If you're white, you're a racist. If you're a racist, you're a bad person. If you're a bad person, we can do anything we want to you. Right?

[00:20:38]That's the identity theft that is going on in America right now with with the Catholics.

[00:20:45]We had this in Chicago. I I'm sorry.

[00:20:47]I've already talked about Chicago. In St. Louis, >> they after Black Lives Matter, there's a wave of iconoclasm sweeping the country.

[00:20:55]They want to tear down this uh statue of St. Louis in St. Louis. The guy is who who's the leader here. He calls himself a Muslim. He's called his name is Umar Lee. Calls himself Umar Lee.

[00:21:06]>> By the way, he's apostated several times and he's kind of like known to be a drug addict and like all this stuff. Yeah.

[00:21:10]Yeah. He's not a he's not a serious he's not a serious figure. He told me he was a Muslim.

[00:21:14]>> No, I'm not saying he's not a Muslim in the sense I'm not going to like I'm not going to anathemaize him or excommunicate him. You know, a person can our teaching is that a person can sin a thousand times. You know, as long as they're willing to repent, God is willing to accept it. But I'm just saying that after a couple of stupid things happen, you're like, "Okay, yeah, maybe this guy's not really serious."

[00:21:31]And so, he's definitely made that list as far as I'm >> concerned. I I You're right. And was working with the rabbi, the lady rabbi.

[00:21:37]She was the power behind this whole movement.

[00:21:39]>> Sure.

[00:21:39]>> So, what does he do? He says, "This is white supremacist.

[00:21:44]>> They're defending the statue.

[00:21:46]>> So, I'm looking at the demonstration.

[00:21:48]They're praying the rosaries. Do white supremacists pray the rosary?"

[00:21:51]>> No. No.

[00:21:52]>> I said, "Look, this is you're this is identity theft. These people are Catholic and you're calling them white because you know if you ident they identify as white, you win because they're all racist." So, the last procession they have an African nun ringing a bell leading the prison. Well, that would blow up his whole white supremacy. I'm saying this is the way this racial politics works. And I'm saying white is not is a form of identity theft.

[00:22:16]>> Yeah. And by the way, the most like accurately anti-Muslim figures in the Catholic Church, you know, like I would say 80 85% of them are like black or brown people. Um, uh, Cardinal Sarah absolutely has very little good to say about Muslims ever.

[00:22:31]>> He's he's Nigerian.

[00:22:32]>> He's he's Nigerian, so which means he's probably like relatives with like Muslims or something. There's a battle going on in Nigeria. Some people say it's not Muslim Catholic. Some people say it's a a house ebo.

[00:22:46]>> Yeah.

[00:22:46]>> But uh that's where he's coming from.

[00:22:48]>> As long as you don't talk about the killing of the Christians in Lebanon. I see you have the Lebanon pin on, you know, so we can talk about Nigeria all we want. I know one of the things but perhaps you'll find entertaining. I I do again I do respectfully disagree with some of what you're saying. Um, one of the things you'll find entertaining about me is like, uh, these guys are sick of hearing from me is that I don't even think race exists because there's no real objective definition of race.

[00:23:10]Like in Islam, there is like talk of what people package as like Islam's teachings against racism are not really even teachings against racism in the sense that there's no objective definition of racism. So they will try to cast um the the boasting and arrogance that people have because of lineage because lineage is objective.

[00:23:28]You know who your father is, you know who your grandfather is.

[00:23:30]>> Ethnicity. Well, lineage is lineage, right? You can, you know, a father can look black, the son can look white, the other kid can look this. It has nothing to do with the phenotypical expression is just who your fathers are, right? Uh um and so racist, I completely agree with you. It's a farce. It's a complete joke and it's it doesn't it's like identity theft is a wonderful way of explaining it. I'm going to use it from now on because it connects two things.

[00:23:56]is that one is that this thing makes no sense, but people don't do things for no reason. Uh, and if you don't have a plan, someone else will make you a tool in theirs. So, that that kind of bridges that gap, >> but I don't like, you know, like I would have protested St. Louis's statue. Why?

[00:24:10]Because we're obviously not Catholic, so we don't believe the man's saint. just because he died of dysentery sieging Tunis, this guy's like a homeland, you know, so probably he probably wouldn't like him for that reason, not because white supremacy or whatever. But like, you know, there again, the outcomes may be somewhat similar, but I think as thinkers, we appreciate that.

[00:24:28]>> Would you say you would have want that statue torn down?

[00:24:31]>> I probably would not appreciate a statue of St. Louis in my city. Uh, >> in the city of St. Louis.

[00:24:37]>> I would not even appreciate the city being called St. Louis to be honest [laughter] with you because of my because of my lack of respect for the for the individual and like what he you know what he lived and died doing uh as a French monarch who like you know basically made war on on the Muslim world. As a Muslim you could you should appreciate how like I'm not going to like you know I'm not going out tonight you know with a baseball bat and going to like smash it and like you know ride or whatever. But if someone asked me my opinion, I have an opinion. People have their feelings about like for example, there are two Greeks that are in a Turkish jail right now because they unfurled the flag saying orthodoxy or death and started singing hymns inside of the eye Sophia, right? Uh and so although I personally believe it's a a mosque and uh uh do uphold the claim uh of the Muslims and of the Turks to the place, I can understand how it would hurt like a Greek person's feelings that this is a like the building is a >> a part of their history as well. I can understand why and like how it's you know tactful behavior dictates you just don't throw it up in their face and like you know be a jerk about it, you know, right? Uh, and I tell them, I'm like, "Look, they're probably not going to give it back to you, and I wouldn't if I was in control, but you could visit anytime, and it's open for you, and nobody's gonna say no. You know, you know, nobody like I think that that it may not be what you wanted, but it's definitely not all the way at the like most horrible end of the of the continuum, you know."

[00:25:57]>> All right. This this I understand that.

[00:25:58]>> Yeah.

[00:25:59]>> Now, we're both Americans. Sure. Right.

[00:26:01]We both are grew born here, >> right?

[00:26:04]>> Sure.

[00:26:05]>> Okay. But what's that mean? I've already told you that when the Irish came here, they were absolutely hated minority.

[00:26:11]They were bo constantly portrayed as being subhuman, >> right?

[00:26:15]>> But, uh, we're here. So, if you have a there was a a famous bishop in in New York City, Bishop Use, they called him Dagger John because of the way he made the cross. Looked like a dagger. Okay.

[00:26:32]>> Puio.

[00:26:33]So anyway, um he would tell these Catholics, "Don't cross the Hudson River." Uh because if you cross the Hudson River, you'll become a Protestant >> because we don't have churches over there. And if you go to places like Indiana, you're definitely going to become So don't go. Stay here.

[00:26:49]>> Well, he was not an American.

[00:26:51]>> I mean, he was here. Yeah.

[00:26:52]>> But he wasn't wasn't an American.

[00:26:54]>> What was he?

[00:26:55]>> Well, he's Irish.

[00:26:56]>> There you go.

[00:26:57]>> Like, why why am I Why am I here?

[00:26:59]Because my grandfather was cheap labor.

[00:27:01]>> Yeah.

[00:27:01]>> Why is everyone here? They're cheap labor, right?

[00:27:03]>> And so, but it's but that's what happens when you're here and you have children >> like, okay, you're you're the child of now you're born here. Okay, my father, you're like my father. He was his father was born someplace else. By the third generation, for better or for worse, I'm an American. I am an American. And you notice it when you live outside the country, living in Germany for three years. I I got into we it was with a bunch of Germans and I said I said we Germans have to stick together and the guy said to me only an American would say that. [laughter] So here I'm trying to identify with my mother's no I'm an American. So the question is how are you going to be an American?

[00:27:48]>> Yeah.

[00:27:48]>> Like what kind of American you go? How far are you going to go? Yeah.

[00:27:51]>> Like what what what is acceptable? What is not acceptable? Right. And that became a crucial issue like if you're out as long as the Catholics are here, you know, like so uh on e on Good Friday, you have ashes >> Yeah.

[00:28:07]>> put on your forehead.

[00:28:08]>> Sure.

[00:28:09]>> Well, it's in my another book. Uh so the guy has ashes. He goes to public school in Philadelphia. The teacher immediately says, "Go wash those ashes off your forehead because we're not going to let you in the class if you have ashes on your forehead."

[00:28:22]>> I would have been like, "Great. I'm not going to [laughter] class.

It's kind of a guilty like some people watch NBA basketball. I argue with trolls. So, uh uh one of the things with with a lot of these kind of like what they call white nationalists, which I don't know, it could be just some dude in a call center in India or Tel Aviv or whatever you an Israeli, >> you know what I mean? Like a settler woman like taking care of her two children while like, you know, writing racist stuff on on on on my like Facebook page. But uh one of the things I say look look you know you guys complain about Muslim Muslims are taking over the horde is at the gates London oh look at Paris look this is what happened to Europe is happening in America there's a I don't you you seem like blissfully unaware of like the stupid controversies that are being made into a big deal now. So if you have like a Facebook page right now, the biggest crisis happening in America is that some Muslim group like rented out the water slides at a water park for like a private event and the governor of Texas called up that that that the the city hall in that city and said, "If you don't cancel this event, we're going to like yank all like city funding to your thing." So like, you know, to me, I'm like, "Look, you guys can hate on us all you want and you can in fact kill us all. In fact, the technology exists.

[00:37:05]There are places in the world where Muslims have been completely like annihilated from from a particular place. It's all possible. The problem is this is that if you're not going to marry your girlfriend, if you're going to have a boyfriend and not have children or whatever, like that it's a zero like you're not going to go anywhere.

Uh to me the interesting question is not necessarily whether or not we're going to legalize or illegalize abortion or contraception or any of that. The more interesting question to me is like what are we going to do now? Like are people going to actually like men? Are they going to actually marry women and are women going to marry men and like actually raise families and or are are we just going to have a society that's like doomed to like illegitimate children being raised without you know both of their parents and then growing up with all of you know in a society that's shaped by all the dysfunctionalities that happen with that you know all the dysfunctionalities that happen with the proliferation of of of uh of illicit uh uh sex of fornication of adultery of pornography of all of these things >> um that you on one side, you know, it's like the Schroingers like Muslim. Like on one side, he's like horrible because he uh um you know, has a very conservative uh uh legal system that basically legal legally prescribes these things. And then on the flip, so you're going to be pissed off at him because of that, but at the same time, you're also going to be upset at him because he's like destroying traditional society.

I think that that there are some Protestants that are still serious about their religion uh in America. There not so many of them left and I didn't grow up with a lot of them around. I I grew up in the West Coast. Chicago is kind of like I think this part of Chicago is a little bit nambi pami as far as that's concerned. Although Elmhurst and uh Weaten are here. Uh but like for example, I was imam in a mosque in Cleveland. Ohio still has a lot of very committed religious uh uh uh Protestants, but you see that it's it's kind of slipping away and that the first the first uh you know group of people who uh um that kind of like kind of went away from that was the women and then afterward the men followed and now there's a group of women who are trying to kind of come back to it and they're they're wondering where are where are all the men now? Uh where are the men who are ready to be heads of households or fathers? problem is I feel like the the for all three groups uh the relationship between men and women and the idea of what makes you like a husband or what makes you a wife or what makes you a man or woman it's become so toxic and so poison you have to have a really um almost distastefully distastefully counterculture attitude about life in order to be >> survive genuine countercultural attitude I raised my children >> with I never had a television >> see that's wonderful you that and that >> how many TVs do we have at home, >> right?

Now, they could go down the street and watch television there. I'm like, you know, okay, you want to go there, but your father didn't approve of it. He didn't have it in in the house.

[00:41:26]And so as a result that was a counter raising them in a countercultural f I tried to impress upon them if you do what this culture tells you to do they will eat you alive.

[00:42:18]They come over with this inferiority complex. They want to be accepted by the majority. And so what are you willing to do to be accepted?

So my generation at a certain point realized that there was such a thing as social engineering. They didn't know what it was. They couldn't articulate it. But they went in the opposite direction and created something called the hippie uh movement, the counterculture.

Uh uh uh but if you do that you have to believe in 74 gendersh or you can believe in two genders but then you can't recycle your your uh your cans you know and like you can't worry about the environment and uh and they're like yeah I go but there's no reason like you can actually believe in two genders and still like you know uh save the world. like that's what our what what we're proposing to you as a solution is to not get mired into that weird culture war. But that was a fair amount of engineering, a fair amount of like weird like psychopathic killers, you know, trying calling anti-semitism cards >> while chopping their girlfriends up. A lot of that happened again and again and again in this country in order to make it to the point where people have their minds, the way they think about things have become so warped. But yeah, it's run by Muslims now. So if you don't if you don't have children, you don't have access to the future and your place will be taken by people who do have children. It's that simple. That's just the demographic rule of life.

[00:56:43]I think this is an important an important discussion and I think that what we we we are Americans. Okay. There was a time when America shared a moral consensus that made us prosperous. Uh the same group that as our enemy now broke that moral consensus with pornography which is always a Jewish operation. Abortion which is a a a fundamental Jewish value. I've written books about this type of thing. And I think that what we need is uh uh as Americans an ability to say yes, we're Americans, but I'm a Catholic American and he's a Muslim American and we're going to assimilate. We have our religious freedom here, which is what that thing was about. So don't um don't infringe on my religious freedom.

[00:57:36]Don't tell me I have to support some immoral war in in the Middle East because I'm an American. Don't do that.

[00:57:43]This is the threat that now the the peak pegs of the world are doing. That somehow I have to support this war because Jesus Christ No, Jesus Christ didn't tell anything about this war.

[00:57:54]>> And I'm saying that we have to assert our ethnic identity as Americans.

[00:58:03]Okay. And that ethnic identity is based on religion and they are different religions. But these are different.

[00:58:13]There was a time when the Catholics were supposed to become Protestants when they came over here. No, it didn't work. It doesn't work. It's not going to work. It turns out that you can be a Catholic American. And I'm saying the moment now the Protestants are disappearing. And what's I see on the rise is a Muslim America. It fits perfectly in with what was called the triple melting pot, which would probably have to be called the quadruple melting pot, but maybe the triple melting pot because maybe the Protestants won't be here anymore.
